1A. My moon mug is huge and holds 6 cups of water and is ceramic and handmade. Half of it is unglazed and natural red clay and the other half has a white glaze over it with a crescent moon in the natural unglazed red clay peeking through. It has a big handle and is pleasant to hold, especially with two hands. My mug is unique and helps keep me hydrated.
1B. My moon mug is made from red, unglazed clay but half of it is dipped in a white glaze. The glazed part is smooth but the unglazed part is a little rough. The glazed portion covers the whole top half of the mug on the outside, but one area in the shape of a crescent moon peeks through. My mug holds a lot of water, but no more than 6 cups. My mug is handmade and unique but the ceramicist made me another like it that is almost exactly the same.
2A. My kitchen is a galley-style kitchen and features a long counter that extends out to become a dining counter. My kitchen has a white square tile backsplash and tarrazzo-style counters and dark wooden cabinets and appliances that are black and stainless steel. My kitchen is large for a one-bedroom apartment and has a lot of storage space (and some awkward nooks and crannies). I have decorated the only available blank wall with a landscape painting my grandmother painted and a cork wreath my mother made and some wire shelves to store my tea.
2B. My kitchen is a big space for a one-bedroom apartment, but narrow. The floor has a laminate tile but I’ve covered most of it with a soft runner. The kitchen has two large windows but the windows face south so when the sun sets it gets very dark quickly. The two main walls are taken up with cabinets and a mounted microwave, but I’ve decorated the one wall that was empty with a few items. The microwave works well but the signal is loud and annoying.
3A. My favorite boots are made of black leather and each boot has two buckles at the top and a zipper up the inside. My boots are well-loved and are over ten years old and still look fantastic because I get them professionally cleaned and weatherproofed each year and resole them as needed. My boots are sturdy and well-made and extremely comfortable in hot or cold weather.
3B. My favorite boots are all black leather but the insides are more of a saddle color. My boots are tough but they’re not steel-toed. They’re not lightweight but they don’t tire my feet out. My boots have laces and buckles, but you’re meant to take them on and off with a convenient side zipper. My boots are in great condition, but they’re over a decade old.
4A. My usual running route goes through my apartment complex and past the local baseball park and the local golf course and over a hill and then takes a hard right at the bottom and takes you almost all the way back to my doorstep. My running route is 5 kilometers and I can usually run it in about 28 minutes. My route is completely outdoors and there are lots of different trees and houses to look at and people from my neighborhood. My route is an ideal length for a quick workout and I can easily add on to it if I want to increase my distance for the day.
4B. The route I usually follow when I’m on a run goes past apartments and houses but no businesses except for two small mini markets. My running route is easy to follow but distance can easily be added on to it or subtracted from it depending on how much I want to do that day. My route goes past a baseball field but not a pool. It has long stretches of sidewalk but occasionally I have to stop at a few traffic lights. Running makes me feel great but if I forget to stretch afterwards I sometimes feel worse the next day.
5A. My candle is called Slow Burn and is a collaboration between Kacey Musgraves and the candle company, Boy Smells. The candle is within a deep pink semi-opaque glass container and the outside of the glass has a very glossy, almost metallic label and on the label is a description of the candle in sans serif and serif type. The label describes the scent as having top notes as elemi and black pepper and ginger and heart notes of incense, labdanum, raspberry, rose absolute, and base notes of guaiac and amber and tonka bean and smoked papyrus and cedarwood and it smells like cozy perfection.
5B. My favorite candle brings me so much happiness every time I smell it but it’s almost gone. The container is a deep pink glass but it’s semi-opaque. The glass has a beautiful glow when the candle is lit but also has some soot around the inside edges from how many hours I’ve burned this candle. The wax is a mid-toned pink but the label is a shiny silvery pink but there is matte black text over it. The text is in a sans serif typeface but the small portion with the information about the scent notes is in an italic serif. The scent of the candle is woody but spicy but also a teeny bit sweet like berries.
