10 Cars At Auto Expo 2018 That Will Launch By 2020
You can count the cars launched at the Auto Expo on your fingers, but there’s a big a list of cars which were showcased and are set to be launched in the country by 2020
The top-of-the-line version of the eco-friendly BMW is presented in its exclusive E-Copper Metallic at the Auto Expo 2018 and is scheduled to be launched in the country by the end of 2018. The BMW i8 Roadster, the i8 Coupe will be the halo of the brand “i” “They must be carriers of future technology, such as large rechargeable batteries, electric motors, small turbochargers, hybrid components and light-weight structures. Auto Expo Expected To Be Launched BMW kept the clipper doors and flight supports while making some changes to incorporate the removable cloth cap (which folds / unfolds in 15 seconds). The i8 Roadster is two pure seats, unlike the Coupé, a two-seat arrangement.
The BMW i8 Roadster contains devices similar to Coupe, but has obvious changes, mainly due to open configuration. The weight was increased by 60 kg due to reinforcements made in the carbon fiber structure, and additional mechanisms added to the extension protection and folding cloth roof. The larger 34 Ah battery, higher than the previous 20 Ah unit, improves the electric range only from 35 to 53 km. The compact drive performance numbers, consisting of a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor, are 374 horsepower, with time from 0 to 100 from 4.6 seconds, 0.2 seconds slower than a coupe.
Honda is amazing
The second generation of the Honda Amaze is centrally located at the Honda booth at the Auto Expo 2018 and will be launched in India in early 2019. Honda says the second generation Amaze is based on a completely new platform, unlike the earlier model, which was based on the Brio platform hatchback. This allowed a larger wheelbase among other non-dimensional changes that should lead to better interior space.
The design is bolder, and the soft lines inspired by the hatchback of the old car are replaced by an almost muscular position like a SUV. Major changes include exterior headlamps with larger LED DRL, large chrome-plated chassis in the form of a “wing”, a clamshell head cover, a roof line with a slippery slope, a deep shoulder line in the side, large rear lights and a spoiler mounted on the lips. From the inside, the dashboard has been fully revised and conforms to Honda’s new design language used in other models such as the Honda CR-V and the Honda Civic.
Honda also confirmed that the new Amaze will also be offered with varying degrees of CVT diesel. We expect to introduce 1.2 liter and 4-cylinder petrol engines and 1.5-liter turbo diesel engines in the new Amaze engine with some modifications to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.
Hyundai Kona is the first Hyundai to offer its new Fluidic design philosophy: breaking the traditional Hyundai design for a strong design of love or hate. It will also be the first full EV electric vehicle Hyundai launches in India if everything goes according to plan. The network is in cascade, the high-DRL mode where the headlights are traditionally placed, the large headlights are placed down in the front fascia, the bold wheel arches and the rear design mimics the foreground, etc. It is the highlight of the new Kuna. The model exhibited at the Auto Expo Expected To Be Launched included a collection of characters inspired by Marvel Iron Man characters, with gray and metallic red paint alongside the iconic icon of the box in the spotlight.
Kia SP Concept
Kia offered a large part of its international collection at the Auto Expo 2018; from the 4-door flagship Stinger Pavilion to the Picanto Hatchback, Kia showed everyone what they could offer in their latest international market. The highlight of the Check Out the Top Cars of the Auto Expo show was the SP Concept, an introduction to a compact SUV that will be the company’s first product in 2019.
Kia SP Concept shows a new vision of Kia’s design philosophy, which traditionally uses many curves. Concept SP is more laminated, giving it an old look for SUVs rather than the intersection. Kia “Tiger Nose” are present, as well as DRL lamps placed on headlamps placed vertically. The design is quieter, and therefore closer to production, moving to the side and back; the window line with wrinkles in the rear glass chamber, the corresponding color ceiling and the high back lights will require minor changes.
There is no confirmation of the engines, transmission and transmission systems to be used by Kia SP Concept.
Mahindra Rexton
Mahindra introduced the SsangYong G4 Rexton at Auto Expo, and is expected to launch in India a new gala when launched in India during the holiday season. To be placed above the XUV500, the Rexton can be called the XUV700 and faces the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavor and the like.
With a length of about 5 meters and a width of 2 meters and a height of 1.8 meters, Mahindra Rexton (or XUV700) will be on par with the seven-seater SUV. Features such as projector headlamps, 9.2-inch touch screen entertainment system, 360 ° camera, cooled seats, and electric rear door in Sang Yong Rikston, Mahindra can choose to keep many of them to convert to a value display in the section.
SsangYong offers a single diesel engine at Rexton, a 2.2 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that develops 178 hp of maximum power and 420 Nm of torque. This can be brought to India with minor adjustments to improve efficiency or driving ability and pair it with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic transmission. Mahindra is expected to install Rexton in India to maintain its competitive price.
Maruti Suzuki Future Concept — S
While the Check Out the Top Cars of the Auto Expo of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift could have been the focus of attention on the second day of the Auto Expo 2018, Concept Future-S was the one who stole the thunder on the first day. Below for the brand and also dictates the design direction taken by the company in the future in general.
Vertical position, high hood, wide body and high ground clearance for proper passage. Highlights include LED headlights, mixed mesh, long liner and front front bumper for the old semi-vertical school with few body lines. Future-S can create a competitor for the Renault Kwid, with the latest in Maruti Suzuki Alto sales.
Inside, Future-S features luxurious elements such as the chassis panels on the dashboard, a large central console dominated by a multi-circular circular display and a square direction. Based on the Heartec platform that also supports the Swift twin, the production version of Future-S can be run by new diesel and gasoline engines manufactured at home by Maruti / Suzuki.

Tesla claims the Model Y Performance model will accelerate to 60 mph in as little as 3.5 seconds. In our exclusive First Test of a long-range Tesla Model 3, we clocked the sedan hitting 60 in 4.8 seconds. A Dual Motor Performance version of the Model 3—equipped with AWD—reached 60 in a MotorTrend-tested 3.2 seconds.
Aesthetically, Tesla followed the same design language we saw on the Model 3, but with lines inspired by the Model X to give the compact crossover a polished look. Like Model 3, the smooth, grille-less front end still has a blunted look. The Model Y will get a panoramic glass roof, and to keep costs down, no fancy Falcon-wing doors here; the Y retains the elegant, mechanically engaged door handles from the Model 3. The large greenhouse, raised beltline, and elevated rear hatch give the Model Y a crossover appearance very reminiscent of a small Model X.
Featuring a “frunk” (front trunk) and split-folding second-row seats, the Model Y offers a total of 66 cubic feet of storage space. Tesla claims a seven-seat configuration that adds a third, forward-facing bench with seats for two, is on the way, as well. Inside, the Model Y sports a simple and tidy design thanks to the free-floating 15-inch touchscreen, which is pretty much the only thing you’ll see when you sit inside. Like in the Model 3, there’s no gauge cluster, and the shifter is in the form of a lever located behind the steering wheel. Other features like the A/C, audio system, and side-view mirrors can be adjusted through the touchscreen or steering wheel controls.
The center console has designated spaces to put your phone, key card, or other small objects. Wood trim and leather can be seen throughout the dash and door panels, adding a touch of luxury.
Like the Model 3, you can unlock and start the Model Y with your phone or designated key card. Autopilot and Full Self-Driving Capability packages will be available for an extra cost (as with the Model 3).
There’s no doubt the EV game has drastically changed over the last two years. Hyundai’s Kona Electric, which starts at $37,495 and has a range of 258 miles, is causing a lot of buzz in the market, and Kia will have the Niro EV and Soul EV with 239 and 243 miles of range, respectively. The Chevrolet Bolt EV, our 2017 Car of the Year, has a range of 238 miles and a starting price of $37,495. On the luxury side, the Jaguar I-Pace has a range of 234 miles, and we expect Audi’s upcoming E-Tron to have a range between 210 and 225 miles. The biggest difference, however, is that Tesla is running out of the $7,500 federal tax credits, which are gradually being phased out for new Tesla models because the company hit the 200,000 vehicle limit in July. Currently, all Teslas can get a $3,750 federal tax credit, but that will drop to $1,875 on July 1, and by the end of this year, new Tesla buyers won’t receive any federal tax credits at all.
We hope Tesla has learned from its “production hell” mistakes and doesn’t run into as many issues as it did with the production of the Model 3. Tesla said the Model Y is designed to be the safest midsize SUV.

With the Model Y now in the bag, Tesla will start to focus on future models. In the past, Musk said a pickup truck was in the plans, and last year Telsa showed the new Roadster and Semi. With competition from Rivian with its upcoming electric R1T truck, it seems likely that Tesla’s next new model could be a pickup. The Model S and Model X could also get a refresh soon, especially inside, where they could adopt a cleaner look similar to the Model 3 and Model Y.

Prototype Drive: The Mini Cooper SE Wants to Be the Fun-to-Drive EV
It may not really be recognized as such, but the 2008–2010 Mini E was a historically significant EV. While other fully electric small cars were coming and going around the same time, Mini’s parent company BMW was using the Mini E program as a way to test and validate a powertrain that it intended to use for its i3 project. The i brand was of course launched in 2011, with i3 production starting in in 2013.
For its part, the Mini E was unveiled in late 2008 and the zaptastic little hatch was soon being leased to coastal U.S. customers by June of 2009 as part of a test program that would soon expand to France, Germany, the U.K., China, and Japan. (In doing so, BMW became the first manufacturer with a customer-operated fleet of EVs that numbered more than 500 cars.) Predictably, most Mini Es were crushed when the lease program ended in 2011.
Now the student has become the master’s master. Or something. That’s because the Mini E is scheduled to return to civilian life in 2020 wearing Mini Cooper SE badges and with tech plucked from the existing i3. While there are still tests and engineering to be done before the car is formally unveiled, we recently spent a few miles behind the wheel of a camouflaged prototype near Munich, Germany.
The Electrical Bits: What We Know
First impressions: Even in prototype form, the Cooper SE already feels like a real-deal production car, and all that’s left is some fine-tuning. And wrapped up in clever black-and-yellow plug-motif camouflage, it’s obvious this isn’t a reskinned BMW i3. Like the Mini E, the new Cooper SE is based on the current Cooper S two-door hatchback and is dimensionally identical to its petrol-powered counterpart. Underneath this familiar bodywork, though, reside electrified guts, although Mini remains tight-lipped on the important stuff like range and output.
However, engineers said if we’re really chomping at the bit, the configuration is closest to the i3 with the 94-aH battery pack, which in the BMW is rated at 33 kWh. Presumably, the output of the Mini’s front-mounted motor is similar, too; it cranks out 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque in the equivalent i3. Without an itty-bitty range extender like the i3’s available three-cylinder onboard, it’s possible range may be capped somewhere around 120 miles, less than half of what’s available in, say, a Chevrolet Bolt. On the bright side, if these estimates on pack size and range hold true, plugged into a 50-kWh fast charger, the SE will charge to 80 percent capacity in a relatively quick-ish 40 minutes.
Beyond the i3 tech, the rest is all Mini. Engineers claim it wasn’t too difficult to shoehorn the powertrain into the existing Cooper platform, as they only modified a few points of the subframe and chassis. In place of a solid, roughly rectangular battery brick as seen in most dedicated EVs, the SE hides its T-shaped pack under the floor, necessitating special dampers and a 0.6 inch increase in ride height for clearance. It’s clever packaging given that it’s in an internal-combustion platform, with a portion of the battery replacing the fuel tank in the rear. Cargo space—such as it is in a Mini—is thus unaffected. In fact, structural changes are so minimal, the SE will be built alongside its gas and diesel counterparts at the brand’s Oxford production plant.
Charging Across an Asphalt Wasteland
That comes later. We’ve crossed the globe to drive these silent prototypes, inside of which everything is hidden behind thick, rough-cut sheets of black felt held fast with gaffer’s tape. Flashes of the characteristically chunky Mini switchgear nevertheless gleam from the few exposed areas. It’s a lead-follow scenario through an extensive cone course, and we’re not given much time to acclimate to either the route or the car before the exercise ends.
At first whiff, it drives exactly like what you might expect from an electrified Cooper hatch. The strong initial torque surge is typical for EVs, though acceleration drops off after the initial yank forward. The speedometer was obscured, but we estimate the SE pulls readily up to 40 or 50 mph before tapering off. Later, engineers confided the zero-to-62-mph estimate to be between seven and eight seconds.
We’re happy to report that ditching the S’s fizzy 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder has done little to diminish the Mini’s charming handling dynamics. Even with an estimated 250-plus-pound weight penalty, the SE enthusiastically bobs and weaves through slaloms, skidpads, and quick lane-change exercises. The steering is quick and nicely weighted through the thickly sectioned wheel, and mass transfer across the chassis isn’t abrupt despite the increased ride height. Keeping the batteries down low means we expect there isn’t much change to the regular car’s center of gravity.
However, once we rolled back into the staging area, we discovered a little secret; in contrast to the low-rolling-resistance tires that will be on the production car, our prototypes were shod with sticky Pirelli P Zeros, perhaps imparting cornering verve beyond what showroom examples may be capable of.
Still, this is a fun little car. We were especially impressed by the regenerative brakes, which were tuned far more intuitively than most other regen systems from other automakers. There was very little of the traditional springy dead-space between the top and bite point and was quick to haul the silent hatch down from speed. We also futzed around with the drivetrain’s two-step regenerative resistance braking, toggled by a rocker switch on the lower portion of the center stack. In standard mode, resistance is noticeable, slowing the car enough to only necessitate minor-to-moderate braking input.
Will Being the Cheeky EV Be Enough?
Overall, it seems as if it will be a fun little car. We were especially impressed by the regenerative brakes, which were tuned to deliver intuitive feedback. There was very little of the traditional springy dead-space between the top and initial deceleration, and they confidently hauled the hatch down from speed. We also futzed with the two-step regenerative resistance braking, toggled by a rocker switch on the lower portion of the center stack. In standard mode, resistance is noticeable, slowing the car enough to only necessitate minor-to-moderate braking input. The other mode cuts most of the off-throttle resistance, allowing the car to coast as would a normal combustion-powered Cooper. Realistically, we’d like to see an additional level of resistance that’s even more aggressive. Competitors like the Bolt offer a range of resistance levels and allow drivers to tailor the amount to the situation.
Out brief taste indicates the new SE will look, drive, and feel like the modern Mini Coopers we’ve enjoyed for three generations. Beyond its inherent importance in bringing full electrification back to the Mini brand, it’s a notable car in the market. Mini made a conscious decision to base its newest electric coupe on the sporty Cooper S, which will set it in a class of its own, at least for the moment. As of right now, the Mini Cooper SE’s most obvious competitors are the Volkswagen e-Golf, Fiat 500e, Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Bolt, and Hyundai Kona Electric. Notice anything? There isn’t an enthusiast special among them, as sharp to drive as some may be. Although, if the Mini’s range is indeed far lower than that of the leaders in the class, being a hoot to drive ultimately may not help its case much when green-leaning buyers start to do their value calculations.
The official reveal of the Cooper SE is slated for July of this year, and production will commence on November 1. Early adopters can expect deliveries to begin sometime in early 2020.

2021 Kia Seltos Small SUV: Tons of Tasty Colors and Options
Kia has released full details and pricing information for its new subcompact crossover. You can now configure the 2021 Kia Seltos online, with prices starting at $23,110.
That base price is a bit high compared to rivals like the 2020 Toyota C-HR ($22,415) and 2020 Honda HR-V ($21,940), and the 2020 Nissan Kicks has a particularly low entry price of $19,965. Still, the Seltos—which just had a star turn in a Super Bowl commercial—has a robust list of standard features including 17-inch wheels, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and two-step reclining rear seats. Buyers can choose from two entry trims that share the same starting price: the front-drive S, which boasts LED daytime running lights and taillights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift, and other goodies, or the LX, which has fewer amenities but gets standard all-wheel drive.
Jumping up to the EX trim nets a sound-absorbing front windshield, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, LED interior lighting, and other features for a price of $26,410. The S Turbo and SX Turbo trims upgrade from a 146-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to a 1.6-liter turbo-four with 175 horsepower. If you start checking boxes on the top-trim SX Turbo, your Seltos can easily top $30,000. SX Turbo models get the 10.25-inch touchscreen, and the Bose audio system has a sound-connected mood lamp, allowing the front door speaker to pulsate and change color to the beat of the music. You can select a $700 power sunroof package to let a little more light into your life.
How would we configure our Seltos? We haven’t driven the 2021 Kia Seltos, but considering a similarly powered 2.0-liter works well in the Kia Soul and Hyundai Kona, the Seltos EX in Neptune Blue sounds like an intriguing proposition. The two-tone paint colors are also tempting: blue/white, blue/black, yellow/black, and white/black. Other solid color options include black, white, grey, yellow, and Mars Orange. Of course, color options vary by trim. Interior choices can get creative with contrasting colors, too.

2019 Hyundai Santa FE Redesign, Price, Specs
2019 Hyundai Santa FE Redesign, Price, Specs – This new Santa Fe effectively replaces the outgoing Santa Fe Sport. The wheelbase Hoy, Santa Fe, will continue for another year, to be called Santa Fe XL, until a new SUV with three rows with a new name starts for the 2020 model year. With the new Kona fuel cell, it will also be a new Tucson crossover step smaller than Kona 2021. If you count it is six new Hyundai SUVs or redesigned in two fewer years.
2019 Hyundai Santa FE
Hyundai is on a good track. To begin with, the new ute seems more mature and beautiful. The rear window is more vertical, a margin of advantage for the optional seats in the third row (below) and the cargo space. With shorter overhangs, a longer wheelbase, longer length and a little more circumference than the Santa Fe Sport, the interior space is also up. Hyundai has increased its visibility by using 41% more glass area than the outgoing Santa Fe Sport to feed target markets for empty nests and families moving from a sedan.
2019 Hyundai Santa FE Exterior
The 2019 model year Hyundai Santa Fe brings a fresh style to the outdoors that definitely changes the things of previous years. The aesthetic seems to be inspired by the new Hyundai Kona, and in general we like what we see. Starting at the front, we find that the headlight housings are now transformed into very narrow units mounted high on the wings, extending backward at an aggressive angle. These use LEDs for daytime running lights, while the additional spotlights are located just below. Other LEDs are used for front lighting. 2019 Hyundai Santa FE calls it a light-filled design, and it definitely helps Santa Fe stand out.
Moving to the sides, the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe gets the traditional high and muscular position, with a variety of folds and character lines in place to inflate the appearance. The lower fenders and non-skid skirts continue the flat black rock guard initiated at the front, while the wings become rounded flares to accentuate the natural nature of the SUV. The character lines have also been added up, extending between the headlights and taillights. The windows are surrounded by a polished metal frame, while the 19-inch wheels cut with diamonds are found at the corners.
At the rear we find the taillights receive a narrow, triangular shape, like the headlights, and the matte black rock guard is embellished with another protective silver plate element. A subtle roof spoiler completes the look.
2019 Hyundai Santa FE Interior
the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe offers a larger interior room, which includes more space behind the second row. To help improve the achievements achieved with great body, 2019 Hyundai Santa FE has moved the window switches and handles to add up the elbows, at the same time reduce the size of the card pocket more space legs. The cup holders have been moved and placed in a more convenient place, and there is a taller and longer central armrest, also in the name of greater comfort.

The different cabin configurations are also slightly modified in the 2019 model year. To begin with, the seating arrangement for five passengers offered by Santa Fe Sport is retained. The front is a horizontal control design, with the main infotainment screen moved higher on the dashboard and mounted vertically, which provides more space in the center console and simplifies the design of the buttons. It has also been tilted to help reduce glare. A three-dimensional board gets multiple levels of buttons and buttons, while the fill is completed with contrast-colored stitching for that premium look.
2019 Hyundai Santa FE engine
The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe will come with three unique engine options to choose from, including a unique diesel option and two gas options. Start with the oil burner, which is a 2.2 liter CRDi turbodiesel 200 horsepower at 3000 rev / min and 320 foot-pounds of torque at 1750 rev / min. Representing the essence of field is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharger with 232 horsepower, and a 2.4-liter four-cylinder GDI that 185 horsepower.
Each of the engine configurations is connected to a new eight-speed automatic transmission, which has the option of paddles of change mounted on the steering column. This new gearbox is lighter than the old six-speed model, and gains a new range of speeds at the top and bottom of the gears to get an extra boost offline and a quieter and more efficient ride on the fuel consumption. road. “Strengths include a direct-acting valve body and a multi-plate torque converter.” The new transmission alone is expected to improve energy efficiency by more than 3%.
Make the most of the available torque is the Hyundai HTRAC AWD system. This multi-mode configuration includes a variable-torque electronic clutch, which provides active control of the torque distribution between the front and the rear. Multiple modes include Normal, Sport and Intelligent, with Sport mode sending more torque in the rear for a more aggressive driving feel.

10 Cars At Auto Expo 2018 That Will Launch By 2020
The high-end eco-friendly BMW is being showcased in its exclusive Metallic E-Copper at Top 8 Cars of the Auto Expo and its launch in the country is scheduled for the end of 2018. The BMW i8 Roadster, the i8 Coupe will be the halo of the “ i “They must be carriers of future technologies, such as large rechargeable batteries, electric motors, small turbine engines, hybrid components and lightweight construction technologies. BMW has kept the mower’s doors and mounts while making changes to incorporate the removable fabric hood (which folds / folds in 15 seconds). The i8 Roadster is two pure seats, unlike the Coupé, a two-seat arrangement.
The BMW i8 Roadster has equipment similar to that of the Coupe, but has obvious changes due to its open configuration. The weight increased by 60 kg due to reinforcements made in the carbon fiber structure, the additional mechanism of the folding roof and protection devices against extensions. The battery larger than 34Ah, compared to the previous unit of 20Ah, improves the range of electric from 35 km to 53 km. The performance of the integrated drive, consisting of a 3-liter and 3-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor, is 374 ps with a duration ranging from 0 to 100 to 4.6 seconds, or 0.2 seconds less than the coupe.
The second generation Honda Amazee occupies a central position in the Honda pavilion at Auto expo 2020 launched and will be launched in India in early 2019. According to Honda, the second generation of Amazon relies on a brand new platform , unlike the previous model based on the Brio hatchback platform. This allowed a larger wheelbase among other nonspecific dimensional changes that should lead to a better interior space.
The bolder design, the soft lines inspired by the hatchback of the old car are replaced by an almost muscular position like an SUV. The most important changes on the outside are the larger headlights with DRL LED, the large chrome structure of the grid-like “grid”, the oyster shell, the roof line with the slippery slope, the deep line to wear on the side, the large tail lights and the spoiler. From the inside, the dashboard has been completely redesigned and conforms to Honda’s new design language used in other models such as the Honda CR-V and the Honda Civic.
Honda also confirmed that the new Amaze would also be offered with CVT diesel alternatives. We plan to introduce 1.2-liter and 4-cylinder petrol engines and 1.5-liter turbo diesel engines into the new Amaze, with some modifications to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.
Hyundai Kona is the first Hyundai to introduce the new Fluidic design philosophy: it breaks with Hyundai’s traditional design to create a strong design of love or hate. It will also be Hyundai’s first full hybrid car in India if all goes according to plan. The network is cascading, the DRL mode high, where the headlights are placed in the traditional way, the big headlights are placed at the bottom in the front, the bold wheel mounts and the rear design mimics the foreground, etc. This is the highlight of the new Kuna. The model presented at Auto Expo included a collection of characters inspired by the characters of Marvel Iron Man, painted in gray and metallic red, next to the iconic icon of the box in the spotlight.
Kia presented a large part of its international collection at Auto expo 2020 launched: from the four-door Stinger flagship pavilion to the Picanto Hatchback, Kia showed everyone what it could offer on its last international market. The highlight of the show was the SP Concept, an introduction to a compact SUV that will be the company’s first product in 2019.
Kia SP Concept shows a new vision of Kia’s design philosophy, which traditionally uses many curves. Concept SP is more laminated, which gives it the appearance of older SUVs rather than Crossover. Kia “Tiger Nose” are present, as well as DRL lamps placed on projectors placed vertically. The design is quieter and therefore closer to production, moving sideways and backwards: the window line with wrinkles in the rear glass chamber, the corresponding color ceiling and the high rear lights will require minor modifications.
There is no confirmation of the engines, transmission and transmission systems that will be used by Kia SP Concept.
Mahindra SsangYong G4 Rexton exhibited at the auto show and is expected to be launched in India with a new badge when it launches in India during the holiday season. To be placed above the XUV500, the Rexton can be called XUV700 and faces the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavor and others.
With a length of about 5 meters, a width of 2 meters and a height of 1.8 meters, the Mahindra Rexton (or XUV700) will be on par with the seven-seater SUV. Features such as projector headlamps, 9.2-inch touch-screen entertainment system, 360-degree camera, cooled seats and SsangYong Rexton electric rear door allow Mahindra to retain many of them for an optimized offering. in the area.
SsangYong offers at Rexton a single diesel engine, a 2.2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine developing a maximum power of 178 hp and 420 Nm of torque. This can be brought to India with minor adjustments to improve efficiency or performance. driving ability and pair with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic transmission. Mahindra should arm Rexton in India to maintain its competitive price.
While the launch of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift could have been the focus of the second day of the 2018 Auto Expo, Concept Future-S had stolen the thunder the first day. Below, the brand and design direction taken by the company in the future in general.
Vertical position, high cover, wide body and clear ground for a correct passage. Highlights of the design include narrow LED headlights, blended mesh, long lining, old school front wall and almost minimal body lines. Future-S can create a competitor to Renault Kwid, where the latter is engaged in the sale of Maruti Suzuki Alto.
Inside, Future-S features luxurious elements such as the chassis panels on the dashboard, a large center console dominated by a circular circular screen and a square direction. Based on the Heartec platform that also supports Swift Twins, the production version of Future-S can be powered by new home-made diesel and gasoline engines by Maruti / Suzuki.
The surprise was great when Mercedes-Benz announced that it would present the E-Class at Auto expo 2020 launched. It was introduced in the E 220d and the off-road could be a legitimate competition for the very famous Volvo V90 . Across the country
Although the farmer does not have many followers in India, it seems that his high-level counterparts have touched the cord. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain can take advantage of this new love for healthy properties for smooth roads and has all the elements necessary to do so.
In addition to the clear design elements of the E-Class sedan, the All-Terrain grabs the farmhouse, climbs higher, has a prominent plastic layer and large 19-inch wheels. There are serious hardware changes, including all-wheel drive and electronically controlled “all terrain” mode to allow all terrain to cope with at least some off-road situations. The E220d off-road engine will be equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine with a 197 hp / 400 Nm turbo engine combined with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Renault is ready to be ready when India turns into a fully electrified transmission system from 2030. Zoe, the most popular EV in Europe, could be the starting point of the company in the market, which in is still in its infancy.
Zoe may be a mass market car that will open the power transmission to a large population if it is launched in 2020. Although this may not seem to be the case, Zoe is the same size as the Baleno and the Elite i20. Its interior spaces are similar to those of other Renault products, even if the screens adapt to their electric motors. The Zoe is powered by a battery of 22 kWh or 41 kWh, the latter offering a maximum autonomy of 400 km with a single charge.
The exhibits presented by Tata Motors are one of the highlights of the 2018 Auto Expo. Of these, the H5X SUV was the most important design. The Tata H5X, to be launched in 2018, is the first product of the company offering its new language, Impact Design 2.0. The most exciting is Tata’s claim that the concept accounts for nearly 80% of production. If Nexon is an indicator, it may be true.
Auto expo 2020 launched Like the Tata Hexa, the H5X is based on the Land Rover L550 platform and will be available in 5 and 7-slot configurations. The internal design is not described: watch our video at first glance to watch it closely.
Toyota has no products to carry in Honda City or Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. This wide gap must be filled between Etios and Corolla Altis and it seems that the car Yaris is the best option. The Yaris was introduced at Auto Expo 2018, which is a bit smaller than the city and Ciaz, but has many key features in the industry.
This includes a motion control system, a tire pressure monitoring system, a 60:40 split rear seat, rear-mounted air conditioning outlets, ambient lighting, a driver’s seat with automatic parking sensors and before. Safety features include ASEAN NCAP 5-star disc brakes, seven airbags and shock rating.

Tesla Model Y First Look: The Model 3 of SUVs is Here
The electric Tesla compact crossover we’ve been waiting for was finally revealed Thursday evening at an exclusive event in the company’s design center in Hawthorne, California. The Tesla Model Y will seat up to five or seven passengers, depending on the configuration, and according to CEO Elon Musk, it will have the functionality of an SUV but ride like a sports car. The crossover will arrive in the fall of 2020.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled the new Model Y in front of hundreds of Tesla owners and employees, noting that the electric crossover’s driving range will max out at 300 miles. The top range will be available on the Long Range model priced from $47,000. Also in the fall of 2020, Tesla will offer a Dual Motor AWD version ($51,000) and Performance version ($60,000), both with 280 miles of range. The Standard Range model will arrive in the spring of 2021 with a $39,000 price tag. All Model Ys will support third-generation Supercharging, which means you can get 75 miles of range in just five minutes.
The Model Y will accelerate to 60 mph in as little as 3.5 seconds on the Performance model.
The front bumper still has that blunted look to it. The Model Y will get a panoramic glass roof, and to keep costs down, it has the elegant door handles from the Model 3. The raised belt line also gives the Model Y a crossover appearance, and on the back, the hatch gives it a bigger look.
Featuring a frunk and split-folding second-row seats, the Model Y offers a total of 66 cubic feet of storage space. Inside, the Model Y sports a simple and tidy design thanks to the free-floating 15-inch touchscreen, which is pretty much the only thing you’ll see when you sit inside. Like in the Model 3, there is no gauge cluster, and the shifter is in form of a lever located behind the steering wheel. Other features like the A/C, audio system, and side-view mirrors will be controlled through the touch display.
The center console has designated spaces to put your phone down, key card, or any other small objects. Wood trim and leather can be seen throughout the dash and door panels, adding a touch of luxury.
Like the Model 3, the Model Y will be unlocked and turned on with your phone or designated key card.
Currently, all Teslas can get a $3,750 federal tax credit, but that will drop to $1,875 on July 1, and by the end of this year, Tesla owners won’t receive any federal tax credits at all.
We hope Tesla has learned from its “production hell” mistakes and doesn’t run into as many issues as with the production of the Model 3. Tesla said the Model Y is designed to be the safest midsize SUV.
With the Model Y being written in the books, Tesla will start to focus on future models. Musk said in the past that a pickup truck is in the plans, and last year it showed the Roadster and Semi. With competition from Rivian with its upcoming electric R1T truck, it seems likely that Tesla’s next new model could be the pickup. The Model S and Model X could also get a refresh soon, especially inside, where they could adopt a cleaner look similar to the Model 3 and Model Y.
Check out the Model Y configurator here.

Hyundai Kona vs. Fiat 500X: Urban Subcompact SUV Battle
Subcompact SUVs are the modern iterations of city runabouts. Although a number of affordable models offer raised seating positions and prioritize practicality, others stand out with sportiness and distinctive design. Enter the 2019 Fiat 500X and 2019 Hyundai Kona, two subcompact SUVs with power and presence. Both vehicles promise consumers tidy dimensions and snub traditional-sedan styling, but only one has the substance to back up its cheekiness.
Transcontinental Contenders
Fiat originally introduced the 500X as a 2016 model; it’s the older of the two vehicles here but has had a recent refresh. The old 1.4- and 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines have been replaced by a new 1.3-liter turbocharged unit that makes 177 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque, and all-wheel drive is now standard on all trims. Other changes include reshaped headlights, taillights with body-colored trim embedded inside the light housing, and circle-shaped LED daytime running lights.
The Hyundai Kona is one of the latest entries in the subcompact SUV segment. Built on a new platform, the Kona is available in gas and all-electric versions, the former available with a choice of two four-cylinder engines including our example’s 1.6-liter with 175 hp and 195 lb-ft. Unlike the Fiat, the Hyundai is available in front- or all-wheel-drive configurations with the latter sporting a multilink rear suspension instead of a torsion beam.
The 2020 Fiat 500X adds a new Sport model with body-colored side moldings and dark exterior accents, as well as Sport-specific interior accents. The 2020 500X also offers a black-roof option on all models.
On the Road
Once you get past the turbo lag, the 2019 Fiat 500X feels powerful. However, the nine-speed automatic’s slow responses can be infuriating. Mat the accelerator, and it takes too long for it to kick down. Sport mode minimizes the transmission’s hesitation, but it still stumbles if you ask too much of it. The Hyundai Kona accelerates more eagerly because it exhibits less turbo lag. The seven-speed dual-clutch automatic responds and shifts quicker than the Fiat’s nine-speed but lacks the smoothness of a traditional torque-converter-equipped transmission and gets clunky at low speeds. In Sport mode, the gearbox holds gears longer but won’t downshift as you slow down for a turn.
Although neither subcompact SUV rides like a luxury car, you’ll want to be in the Kona over poorly maintained roads. Over big bumps, the 500X feels like the vehicle tiptoes as it gets tossed around, and it jitters and vibrates excessively over little ruts. There’s also no trade-off when it comes to handling. Between the slow steering, poor body control, and secure but uninspiring handling, the 500X becomes a handful when you need to make quick moves. The steering’s tendency to snap back on center at speeds above 30 mph also adds a feeling of instability when you’re making an emergency maneuver.
The Kona’s suspension may also be stiff, but the Hyundai absorbs road imperfections better. You’ll still feel everything, you just won’t get beat up and tossed around. It also handles better because of its superior body control, and its quicker, more accurate steering that complements its superior chassis tuning. The Kona’s all-wheel-drive system also does more than add traction in bad weather or when accelerating from a stop; it can send power to the rear wheels to help it power out of corners. Both SUVs, however, suffer from plenty of road and wind noise on the highway.
Livability
The 500X’s interior looks chic, but its build quality lets it down. The door cards and dash are oddly textured, and the buttons and knobs feel flimsy when you use them, not something you expect from a $35,075 subcompact SUV (models that cost around $30,000 have a similar interior and, at that price, the interior quality could be deemed acceptable). In comparison, the 2019 Hyundai Kona’s dash and door panels are also hard plastics but feel more substantial, and its controls operate with a satisfying level of tactility.
The Fiat 500X and Hyundai Kona both have limited interior space. Both have tight rear seats that can only accommodate passengers for short drives due to the lack of head- and legroom. Cargo capacity is equally unimpressive. The 500X’s rear window angle cuts into the trunk, limiting capacity with the rear seats up. There’s a bit more space in the Kona, but there are better options if maximum cargo space is your top priority.
Both the 2019 Fiat 500X and 2019 Hyundai Kona have user-friendly infotainment systems with responsive touchscreens. The latter also has physical shortcut buttons for improved usability. FCA’s Uconnect interface uses a smaller 7.0-inch touchscreen in the 500X, which is one inch smaller than the optional 8.0-inch unit in the Hyundai Kona. The Fiat’s cartoonish map graphics contribute to its dated feel. The Hyundai gets extra points with its available eight-speaker Infinity audio system, which is crisp and clear compared to the muddled Beats unit in the Fiat.
Both SUVs are available with active driver assistance technologies. However, the Hyundai Kona comes out on top for offering them on all trims. Forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and driver attention warning are standard across the board. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on the SEL grade and higher, while pedestrian detection is only available on the range-topping Ultimate trim. On the 500X, collision prevention tech is optional on the Trekking and Trekking Plus trims as part of the Driver Assistance and Advanced Driver Assistance option groups.
The way the safety technologies work make the Hyundai Kona a stronger proposition. Its lane keeping assist gently nudges you back with when you get too close to the dividing line or cross into another lane. The system even keeps you centered despite the car’s lack of adaptive cruise control (standard on the 2020 Kona Ultimate). Drift toward another lane in the 500X, and it jerks you back in then ping-pongs you between the lines. Furthermore, its adaptive cruise control system only works above 20 mph and applies excessive braking when the vehicle ahead slows or stops.
So Which is the Better Subcompact SUV?
If you need a vehicle that’s stylish, powerful, and easy to drive, the Fiat 500X and Hyundai Kona fit the bill. However, one of them gives you more substance behind the bold design. With its blend of great road manners, responsive engine, value, and user-friendly tech, the Hyundai Kona gives you more for your buck along with its looks and attitude.
Second Place: 2019 Fiat 500X AWD Trekking Plus
Bubbly looks and a punchy engine are let down by sloppy road manners, a lazy transmission, and—at least on our tester—inconsistent build quality.
First Place: 2019 Hyundai Kona 1.6T AWD Ultimate
With better suspension tuning, the Kona’s turbocharged power and great tech come with a value-oriented price tag.
The 2020 Hyundai Kona Ultimate now includes adaptive cruise control, while the SEL Plus now gets a 4.2-inch color instrument cluster display, wireless device charging, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink.
