You're completely right!! S2's stupid storyline about having to leave behind "Liabilites" while also using AJ as a symbol for hope only works only works if he's a magic baby. So he can't actually have needs like a real infant.

I've come to find that the child characters in twdg have to be perfect little angels that don't mess up, don't talk back, and don't require special needs or patience for this fandom to like them. Clem gets a pass since the player has been by her side since day one and we've gotten to know her story and play as her multiple times. I understand if you don't like certain child characters or find them annoying but jfc the absolutely vicious talk I've seen from some people is insane to me. and yeah you're right, I just laugh now about how stupid that is in season 2. Like wow you really just spent all this time shitting on an autistic 15 year old for having a meltdown and using that as a reason to leave her behind. And then like 30 minutes later they present us with a newborn and expect the player to fucking care. It's such a mess.

Twdg Inktober Day 28 : Your Favorite Moment 

This one took longer than expected as you might notice with the date. Also why does my scanner always ruin the colors smh 

It was actually really hard to choose because there are so many moments I loved throughout the seasons, but I didn’t have the energy to draw multiple scenes, so I chose the moment where Carley told Lilly off in season 1. 

I love this scene because Carley is litteraly revealing the truth about Lilly’s character : she’s putting up a tough front, but deep inside she’s terrified and I find that attitude truly realistic and well-written. Even as a fan of Lilly, that angry face she makes when being called out is absolutely priceless. She knows Carley is right and just can’t handle it. Combined with stress and possibly paranoia, it’s the one thing that makes her snap, and I love it. Also Carley’s line is one of my favorites of the whole series.

Inktober Day 29 : Injured

It was another prompt where I wasn’t really inspired but suddenly I thought about RWBY and Pandora Hearts at the same time and how both series had a character who lost their left eye. And then I remembered Sean lost his left eye as well in Life is Strange 2 so I wanted to add him.

AJ tilted his head as he held the fish out, a small smile on his lips. "It's okay, little guy," he said, "take it." He shifted his crouching position a little so it was more comfortable.

The little brown tabby kitten took a small step forward, bright orange eyes shimmering in the mid-morning sun. Another little step forward, and its whiskers twitched as it sniffed the fish. AJ felt a flush of glee as it took a bite from the fish. "Yeah, there you go!" He giggled as the cat made a cute noise, taking another eager bite.

"I don't think Omar's gonna want to cook with this anymore," he realized, then set the fish down and looked at the other five in his bucket. "Let's hope this is enough." He rocked back and sat completely down, watching as the cat chowed down. "You're a hungry little guy, aren't you?"

The cat mrrped and set one of its paws on the fish, tearing out another chunk of fish. "You wanna come back home with me?" He asked, gently holding his hand out, just above the cat's head. "It's great there. There's really comfy beds, and so many other friends. I mean, there is Rosie… you two might not get along. But I'm sure it'll be fine! Rosie's really nice, even if she looks mean."

The cat looked up at AJ, licking its whiskers as its eyes landed on AJ's hand. It cringed away, backing up a couple steps. 

"No, it's okay!" AJ drew his hand back, holding it up in surrender. "You don't want me to touch you, got it. You can have more fish." He nudged the food towards it, smiling happily. 

He leaned back on his hands as he watched the cat eat. "where'd you come from?" He wondered aloud. "You don't look very old… where's your mom and dad?" He reached to his side and unclipped the worn baseball cap from his belt loop. "Do you have… anyone?" He asked, looking from the tattered blue-and-white item to the cat. "Or are you just… on your own."

The cat looked up from its fish, leaning its head to the side. AJ focused on its scrawny little stature, feeling a rush of sympathy. If this cat really didn't have anyone to keep it company… it would make him feel bad leaving it alone And just going home.

Slowly, he set his hat on the ground next to him, and held out his hand again. This time, the cat reached forward and sniffed his fingers. Tentatively, AJ reached one finger and stroked the cat's head.

It took a while, so long that AJ noticed the shadows from the trees moved with the sun's positions. By now, the cat had settled himself at AJ's side, purring with its head resting on his leg as he pet it. It was adorable, AJ won't lie. In fact, the only reason he hadn't returned to the school is because he was cooking up all the reasons to convince Clementine to let him keep the cat. There was no way he was letting this poor kitten keep wandering the world all by himself!

"There you are, you little scrapper." AJ turned and saw Violet approaching, bow in hand. "You had us worried! You really been fishing that long?"

"Hi, Violet," AJ greeted, and the cat raised his head in confusion. "Sorry, I got... distracted."

"Oh." Violet's eyes landed on the cat, realization dawning on her face. "You found a friend, huh?"

"Uh-huh." AJ nodded, a smile deepening on his face as the cat bumped his head into his arm. He stood, and grabbed his hat and clipped it back onto his belt loop. Then, he picked up the fish bucket. "I got this much. Did Aasim have any luck with the rabbit traps?"

Violet nodded. "Yeah, actually. I went out with him, and we actually spotted a deer. Didn't get to catch it, but it's out there."

AJ's eyes widened. "Do you think we're gonna catch it?"

"Maybe," Violet nodded. "One of these days, at least." She looked down, noticing the cat hadn't moved from its expectant position beside AJ. "Is your little buddy coming with us?"

"Can he?" AJ asked, hopeful. "I was kind of trying to find a way to ask. Since, you know I just figured. We have Rosie, why cant we also have a cat? And he was put here all alone…"

Violet tilted her head, seeming just a little sleepy. "Hmm. Maybe if we ask Clementine really nicely. It is a cutie." She knelt down, but the cat shifted away from her hand, pressed into AJ's ankle. "And seems like it already has a favorite."

AJ giggled at the false jealousy in her tone, and started walking forward on the trail home. He looked beside him, and saw the cat matching stride with him and keeping up. "He likes me!"

"He sure does," Violet noted, smiling with half-lidded eyes. "You given him a name? Or is he just 'the cat'?"

AJ looked down at the cat, humming. "Maybe Stripes? Because of the stripes on his fur."

"Stripes," Violet echoed, an approving smile on her face. "I like it. Now that you named it, Clem has got to let you keep it."

AJ giggled, watching as Stripes tumbled over a stick. "Good. I like him!"

TWDG Writing Challenge Write a drabble every day of November

Rules [sort of, I guess]:

1. Write a drabble every day of November following the prompts listed above. As I’ve said before, it’s okay if you miss some days or if you only want to participate a couple times in this challenge! Also, if you write more than 100 words, that’s okay, too! I’m not going to go around counting all of your works and then tsk-tsking you because you went over. If you feel like you have more to say with your stories, then please do so! 

Besides, let’s be real, look at who made this challenge. If I actually manage to write exactly 100 words without going over, it’ll be a miracle. Let’s just say that the 100-word thing is a minimum, m’kay? That’ll make me feel better when I end up posting 300-500 word “drabbles.” 

2. Tag each of your stories with #twdgdrabblechallenge so that I can easily find them to reblog, and make sure to tag me, too! I want to read what you write!

3. They don��t have to be masterpieces. This isn’t a competition and it isn’t supposed to be stressful. This is meant to exercise your writing skills and give you an opportunity to test out different writing styles, write different characters, or share ideas that maybe wouldn’t work for a 1k+ fic but are perfect for a drabble. 

4. Write what you want to write. If you want to write all 30 days about Louis or Violet or your favorite ship or about a character from a previous game, then do it! It might be fun to try and find a way to apply each of the prompts to a single character or ship, or you can go with the flow and write about whatever character/ship comes time mind that day. 

5. Have fun! Again, don’t stress out. If you miss a few days, fine! If the writing isn’t perfect, fine! If you don’t know what to write so you end up jotting down 100 words of absolute absurdity, fine! This challenge is meant to be fun and to encourage you to write.

OKAY SO I MADE SOME PROGRESS WITH THE ASKS.

I said I would respond to Asks today and I have. So far I've managed about 30 of them tonight.

However, instead of just posting them whenever I've finished replying I've instead created a plan.

I think it’s easier having a multimuse. i tried having a bunch of different blogs for my characters, and i kept forgetting about them.

Back in the day, there were tons of Carvers. currently i’ve only found one Corvo ( @corcorvo ). i haven’t seen another Viserion or walter.

I default to Ash for asks unless someone specifies otherwise or we’ve talked things over. so Ash.

For Carver, it’s assuming that he’s immediately going to beat the shit outta their characters.

I Have Many Feelings.

So, a few days ago I opened my FanFiction request box and yesterday I posted my first FanFic based on The Walking Dead Game’s season 3, and I currently have many emotions so I want to do a quick *backstory* and then I’ll get into what the point of this post is about.

Feel free to skip this part if you wish to get straight to the mushy-gushies about my gratitude. I’ll post in bold where the story ends.

As I’m sure many of you are aware, there was a large chunk of time last year where I wrote maybe 1 or 2 FanFictions every month, and even then sometimes I couldn’t bring myself to do that. The reason was, frankly, I thought people had given up on being interested in my writing. My numbers were going down, not a lot of people were reading what I was writing, and I found my lack of inspiration at an all time high. Not going to lie, seeing as I started post-secondary this year, I was actually tempted to quit on writing TWDG works altogether in mid-October because I felt like school was consuming my life too much. I had no time, I had no inspiration, and nobody was wanting to read my work. But still, I pushed through for the two or three people who still liked my posts on here, but I mainly continued because my Wattpad fanbase was extremely loyal, and each addition to my collection gained about 30 reads within the first few weeks and would continue to grow gradually over time. I continued for the few people who still liked reading them, because even if I could make those people happy, it was worth it to me.

However, I mainly focused on finishing The Coffee Date, which was my Wattpad novel I was working on and posting through the first half of 2016. Then, I worked on NaNoWriMo in November, and then I worked on planning future novels that I’m thrilled to write. The entire time, I forced myself to occasionally break and post a quick FanFiction for my audience that I thought still cared.

Well, after posting my announcement that my request box was back open, I learned I was wrong.

Upon posting the announcement that I was accepting requests again, I was flooded. I logged out for a few hours and came back to tons of asks packed with ready-to-offer ideas. They were all amazing.

But mainly, I was amazed and speechless at how many people referred to my past works when requesting new ones. People were referring to the work I thought nobody was reading because they wanted me to write more just like it.

Frankly, in this long winded / ramble-y post, I wanted to thank you guys for continuing to support me through the downwards spiral that was the end of 2016. 2017 looks really bright thanks to you guys and thanks to the support, inspiration and hope you’ve all already given me.

Thank you for supporting me. I promise, I won’t let you down. 💕
