there's only one thing worse than the kitchener stitch—or what a quick google search has informed me is more technically called "end-to-end grafting"—and that's having to completely unpick 23 stitches worth of grafting because it should've been 24 and there's a weird little gap in the stitches of your potential heirloom garment and you're not sure exactly what's happening but you know it will only happen more from here

#it's the..... 5th time i've done this style of stitch in the past 48hrs (four socks and a small pouch)#and i got cocky i guess #so now i might have to redo the toe 😭#it's really not that bad like it's only 24 stitches #it's just. counting prototypes #oh shit 6 times because there was a fully completely prototype bootie like a week ago #anyway. counting prototypes i've made the same basic sock or bits of it like 8 times #i don't wanna make another baby bootie for a good long while that's for sure #i've really got the patterns down i'm giving her two distinct styles if she loves them & i see him wear them then maybe in a couple months #i'll try my hand at it again #but god no more after this one #18 of the ~4‚000 stitches in the pair i'm just about to finish AREN'T u-knits #think about that for a fucking minute and tell me you don't want to kill yourself 😩#the next item i make will have a com👏plex👏 pat👏tern👏 HELLO #adam talks too much
