After seeing a lot of threads on conversions, I've generated a quick lookup table. Some countries like Brazil and Saudi Arabia use both 120 and 220V standards, but at 60Hz.

I was reading about Indian railway using non-standard voltage appliance, i.e., 100V appliances to avoid theft.
One thing led to another, and I got to know, every country has their own voltage standard and frequency.
The voltage preference goes deep into “Edison Vs Tesla” war.
Edison came up with DC systems, which operated on 110V, and made sense too, as high voltages were dangerous, but DC was not suitable for long distance transmission.
Tesla, when introduced AC systems, made careful calculation and preferred 220V and 60Hz as standard, putting him at odd with Edison.
When the German company AEG built the first European generating facility, its engineers decided to fix the frequency at 50 Hz, because the number 60 did not seem much metric friendly (1, 2, 5). At that time, AEG had a virtual monopoly and their standard spread to the rest of the continent.
US companies stick to 60Hz, making it a standard across the continent.
Coming to Voltage part. originally Europe was 120 V too, just like Japan and the US today. After World War II, Europe adopted Tesla’s preferred voltage, 220/240. Since many places weren’t as well “connected”, and lots of the power grid was destroyed anyways during the war, it made sense to to increase voltage to get more power with fewer losses and less voltage drop from the same copper wire diameter.
At the time the US also wanted to change but because of the cost involved to replace all electric appliances, they decided not to. So they stick to 110V, but 60Hz frequency.
Japan had equipment from Germany, as well as from the USA, explaining its “split frequency”, despite using voltage and plug standards related to the USA, i.e, 110V.
So, I guess, for next time, if I am travelling to another country, I should also keep in mind about their electrical standards, and arrange for appropriate converters.

It seems to be only suitable for those who intend to use it as a secondary display for limited purposes, (e.g., file explore). Since the monitor is too old, I can’t guarantee anything on its performance as well as life. No refund. Not recommended for sensitive design works.
Note: this monitor both support 110v and 220v. DVI connection is also supported.
