I was thinking more aunt/uncle and Mikado was like their fake son(Afaik he did name himself after Misane but that it was only his first name, so Aisaka as a last name being a deliberate choice does open up the idea of them being real people). Nanase's parents were comfortable enough with just sending him to live with this guy and probably did actually think he was their nephew. Odds are still that he tampered with their memories to make them think that, but it raises the possibility of them having relatives who Could reasonably have a son. Whether he even stays in the apartment depends on how much stuff gets rewritten I think? On one hand he's lives there in the first place because it was Mikado's apartment so chances are if Mikado never existed it wouldn't be his home, nor would he wouldn't have any reason to be there. He could wake up at wherever he would've been if Mikado never existed. On the other hand if he did wake up in an empty/stranger's apartment(which is entirely possible tbh) he probably would be shocked for a bit but I think he would connect the dots quickly enough. He's adaptable like that

(Edited because actually there isn't any line about Mikado implanting memories into Nanase's head, my bad!!!)

They really don't tell you anything about what happens to Nanashi right after the game ends. Like. After Mikado and Misane leave. Presumably the timeline rights itself to erase their existence in that time period. Does Nanashi just continue living alone? He's fourteen. Does he move back to wherever his parents live? Do his parents move to him? Like. How does he even rationalize it?

#And he's probably one of the only characters who retains memory of what really went down in 1bh but he's also adaptable #1bh time logic is funky though nothing is clarified and this is very much just speculation jkahsfkjh you don't have to listen to me #XXX specifically would've been the perfect opportunity to clear things up too coming right after the main game #to their credit we do at least get some information about what was/wasn't changed(Natsukage and Miumi remembering Nanase but not Misane)#but it's so funny that they just jumped right into the murder mystery stuff. Time travel who #1bitheart

He's arguably her most prominent established relationship outside of The Main Character(listen the old lady doesn't even have a name) but also they have one onscreen interaction and hate each other. In MY defense yuo have to understand it'd be funny if she snapped him like a twig. I want to put them in a jar and watch them try to build ikea furniture together.

I'd mostly put the ot3 further to the left because Miumi seems to more actively like... actually get along with both of them. Not as big on it(romantically) as I used to be but hey they're cute.

Would it work out as a relationship in the long run if they hadn't tried to kill each other? Highly debatable. Fun to point at and go "hey wouldn't that be fucked up". There's a romance in hating each other's guts but staying together for the sake of your mutual partner. and in trying to poison each other at the same time. soulmate things
