#2. it's VERY interesting to note is that when Tsume returns back to his guarded self is when the status quo of the pack gets threatened.

Hello this post has been in my drafts forever because I haven't had the emotional capacity to somehow convey how much it means to me but: YES!!! I'm so happy more people are noticing this!!
This is extremely striking upon rewatching, somewhere around I think ep 10 (even though there's bits of it earlier, he just gets goes back to being tense as soon as Cheza is introduced) Tsume becomes SO soft and trusting around Kiba. Like he doesn't need to act strong and confident around him but can actually just be himself? Because they are equals who try to make each other better? And neither has to take the role as a protector/leader, they kind of share it? Tsume will smile, he will banter, he will even respond back jokingly to Kiba when he jokes about Tsume, it's kind of subtle but also really interesting. These two scenes are great examples of this dynamic!

I was rewatching some episodes for fun and realized that Tsume looks the most relaxed when he's near Kiba and -I need a moment. It's like the façade, or the mask of the big though guy he wears slips off whenever he knows only Kiba is there with him. Only Kiba makes him feel safe to be his true self around and I think that's so impactful. I really wish we would have seen more of the wolves' personalities outside of the constraints of the plot, like mundane things or habits real people do/have. I think every character acted and reacted the same way throughout the whole show with some exceptions at the end as the story was coming to a close. It would have been so much better if they wouldn't have, because people aren't so black and white, we act/react differently based on our mood, background or feelings.
