Respondendo sua pergunta, acho fofissimo você pensar que eu sei o que é isso 😭😭😭 tive que ir perguntar para os universitários (obrigada, raiy) o que vinha a ser finalização e pensar muito sobre, por isso acabei demorando pra responder (desculpa TT)

E a minha conclusão é que minha finalização basicamente não existe 🫢 desculpa, comunidade de capistas, eu sou a vergonha da profissão, sei disso! Mas é que eu realmente vou "pelo rumo", vendo o que dá certo e o que não dá em cada capinha. Eu sou mobile (e um pouco cega dos zóio), então minha visão dos detalhes é limitada e os recursos são mais escassos, mas a gente faz as gambiarras e dá o jeitinho brasileiro pra sair em algum canto.

Contudo, todavia e entretanto, nem só de desculpas se faz um post da Ana! Nós trazemos conteúdo (de pouca qualidade) também! Pra não ser só enrolação, eis aqui umas coisinhas que eu faço que quase sempre dão certo! Futuras gerações, eu tentei TT

1. NITIDEZ

Além das particulares pra cada imagem, eu costumo dar uma passadinha de nitidez na capa final. Pode variar de capa para capa (2D e 3D tem diferença, por exemplo), mas normalmente é o raio em 2px + força em 150, que tá ali no meio termo.

Por mais que seja o primeiro tópico, isso aqui é a última coisa na capa dentro do Ibis. A frase "os últimos serão os primeiros" é muito real aqui!!!

2. ILUMINAÇÃO (?)

Será que é assim que fala? Não faço ideia. Mas é basicamente um coloridinho de pincel que deixa bem mais bonitinho! Deixar aqui o exemplo de sem e com, respectivamente:

Pra isso é basicamente uma camada à parte em que, com o pincel mais apagadinho, você distribui as cores gerais na capa até ter uma nuvem colorida. Depois eu uso algum tipo de mesclagem e ajeito direitinho a transparência até ficar de uma forma que eu curta. Nessa capinha, essa parte ficou assim:

Nota: ali tá 100%, mas não é isso tudo não, tá, gente? Foi um equívoco. Na capinha, usei Multiplicar + 40%.

3. COR

Eu amo coisinhas coloridas que pareçam um Carnaval, então quase sempre, dps de baixar, eu acabo indo fuçar nessas coisas na edição da própria galeria, porque a saturação do Ibis é bem zoadinha. Podia usar apps mais bacanas pra isso, que já vem com efeitinhos prontos e diverso? Claro! Mas eu gosto de complicar a minha vida. Se for fácil, nem quero. (Mentira, eu só não consegui me acostumar com nenhum que tentei, por favor, deixem aqui sugestões de apps/sites que vcs usam pra psd/filtro/efeito/qlqr outro nome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Então, lá na galeriazinha do meu Samsung guerreiro, costumo diminuir os destaques (não faz isso demais não, principalmente se vc quiser uma capa mais nítida), salpico na saturação até ficar colorido sem estourar (se bem que teve umas que estouraram sim, finjo que elas não existem) e diminuo um pouquinho só a exposição, isso costuma deixar as cores mais vivas e melhora as cores mais escuras. Não tem fórmula pra isso não, siga seu coração! E se der errado, reverte e começa de novo!

My new model was originally set to be 3D, and I still plan on making one to continue my tradition. However once I showed the following (originally just a reference) drawing to my dear friend Mitsuki she instantly fell in love with it, offering me to rig it for free as training on her part. Obviously I couldn't refuse🤭

While I am incredibly grateful, I also am very pained by the cutting prossess. I've only worked on 3D models and small gifs before so I had no idea separating layers for live 2D could be so straining. 🫠

Here is a clean version of my universal pfp💕 It's not as good as I would've liked it but it was also my first time attempting such a style so I think I did pretty well overall! I'm a sucker for very rendered drawings but obviously I do much better with flat ones.

Next is my very first redesign, that I am still using as a discord reactive to this day (two years wow). It's very obviously inspired by Michael Langdon from AHS��, no matter what references or vtuber aesthetics I looked up, him holding that heart just clicked you know?🤭

And lastly my little sub and bits badges! I beg you not to steal them please.. I can make you similar onces for like 10 bucks 🫠🙏

It's not all of them for obvious reasons.. But I am really proud of my work haha, I really feel like they add to my aesthetic !💘

honestly, Serendipity. she deserves an ending. i kinda just left that poor fic out to die one day. i don't even have it linked to my master list at the moment, but if you follow the tag, you can find it. (it's incompletely, though, so idk why one would.)

💝 what is a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?

aside from my earlier comments about Abyss, i feel like everything gets the kind of response i expect. sometimes people seem to really misunderstand my mc's tho, which is incredibly frustrating. especially with relation to Collateral mc and her feelings/relationships. it seems like people expect really 2D characters, which is weird bc i have plenty of author friends who also write complex mcs so idk where the assumption is stemming from.

🕯️ was there a fic that was really hard on you to write, or took you to a place you didn't think it would take you?

over time, Dollhouse is becoming difficult to write. but i think that has a lot to do with the fact that the ending has been looming over me for a long time, and i have gone thru some serious bouts of writers block.

Boy Blue took me to places i was not expecting. once you hit chapter 32 or so, everything takes a sharp turn and completely changes. idk wtf i was thinking the morning i woke up to write that chapter lmaooooo. i had nothing planned, only vibes.

yeah, it does! as a non-binary person, i do like/prefer fics that describe AFAB genitalia(and don’t mind AMAB ones either, cause i don’t think of my strap-on as a strap, it’s my dick.) but i get dysphoria when the reader insert is described as being feminine (wearing skirts or dresses, having long manicured nails, having long hair) or being called female titles (princess, mommy, good girl, etc). the word cunt also makes me feel a bit dysphoric for some reason?

i usually am fine if the reader’s genitals are not described (tho i don’t care for the word “hole” being used lol). i’d rather read a fic where i can self insert than one that i can’t, even if the genitals in the fic match the ones i have. on top of that, a lot of AFAB fics called “gender-neutral” still feature either a seductress type insert or a bashful blushing demure type insert which are pretty female coded anyways.

i’m not some kind of lingerie wearing “do myself up and seduce him” kind of person, nor am i some kind of blushing, innocent, sweet and shy mary sue. sometimes the personalities are so far off i can’t self insert either.

that’s why i appreciate writers that keep their reader vague. i also think that’s why a lot of the time headcanon posts get more popular and have more rbs than actual fics. everyone can enjoy a headcanon where it’s about the character reacting, but fics where the reader turns into an idealized character don’t. (plus i’m also black, which is a separate thing but…a lot of physical descriptions of the reader are incredibly white/white coded. you can’t run your fingers through 4c curls or hair that’s braided. dark skinned people don’t have a visible blush.)

I always had a problem with how gender neutral fics are called “gender neutral”. There’s been a lot of discussion on how the term “gender neutral” is used, and concerns about it being used incorrectly. For example, when a fic is titled as “gender neutral” most would assume that means the reader’s gender is not specified, and their genitalia isn’t described with words such as “clit” or “dick”. 

Something about this also bugged me, as not everybody views the term “gender neutral” as being synonymous with “no gendered language being used at all”. Many people describe themselves as being “gender neutral” and describe their genitalia using words such as “clit” or “dick”. 

There’s this myth that gender neutral people have to be androgynous, that they can’t express their gender in a feminine or masculine way (for example, wearing clothing they would consider feminine, like a dress) (this could be its whole post but let’s keep things short for now.)

There’s also this idea that when a fic is labeled as “gender neutral” that the reader can’t be AFAB or AMAB, which kinda always bugged me a little bit because there are gender neutral people who exist in real life who ARE AFAB or AMAB. 

For the longest time I was willing to live in my discomfort, believing that this was a problem of language and how it is used and understood. 

But now I want to change that. I don’t want to label my fics as “gender neutral!reader” when I feel like that doesn’t accurately describe my content. I think a more accurate way to describe most of my content is “gender null”. 

What is gender null? Well, it’s basically a term I created myself that I think more accurately describes my content where the reader’s gender identity or gender expression isn’t described. 

Unlike gender neutral, a gender null person can’t actually exist in real life. This is because real people express their gender in some sort of way. Whether that be feminine, masculine, androgynous, or somewhere inbetween the very big spectrum of gender expression and identity. 

Think of it like, in fiction concepts are often used without describing what they look like. In fiction when there’s the sentence “the curtains hung against the window” you can picture any kind of curtains. Whether that be blue, green, purple, short or long curtains. Their attributes are “null” in that way where they can’t be assumed to be any particular way. This can’t be archived in real life, because in real life the curtains are a specific color.  

(Does this make sense? I fear this is kinda confusing….)

Let me describe it this way. In “gender null” fics I feel like (or hope at least), that the reader would be more comfortable assuming their gender identity and expression onto the reader, as it is not described. For example, their clothing isn’t described in any detail that could indicate that it is feminine, masculine, or androgynous. Or their genitalia isn’t described at all so the audience could assume that the reader’s genitalia is one they are most comfortable with. 

Does this make sense? I want gender null to be a term that is used for the reader to be able to input their own gender identity and expression onto the reader, instead of feeling like that the reader’s gender is written as being “neutral” or androgynous. I want the goal of my gender null fics for two different readers with two different gender identities and expressions to read my fics and view themselves as the reader.  

Anyway, what are yall’s thoughts? Do you also have weird feelings about the term “gender neutral” and how it is used? Do you think it’s ok? Am I making any sense with my “gender null” idea?
