txt minisode 3 first impressions
I'll see you there tomorrow
10x more fun than I would have anticipated based on preview
excellent start to the album
such a txt-esque bop
WE CAN ALWAYS TRUST THE FIRST SONG ON A TXT ALBUM the legacy continues
maybe my favorite from the whole album??? I'm shook
this song feels like running through a field of psychedelic candy canes and m&ms and jelly beans in a rainbow paradise
"there'll be no more sorrow, I'll see you there tomorrow" BET
Tomorrow morse code bitch
she robbed us of daydream acoustic version and she's so unnecessary on the album sorry I'm a hater ok moving on
Deja Vu
opening sequence's sister!!!!!!
at first listen I wondered whether this was a strong enough choice for a title track but then THE CHORUS HIT AND OMG
love that is sounds like Kpop Kpop ya know
would have preferred more instrumentals like electric guitar or drums this would go so hard with a live band
taehyun darling you are kpop's best vocalist I have no doubt like he's absolutely killing this song <3
"machi deja vuuuuuuu~~~~" soobin falsetto my beloved
beomgyu was the girl in the mv?? I'm confused lol but slay
Miracle
beomgyu vocals pre-chorus <333 "it's nothing without you"
fun, invigorating chorus !
I want an mv for this !!!!!
the blending of members' voices is so nice on this track
beautiful lyrics :')
The Killa
instrumental is way too similar to tinnitus and it's not giving anything new or surprising (besides the lyrics 😳)
but yeonbin unit with a sultry voice and beat is so cool and refreshing
Quarter Life
never mind this one is hands down my favorite
oh my god the instrumental
it's like a coming of age movie with an inspirational growing up montage
HELL YEAH I COULD RUN TO THE END OF THE EARTH LISTENING TO THIS
"I fucked it up" LET'S GO TAEHYUN SWEARING
new running anthem for sure I'm about to get so fit and fast thank u txt
they better promote this with the title track this is stunning

friends i'd really like to share it with you... this cartoon made my childhood and it still has my heart </3 reblogs are appreciated bcs i think it deserves more attention
Tumblr media
this is a 1981 soviet/ukrainian animated adaptation of alice in wonderland / through the looking glass directed by yefrem pruzhansky !!! i adore everything about this cartoon, its animation, its designs, its overall atmosphere - cursed and psychedelic but cosy at the same time, its soundtrack (each episode ends with alice's songs and they're so catchy and alice has the cutest voice) i think it captured the vibe of carroll's story perfectly...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
sorry i guess i was supposed to give some objective review but there'd be no objectivity just emotions PLEASE LOOK HOW ADORABLE IS THIS ALICE <333
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so i highly recommend you to watch it !!! as far as i know it can be found on yt with english subtitles
if this cartoon caught your interest after reading this post, my job here is done... have a nice day!!! <3 <3 <3

hey talviel!! i was searching through your blog and the internet because i wanted to find what the composition of skooma was (NOT PLANNING TO MAKE IT OR TRY IT, just out of sheer curiosity) and i was wondering if you had a recipe or any idea of what it would be. also i love your blog btw the dedication is absolutely astounding <333
Okay let's hope this doesn't relaunch #moonsugargate (if you weren't there don't ask). As you probably know, skooma is made from alchemically refined moon sugar. This recipe is for 18+ ONLY. If you are a minor, do not proceed to this link.
And I have to reiterate this again, years later, because some absolute sausage is probably gonna hate mail me for sharing this recipe. I do not and am NOT advocating for drug use. I personally believe in the positive health benefits of psychedelics, but do not recommend trying them to anyone who is not already doing so. And above all, I wish to destigmatise addiction and drug use.
The world is a cruel place. Stay safe, eat well, be kind. ~Tal

not only do i keep seeing 111 and 1111 but i've also been seeing 555 and 5555 and 333.
i've decided the universe wants me to open back up to spirituality in some capacity and that's why it keeps bombarding me with numbers
and the reason i find the numbers to be distressing is because i don't believe in that kind of stuff anymore, so then to have it shoved in my face as if it's real has kind of rocked my world
i'm gonna start taking the numbers as a good sign because i think i'm supposed to. and i think the numbers will slow down if i just accept them. that's why i've been trying to acknowledge it more. to try to get myself to accept it lol.
it's all so stupid but seeing repeating numbers makes me feel like i'm slipping back into psychosis. and it's hard to trust god when i only found god through powerful psychedelic trips. is any of that even real? i used to believe in god like it was almost a fact that god existed. i just had faith that there was something bigger out there, at work creating all this life. but the longer period of time i have apart from my last few spiritual awakenings it just feels less and less tangible and less and less believable.
was it all a hallucination? does that make it any less real?

Not me just now today years old finally figuring out what the title Fortuna Primigenia means🤦🏻‍♀️
honestly friend the fic title had alot more relevance back in the 1st iteration of the plot(it got overhauled like 4 times ) where there was an enormous focus on luck itself being a genetic marker passed on from the father specifically to the child but then the whole thing went new age conspiracy psychedelic spaghetti on me. but also I'm squealing bc that is such a cool nearly forgotten goddess and equally badass temple oh my goooodddd
thank you for sending me this friend I just blasted w nostalgia and that's gonna flavor the rest of my day in an amazing way. Take care you funky lil bean <333

Game #1:
🎶 Rules: You can usually tell a lot about a person by the type of music they listen to. Put your playlist on shuffle and list the first ten songs, and then tag ten people. No skipping!
Alright, my music taste is all over the place so let's see what we get >:)
1.
Yeah I don't have anything, I love the song and it makes me think of a specific animatic I watched ages ago so I listen to it a lot!! (god..... animatics...)
2.
I am a Tilly Bird fan through and through, I adore most of their songs and Ordinary is no exception. The mix of vocals and music is so good!
3.
SUCH a blorbo song! It's also upbeat while not being too heavy on the bass, which is what I want to listen to sometimes.
4.
Sighs yeah you can really see the Thai bl influence on my playlist. I found this through MSP Prom Night Live, and I really like it! The way the chorus is sung is so fun to me, and I love to play it on the guitar.
5.
This song is one of the ones that I listen to excessively for like a week and then ignore for a few months, but UPSAHL is definitely one of the artists I love. Her style is very specific to her!
6.
Yeah, like, I don't even have anything to say for this one. Gestures at blog :)
7.
I want to eat this song, it's such a specific mix of crunchy and soft! Plus, the vocals are so so good (+ layering!!).
8.
The original by Jeff Satur is absolutely amazing, but I also love Joongdunk's vocals for this one - specifically that one part right before the chorus that Joong sings. So good!
9.
Ahh man, this song is nostalgic because I listened to it a lot in my nightcore phase (yeah). I really like the lyrics for this one, and the focus on a simple backing track is super good.
10.
Phantogram my besties!! This song is like doing psychedelics (source: I've never done psychedelics) and it's very easy to get lost in. I love the chorus!
🎶Rules: When you get this, list 5 songs you’ve been listening to & tag people.
Okay, I'll shuffle my Most Played for this one so let's see...
1. Always Forever by Cults
2. I Go Crazy by Orla Gartland
3. ขอให้เธอโชคดี (Send You Off) by Tilly Birds
4. Stand By Lor by New Country นิวคันทรี่(MSP cover)
5. GOSSIP by Måneskin ft Tom Morello
All of these songs are 10/10 from me, I love them so much!

Meatbodies — Flora Ocean Tiger Bloom (In the Red)
Tumblr media
Chad Ubovich plays bass in Ty Segall’s Fuzz. He is the source of that band’s monumental churn and buzz, the noisy foundation for Segall’s psychedelic flights of fancy. Here in his own project, Meatbodies, he roils up a similar irresistible undertow, a stomach-vibrating low-end that grounds even his most playful tunes in heaviness.
Undertow is, possibly, the right metaphor, because by all reports, Ubovich fought the abyss to make this record—surviving the pandemic, mental instability, substance abuse, homelessness and an accident that left him unable to walk. He released 333 (“You could draw an upward slanting line from the disc’s snarling, disconsolate opening towards the mystic certainty that fills its later tracks, but the whole journey is worth taking,” said I in my 2021 review.) while still wrestling this material away from his demons. It is a sprawling, roaring, wild beast of an album, a double whose songs largely exceed the pop framework, rampaging forward five, six or seven minutes.
Even the disc’s most concise and lighthearted cuts lean into the gnostic. “Silly Cybin,” psychedelic on at least two counts, rides a catchy, boppy little tune about mushrooms into the whirlwind, amid blustery drums and spiraling, caterwauling guitars. “They Came Down” bristles with distortion, its main riff a dog chasing its tail in circles. But its chorus swaggers into stately view from there, not agitated at all but grand, anthemic and ritual. And “Move” judder to life on a dark echoey bass line, channeling the Wipers at their most apocalyptic, the Obits at their blues-torturing best.
It's all pretty intense, but like Segall, Ubovich looses dreamy psych meditations to float over turbulent distortion. Consider a shipwrecked sailor flailing through rough seas but glimpsing a brilliant sunset as he goes down. The struggle is all-consuming, but it opens out into brighter, freer, calmer vistas. In “The Assignment” slow booming bass riffs sound off amid snaggle-toothed guitar riffs and rolling explosions of drums. But the words dance without a care in an upper register untouched by conflict. “Wiggle your hips and sing all his songs,” Ubovich croons, way up high and there’s a party going on up there.
That, of course, sounds like Ty Segall and you can definitely trace the similarities. Still, this is a powerful piece of work, as serious about the trippy silliness as about the pitch and heave of amp overload. Flora Ocean Tiger Bloom, like its title, is several things at once. It rocks like a hurricane, dreams like a lotus eater.

what are your favorite albums of all time? choose as many as you want idek
Oh, is this inspired by my "details" post? Hmm, okay, let's try this:
"Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Vol. 1" by Coheed and Cambria. It's a concept album and I could not tell you the fucking concept outside of like... misogyny and violence. AND YET... it has stood the test of time. The guitar on every song FUCKS. Interesting vocal tone. Experimental and nonsensical FUN rock music.
"Europop" by Eiffel 65. The blue da ba dee album. The rest of it is really fucking good pop electronica. Or it's just so nostalgic to me I can't see how generic it is. IDC, the synth goes oFF without being too high energy.
"Details" by Frou Frou, obviously. Similarly, "Speak For Yourself" by Imogen Heap. While these albums don't contain my FAVORITE songs involving Imogen, they are my fave collections of her work. Music that feels like nostalgia--like guzzling a sparkling potion that bubbles inside you and pushes your sadness and fears and LOVE from your heart into your pores. Pop music for people who care about storytelling, lyrics, and true emotional connection.
"Multitude" by Stromae. Another, "Idk if fmy fave songs are on this album, but the project on the whole is the best one." Diverse sound, brilliant execution every time.
"Heart Station" by Utada Hikaru. Choosing a favorite Utada piece is hard but I think this has the tightest collection of tracks? Similar appeal to Imogen, though the musical influences are ethereal in a different way.
"Las Ruinas" by Rico Nasty. It's hard to even describe this album but I like how Rico keeps pushing new boundaries. I do like the dancier tracks here.
"Alive 2007" by Daft Punk.If you know Daft Punk, this is essentially a megamix of some of their best songs.
"Coloris" by She. Chiptune, electronica, idk how to describe this album. Feels like your brain is being carbonated.
"Renaissance by Beyonce." Sorry, such a generic answer I feel but... she did it. She put all her power into a dance album with diverse sound, making it all accessible without being watered down.
"Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" by MCR because duh.
"Commit this to Memory" by Motion City Soundtrack. If you were an emo kid and wanted to kill yourself in the mid 2000s, you know this album. Even if it Kills Me is a close second, btw. Or My Dinosaur Life. I love a lot of MCS tbh. It's emo... pop rock, not surprising for me.
"eMOTIVe" by A Perfect Circle. It's alt rock. It's anti-war and depressing. "Passive" was playing in my head 24/7; I'd mentally turn it into an AMV every single day fo my life for like a year. I wrote a poem about it. "Thirteenth Step" is a very close second.
Technically, it should be "Hold Your Colour" by Pendulum, since it got me into Drum & Bass but I prefer the rockier depths of "Immersion."
"The Happy Star" Lexie Liu. Experimental pop music that reinvents itself each track, sampling from different genres. I just find it really enjoyable and keep returning to it. Might be recency bias.
"333" by Tinashe. An album tht contains the whole human experience--sadness to horniness. Good for her. You can dacne AND cry? Good for you.
"Remember that You Will Die" by Polyphia. Largely instrumental... prog rock meets trap meets electronica?
Choosing a one direction album feels like being threatened at gun point so I won't. Just know they belong here.
"Making Mirrors" by Gotye. People mock him for disappearing after someone that i used to know BUT DID YOU STREAM THE ALBUM?? Jazzy at times, rocky at times, psychedelic at times, BUT DID YOU LSITEN????
The Sims (Original Soundtrack). If you don't get it, I'm not explaining. Kill yourself.
"Perfect Velvet" by Red Velvet. I do think this album is the best kpop has to offer and I'm not fucking joking. I think SM put so much of their pussy in this track, it made their downfall years later inevitable. SM music is so sketchy now because the entir ecompany sold their souls (and pussies, bussies, and extraneous holes) for this album. "I Just" and "Kingdom Come" alone are like... god tier. R&B by a kpop group done CORRECTLY.
"Reborn" by Kavinsky. Feels like alternate timeline Daft Punk, including the The Weeknd knock off track. I couldn't... not love it.
Foster the People's "Supermodel." This alt-rock album got to me when I was profoudnly mentally ill in college and never let me go.
"Season of Poison" by Shiny Toy Guns. I love their first album just as much, tbh, but the anger feels like it's aged better. This album feels like a God's retribution. It feels a religious experience, including all the scary kinds.
"What's Your PLeasure?" by Jessie Ware. Disco-y pop. Sensual. Slick. Longing.
"1 of 1" by Shinee. CHoosing a Shinee album was HARD. Incredible kpop. If you want SIIIINGERS, COME HERE LISTEN OT THEMMM.
and if I didn't want Brendon Urie dead it would be a fever you can't sweat out btu I literally can' tlisten to his voice without my stomache hurting so
I'm probably missing a bunch but these are the first to come ot mind while quickly scrollin thru my phone
feel free to ask me my fave tracks off the album or by these artists
