Web Design Trends 2020 – Top 12 You Need to Follow
Can’t believe it, but it is true. The web has turned 31 years old now! And we have seen varieties of websites surfacing on it (coming & going) – from bland HTML ones to flash media websites to AI-centric automated websites (the chatbots one?). We have come a really long way. Transitioning websites according to the latest web design trends has become a lifeblood for every digital business (literally everyone). Because these new web design trends each year are created or approved by your internet users or more specifically, your would-be customers only. And in this fiercely competitive market, you can’t fail to dissatisfy your “future customers”, would you? Just like previous years, this year too, we have some mind-blowing web design trends 2020 prowling around, making a huge impact on the website’s growth in terms of customer engagement, brand value & revenue creation.
12 Amazing Web Design Trends 2020 You Shouldn’t Skip
It may sound weird but – “Website design is like a joke, if you have to explain it harder, it won’t make any sense”. Similar to a joke, your websites need to be effortless at the first look, self-explanatory in the second scroll, and convincing to explore & take a further step (like your joke would, to make them laugh) at the third look.
Without much waiting, let’s get into the 12 amazing web design trends 2020. They are effortless to follow, self-explanatory to look at, and convincing for visitors to enter the sales funnel.
1. Bold & Vibrant Colors Are In… More Than Ever
This year, we are seeing bold, bright, flashy colors taking the forward leap. The full bold colored websites with undertones of contrasting and less vibrant colors around the edges of images & texts will be big this year. The designers today are focusing on creating a web design that creates an equal experience for everyone. A color scheme with little contrast of a different color that people even with special abilities can feel and enjoy.
2. Web Design Trends 2020 Make Chatbots More Obvious & Much Powerful
This year, chatbots will be mainstream and much more efficient at reaching visitors’ quey (all thanks to evolving AI & machine learning). The chatbots will be much more customized than ever. Also, they will appear as if there are real business reps behind the screen. Moreover, they will be in more loud & popping colors. They will reach faster & better at users’ silly to crucial queries with a personable face (maybe of business rep, cartoon character, or some mascot for the brand).
Chatbots are of different types, the ones with choice based questions, the humorous ones, etc. Additionally, you can choose to script the chatbots per your brand’s conviction & image in the market by partnering with any professional company for web design.
3. Motion UI – Graphics Will Not Be Just Still
Motion UI is another soaring trend, from which websites can’t keep hands-off. The graphics with slight to full swing animation can add a volume to your simple & static website. This year, websites will be all about winning the users’ hearts with animated graphics at the micro-interactions of the website.
Mobile UI can be added in a mobile screen picture as a moving mobile screen, or on a clothing eCommerce website, where the model gives a 360 turn in product pictures to give buyers an interactive & appealing look. You can experiment with Motion UI anywhere on the website from top to bottom. However, animation should be approachable and should be neither too fast nor too slow – to make sense to website visitors.
4. Web Design Trends 2020 in Color Palettes
Every year, there is a new color that dominates the web design trends. According to Web Design Company experts, yellow was the main color for 2018 trends, blue for 2019 trends, and this year, it is said to be the cool & breezy color “mint”.
Apart from just mint or any particular colored websites, we are seeing designers taking the websites to a whole new level with gradients – that has hues of a different color. It is best for businesses that can’t point fingers at just one solid color scheme. The gradient fluid will give more depth to the viewers in the first look.
Another color trend will be based on your brand theme, type, and target customers’ behavior or thinking pattern.
Like:
For information & other backgrounds – Colors like soft grey, teal or blue will be a great match to make the content part more readable for users.
For CTAs and buttons – Colors as warm and flashy like red, green, orange will be much triggering to click on those buttons.
If you are unsure of what color scheme to follow, your company for web design can help to find the best color palette to splash over your website type.
5. Fonts in Web Design Trends 2020 Are Bold and Edgy
San-serif and serif font are the two popular fonts. They will see a continued use this year too with outlined or more dark colors to make them stand out. The bold and broad fonts in landing page headings or subsection headings will steal the users’ attention in a thunder.
The fonts in the website’s banner or header will either have solid colors or some still or moving illustrations to make a lively connection with the visitors. The fonts will stand out on the surface of either light grey or other soft colors or extra edge pop-up colors.
Also, note. You have to decide the typeface & font type based on your brand’s notion, the company’s overall goal, and your audience’s behavior pattern.
Ask your web design company to choose a font and typeface that’s easy for readers to read as readability also counts big in the enhanced UX. Avoid adding complex and cursive fonts as it might confuse the readers and compel them to move out from the site instantly.
6. Minimalism Still Looks Full
Minimalism is a classic and never-getting-old design concept. A minimalistic design means fewer web elements, content, as well as more white spaces, and limited typography. Consequently, it gives the user room to think and explore the website much better.
This year too, the trend of minimalistic design is shifting from previous trends and despite being less, it will be more to the visitors.
You have to pull in minimalism with a lot of care. Make sure the design is understandable and has basic things that a user expects over your website. Keep the images, animation, content limited but in a way that readers are still able to connect the dots to satiate their queries & fall into the sales funnel.
7. Videos Are Dominating in Web Design Trends 2020
Videos are the timeless & most classic thing to add to modern web design trends. Try having a combination of text, visuals, and audio-video content. It creates a balance and caters equally to both the “patient” and “on-the-go” readers.
Readers who don’t have much time & are looking for information on the instant, for them, videos portraying the brand message, animation, or small collage of photos can create a long impact on their choice to stay and explore that website.
A general user loves a website that can showcase its content or offer – in other than just a boring wall of text. Companies today are exploring video-based content and are integrating such videos over their interfaces to serve on-the-go aesthetics.
You can add videos about anything, like product description, use, tutorial, step by step guide, social messages, and brand story. Likewise, you can even integrate your Youtube videos to look like a very well-established brand.
8. More Interactive Micro-interactions Are in Focus
Micro-interactions are the small actions or interactions throughout the website that grab the eyeballs of readers. Additionally, they attract visitors to different sections or elements of the website. Think of the red icons displaying the number of friend requests on Facebook. Or, remember a beep sound on refreshing the Twitter page. All these small icons before any text are all sorts of purposefully-done micro-interactions.
This trend is clamoring this year too. Actually, it is the best way to transfer the information or message to the audience with a more appealing UI. You can decide any type of micro-interaction at different sections of your website. Yet, you have to ensure they are creative, not overdone, gives a subtle overall UI look.
9. Increased Attention to UX and UI – Hand in Hand Web Design Trends 2020
The modern web design trends are showing support to UX (website functionality) and UI (website’s creative interface), congruently. This year, websites with smooth functionality along with impeccable UI are in more limelight. The web design company is focusing on creating a website that gives glitch-free and completely smooth user experience, with:
Less cluttering elements – more of white space for breathing
Navigable, easy to read and SEO-optimized content
The fast loading speed of the website
Balance of rich multimedia as visuals, infographics, videos, 3d illustrations & more
And to keep the user experience in great momentum, designers are focussing on creating more edgy and intuitive interfaces to maximize the UX of visitors with:
Transcribing the videos
Adding caption of the image
Making voice-supportive interfaces
Having balanced UX motion & other animations
Easy to skim content framework
Removing cluttering elements or features that are not necessary
Mobile responsive interface (more than 50% of internet traffic comes from mobile devices)
10. Web Design Trends 2020 Include Illustrations Tailored to Tell a Brand Story & Beliefs
Modern websites have a range of multimedia from visuals to illustrations to stock photos to icons. They appear on the website not just to bring more colors or visual appeal to readers. In fact, they are used for a much bigger purpose.
And that bigger purpose is to weave an exceptional brand identity. So, you can achieve it by telling a brand story, beliefs, use cases, or thought- process from the core level.
If you see NPO websites, you will notice how such websites are surfaced on top of positive deeds & optimism, such websites’ pictures deliver an out loud message (about helping the marginalized communities) for visitors.
You can have a splash of real photographs or have vector collections. Additionally, you can try street-art inspired graphics, icons, or illustrations that truly encapsulate your brand’s identity and visions. Ask your web design company to weave you some high-quality images or visuals. The latter should correlate with your brand and have a purpose to convey to the readers.
11. Large Elements Are “In” in Web Design Trends 2020
This year’s theme is all about going for bold, big, and users’ screen size elements to deliver a fuller look. This year, the contact forms for businesses too will have a broad appearance.
The contact forms are for picking a product inquiry, signing up for a service, service analysis, and much more. Users generally ditch the contact forms due to their limited size. This year, we will see websites going for full-length lead forms. They will be visible enough for users to fill in, without ditching them in one-go.
To make the forms appear less tedious or boring, you can add micro-interactions around as. For instance, try showing procedures to fill the form, some additional words to inspire people to fill up, if it is a lengthy form, divide that into different sections & give interactive scrolling buttons at the bottom.
12. Luminous, Fluorescent 3D Artworks Are Calling in For Great Attention
3D images and artwork have been there around the block for quite a long now. But this year, we are seeing the luminous, fluorescent, or neon-colored 3D visuals taking an edge more than ever.
The neon colors visuals or illustrations in the 3D effect on top of the minimal and basic template are grabbing the users’ attention much widely.
3D artworks are more prime this year to give the website more intense interaction with users and neon colors to give that lively & energetic look to the website layout. Together they combine to give an edge or personality to any UI.
P.S. While going for this trend, ask your company for web design to use the collection of neon colors in cohesion & moderation and scatter them around the overall UI. Too many concentrated neons can create a dizzy or noisy look. Surface these artworks on primary & subtle colors like white, grey, or light blue to make that artwork highlighted promptly.
Final Takeaway on 12 Modern Web Design Trends 2020
Each year new design trends come and go. If you fail to follow them, your scope for winning impactful brand identity and sales may be long gone with that obsolete trend too. Netizens love exploring a website that steps out from its comfort axis and has something spontaneous to offer (according to changing trends). They longer like a website that was made long years back and hasn’t changed anything to participate more actively in its audiences’ concerns & beliefs.
We just chalked 12 amazing web design trends 2020 that your website too needs to address – to be counted as a genuine and evolving brand – that your target audience expects you to be.
Are you determined not to put your audience’s interest down? Follow the above and many other stunning web design latest practices. Also, you can also for the help of a professional web designing company.

Making Minimalism Functional in Web Design
Today, great design isn’t just about conveying the right amount of information in a certain number of pages.
There’s more to creating the perfect website than experimenting with visuals and sound. Designers need to think carefully about how each element of their site impacts the overall user experience.
After all, with billions of websites available to explore, it takes something truly immersive to convince your client’s audience that they should stay on their pages. The more convenient and attractive your websites are, the more likely it is that visitors will want to stick around.
Minimalism, one of the more popular styles of web design from the last few years, can sometimes assist designers in making attractive and effective websites more functional.
The less clutter and confusion there is on a page, the easier it is to navigate.
So, how do you embrace the benefits of functional minimalism?
Understanding Functional Minimalism
Many webs designers are convinced that minimalism is all about aesthetics.
They see a website like Hugeinc.com and assume that the minimalist appearance is all about making the website as attractive as possible.
However, the underlying ideas of minimalism in web design go much deeper than this. The history of minimalist design begins with Japanese culture. Japan has long focused on balancing simplicity and beauty with its architecture, interior design, and even graphic design. In the Western world, minimalism got its day in the sun in the web design environment, after customers endured years of cluttered and complicated web pages with difficult navigation, overwhelming information and clashing graphics.
Designers began to experiment with the idea that less really could be more — particularly when it came to the digital landscape.
The Functional Rules of Minimalist Web Design
For a while, minimalism was the most popular style for a website. During 2018, in particular, minimalist web design soared to the top of the designer demand list, as companies fell in love with a combination of white space, simple navigation and bold text.
While now, there are other design trends stepping into the industry, designers can still benefit from exploring some of the essential rules of functional minimalism. After all, visual complexity has been proven to damage a person’s perception of a website.
Additionally, a study conducted by the EyeQuant group found that a clean and simple design can lead to a lower bounce rate. Minimalism gives viewers less to contend with on a page, which can allow for a simpler and more straightforward experience. Additionally, a clean website can also drive additional benefits, including faster loading times, better responsivity between screen sizes and more.
Because you’re only using a few images and well-spaced text, you can even experiment with different strategies, like graphics and dynamic fonts. Look at the Manuel Rueda website, for instance, it’s a great example of how a minimalist design can be brimming with activity.
So, how can any designer use the principles of functional minimalism?
1. Focus on the Essentials
First, just like when designing a landing page, designers need to ensure that they’re concentrating only on the elements in the page that really need to be there.
This means removing anything on the website that doesn’t support the end-goals of the specific page that the viewer is using. Any pictures, background noise, buttons, or even navigation features that aren’t going to support the initial experience that the visitor needs, must go.
Think about what’s going to distract your visitors from the things that are important and concentrate on giving everything a purpose. For instance, the Plus63.org website instantly introduces the visitors to the purpose of the website, then allows users to scroll down to get more information. The data is spread clearly through the home page, pulling the viewer into a story.
2. Embrace the Positives of Negative Space
Negative space is one of the fundamental components of good minimalist web design.
Every part of a good website doesn’t need to be filled with noise to make a difference. White, or negative space can help to give your viewer the room they need to fully understand the experience that they’re getting.
From a functional perspective, it’s the difference between placing someone in an overflowing storage container and asking them to find what they need or placing them in a room where items are carefully spaced out, labelled, and waiting for discovery.
The Hatchinc.co website uses negative space to ensure that information is easy to consume. You can find the different pages of the site easily, the social media buttons, and the newsletter subscription tool. Plus, you get a chance to see some of the work behind the site.
3. Make it Obvious
One of the biggest problems that consumers have encountered in recent years, is the concept of “choice overload”.
Whether you’re in a store, or on a website, you’re never sure what to do first. Do you check out the blog posts on the site to learn more about the authority of the company? Do you visit the “About” page, to see where the brand come from? Do you head to their product pages?
As a designer, functional minimalism can help you to make it obvious what your audience should do next. As soon as you arrive on the AYR.com website, you’re not overwhelmed with choice. You can either head to your bag, “shop now”, or check the menu.
Since the “Shop Now” CTA is the biggest and most compelling, the chances are that most visitors will click that first, increasing the company’s chance of conversions.
4. Simplify the Navigation (But Don’t Hide It)
The AYR.com example above brings us to another concept of functional minimalism.
While minimalism and simplicity aren’t always the same thing, they should go hand-in-hand. When you’re designing for functional minimalism, you should be concentrating on helping visitors to accomplish tasks as quickly and easily as possible, without distraction.
That means that rather than overwhelming your audience with a huge selection of pages that they can visit at the top or side of the screen, it may be worth looking into simpler navigation options. A single menu icon that expands into a full list of items remains a popular design choice – particularly in the era of mobile web design.
For instance, look at the simple menu on newvision-opticien.com.
With this basic approach, designers can ensure that visitors are more likely to click through to the pages that their clients want their customers to visit. They can still find what they need in the menu, but it’s not taking up space on the page, or distracting them.
5. Set Great Expectations with the Top of the Screen
Functional minimalism can also help today’s designers to more quickly capture the attention of their visitors from the moment they click into a website.
The content that’s visible at the top of the page for your visitors is what will encourage them to take the next step in their online experience. Make sure that you’re providing something that keeps your audience interested and gives them the information they need.
That way, you’ll lower the risk of high bounce rates for your clients, while also taking advantage of minimalism’s ability to deliver quick access to information for your audience.
At the top of the page, the Kerem.co website instantly introduces the visitor into what the website is all about, and what they should do next.
You can even deliver more information in one chunk at the top of the page, without cluttering the environment, by using good UI animation.
Consider implementing a slideshow of pictures that flip from one image to the next, or a font section that dynamically changes as your audience has chance to read each sentence.
6. Use Functional Minimalism in the Right Spaces
Remember, functional minimalism isn’t just for home pages.
Depending on what you want to accomplish for your client, you could also embed the components of minimalism into landing pages, portfolios, and squeeze pages too.
After all, when there’s less clutter and confusion on a page to distract a potential audience, there’s a greater chance that your visitors will scroll to the bottom of the page and complete a conversion. For instance, look at how simple and attractive the Muzzleapp.com landing page is.
The page provides useful information and tells customers exactly what they need to do next. There’s no confusion, no complexity, and nothing to hold visitors back.
Just be careful. While functional minimalism can be very useful, it won’t be right for every website. A lack of elements can be harmful to websites that rely heavily on content. That’s because low information density will force your user to scroll excessively for the content that they need. Using functional minimalism correctly requires a careful evaluation of where this technique will be the most suitable.
Minimalism Can be Functional
A minimalist design isn’t just an aesthetic choice. The right aspects of minimalism can simplify interfaces on the web by eliminating unnecessary elements and reducing content that doesn’t support an end goal.
The key is to ensure that you’re focusing on a combination of aesthetics and usability when creating the right design. An easy-to-navigate and beautiful website can be a powerful tool for any business.

Top 8 PPC Trends in 2020
Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising is still as popular as SEO today because of its combined affordability and effectiveness. Its ability to generate leads makes it popular among many companies and, like other marketing strategies, it continues to evolve while becoming more user-friendly.
2018 saw a lot of changes in PPC, which continued throughout 2019, and we can only expect to see more changes in 2020 and the years ahead. Here are some of the top trends in PPC advertising in 2020 that will govern your approach to strategies.
1. Combination of A.I. and Automation
There’s a reason why companies such as Amazon and Google developed internet-reliant devices for home management, as this technology enabled companies to effectively capture and learn from data on consumer behavior. With this data, these companies could tailor ads and user experiences through automation based on user preferences learned from their actions.
A company like Google can utilize huge amounts of information to develop automation systems that can understand user behavior. Using combined automation and increasingly complex artificial intelligence, Google can give PPC advertisers access to specially-targeted audiences. This is in contrast to the days when businesses would waste money going after audiences that weren’t prepared to make a purchase.
There are still many developments that need to take place before A.I. and automation are perfected, but you will be able to leverage them in 2020 for a more optimized campaign.
2. More Ubiquitous Video Ads
Videos are among the most powerful marketing tools you can utilize in PPC today. They enable brands to convey a certain unique personality and tell their own story while connecting with their audiences. People have an easier time relating to a brand that’s truly made visible through video. People are also more likely to trust a product or service when demonstrated in a video presentation.
According to Forbes, the average user even spends 88 percent more time on a website with videos. While they’re far from new and often costly to produce, the potential returns when using video ads make them worth the expense and effort. As a result of its effectiveness, we’re likely to see video advertising to continue serving as one of the most effective PPC advertising methods, particularly as professional equipment and editing software become increasingly accessible to the average user.
In addition to popular video channels like YouTube, you can leverage Snapchat, Instagram, and LinkedIn to showcase video ads using native video advertising. You can also advertise via educational channels such as LinkedIn Learning and Udema, which tend to attract a lot of user engagement.
3. A Decrease in the Number of Organic Search Results
Chances are you don’t go beyond the first page in Google search results to find what you’re looking for. Typically, users will find what they need within the first three pages.
While this may not seem like an issue, Google and other search engines will begin to show a lower number of results and limit the number of webpages per user search.
The key to overcoming this challenge is to produce high-quality content that can rank highly while engaging users. To further help you, you’ll need to implement an effective paid advertising campaign.
4. Advanced Audience Segmentation
With audience segmentation, users will only see ads about specific products during a certain time through the grouping of users, based on their specific needs.
Google and other companies can access large amounts of data that allow them to provide users with extremely accurate results to avoid irrelevance. Thankfully, users can also access this data via Google’s ad platform. Using this tool, you can segment users based on a number of specifications, including demographics, geography, psychographics, and other specific behavioral attributes.
Through PPC ad campaigns, you can use segmentation to select a group of people or demographic who will be able to see your ads. As a result, users will see a relevant ad that encourages them to click-through and perform the desired action.
With more data, you can benefit from advanced segmentation, and in 2020 you will have even more options available to develop highly personalized ad campaigns.
5. Using a Multitude of Platforms for Advertising
When it comes to marketing, the wider the reach, the more customers you’ll ultimately attract. If you want to maximize your reach, you’ll want to make use of all of the platforms you can, including Google Ads, Instagram Ads, Amazon Ads, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Ads. Using all of these can help you reach the biggest number of people and give you more opportunities for conversion.
Many tend to think primarily of Google regarding advertising, but you can always turn to others like Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Amazon to complement your Google ad campaigns. You’ll find that each of these platforms exposes your business to a large audience and can prove invaluable to your marketing efforts.
Digital advertising has undergone numerous changes throughout the years, making it important to keep up with the latest industry trends, particularly when it comes to targeting mobile users. Users are more intelligent and impatient than they’ve ever been, as they know what they want and want it as soon as they can get it. To cater to users’ needs, you’ll do well to push relevant ads that are comprehensive and helpful.
Various studies have found that the average consumer will spend over five years of their life on social media platforms. Reaching these people with ads will entail learning which platforms your audience uses. Some might use Facebook or Twitter while others will be more focused on visual social media via Snapchat, Instagram, or Pinterest.
If you want to help people find you in a sea of businesses that sell what you sell, you’ll need to be able to help them with the decision-making process. You can do so by convincing them through relevant and unintrusive ads that you have the services or products they need.
6. More Reliance on Voice Search
Voice searches continue to be extremely popular among consumers and will only become more so in 2020 and beyond. This means that you need to target audiences using more conversational phrases that they’re likely to ask when using voice search via phones, desktops, or smart speakers.
With regard to PPC ads, voice searches will also influence which pages your ads show up on. This makes it necessary to develop ads that are adaptable to voice search.
Without considering voice search, you’ll miss out on a huge opportunity to reach users who might not find you via traditional search, including individuals with certain disabilities or those who are simply looking for a convenient search method.
7. The Use of Virtual Reality
Virtual reality continues to grow as an industry, with hardware and software such as the Oculus and Dell HTC Vive taking advantage of technology that allows users to explore another world.
While it’s not commonly used for advertising, these platforms are likely to emerge as more developments in VR tech take place. VR allows users to evaluate products or services, seeing what certain products look like from every angle in a specific location via full-scale 3D models using augmented reality, without the need to actually try the product out or purchase it.
This will revolutionize advertising and truly give users a chance to conveniently test products and determine what’s best for them in a fun and engaging way.
The Importance of Remarketing
Remarketing entails using a certain form of advertising on a service or product when a user visits a certain landing page or becomes familiar with your company, without making a purchase. For instance, you might look for a certain product on Amazon but neglect to buy it, in which case you may see ads from Amazon on other websites pushing that or another relevant product, reminding you of your interests and encouraging you to come back.
If you see a product repeatedly, the chances that you’ll purchase it will increase. As a result, remarketing continues to be an effective marketing method that’s inexpensive and efficient compared to other more traditional targeting options. Instead of targeting new users, you can focus more on drawing those who’ve already expressed interest in what you have to offer.
Revamp Your Marketing Efforts with These PPC Trends in 2020
To get the results you want from your online marketing efforts in 2020, take these trends into consideration when planning an effective PPC campaign, in addition to other digital marketing strategies. The more you work to take advantage of the latest technology and user behaviors in developing your campaigns, the more success you’re likely to experience, attracting more customers without exceeding your available marketing budget.

4 Fun Ways Instagram Gifs Help to Increase Sales & Engagement
Gifs have firmly placed themselves on our screens and as content marketing essentials for both B2C and B2B brands. We honestly can't get enough GIFs. They perfectly convey what we feel, would like to express, and love in just a few frames.
via GIPHY
Web Tech Survey found that around 22.7% of all websites have GIFs. They also found that Facebook ranked for the highest use of GIFs in the world, so we can ultimately assume that Instagram will follow suit joining the list of platforms dominated with GIFs as of 2020 and beyond.
GIF's are the perfect combination of video and images, mobile-friendly, but cheaper than video, not to mention there's an entire library of GIF you can tap into on Giphy and Tumblr.
After all, Instagram has incorporated GIFs as a long-standing Instagram Story feature. Don't forget that striking visuals are key players when it comes to building a compelling brand presence on Instagram. Brands have caught on to the wave of connecting with customers through engaging, relatable, and viral content, such as videos, memes, and now GIF's.
What smart marketers know is that GIFs can also help to increase sales and engagement. When used right or creating a GIF, you can tap into GIF culture's power on Instagram, whether it's in your feed or stories.
1. Use GIFs on Instagram as Call to Actions (CTAs)
Brands on Instagram are now using GIFs to highlight CTA's (call to actions), and why not?
How many of us have scrolled through our feed and tapped past hundreds of stories.
Humans overall have short attention spans, and we forget the most basic of things without the help of pretty colors and GIF highlighting actions we need to take, like (Swipe up!).
Instagram now offers thousands of CTA's you can add to stories to grab your viewer's attention. Whether it's a shop now tag, neon highlighted arrow, or new video button.
If you feel like diving deep into the business features Instagram Stories can provide check out Later's The Ultimate Guide to Instagram Stories for Business.
2. Use GIF's for Creatively Product Display on Instagram
GIFs aren't only for stories, and you can create your own GIFs and use them to spice up your content, give followers a new experience, or take on your brand's personality.
When it comes to Instagram content, it's sometimes easy to see the same old content, and if you're creating content, you can find yourself stuck in a rut. Instead, use GIFs in your Instagram feed to spice up your content and creatively display your products on Instagram.
GIFs are perfect for launching a new product or sales, so create something fancy that will stop your followers from scrolling past. For example, check out Oreo's Limited Edition Tiramisu OREO cookie GIF!

The key to creating GIFs with your products is to capture lifestyle and fun content that connects easily with customers. Balancing creativity and sales helps you to make the most out of it. Keep the sales pitch and details in the captions and let the GIF do all the razzle-dazzle. The best GIFs have little to no words, instead, they're focused on a product or action.
For example, Starbucks is a brand known to add a bit of GIF here and there showcasing new beverages. When they launched their new Iced Coconut Milk, they used a GIF to quickly display the two flavors available with their Ice Coconut Milk. Short, simple, and sweet (literally).

You can take things to the next level by combining GIFs and Memes (yes, that's a thing, you just haven't realized).
3. Increase Engagement on Instagram with GIF's
Engagement and followers are the two main currencies on Instagram. You either have it, or you don't. If you find that you need to boost engagement, then use GIFs to spark up a conversation with your audience.
The British Bake Off Uses GIF content to celebrate food holidays, quiz followers, and share the exciting news. Instead of using a static image, a GIF conveys far more information in a short amount of time than a regular video. In this example, they are asking followers to share their favorite cake day lyrics!

Here are some tips you can use to create engaging GIF content:
Ask your followers what they would choose (this or that)?
Ask questions to get feedback from your followers relating to your content, product, or services, or what they'd like to see on your Instagram page.
Create a pop quiz on your website and use a GIF post to promote it.
Create a GIF to highlight any online activities such as giveaways, going live, or uploading a new video.

When Covid-19 hit the US, food service providers had to find a new way to meet their customers halfway. Food delivery skyrocketed like never before because it seemed the only way people could safely consume food from their favorite brands. Krispy followed suit when they used GIF on Instagram to announce their Drive-Thru, Pickup & Delivery options for their Krispy Kreme lovers.

4 Types of Content You Should Publish and Promote in 2020
In 2020, there’s no longer any debate about the value of social media marketing. The only question is whether you’re going to be able to unlock that potential.
Effective social media marketing isn’t just about increasing your following on various platforms; it’s about attracting relevant audience members and getting them hooked on your content, as well as nurturing existing leads and customers for purchase readiness and improved lifetime customer value.
With 65.6% of marketers planning to increase their social media budgets in 2020, the space is getting ever more crowded. This demands that you put more effort into developing your own social media marketing strategy that’s optimized to support a holistic audience and customer acquisition strategy.
Social media isn’t a monolith – it has room for multiple content formats, from long text to short visuals, and vice versa too. As we enter 2020, a SocialMediaToday survey reveals that most marketers recognize the need for healthy diversity, responding that they intend to use several types of content to meet their goals.
As you work to develop and iterate on an effective social media strategy, you’ll want to ensure you have a mix of optimized owned media content in your arsenal. Aim for a balance between content that encourages people to click through and read, watch, or listen; content that gets shared; and content that guides people towards a purchase decision.
With these considerations in mind, we decided to dig deep into four types of content that you should be creating and distributing with social media posts this year.
1. Blog posts based on original research
Content based on original research is neither fast nor easy to create, but it does seem to be worth the effort. This type of content can increase web traffic and social media shares, as well as generating leads with the highest conversion rates.
People will also write their own content agreeing or disagreeing with the findings of your original research, and cite it in other studies and thought leadership pieces. As a result, 56% of marketers who have created this type of content reported that the outcome met or exceeded their expectations, despite the amount of work involved.
Content using original research can come in a number of forms, including infographics and other data visualizations. B2B buyers particularly appreciate infographics during the early stages of making a purchase, as this format helps to guide them towards the right factors for confident purchase decision-making. Infographics are the most highly shared type of content on social media.
However, longform blog posts, with the addition of your own conclusions and opinions alongside the data you gathered, might be the best way to present original research. As demonstrated by Orbit Media’s research, the longer the blog post, the better the results.
Long blog posts are highly valued in mid to late-stage decision making, with 74% of buyers saying that they often share articles, and 71% reporting that they consumed blog content during the purchase process, compared with 66% in the previous year. This makes it a good choice both for boosting shares, and for guiding potential customers towards a purchase decision.
However, when you turn your original research into long blog content, take steps to make it easily shareable, like using tweetable quotes, appealing images, and pulling out selected graphs and tables for one-click sharing. This way you can increase your social media reach and brand awareness, at the same time as raising conversion rates.
2. Podcasts
Over the last few years, we’ve witnessed a major spike in the use of podcasts as a marketing tool for both B2B and B2C buyers. This coincides with the recent rise of audiobooks and decline of ebooks, with Deloitte predicting that the global audiobook market will grow by 25% in 2020, and that audience demand for audiobooks will overtake audience demand for ebooks by 2023.
Indeed, podcasts are growing in popularity. In 2018, 44% of Americans reported that they’d listen to a podcast at some point in their lives, a rise of 40% from the previous year, and podcast listener numbers are expected to rise even further, to 132 million by 2022.
Podcasts give you the opportunity to go into a topic in more depth, since the average podcast listener consumes 80% or more of each episode. Approximately 64% of B2B buyers prefer podcasts for top of funnel content.
This is largely because given people’s fast-paced lifestyles, audio content is more accessible than the written word. Busy listeners can consume podcasts passively while commuting, doing housework, riding the subway, or exercising, which is a big plus for overstretched B2B buyers.
It takes time and commitment to build a new listener base from scratch, and it requires investing in a growing reservoir of authentic, valuable content, so podcasting is a long-term play that’s somewhat of a gamble. On the other hand, a brand podcast has huge potential as social media content that encourages clickthroughs and engagement. Tools like Podbean, which offers automated social posting of mini clips from your new episodes, can help as great deal in this regard.
3. Online courses
Online learning is continuing to rise in popularity, with the market predicted to be worth over $325 billion in annual revenues by 2025.
There are clear reasons behind the trend. Online courses are convenient, since you can learn without leaving your chair or while on the go. Employees are expected to advance their professional development and gather new skills, and attending conferences or participating in online video courses is a great way to accomplish this. Video courses have an obvious advantage over conferences, since they cost less, are more accessible, and can be consumed on demand.
Like podcasts, video courses allow you to go into more depth about pain points and factors that come into play when choosing between similar products. You can use them to demonstrate how to use your product, such as offering a video course in how to run triggered drip campaigns, for example, if you’re marketing a company that offers email automation software.
This makes online courses especially effective for mid-funnel stages, where customers are weighing up the benefits of multiple vendors, but courses are likewise great for establishing yourself as a thought leader and trusted educator in your niche. They can boost engagement and help you strengthen relationships with your existing customers, while also guiding potential buyers towards a purchase decision.
As a type of gated content, video courses are excellent for using as lead magnets. You can use a platform like Kajabi to create and market your course. This platform comes with a powerful landing page builder and templates for many types of courses that make it easy to simply plug in your content and launch.
To take our course’s potential for social media impact even higher, you can use social gating, which is when your content remains locked away until someone shares the link on their social media feed, helping you get more social shares.
4. Video series
Video is the most popular form of content, making a video series an excellent way to encourage shares and extend social media reach, as well as boosting engagement. Around 91% of connected media consumers have watched a video in the last month, and 40% of marketers say they will focus on video content this year.
Because you’re sharing installments in a series, people will want to tune in again for the next episode, just like they do with The Crown. Short, engaging episodes like KlientBoost’s Inside KlientBoost videos offer viewers a peek behind the scenes at the company and encouraging people to share clips. The insider view into the workings of Klientboost help encourage potential customers to trust them, eventually guiding qualified audience members towards a purchase decision.
As you can see in these charts from Social Blade, KlientBoosts’s YouTube audience continues to grow in size and engagement.
Longer video series can give value by sharing in-depth advice, rather like a podcast, only with visual production value. For example, Wistia uses interview-style videos in their Brandwagon series to dig deeper into specific brand marketing issues and tactics. Tradeoffs by Patrick Campbell and Hiten Shah follows a similar talk show format, with SaaS product marketing insights and data.
Both of these video series are designed to boost trust and niche interest audience loyalty, but without any pushy sales copy, and in a highly share-worthy format.
Maximize the impact of your social media campaigns with the right content
Social media offers you a whole range of ways to use content to connect with customers. Whether you aim to increase social media shares with original research, boost engagement through podcasts, online courses, and other content that is clicked on and consumed, or guide people to make purchase decisions with video series, longform blog posts, and online courses, you can use these content types to keep on powering your social media marketing campaigns into 2020 and beyond.

The need for speed in search: 5 speed types to master now
Google has long been secretive about the nuts and bolts of its search ranking algorithms, but we do know for a fact that page speed is a factor. In its “How Search Works” resource, Google flat out states that, “We develop algorithms to promote more usable pages over less usable ones, all other things being equal. These algorithms analyze signals that indicate whether all our users are able to view the result, like… whether the page loading times work well for users with slow Internet connections.”
Consumers with lightning-fast connection speeds are growing impatient with slow sites, too – particularly those on mobile. When Google last analyzed mobile landing page load times in 2018, the average time it took to fully load one had dropped by seven seconds. However, it still took about 15 seconds, which is far too slow. Considering that 53% of mobile site visitors leave a page that takes longer than three seconds to load, marketers still have a long way to go.
When customers are searching for products and services like yours, it’s critical that you’re positioned to appear prominently with accurate, engaging, quickly accessible information to convert them. You don’t want to miss out on optimizing for these five important types of speed.
1. Site and page speed
Whether they’re actually buying online or trying to find information about one of your local stores, today’s constantly connected consumer demands a seamless—and speedy—shopping experience. In fact, 79% of shoppers who are dissatisfied with site performance say they’re less likely to purchase from the same site again.
Marketers and web designers need to take care not to clutter pages with slow-loading elements that bog download times and frustrate users. In a recent study, Google found that “as page load time goes from one second to 10 seconds, the probability of a mobile site visitor bouncing increases 123%. Similarly, as the number of elements—text, titles, images—on a page goes from 400 to 6,000, the probability of conversion drops 95%.”
The impact of slow site and page speed can be devastating, as the hard-won visitors it cost you scarce marketing dollars to attract ultimately leave your site disappointed.
Take care to compress images and text. According to Google, 25% of pages could save more than 250KB and 10% can save more than 1MB that way. Pay special attention to elements above the fold. Here’s what Google recommends as best practice for speeding up your webpages (and remember, over half of traffic is now mobile, so these are best practices for all sites):
Mobile pages that display content to users in 3 seconds or less
Under 1.3 seconds average time to first byte
Fewer than 50 pieces of content needed to display an entire mobile web page
Less than 500KB total page weight
2. Mobile-specific speed
According to research from e-marketer, the average US adult will spend more time engaging with their mobile devices than watching TV in 2019. This is something not to be complacent about. In an effort to combat widespread slow mobile page speeds, Google-backed AMP launched in October 2015 with a handful of technology company partners. Google’s Accelerated Mobile Pages initiative is an accessible, open-source framework for creating fast-loading pages for mobile users. On Feb. 24, 2016, Google officially integrated AMP listings into its mobile search results and today, you’ll find AMP on over 25 million domains.
AMP can help you achieve the best practices we discussed in the previous section. It reduces the weight of HTML pages through superior code hygiene and AMP markup that delivers a separate version of a page optimized for fast delivery on mobile. Google hosts AMP files on its own content delivery network (CDN), so content behaves as if it’s loading from the browser cache rather than a remote server.
AMP isn’t for everyone, and you may not need it across your entire site. Still, it’s worth checking out if you want to provide a better experience for your mobile visitors. Page speed for retailers can be just as important as price.
3. Content that quickly answers a need
Here, we aren’t talking about how fast your content loads, but how quickly your content fulfills a consumer need. In a word, we’re talking about relevance.
CX consulting firm Walker predicts that customer experience will overtake price and product quality as the key brand differentiator by 2020. How can you deliver exceptional experiences without content to meet the unique needs of customers at various stages of their journey?
According to the Think with Google blog, the vast majority of marketers agree that to be successful they must improve their understanding of user journeys across multiple channels and different device. Search intent analysis should be an integral part of your content creation process. Dig into first- and third-party data to discover your customers’ pain points, needs, wants and triggers. The right technology partner can help here, as the amount of data we have to contend with grows exponentially with each new interaction.
It’s important that you create the right content formats, as well. Search is becoming increasingly more visual as consumers look for different ways and experiences to find the products they want.
Google is reflecting this consumer preference back in mobile search results, which display far more image thumbnails than they used to. Recently, Google announced that it’s making visual content more useful in search by “helping people better find information visually and making it easier to pursue the things people come to Google Images for help with.”
Marketers need to help the search engine understand what each image is about and how it relates to a specific query by optimizing image labels, data, tags and descriptors. Choose images with special attention to quality, load speed, viewability, context, authenticity and the general visual appeal of the image. Be cognizant of image placement.
Watch where you place images on the page, as well. Back in the fall, I shared the following statement from Google: “We now prioritize sites where the image is central to the page, and higher up on the page.”
4. Data ready for activation
The data struggle is real. All of the reports, insights, trends and analysis in the world are useless if you’re unable to quickly activate your data and use it to drive business results.
Brands are turning to AI in greater numbers to power automated data analysis, communications including email and chatbots, research and information aggregation, operational and efficiency analysis, predictive analytics and more. Last year, I spoke at SMX London about how you can use AI to supercharge your SEO through insights, automation and personalization.
It’s important that you recognize the ways that Google is using AI, as well. At last count, there were 37 different search engine result page (SERP) categories. Google is using AI to better understand the intent behind each searcher’s query, then bringing back different types and formats of results to try to meet their needs.
As searchers try out different queries and search more often to compare solutions, the number one Google result still gets 28 percent of the clicks (positions two and three get 13 percent and 9 percent, respectively).
As a marketer, you need to do your part to show Google how your content relates to various types of queries. Structured data allows you to describe your content in a language Google understands. Make sure you mark up all text, videos and images, and follow best practices for image search optimization to ensure maximum visibility.
Aside from the data you’re feeding into Google, you need to get in position to move faster from analysis to optimization. In fact, a lot of consumers now expect personalization in real-time. Which brings us to…
5. Real-time optimization
Search practitioners can use up to six tools and spend up to four hours a day, on average, on research, reporting and analysis. You simply can’t compete on this level against AI-powered machines and heightened consumer expectations.
Just a few years ago, automated data analysis was revolutionary. Today, you need to be able to not only glean insights from your data but to then use that intelligence to optimize in real-time. Keyword research, opportunity forecasting, content recommendations and optimizations, site monitoring, website traffic reporting, search volume and rankings monitoring and more can all benefit from smarter automation that powers data-driven optimization. 10Clouds’ Marketing Strategies Reverse Engineered
When you initially think about B2B marketing strategies, your mind might go straight to outbound techniques. While this approach can still work, we’ve now entered an era of inbound and conversational marketing.
The B2B buying process is no longer cold or painful for the buyer. The fix lays in making interactions feel personal again.
Is 10Clouds going with the flow?
This is what we’re trying to find out in our analysis. We’ll dive into content marketing, we’ll analyze the branding efforts and how 10CLouds is building its social media presence…
Then we’ll give you hands-on takeaways to implement ASAP.
So, on your mark, get ready, set, go!
Brand Awareness at 10Clouds
Smart technology, robots, artificial intelligence, machine learning: sci-fi is here. And it has dramatically changed marketing.
But with great opportunity comes great responsibility in the B2B world. Brand loyalty is less and less common, competition is fierce, and brand awareness is more important than ever. And if you do get to the top, can you stay there long?
So, where does 10Clouds stand in the brand awareness game?
10Clouds’s Awards
Advertising is everywhere around us, offline, online, there’s a flood out there. Every business has a difficult time getting a signal through the noise. So, when everyone says that its product is best in class, how can you effectively differentiate your brand?
Awards - still effective today. While anyone can send email, engage in social media or pay per click campaigns, awards are limited. In the software development industry, the Clutch nominations still have some power.
So, which are the 10Clouds awards so far?
4th place in Top Polish Web Developers - septemrber 2019 (Clutch)
13th place in Top Worldwide IT Outsourcing Companies - 2017 (Clutch)
Ranking 48 in Deloitte’s Tech Fast 50 CEE - 2017
Ranking 480 in Financial Times’ Fast 1000 Europe 2018, with revenue growth of 333% during 2013-2016.
8th place in Top 50 Blockchain Companies by The Manifest
10Clouds’ Social Media Presence
As I’ve mentioned above, social media can be a really powerful tool in employer branding.
On the other hand, it can also be leveraged for nurturing relationships with clients and prospects.
Let’s see how 10Clouds is approaching the matter.
Facebook
5600+ Facebook followers are updated about the latest articles on the 10Clouds blog, about the latest additions to the Behance and Dribbble portfolio, latest products they’ve built.
The content posted on Facebook is mostly aimed at gaining more customers.
But the employer branding is not left out. Photo albums posted on Facebook try to paint a cool picture of the company’s culture.
The Facebook interaction is way above the average (which is around 13-15).
There is no pattern for the posts that get highest engagement. The trend we’ve noticed so far is that usually people related posts are more appealing, but this is not the case.
Instagram
Unlike the case of other players in the industry, the Instagram account is the channel where 10Clouds is trying to showcase the apps and other products they’ve built.
Also, whenever it’s time to celebrate something, the Instagram followers are immediately updated: getting to 125 employees, reaching 30k Dribbble followers etc.
Job opportunities are also promoted.
Older posts were more employer branding - oriented.
Twitter
The Twitter profile promotes mostly events they attend or organize.
The focus here is mostly about getting noticed by potential clients and proving that they are an important member of the community.
Blog posts and Medium content are also promoted.
Next, why not celebrate with your Twitter followers important moments of your business?
See this tweet, where 10Clouds is proud of winning a bronze medal in an AI contest.
LinkedIn
The LinkedIn account is all about building brand awareness among future clients, through:
showcasing the latest apps they’ve built and partnerships they've forged
Promoting events they attend
Career opportunities are also listed.
Behance
10Clouds is using Behance to showcase its portfolio. And the feedback it gets is looking really good. Lots of followers and appreciations, way above we’ve analyzed so far.
They have tens of comments, views can go up to 50k. Impressive!
Dribbble
Good design is a make it or break it decision-making factor if you are in the product design niche.
So, gathering feedback from the community, showcasing your portfolio is essential.
Dribbble is the channel allowing you to do just that.
And 10Clouds seems to understand this and built a great Dribbble profile, where engagement looks amazing.
Community Building at 10Clouds
10Clouds organizes a popular meetup for developers under the Acodemy brand.
For design lovers they organize Louds meetup.
Let’s not forget also conferences, like the Blockchain Fiesta in Krakow, where the 10Clouds Blockchain Lead had a presentation.
10Clouds also sponsors meetups, Warsaw.JS and Python meetups around Warsaw.
Pretty busy guys, I’d say.
Employer Branding and Hiring
Today, company culture and branding have a higher value than ever. Especially when you compete in hiring the right tech talent.
In the digital age, where the border between work and life is really thin, where social media can lift a brand up or knock it out, building an employer brand is vital.
When you hire the talent you need, you manage to retain it, then you can focus more on delivering quality products/services to clients and grow. Else, if employees come and go, it’s gonna be really tough and it’s gonna cost you a lot.
Communication, feedback, relationship with management, learning initiatives, employee perks, recognition - these are elementary when hiring and retaining the proper talent.
So, how does the process look like for 10Clouds?
Here’s an article they wrote in order to explain the 10Clouds developers hiring process.
Employees are asked about how the hiring process worked, what attracted them to 10Clouds in the first place, and how does 10Clouds look like a year after. They praise the learning environment, career opportunities.
Social media, video content are tools used in building employer branding.
Take this video for example, about how it feels being a 10Clouds developer.
youtube
Being a developer at 10Clouds
10Clouds is looking to expand the developer and designer teams in all cities or remote.
10Clouds is looking to expand the developer and designer teams in all cities or remote.
10Clouds’s Website and Conversion Rate Optimization
According to Krug’s first law of usability “Don’t make me think”, the 10Clouds homepage is self-explanatory. The structure is clear, the visual clues are moderate, the links are easily recognizable and help users to find their path to their aim.
The layout is scannable: content is categorized, visual elements are guiding the visitor to the Call to Action, content blocks are flowing nicely. The phrases and wording are concise.
But is this enough to turn a visitor into a customer? These days, potential buyers are looking for one more thing before making a commitment to spend money on you - social proof.
Social proof refers to people’s reliance on the feedback and actions of others so that they can make an informed choice.
Testimonials, awards, case studies, reviews, the number of followers/likes/fans in social media, all of these should be leveraged in order to build trust in the eyes of stakeholders.
In the case of 10Clouds’ website we’ve got:
Growth KPIs
Case studies
Testimonials
List of clients
PR mentions
Awards
In order to further move a visitor down the funnel, forms and chat are used.
In terms of conversion rate tools, according to Similartech, 10Clouds is using Hotjar for heatmaps and session recordings, and Autopilot, for marketing automation.
So 10Clouds wants to empower its sales team with better-qualified leads, it wants to improve the users’ path on the website and provide a better experience across the buyer journey, hence increasing ROI.
Traffic Acquisition at 10Clouds
More than 95% of the desktop website traffic comes from direct and search sources (according to Semrush).
In terms of direct traffic, I’m assuming the 15% is due to:
Community events (meetups, conferences) where they promote their website
No UTM tracking added to their links
Sales activities: cold sales emails, events networking
The search traffic began ramping up this summer. We’ll get into more detail below.
Content Marketing
As you already know by now, we like the RACE framework when it comes to digital marketing planning.
REACH
At this step we’ll focus on which are the touchpoints where people first become aware of 10Clouds. We’ve already talked about building brand awareness and social media above, but now we’ll go deeper and analyze the blog strategy and other types of content.
The blog is updated about monthly, and the topics covered relate to company news, software development, business development.
The technical content is written by developers, which is no news for us. It’s a common practice in the industry.
According to Buzzsumo the most shared content on Facebook is the technical blog content and career-opportunities announcements.
As we already know by now, good quality content is not enough for organic ranking. So, let’s take a look at the backlinks a bit.
We’ve got backlinks from relevant tech websites (Clutch, The Manifest, python.org) with high authority, as well as links from hiring & freelancing platforms (millo.co, workable.com, startupjpbs.pl).
From the SEO perspective, the most valuable backlinks are do-follow, topic relevant as well as from a high authority website.
For 10Clouds, 66% of the backlinks are do-follow.
Now, let’s move on from the website blog, to the Medium blog.
On Medium, 10Clouds develops content around design, development, UI & UX topics.
One of the biggest benefits of blogging on Medium is the fact that Medium has a built-in distribution channel reaching 60M+ unique monthly visitors (2017, Medium data).
And if you’re analyzing the most popular Medium content you’ll see that tech is by far the one with the most traction.
So, for a tech company it’s only natural to be where its audience is: Medium.
For 10Clouds, it seems that the Medium strategy is paying off in terms of engagement.
Now, let’s move to a bit more advanced types of content, that bring more added value: case studies.
In a B2B world, where the value of the product is measured in tens of thousands of dollars, case studies are a must.
A pro tip we always give our clients is to include data in their case studies, what were the practical achievements, some KPIs?
10Clouds knows how to prove they do a good job:
ACT
Ok, we’ve got traffic, what now? How do we make them move further down in the funnel? How can we turn them into leads?
For the lead generation part, 10Clouds uses an Ebook as lead magnet.
Also, they provide a free consultation together with a bold promise: “We’ll build your MVP in 40 days”.
I’m really curious if this is having traction.
The content marketing strategy is still in its infancy at 10Clouds, but it's showing results.
Wrap Up
Now that we’ve come so far, let ’s do the shortlist of takeaways. So, 10Clouds is really good at:
Mastering technical knowledge and project management
Building a brand - using the power of video testimonials, community, awards
Building a community around the company, be it offline (through meetups and other events they organize or sponsor), be it online (Dribbble, Behance)
So, another one busts the dust.
But, more companies are waiting in line to be analyzed.

Social Media Trends
Social media has had a turbulent year to say the least. Many social giants, Facebook in particular, has been criticized for issues ranging from data privacy to manipulative content. This year, Facebook users learned that the social network had compromised their privacy by allowing access to the personal information of millions of people to a political analytics firm. The data privacy issue put into sharp focus the magnitude of power these companies have over user data. Many people for the first time acknowledged the extent at which bad actors can exploit and disrupt government elections, broadcast viral propaganda and spread messages of hate across the globe. As the scandals mounted, both the public and the government were left questioning just how much power social networks (should) have and how much responsibility we all have to each other. Despite this backlash, social media continues to be a pervasive part of most Americans’ lives. According to a recent report, social media and messaging apps accounts for roughly 1 in every 3 minutes people spend on the internet and Facebook remains the primary platform for most Americans. Approximately two-thirds of U.S. adults (68%) report that they are Facebook users, and nearly three-quarters (75%) of those users access Facebook on a daily basis. Among younger generations, video and photo sharing sites are even more popular as an astounding 94 percent of 18- to 24-year-olds regularly use YouTube. The negative aspects of social media are hard to ignore, but on the flipside, what about the positive impact of social? Social media networks give users an opportunity to connect with others personally and professionally across the globe, catalogue and share life’s important moments, mobilize and fundraise for important causes and simply be entertained. Businesses have an opportunity to engage and service their customers more efficiently in an increasingly connected and digital world. So, what does 2019 hold for social media? How will user behaviour change in light of these issues and opportunities? Here are my social media predictions for 2019: 2019: The Rise of Dark Social for Consumers and Brands
Dark social, despite sounding ominous, means sharing content that occurs outside of what can be measured by traditional web analytics. It can also mean an online community where identity takes a backseat to free, anonymous content sharing. In this political and social climate, I predict an emergence of dark social in terms of how people share content and how brands look to monetize what content is shared in private spaces. People still want to be social online, but they don’t necessarily want these interactions to occur under the gaze of the entire world. Social networks have become a place for people to share carefully crafted snippets of their life with friends, family and strangers who view their public profiles. The historical record that many social networks leave behind has led to widespread self-censorship. People are reluctant to post content for fear that it will be dredged up months or even years later. In my view, the context gap is one of the driving forces behind the emergence of dark social. The context gap is where identity and permanence take a backseat to content. In their daily lives, people often interact with different groups. The things you might talk about with your family around the dinner table are often a far cry from the conversations you have with friends during a pub crawl. Context collapse is what happens when these different groups collide in one place — usually weddings or social media. If you share something online, everyone you know is able to see it. This often leads to a chilling effect where people find there isn’t much they want to share with everyone. Dark social just may be the answer. Dark social accomplishes two goals for users: addresses a desire to project a particular image and gives people an opportunity to avoid damaging material in a social sharing economy that is anything but open and transparent. One of the ways people avoid leaving behind a trail of (potentially) embarrassing uploads is by favoring networks with disappearing content like Snapchat and Instagram stories. The disappearing nature of Snapchat’s content is especially appealing to younger generations, with 78 percent of 18- to 24-year-olds using the platform. On the app, people can share content they find funny, interesting or important without having it associated with them forever. For brands, marketing on traditional platforms like Facebook, while highly effective at scale, requires brands to flatten people into pre-established buckets. Dark-social spaces, on the other hand, function more as focus groups. They provide an honest, inside view into what tastemakers and potential customers are thinking and sharing. Dark social is about understanding overall traffic and consumer sentiment. From there, brands can get a bit more granular by applying basic demographic information to these platforms. Knowing this information can help marketers make better sense of the trends and conversations they observe in these spaces. Combine that insight with a smart understanding of what different groups that have gathered tend to discuss, and there’s a new entry point for understanding how to market products and services. Visual Communications Continues and Evolves From text posts to infographics, from pictures to the explosion of online video, and back to short, digestible content like gifs and memes, I predict that the visual culture on social media will continue to shape shift. Our ability to communicate through visual language and the creativity we experiment with in this medium will continue to evolve. The next iteration to go mainstream could be AI-driven gifs or once 5G comes into play, the ability to post high definition selfies or stream 4K live video on social. Whatever form this communication takes, it will be designed to interact with audiences at increasingly quick speeds. Social Media and the Generational Divide
In 2019, it is estimated that there will be around 2.77 billion social network users around the globe, up from 2.46 billion in 2017. That 2.77 billion users is now made up of four generations: Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials and Generation Z. All four cohorts have different user behavior, social channel preferences and varying tech experience. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snap are all important social experiences offering unique ways for connecting people. Facebook will continue to dominate by sheer number of users, but I predict that people will fragment even further and organize by age group. Younger people in the Gen Z group in particular will engage, not only where their peers are, but on the channels that offer authentic, new ways to express themselves and connect with others online. Rise of Stress Free Social With so much of traditional social media tied to identity and personal branding, a “comparison” culture has emerged where people feel the need to measure their lives against what other people are posting. Compounded by the social media drama of 2018, people are welcoming “stress free social” where authenticity and content is entertaining, interesting and real. Posting authentic content anonymously where its free from judgment or trolling will rise in popularity. As users attention spans continue to shrink, I predict disappearing content like Instagram Stories and Snapchat to sharply increase in popularity. The events of were dizzying 2018 when it came to social media, but 2019 marks an interesting turning point. We’ll continue to create new social media sharing experiences and probably pay closer attention about how our data is used and take greater responsibility for the content we share. As we continue into 2019, “getting back to basics” is the best way to characterize this year. Read the full article

How Technology is Redefining Ecommerce for Online Brands
Ecommerce brands are taking notice of how technology is redefining and shaping the world of online sales, find out how technology is redefining ecommerce.
So, How is Technology is Redefining Ecommerce?
The mountain must come to Mohammad.
With the rapid and progressive evolution of the technological landscape, ecommerce is becoming not just buyer friendly but also enabling brands to sell better and higher through their ecommerce web stores.
A publication by eshopworld suggests that the United State of America has a population of 323.13 million people, of whom, 203.96 million people are ecommerce users currently and another 26.09 million users are expected to be added by the year 2021. The fact is that technology is augmenting the growth of ecommerce like never before, both for the buyer as well as brands.

What are the technologies that are redefining ecommerce?
The question begs an answer.
Let’s take a look at the top technologies behind the exponential growth of ecommerce.
1. Ecommerce Website Design and Development
First, driving the growth of ecommerce is the availability of great ecommerce website design and development services that by implicit business logic is the most crucial determinant of customer experience.
A KPMG report titled “Global Retail Trends 2018” cites the case study of UltaButy that achieved a 14.3 % increase in the year 2017 owing to its technology strategy to simplify ecommerce website design from the perspective of the end user.
While there are many ecommerce website development companies that offer services at reasonable prices, there are some truly stand out ecommerce software development companies that are embracing a value based model.
The software development company Code Inspiration for example, offers value based custom software development services incorporating latest features like the hamburger menu, responsive web design, grid and ecommerce messenger apps that allows ecommerce start up firms, new market entrants and small businesses to get a truly user friendly ecommerce website.
2. Mobile Applications Development
Second, you wouldn’t think of technology and personalization necessarily going hand in hand, but you’d be wrong.
Retail giant Target saw a 200% increase in sales via mobile app last Black Friday. Amazon and Walmart amassed a huge amount of revenue by starting their Black Friday deals early via their mobile apps.
Technology is enabling ecommerce businesses to deliver a much more personalized shopping experience. Ecommerce mobile app development allows businesses to collate insights on diverse parameters of their users. Ecommerce mobile apps development also allows users to experience a more intuitive and seamless process through one-click search, shopping and payment.
An Adobe publication titled “2018 Digital Trends in Retail” asserts the rise of the “phygital” concept- an integration of physical and digital environments, while citing the example of Lowe’s in the United States that allows users to explore physical inventories of merchandise at their nearest retail outlets.
Driving this change are some ecommerce mobile applications development companies that offer state of the art technology services to some of the fastest growing ecommerce brands across the world.
3. Ecommerce SEO
Third, with the flurry of ecommerce brands all around, competition for ranking websites on diverse keywords has increased for sure. Given the vast plethora of close substitute products that are available across almost every category, ecommerce brands leaning on the latest ecommerce SEO techniques to rank their offerings on top of the ecommerce search page results.
We’ve grown so accustom to SEO terminology or even ‘hands on effort’ with SEO implementation that we forget it’s technology driven. With that comes great tech to help you perfect your Ecommerce SEO.
Software such as MOZ and SEMRush will help you diagnose technical on-page issues as well as provide you with;
• backlink ideas
• user experience ideas
• technical SEO recommendations
• Content ideas
• Isolate keyword searches
There are some highly customer centric ecommerce SEO services companies enabling ecommerce brands to stay ahead of the pack in their respective product groups and industry verticals. Thanks to digital marketing agencies like Mageworx, and Pixel Productions, ecommerce SEO, social media optimization and PPC services are now affordable and value based.
4. Voice Shopping
Fourth in our list of technologies that are driving the ecommerce boom across geographies and industry verticals is the advent of voice assistants.
Voice shopping enables ecommerce brands to take online buying to the next level and makes it completely seamless. Voice shopping also makes ecommerce more socially inclusive and diverse by allowing visually disabled people to enjoy the benefits of technology. Beyond the obvious benefit of making ecommerce even more user friendly, it also allows ecommerce brands to get searched more easily.
Voice shopping technology has taken the ecommerce domain by a storm ever since Google Home and Google Assistant disrupted conventional search technology. Closing the gap is Alexa, the voice assistant from Amazon.
As ecommerce brands race to make online shopping even less time consuming, effortless and hassle free, voice shopping technology is here to stay and bid its time in creating the future of ecommerce.
5. Chatbots
Fifth, adding to the ease of doing business for ecommerce brands and making online shopping even more fun, conversational and guided is the advent of chatbots for commerce.
Chatbots are replacing the old and traditional customer care department at ecommerce companies, allowing them to make the process of buying online even more automated, picture perfect and personalized for buyers.
What Can Chatbots help you do?
1. Help shoppers find the perfect product
2. Answer customer questions
3. Boost store sales
4. Collect customer feedback
5. Send personalized emails
6. Schedule appointments
Take these examples for instance:
Staples offers Facebook chatbots to ecommerce brands that allow users to receive product suggestions on the basis of their buying history, tastes and preferences.
In other words, the chatbot actually helps users make guided choices and navigates them towards products that are more likely to cater to their requirements. Driven by powerful technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning, chatbots are probably reshaping the contours of ecommerce like never before.
If reports from A Better Lemon Stand are to be believed,
1 in 5 customers like purchasing products using chatbots, 40% of the buyers prefer to be informed about offers and best deals by chatbots and are willing to spend more than USD 400 through chatbots.
6. Augmented Reality
The market for augmented reality is expected to touch USD 120 billion by the year 2020.
Ever since Pokemon Go took users by a storm, augmented reality has witnessed a greater interest from some of the biggest tech companies in the world and it is sure to transform ecommerce in the coming years.
Magic Leap has received an investment of USD 800 million from Google already.
The acquisitions of Metaio by Apple and Oculus by Facebook also indicate market consolidation. Alibaba, the Chinese ecommerce giant has also announced its foray into augmented reality for ecommerce.
What makes augmented reality such a lucrative proposition for ecommerce brands and blue chip tech corporations?
A publication by Ecomdash reports that;
63%customers believe that augmented reality can make their shopping experience better
another 35% opine that they shall shop more frequently if driven by augmented reality
and finally 22% say that they shall lean lesser on conventional brick and mortar stores if ecommerce is enabled by augmented reality.
Given the rapid pace at which the world of digital technology is moving ahead, ecommerce is getting smarter. In the years to come technology shall be seen not just as an enabler of user friendliness, but also a ‘cost reducer’ by providing shorter turnaround times, making supply chains more efficient and improving margins for ecommerce brands.

Working as a Jr. Electronic Marketing Specialist with Circa Online, she has gained experience within SEO and higher education articles marketing while cultivating her innovative skills. It's important to keep an eye on the key SEO trends for 2018 from a marketers point of view. Above mentioned Most recent SEO trends for your upcoming season, 2018 will be effective plus our company consists of the particular professional team who helps their own client to grow its on-line presence considering these SEO ideas and tricks. In previous years, SEO recommendations involved only adding keywords regarding better ranking but in this particular current year, SEO is getting more complicated. If a person are in SEO for very some time, you definitely keep in mind the golden rule: don't overdo with redirects — they are usually a PageRank leak. Within the search industry, there are a number of SEO trends that manifested itself at the start of this year and continue. Google did not impact web pages so much right after updates, quickly but they gather data all the time therefore they are testing their methods then it effects all web directories in seo. Latching on in order to SEO trends and techniques rapidly puts you at an advantage, so start now by optimising a few of your articles for voice search. A prosperous SEO effort needs to shift beyond building content to position on highly searched keywords plus should possess a heavy concentrate on providing answers for types of unique queries that a lot of people might search simply by voice. The particular digital marketing landscape is continuously changing, and SEO is less likely to be the exception within 2018. Even as we all know it, Search engines has always been mysterious regarding revealing a clear list associated with the ranking factors, so SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION managers need to be inquisitive, cogitative, and sharp-witted to discover the right solutions and create their strategies successful. Lower-quality content can severely impact the accomplishments of SEO, in 2018. These types of factors may involve site content material strategy and its user relevance, SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION optimization, length of time considering that online presence was established and even more. In the next yr, we are going to see the focus will be upon mobile SEO, featured snippets, tone of voice search optimization, content marketing, interpersonal media, user experience, and AI and machine learning. The online marketing arena getting an open space for all those offers even the small-sized businesses using a fair chance to make make use of of the SEO practices plus generate income from organic potential clients in the digital space. So, let us find out there what new SEO trends within 2018 is likely to tag history. The particular team of SEO experts within Digital Marketers India is properly trained and experienced in marketing various industry verticals. Based on the particular survey, 77% of our clients voted for user experience since the main SEO trend intended for 2018. Google offers the free web service called Search engines Search Console which allows a person to analyse your website's information, and gives you a indication of how you can optimize your website to be capable to increase visibility and SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION. The Search Console will assist you to evaluate your keyword rankings, CTRs, feasible Google penalties and many some other useful data for technical SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION. Using wider keywords is crucial for your own SEO plan, and improves your own ranking in search results. Today, as u got to understand about the strategic SEO Styles of 2018, make sure a person have the best team or even maybe the best service company to work on them having a striking marketing strategy. It downloads the competition's most profitable keywords across both paid and organic search, giving you previously unthinkable regarding your rivals' SEO and content marketing strategies. One of the trends I actually expect to see in 2018, that will have a substantial impact on all facets associated with SEO, is the increasing part of artificial intelligence. SEO will promptly include many methods from content, link acquisition, UX plus endpoint delivery like fast launching pages through AMP Google Quicker Mobile Pages. Mimvi SEO will be your online business growth companion. Visual search is usually another growing part of SEO that will combines technological innovation and UX. As the internet becoming even more visually focused, so does the particular development of powerful correlating lookup engines. Now SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION trends 2018 have to match with limited real-estate, preliminary cable connections in addition to all these people already deal with. The shift toward long-tail keywords will be even more necessary to SEO success in 2018. I firstly read your own SEO strategy: #1 Ranking Along with Guestographics, I really liked therefore. And when you tailor your own on-page SEO around the ideal keywords, you'll watch your web site rocket to the top associated with Google — landing you even more traffic, leads, sales along the particular way. Analyze the top 3 search results with any keywords density tool or Chrome extension, like SEOquake This is enough to form a list of relevant keywords and synonyms. Regarding businesses looking to raise their own search engine rankings, it shows that a comprehensive social press strategy might be in purchase - in addition to almost all the usual SEO tactics. This used to be the bigger factor in SEO, however it still provides a high quality user experience when done nicely, increasing actions.
This particular on page seo guide will be really helpful to rank within first page of google. Several consumers and small businesses in this point have hired SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION companies in the past that will hurt them with bad back-links and more. Since many marketing is today digital, SEO includes a correct seat at the table create as a lead organic visitors driver contributing to end company goals. On-Page SEO through strategic keyword marketing in meta tags and articles. Nevertheless, in 2018, with the latest updates associated with Google and the evolution associated with technology, refining the rankings is definitely unquestionably possible by embracing tone of voice search, mobile optimization, featured thoughts, user experience, machine learning plus artificial intelligence, Google Quick Response Box, long-tail keywords, and visible search in your SEO methods. Effective SEO aims to boost search engine position, user trips, return visits, and to enhance conversion rates, which reflect the particular amounts of visitors who consider desired actions on the web site. Google, Bing, plus Yahoo have been the well-known search engines that were recommended to make SEO decisions simply by professionals. Very first, you need to understand just how local SEO differs from normal SEO for businesses that depend on customers from all more than the world. Long tail keywords may be very profitable to your own SEO strategy and narrow lower on the needs of particular customers by using descriptive lengthy tail keywords which can end up being very useful to boost traffic. One of the particular most important parts of the particular SEO is creating unique with ease with proper keywords. I predict the particular biggest SEO trend in 2018 will be companies and people diving into video as the particular written content space gets even more competitive. But there are usually some affordable SEO trends that you might use in 2018 to position your page in Google. Another more modern post is simply titled How to Write for SEO” Advice includes writing from a customer's perspective, forgetting concerning the hoary idea of keyword density, creating supplemental content for your site and much more. There have got been not-so-silent rumblings within the particular SEO industry about Google lastly deploying their mobile first catalog in 2018. While understanding and conquering the newest and more technical aspects associated with Google's internet search engine can be key in the potential future, SEO's also needs to create marketing applications that reach customers directly. You are able in order to either use the Link Study SEO Toolbar to check the particular LRT PowerTrust of a web page or domain you can furthermore use the LinkResearchTools Toolkit in order to evaluate more link building possibilities at once. SEO plays a role within all areas of advertising, advertising, design, optimization, video, content, cellular and e-commerce, for without SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION all is untuned in want of synchronization, like an band of musicians without an skilled conductor. With quality content that will benefits the user as the focal point in Google's rank algorithm, it is imperative in order to also make that the concern of the SEO when generating content. Local SEO can be the bit technical to some individuals. You are already aware great content ranks higher on record of SEO. I actually no longer think you need to alter much of your local SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION optimization for local search. When deciding exactly what search topics to focus on and just how best to focus your SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION efforts, treating keyword querying as an investigative tool is where you will likely have the best results. To understand how SEO works to improve search engine rankings, we'll need to break it down a little. Many of the SEO methods we've been using for many years are still worth our marketing and advertising dollars — blogging, social press, and inbound marketing — by way of example. For years, links have got been the trust signal intended for search engines — one that will SEOs spent the most period on optimizing (and often manipulating). It makes sense therefore that will focusing on brand relevance plus prominence will result in position higher in local SEO. SEO provides never been about rankings just. SEO stands regarding seo. In case you thought mobile SEO might slow down anytime soon, we all hate to disappoint you. Will be voice search the next large thing” in SEO? In accordance, more than the years SEO's have invested large amounts of time developing backlinks, and some have also tried manipulating this part associated with the search algorithms. Hence, it is finest not to resort to any kind of such Black Hat SEO methods for the sake of enhancing your website rankings. Some thing which was troubling about 2017, and as we head in to 2018, will be the new wave associated with organizations merely bolting on SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION as a service without any kind of real appreciation of structuring web site architectures and content for each humans and search engine knowing. Join us along with this live webinar about lookup engine optimization (SEO) with the partners at AddThis. However 2 months ago Google turned the particular SEO world upside down, launching that redirects no longer end result in losing PageRank and a person are free to use any kind of kind of 3xx redirection with no the fear to shed your ratings.
