Looking for help and support as an autistic adult is like pulling teeth, why is it seemingly assumed all autistic people cease existing when we turn 18?
#that's a rhetorical question I know full well why#it's because they think the only options are#1) you have family to support you & therefore you can muddle on as you are#2) By 18 you've learnt to mask well enough that you can ignore your autistic traits & don't need support#or 3) you killed yourself before you made it to 18 to save everyone the trouble of having to help or support you#& if you don't fall under one of those categories and you still need support the message seems to be ''fuck you'' I guess#mine#actuallyautistic#autism support
