The performer's role in the upcoming film is "being kept under wraps" according to Deadline. I see what they did there. If they haven't announced what character she's playing ... odds are it's the Bride.

This will actually be the third retelling of this part of the Frankenstein legend, following a 1985 film starring Jennifer Beals. Given the recent success of Poor Things, which was seen by many as at least inspired by the Bride, the timing is pretty good. I have no idea if it'll be any good or not, but we'll see. And if it's a hit, maybe it'll raise interest in more films about artificially created/enhanced/revived women (I'm looking in your general direction Disney - hint, hint, Alita Battle Angel 2, hint hint...)

PS: Odd that this would be a Warner Bros film. I thought Universal had all the rights to things like Bride of Frankenstein (though one assumes the original novel has been public domain for decades, so presumably they'll stay clear of anything that might connect to the 1935 film).

Exciting news! A brand new promo (see below) from Great American Family states that beginning with "County Rescue," the channel will have a new episode from a TV series EVERY Sunday night until Christmas 2025 begins!

"County Rescue" is currently set to begin its second season on Great American Family on Sunday, February 23rd.

The series stars Julia Reilly, Riley Hough, Percy Bell, Kristin Wollett, Brett Varvel, Stacey Patino, Tim Perez-Ross, and Angel Luis.

"When Hope Calls" will start its season 2 on Great American Family on Sunday, April 6th, with returning cast members and an additional cast! (You can also look for the family drama even sooner on Great American Pure Flix - on April 3rd!)

The series stars Cindy Busby, Christopher Russell, Nick Bateman, Wendy Crewson, Hanneke Talbot, Morgan Kohan, Ryan-James (RJ) Hatanaka, Trevor Donovan, Jon McLaren, Sarah Fisher, and Jesse Hutch.

The premiere date for "Vindication" is currently unknown. The faith-based crime drama has three seasons presently airing on Great American Pure Flix.

It just hit me that we won’t be getting Tony’s content this year :( I know we can never be certain with him, but I think it’s safe to assume he won’t be flying across the country to party smack dab in the middle of June (and I’m not suggesting that he should be!!).

Depending on when the baby comes, it genuinely wouldn’t surprise me if he announced the birth on Tony’s night.

We’ll be in a drought this summer, but I can’t wait for 2025, especially with him being eligible for a Tony nomination this time around.

If Darren and Mia were still in New York, we might get at least the Tony after after party with Julianne Hough. That's what I expected as long they were in New York.

The fact that Darren will be back on Broadway in the fall, might get him an invitation to the Tony Awards. If the baby is already born by then, there is a slim chance he will fly in just for that. He did it in 2021 when Mia was pregnant with Bluesy and we didn't knew it yet. And the tinhats hoped that was a sign for the end of the marriage. Boy were they wrong.

I thought the due date was end of May/early June. But now Darren has the Hazbin Hotel online screening on May, 29 (I think). So May is either out or the baby is due between now and May, 29. But June is more likely.

Everybody and their mothers are displeased with max dominance. But the issue is that 9 teams suck (8 team and forza ferrari). Especially 5 from the bottom.

I don't know if they just dgaf now or if it's something something about regulations. But 10 years ago, there wasn't such a big gap between the top 5 and bottom 5 teams. South Australian animated comedy film Lesbian Space Princess has been selected to premiere at the prestigious 2025 Berlinale (Berlin International Film Festival).

Lesbian Space Princess recently screened at Adelaide Film Festival and is the debut feature work of writers/directors Emma Hough Hobbs and Leela Varghese and producer Tom Phillips of We Made a Thing Studios.

Described as a ‘queer as f*ck’ sci-fi comedy, Lesbian Space Princess follows Princess Saira as she is thrust out of her sheltered life and into a galactic quest to save her bounty hunter ex-girlfriend from the ‘Straight White Maliens’.

“We are over the moon that Lesbian Space Princess is heading to Berlinale!” Hobbs, Varghese and Phillips said.

“We are extremely grateful to the Film Lab: New Voices initiative—this film would not exist without the South Australian Film Corporation and the support of Adelaide Film Festival and Screen Australia.

“Our small, amazing local team and cast poured so much love and hard work into this project. Having it shown on an international stage at a festival we could only have dreamed of being part of is truly incredible.”

So far, Lesbian Space Princess is the only Australian feature film to be confirmed for Berlinale in 2025 – one of the ‘big five’ annual international film festivals alongside Venice, Cannes, TIFF and Sundance.

It has been selected for Berlinale’s Panorama section, a program strand focused on ‘daring, unconventional and wild’ international cinema. It will thus be eligible for the Panorama Audience Award for most popular feature film, judged by the festival’s largest audience jury, as well as the Berlinale Teddy Award for LGTBQIA+ film.

Nominees for the 32nd Annual Movieguide Awards have been announced, with shows like Bluey, NCIS, Blue Bloods and Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV competing for the honor.

The Faith & Values Awards Gala & Report to the Entertainment Industry will be held Friday, February 7 at the Avalon Theatre in Hollywood. They come courtesy of Movieguide, a family review service for movies and television shows that has more than 89 million monthly users.

I dont openly engage in discourse online much anymore, because it’s fucking tiring... but I’ve been spending a lot of time away from tumblr lately, more time off it than on. And each time I come back I see it’s degraded further. Some thoughts under the cut that have been knocking about in my head lately.

Slowly but surely, tumblr has become a cesspit of censorship and extremism-- not pushed by conservatives or far-right proponents as one might expect t(hough they are very much present) but rather by liberals and other more extreme-left folks. Youtube, Twitter and Facebook have gone that way also, Reddit is next in the pipeline. The liberal movement in most of the West appears to have become a parody of itself, whose adherents prefer to flaunt their moral superiority over others, rather than make any meaningful contributions to their communities. The focus is no longer on social equality and progress, making scientific discoveries that benefit us all and promoting strong community bonds, preserving culture and tradition, emphasising the importance of family life... And no, I don’t mean a heteronormative family life. I mean of any kind. Marriage is largely considered an unnecessary remnant of the ‘patriarchy.’ Electing to be chronically uncommited is de rigeur, because apparently that’s empowering... I see it as demeaning. Just this morning I read that 64% of millenials are single (this is dated 2014). Around 20-25% of us have mental health issues, too. And by 2025, 3 out of every 4 workers in the world will be a millenial, working harder all the time as inflation rises and goods become more expensive.

The collective thirst for knowledge is decaying. Nowadays, knowlege is valued only if it doesn’t disrupt the echo chamber the individual surrounds themselves with online. There are countless examples of important research by prominent scientists being suppressed because it doesn’t follow the party line. People do not like learning new information that challenges what they already believe. To an extent this has always been true, but with the advent of social media it has been amplified terribly. News channels are mostly owned by the same few corporations and so the information on most is presented in a heavily slanted way-- and that’s assuming it was useful information to begin with.

Governments everywhere are becoming more authoritarian, and whether they lean left or right, they are all starting to look the same to me. People are being sold the lie that there is a ‘threat,’ that they must surrender a little more liberty every election year in order to stay safe. Tyrannical government is the only immediate threat I see. Every government of every country is desperate to censor the internet because they can see the potential it has to be used against them. Knowledge is power, after all... That said, life for most of us in the developed world is safer and more comfortable than it’s ever been, but because so many of us have the wool pulled over our eyes with no way to remove it, that is changing. Life expectancy and birth rates are dropping, retirement age is rising, work hours are becoming longer, houses are becoming smaller and more expensive, education is becoming less accessible, and people have less disposable income. Things are going back to the bad old days slowly but surely. I feel that tumblr’s state of decay is a microcosm of Western society’s decline as a whole, and eventually human life will be a commodity once more. We will become no more than modern-day serfs, working tirelessly to serve the elite and being tricked into thinking we chose such oppression. You too can be like us! Just work harder!

Don’t know about any of you, but that’s not a future that I want. Speak freely and unashamedly, and don’t allow yourself to be silenced by lesser men who want to crush you. While the main social media sites are heavily censored, the internet at large is still free, so explore it and educate yourself... Take advantage of such knowledge before it is snatched away.
