Venner is a fucking child
Instead of accusing me of nasty stuff and coming to me with this remark let me educate you because you seem like a chronically online individual. Here is why there is proof to believe that veneer is a older age in his teens.
This image shows the official wiki for veneer and his crimes
And if you look at his crime you can see that he was charged for fraud and tax evasion.
Reason 1:tax evasion and age
Tax evasion is an illegal activity in which a person(adult or 18-19 year old) or entity deliberately avoids paying a true tax liability. Those caught evading taxes are generally subject to criminal charges and substantial penalties. To willfully fail to pay taxes is a federal offense
Regardless of age, a company or a individual are generally required to file a tax return if they earn an amount of money that exceeds the basic personal amount but you do get charged as an adult if you are 18+ if you are a child with a job(15-16) you aren’t obligated to do your own taxes and your guardian would be in charge of it.
So why is this relevant?? Well that somehow proves that velvet and veneer are legal in age. But I do agree with the incest and minor x adult ship being gross but as for me writing about him or sexualizing isn’t a problem. So go worry about better things than worrying about a teen girl simping for a zest fest.
Reason 2: teens talk sex and have intimacy
I’m your teenager years, there are a lot of hormones coursing through a boy and girls body. This is necessary for puberty. However, because your body is so amped up with increased sexual hormones, you are probably getting sexual thoughts all of the time -some appropriate & some not appropriate. You can't help it. And veneer and velvet being canon teenagers probably think and even commit those acts( even if it’s a kids movie teens still think about and have sex)
Teens have sex all the time around the world so stop acting like veneer and teenagers as a whole are the Virgin Mary. I myself as a teenager thinks about sex and as you can see I write about it and it’s proven by doctors normal for teens to talk about it. Do not treat a literal pixel as a 5 year old who needs his mommy to hold his hands. Chill out bro. If you want to accuse me of being a full blown creep don’t use the anonymous option you coward.
Learn yo facts boo boo

HEYA!
It’s me, the great Antinous (and future king) of Ithaca!! (and the only person on this island that matters >:) )
AND this is my sick ass blog
Age: 20-28
Pronouns- Any (too busy being awesome and winning over Penelope to care so use whatever)
Family- My father is.. (sighs) Eupeithes. My sister is the VERY AWESOME @little-birdie-cass If you hurt her I will pummel you.

Appearance: hot and gorgeous and amazing.
sighs. he has dark curly hair tied in a ribbon. combination of designs. wears an eyepatch after the.. incident.. with Penelope. Wears bracelets and jewellery, lots of furs and cloaks and gold.
Death count: NONE!! because i’m awesome. Okay… except for… the siren. @totally-penelope-and-not-a-siren

Nothing explicit on this account, no imagery but keep it in mind. Also both me and Antinous swear like sailors.
If you’re uncomfortable with anything I post or say, tell me and poof! it will be gone.
Red- Antinous! A 20-28 year old suitor of Penelope from The Odyssey (Specifically my version of him, based on the original epic and my own headcanons, with references to Epic the Musical but he is NOT the epic the musical version. as my friend once put it about a different character, “he is a scumbag not a monster”).
Son of Eupeithes. Has some very.. complex.. emotional ties with his father (hates him).
Sometimes his posts will also come with this symbol🐺. Doesn’t mean anything, it’s just cool.

gosh i agree that i really don’t want her to suffer but at the same time… i love angst so much… and i feel like. sort of like ida’s pregnancy, this is just something that would amp up the pressure to get out of the camp and bring the mood down if that makes sense. the knowledge of it happening to the other girls is bad enough but smith is a BABY. i know 18 wasn’t considered as young then, but u know when crosby says that lemmons was 19 years old in that awe struck tone? i just feel like they all must feel a certain way about her💔
Oh god it’s true, I was thinking about that a little in “What Took Him so Long” but never went as deep as I ran out of space. But I feel like there’s just such a pressure and horror about what’s happened to those girls and they know the current lull is just that, a lull and for someone so dear and young and respected to be treated that way? So much urgency. So much anger.
Also the Lemmons comparison, the awe!!! Fuck yes you said it so well

NIKI RELEASES NEW ALBUM 'BUZZ' & SHARES TITLE TRACK MV
Rosa Gulliver of TINYGMUSIC | 9th August 2024
Jakarta-born, LA-based singer-songwriter and producer NIKI firmly plants herself as one of the most dynamic artists of today with the release of her new album Buzz via 88rising, out now. Accompanying the release is the music video for title track “Buzz,” directed by Isaac Ravishankara. The video, a cheeky line-by-line depiction of the lyrics, encapsulates the rush of raw emotion and bittersweet nerves of a budding romance – glimpses of buzzing bees, a crackling guitar amp, and longing looks between two people, all signaling towards the start of something new. NIKI was initially inspired to name the record after the budding growth she observed in her garden every spring. Across thirteen tracks on the album, the singer encapsulates the feeling of being on the precipice of something undiscovered.
youtube
The album’s release joins previous singles; the love struck summer track, “Tsunami,” astrologically-inspired song “Blue Moon,” and flirty lead single “Too Much of a Good Thing.” NIKI plans to celebrate Buzz with a comprehensive world tour, produced by Live Nation, kicking off this fall. Tickets are available now HERE. See below for full routing.

What eventually became Buzz, the third studio album by singer-songwriter and globally-renowned star NIKI, started with an urgent quake from the innermost core of her being. What surfaced in its wake was a collection of warm, stirring folk-rock songs, which crackle and flare like a bonfire between close confidantes. “I went through an identity crisis,” says the 25-year-old of Buzz. “It took a lot of trial and error, and I just stumbled upon pieces of myself along the way. I named it Buzz because it feels like I'm on the precipice of something about to happen.”
For NIKI, things have been happening progressively since she was a high schooler in Jakarta, Indonesia. As a student at an international academy, she cut her teeth scribbling lovesick poems in English class and performed acoustic guitar covers of American pop songs on YouTube. With a six-string in hand, and her family and classmates cheering her on from the audience, Nicole Zefanya then staked her claim to global stardom as NIKI.
And claim it she has - with over three billion streams worldwide, sold out shows on multiple continents, massive sets at festivals across the globe, front row seats at Paris Fashion Week, four songs on a Marvel film’s soundtrack, and some of the most phenomenal, confessional songs being released in 2024, NIKI has already established a veteran’s resume before the age of 25.
NIKI - Photo Credit: Annie Lai
On Buzz, her songwriting remains as intimate as ever. In her initial sketches of songs for Buzz, NIKI took cues from other lane-paving women with confessional, honest lyricism soundtracked by guitars. “Joni Mitchell is my songwriting north star,” she says — and uncompromising feminist luminaries like Stevie Nicks, Carly Simon and Liz Phair. To match the wandering spirit of Buzz, NIKI cultivated her own elastic approach to guitar.
To further harness this creative and personal sea change, NIKI began enlisting producers who had worked with her favourite contemporary singer-songwriters. She tapped Tyler Chester, who’d captured tracks with Madison Cunningham and Sara Bareilles; she also recruited Ethan Gruska, who counts Fiona Apple and Phoebe Bridgers as collaborators.
Buzz reverberates with the hard-earned wisdom of a young woman who charges dauntlessly towards her dreams — but can still spare a laugh if she stumbles.
About NIKI
NIKI born Nicole Zefanya on January 24 1999, is an Indonesian singer-songwriter. She is currently based in the United States and signed with the record label 88rising. She released her first full-length studio album, Moonchild, in 2020. It was followed by Nicole (2022) and recently Buzz (2024). Her debut headlining concert tour, Nicole World Tour (2022–2023), visited over 40 cities across North America, Asia, Australia, and Europe.
NIKI has garnered global recognition for her songwriting and musicianship and is among the most popular female artists from Indonesia. In 2020, NIKI was listed among Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia.
About 88rising
88rising, stylised as 88⬆, is an American record label established in 2015, known as a multifaceted entity combining management, record label functions, video production, and marketing.
The label has risen to prominence as a music platform and record label, especially for Asian American artists, and has been dubbed "The Disney of Asian hip-hop." In 2019, 88rising earned the title of Label of the Year from Netease, a major music streaming service in China.
In 2018, 88rising launched its inaugural Head in the Clouds Festival in Los Angeles, which Billboard promptly recognized as "the Asian Festival You Need To Know."

Just some random bullshit today.
What I like about the second vid is that it gives good context for just how loud an acoustic Super 400 is. I've talked about this dynamic before...old archtops were meant to cut through big bands without any amplification. Old horses like the 18" Super 400 and the 19" Stromberg Master 400 ruled the roosts because of their sheer physical advantage...more size = more volume and projection*.
*there are ways to mitigate this with bracing and construction methods, but generally speaking...the bigger, the beefier.
Over YouTube, it's almost impossible to get an idea of this volume though. But now that we have a baseline of a Super 400CES (the pickups being built into the top reduce acoustic volume dramatically) going through a Fender Princeton with the volume set at 3.5, we can get an idea.
I had a Princeton (sold a couple years ago) and at 3.5 on the volume knob, that's good enough to drown out a TV in your living room. The acoustic Super 400 is being played lightly, and more than hangs with the amplified cousin. If the guy on the right actually dug in with some effort? He'd have drowned out the amp to the point the guy on the left would have to turn up to keep up.
Anyways, it's pretty obvious why you don't still see many Super 400's around...the electric variant had so much easier controls over dynamics and volume, was easier to get around, and...well shit, if it's this much more convenient on an 18" behemoth, it's probably even more convenient on much smaller guitars.
Which is totally true, and the reason that my main guitar for playing out isn't my beloved Nickerson archtop, rather my trusty Gibson 335. But the gain in convenience and control comes at a cost...
youtube
youtube
It's not bad or worse or anything like that...just that there's an organic "fatness" and "roundness" you lose with thin hollowbodies and solid bodied gutiars. Yes, feedback is harder to control, mistakes are amplified, they're bulky and fragile...but that sound with all that air being pushed around is impossible to recreate without studio tricks. The feel of the guitar vibrating against your body is legitimately impossible to recreate.
I don't really have a point to make here, aside from archtops are awesome and I love playing them. The all-acoustic ones are even less practical...but they're more fun to play. Fixed pickups deaden the acoustic sound, but a floater doesn't impact it at all...which is why I love floaters.
Best of both worlds...for a very specific, narrow world...where very few listening or watching will notice or care. But that's not the point.
I'd love to own and play a Super 400...I likely never will. If you're talking about a baseline pricetag of about $10,000, there are a lot better options. It's not even really the price tag that turns me off as much as the realization that my right arm would be numb if I played it more than 45 minutes straight because of how deep it is. What good is heroin if it won't let me shoot it directly into my veins?
But if you want the platonic ideal of jazz guitar tone, that guitar's gotta be big, deep and hollow regardless of what kind of pickup it's got on there. The ES-175 and L-5 might be Gibson's highest profile jazz guitars (as much as for their practicality as who played them), but the Super 400 is still considered the king.
I'm keeping the Keith Jarrett thing at the top for no good reason.

TEXAS
2024 Apr 20 (Sat) – We went to Spindletop-Gladys City this morning. It was the site of a big oil dig and the city was, at one time, full of well heads. We went through a museum and walked the sidewalks of a replica old west town. There was some kind of health fair going on and tables were located around the square with different organizations offering information about their particular health plans. There was also a band playing on a raised stage in the middle of the square.
We left with Joe & Diane and went to lunch at Floyd’s BBQ. The meal was good and we brought home left overs. Back at the campground, Diane made carnitas for dinner.
2024 Apr 19 (Fri) – We both packed up and left Ledbetter at 9:05 a.m. after first stopping at the dump station. It was a long drive to Beaumont. We missed a turn for I-10 and had a heck of a time finding a route to Sam’s Club to stop for lunch. We wound up taking over 5 hours to get here to the Elks Lodge. We set up, took a short nap, then went into the lodge to pay for 2 nights camping. We have full hook ups with 50 amp service. The camping area (can’t really be called a campground) is a kind of mish mash in the parking lot. Very un-improved.
We had drinks, played shuffle board, and had dinner. The exalted ruler reheated smoked ribs, chicken and beans. They also offered potato salad, cole slaw, and bread pudding with a pecan sauce.
2024 Apr 18 (Thu) – We drove into Brenham at 11:30 a.m. First stop was at Blue Bell Creameries. They stopped giving tours 2 years ago so we just stood on the second floor and looked down at the factory workers hard at work. There was a museum area that explained the process for making ice cream and lots of pictures of the founders of the creamery. It is still a family run business. We then stopped at the counter and each got a scoop of their special flavors.
Now that we had finished our dessert, we went out to lunch at Must Be Heaven. It was a very eclectic restaurant. You picked up a menu, got on a long line, and placed your order. We then moved down the line where several employees behind the large counter prepared your food. It was all pretty good. We then took a walk around the quaint western town, admiring the many murals painted on the sides of the buildings.
Sated and satisfied, we headed down the road to Koopers Distillery where we tasted different types of bourbon and a whiskey. Paul bought one bottle and Joe bought two.
At 5 p.m. we went to Joe & Diane’s RV where she cooked pork carnitas with lime rice. After our meal, they taught us how to play Pegs & Jokers. It was fun.
2024 Apr 17 (Wed) – We packed up and left Fredericksburg at 9:40 a.m. It was almost 4 hours to Ledbetter where we are camped at Lake Sommerville State Park Nails Creek Campground (isn’t that a mouthful?). We stopped at WalMart for lunch and Paul pulled over to the side of the road when he spotted a liquor store. I ran in to get a replenishment for our libations. We arrived at the new campground around 2 p.m.
At 4:30 p.m. Joe & Diane and we drove down the road to a little barbecue place to get dinner. It turned out to be something about the size of a broom closet with a huge smoker outside. A woman sat at a window and took your order. They only do sandwiches on Wednesday and Thursday. Dinners are on Friday and Saturday. We all got sandwiches. The meat was good but they put it on regular hamburger buns, which were too soft and mushy. Yuck! After dinner, we played Rummy Kube.
2024 Apr 16 (Tue) – We went into town and had lunch at Opas Smoked Meats. Joe & Diane met us there. It was a kind of deli that also made sandwiches. Paul and I both had chicken salad. The bread was dry and crumbly but the salad was good. Everyone wanted to walk the town but I was feeling woozy and went home to nap. Every few months, I get that. I think it’s the medication.
At 5 p.m. we went over to Bill & Rhonda’s RV to join the remaining group of Cajuns (several have left) for a grilling. We brought over chicken to grill. Others brought steaks or burgers. It was a very pleasant evening. The sunset was beautiful with a bright red sky.
2024 Apr 15 (Mon) – We went to WalMart to pick up a few things. My pedi-shaver and Paul’s shaver both quit on us. We also got Sheba a new scratching post and a mat for underneath the cat box. Still couldn’t find drawer slides. *sigh*
We did the laundry today. For a resort, the machines were cheap! Just $1.50 for washers and $1.00 for dryers. It made me wish I had more laundry to do. 😊
The President of SMART and his wife, Richard & Mary, drove in from San Antonio to join the group for potluck tonight. We went over to visit with him at John & Kathy’s RV. At 4 p.m. we went into the community hall for happy hour. At 5:30 p.m. all the food was cooked and we shared a potluck meal. Past President Willie and his wife Joyce also came in to visit. It was quite enjoyable.
2024 Apr 14 (Sun) – We drove to Luckenbach this morning with Joe & Diane. It is a modern day ghost town. Three people live in the town but they have wooden buildings with shops, a large dance hall, and a stage for musicians. The schedule is for music all weekend and there was a band setting up while we were there. We got lunch at the one food truck in town. It was far more reasonable than the food truck we ate at yesterday! We wandered around the town, reading information plaques and memorial signs for those who started the town. It was established in 1850 and closed in 1971. Individuals have come along and made the town a tourist stop. The lady who owned the hat store was from upstate New York and we enjoyed conversing with her about the poor state of affairs back home. We then wandered through the general store and picked up a Christmas ornament.
Our next stop was at Meierstone Winery. John & Kathy know the owner and arranged for a tasting for a group of 12 of us. I didn’t like any of the wine. Paul bought 2 bottles.
After our return to the campground and a quick nap, we went to happy hour. Paul brought over the beanbag baseball game and we had a rousing competition. It was fun.
Sheba is doing better. She, at least, is looking to eat again. That was a pretty bad flare up she had.
2024 Apr 13 (Sat) – We ran into town to pick up a few things from WalMart. Paul is still searching for 12” drawer slides. It’s still the only size missing in all the stores we look in. We stopped at the Auslander Restaurant for lunch. It as a quaint German restaurant. There were cuckoo clocks on the wall and the stuffed heads of elk and moose around the room. Paintings were hanging to depict the German countryside.
After happy hour, Joe & Diane and we went over to a parking lot next to the campground where there are six food trucks parked. We got burgers. It was quite expensive! There was a band getting ready to play some music.
2024 Apr 12 (Fri) – We packed up and left Elm Mott (Waco) at 9:30 a.m. With Joe & Diane in tow, we headed out to Fredericksburg. Johnny & Linda dropped in on our group about half way here. We pulled off into a WalMart parking lot to make sandwiches, then continued to Fredericksburg RV Park. We were here back in 2017. It’s still a very nice campground. And the laundry is cheap, too! $150 for washers and $1 for dryers. They have a community room that the Cajuns will use for our 5-day stay here. We all enjoyed happy hour at 4 p.m. The group had a potluck for dinner at 5 p.m.
2024 Apr 11 (Thu) – We had a delightful tour of the Waco Mammoth National Monument this morning. I thought we had seen it before but it was totally unfamiliar to both of us. Two boys found a bone while exploring a creek bed. They brought it to a nearby museum. It turned out to be the leg bone of a Columbian mammoth. Excavation found 15 mammoths at the site. It was a nursery herd that was at a watering hole when a flash flood trapped them in the mud (or so they hypothesize). Since, they have discovered more bones and are still digging out more remains.
The dig site was covered by a large building. We walked in the door and were on a suspended walkway that looked down on the dig site. There were several bones marked with signs identifying where remains were found as well as implements spread around the place telling what they are used for. It was an interesting stop.
After the monument, Johnny & Linda and Joe & Diane and we went to lunch at Ninfa’s Mexican restaurant. The food was very good. We then ran some errands – stopped at Home Depot, Lowe’s and Ace Hardware looking for drawer slides to repair the desk drawers. There seems to be a shortage of 12” drawer slides. There are many other sizes in stock, but no 12”. Wonder what’s going on. We also stopped at H.E.B. to pick up potatoes for potato salad for a potluck and the gas station to fuel up for tomorrow’s move.
When we got back, we had happy hour where the group played card bingo. It was a good night for the Thomases! I won a game and Paul won 2 games. All in all, we won $20. Then we went to Johnny & Linda’s new rig for dinner. She made chicken and rice; I made a salad. They traded their Class A for a Class C rig. It is much smaller than their previous rig and they are adjusting to it. We are still adjusting. Both of us keep going to the wrong cabinet for the garbage. Just got used to where things were before.
2024 Apr 10 (Wed) – It was raining lightly this morning. We packed up and with Joe & Diane in tow, we pulled out at 9:35 a.m. The rain picked up over the ride and it poured buckets during some parts of the trip. We traveled Route 31 to Elm Mott, just outside of Waco. There was a section of road that so bad. We hit many bumps. When we got to the campground and opened the slide on the RV, we had damage. The drawers on the desk had opened and caught the side of the slide. Two drawers were damaged beyond repair and the trim piece around the slideout was pulled out. We also found another leak in the RV. *sigh* I am suffering buyer’s remorse. There are several things about this RV that I am not happy with.
After set up, we did the laundry. At 5 p.m. we went over to the community room where almost everyone else joined us for happy hour. There were some very tasty snacks. When we got back, I worked on sending out a newsletter about the upcoming National Muster in September while Paul went out to Home Depot to buy material to repair the drawers. They did not have everything we needed but there was a liquor store next door. Paul was able to replenish our alcohol supply, so all was not lost.
2024 Apr 9 (Tue) – It rained all morning and didn’t clear up until almost 2 p.m. Because of the rain, no one really did any activities together. At 4 p.m. we climbed into Joe & Diane’s car and drove down to Easley’s Steakhouse where about 12 of us had dinner. There definitely seems to be a very strong schism in the Cajuns chapter. Doug, who was supposed to be coordinating activities, hasn’t done any planning and has shared no information. There is a lot of grumbling about the lack of communication.
After dinner, Joe, Diane and we went to the town square to explore. We parked and walked around the block. Like many small towns we have been in, Canton’s court house is located in the middle of the square. Stores and shops surround the court house on all 4 sides. We had to cross the road at each corner to go to the next area. Most of the stores were closed.
Afterward, we came home and prepared for tomorrow's move.
2024 Apr 8 (Mon) – Today was the Solar Eclipse. We worried about the weather – forecasts were for thunderstorms and hail starting around the time of the eclipse. Although there were scattered clouds, we were still able to gather together and watch the eclipse. Totality took place at 1:44 p.m. It got pretty dark for a few minutes. Automatic sensors turned on outside lights. Bo grilled up some hamburgers and Diane made chili. The rain started after 7 p.m. tonight. Paul discovered that the window next to the desk is where the leak in our side cabinet is coming from. He’ll take a look at it tomorrow.
2024 Apr 7 (Sun) – We worked around the rig, continuing to plan our Michigan caravan next year. Paul and I went food shopping to pick up snacks for happy hour. Happy hour was at 4:30 p.m. We went to dinner with Joe & Diane, Johnny & Linda, and Hank and Brender. We ate at Val’s Italian Restaurant. There has been a band playing in the field across from the parking lot for 2 nights. We sit in the rig and listen to them playing.
2024 Apr 6 (Sat) – We left the Shreveport Elks Lodge at 10:30 a.m. The drive was just 2 hours. We stopped for lunch at a rest hour about half an hour away from Canton. When we came out of the rig, we discovered we were hemmed in by 2 semi-trailers. We started to back up when they both pulled out. That was a pain in the butt!
When we got to First Monday Trade Days Campground, we had to call to the camp host, Frank. He arrived in his little golf cart and led us to our site. We are basically located in a huge open dirt lot with rows of hookups. Every site is a pull thru. It is good to see many of our friends here: John & Kathy from our Appalachian Caravan this past October, Johnny & Linda (who we just left in Chatham, LA), Joe & Diane, Bo & Karen from Mississippi, and Hank and “Brender” (Brenda with an accent) from south Texas. There was happy hour at 4:30 as we all caught up with one another on what we’ve been up to. Four of us have new rigs so it was fun touring everyone’s camper to ooh and aah over them.

Sunday Morning Sermon, April 7, 2024
Luke 1:1-25: "Your Prayer Has Been Heard"
==========
Image
IntroductionIt has been 400 years since God spoke through a prophet.Like Israel in slavery to Egypt.- Where was God's promises?- Where was God?!Into that uncertainty comes this Good News.- A Son will be given.- A Savior like Moses- A Lamb like Passover- A Prophet, Priest, and KingThis Good News (Gospel) is about Jesus! We have four Gospels.- Accounts of Jesus' ministry- 3 "synoptic" (Matthew, Mark, & Luke)- John is unique.LukeAuthor: Generally thought to be LukeDate: Early 60s ADPurpose: Bring the Good News to AllThis was God's answer to a people seeking deliverance. Just as he heard his people and answered in Egypt, he now answers through his Son.
Exodus 3:7-8 ESV
[7] Then the Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, [8] and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
Luke 1:1-25 ESV
[1] Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things that have been accomplished among us, [2] just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word have delivered them to us, [3] it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time past, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, [4] that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught. [5] In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah, of the division of Abijah. And he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. [6] And they were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord. [7] But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and both were advanced in years. [8] Now while he was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty, [9] according to the custom of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense. [10] And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense. [11] And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. [12] And Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him. [13] But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. [14] And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, [15] for he will be great before the Lord. And he must not drink wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. [16] And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God, [17] and he will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.” [18] And Zechariah said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years.” [19] And the angel answered him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. [20] And behold, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day that these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time.” [21] And the people were waiting for Zechariah, and they were wondering at his delay in the temple. [22] And when he came out, he was unable to speak to them, and they realized that he had seen a vision in the temple. And he kept making signs to them and remained mute. [23] And when his time of service was ended, he went to his home. [24] After these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she kept herself hidden, saying, [25] “Thus the Lord has done for me in the days when he looked on me, to take away my reproach among people.”
A Certain Hope (vv.1-4)Luke is the only Gospel to give a formal introduction with a dedication.
Luke 1:1-3 ESV
[1] Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things that have been accomplished among us, [2] just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word have delivered them to us, [3] it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time past, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,
Luke's purpose in writing is simple:- To give certainty in Christ
Luke 1:4 ESV
[4] that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught.
"Certainty"- Stability; firmness- This is a rock, an anchorWe all need this!- A solid rock for our faith- A solid rock for our lives
An Unexpected Announcement (vv.5-17)God breaks the "silence."
Luke 1:5 ESV
[5] In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah, of the division of Abijah. And he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
Zechariah- One of thousands of priests who served on rotation in the Temple throughout the year- The credentials are there.- Priestly familes- Upright before God
Luke 1:6-7 ESV
[6] And they were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord. [7] But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and both were advanced in years.
But all the obstacles are there too!- An unimaginable burden- With shame and "reproach"Just as Israel cried out to God- Zechariah and Elizabeth surely cired out- For themselves (a child)- For their peopleGod's work begins here, with an unlikely child.
Twice a year, these priests were called to Jerusalem to serve in the Temple. Zechariah is there to serve.
Luke 1:8-9 ESV
[8] Now while he was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty, [9] according to the custom of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense.
What was Zechariah's prayer?- Nation? Child?- Probably following a set liturgy- But God knew his heart.Now... God answers both.
Luke 1:10-13 ESV
[10] And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense. [11] And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. [12] And Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him. [13] But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
What should God's Word be to us?What should we expect from him?Yet how often is this God's Word: "Do not fear"?Their prayer has been heard.God will answer with a son.
Luke 1:14-15 ESV
[14] And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, [15] for he will be great before the Lord. And he must not drink wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.
Who is this?- A prophet?- God speaking again? This is better!
Luke 1:16-17 ESV
[16] And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God, [17] and he will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.”
Malachi 3:1 ESV
[1] “Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts.
Malachi 4:5-6 ESV
[5] “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. [6] And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction.”
And now... it's here!"Your prayer has been heard!""Deliverance is coming!"
What do you do when God seems distant? What do you do when God seems silent?Keep praying!Keep serving!Keep trusting!God broke the silence here and picks up right where he left off. No obstacle stands in the way of God fulfilling his promises in his time to his people.
An Unbelieving Response (vv.18-25)How could Zechariah not believe?!
Luke 1:18-20 ESV
[18] And Zechariah said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years.” [19] And the angel answered him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. [20] And behold, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day that these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time.”
God sees unbelief in his heart.- He is struck mute.- The angel came with news.- Zechariah can't speak it... yet.
Luke 1:21-22 ESV
[21] And the people were waiting for Zechariah, and they were wondering at his delay in the temple. [22] And when he came out, he was unable to speak to them, and they realized that he had seen a vision in the temple. And he kept making signs to them and remained mute.
Image
Luke 1:23-25 ESV
[23] And when his time of service was ended, he went to his home. [24] After these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she kept herself hidden, saying, [25] “Thus the Lord has done for me in the days when he looked on me, to take away my reproach among people.”
Why does Elizabeth hide herself?- We don't know.- But she praises God anyway!- God takes away this shame. But God is doing more than taking away her shame of childlessness. He is taking away the shame of his people... ours too! That's what God was about to do in the birth of a son.- Not John the Baptist- But God's Son, Jesus ChristGod is faithful to his promise. He will answer you.He has spoken!
1 John 5:14 ESV
[14] And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
Do you hear?Are you listening?
Psalm 139:7-12 ESV
[7] Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? [8] If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! [9] If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, [10] even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. [11] If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,” [12] even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you.
2 Peter 3:9 ESV
[9] The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Paris, France – March 14, 2024 – , On March 15, 16 and 17, the Hermès house did welcome sixty of the world’s best users and their horses to the Grand Palais Éphémère for three days of opposition labeled 5*, the highest level of international events. Twenty-five global çandidates under the age of 25 may also take part in the Hermès ability tests. A few days before ƫheir entry onto the trail, we take a look at the people competing in the Saut Hermès at thȩ Grand Palais Éphémère, 2024 model.
The lineup for this thirtȩenth edition of the Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais, which was co-ordinated by GL Occasions, promises intense spσrts and tension. Both Hermès partner riders Ben Maher ( GBR ) and Steve Guerdat ( SUI), who have been the world number one for more than a year, have confirmed their presence. The top three riders in the world will face serious competition, including Hermès partner riders Simon Delestre and Julien Épaillard ( 4th ) and Simon Épaillard (7th ), two of whom are also French riders. Max Khüner ( AUT), who is currently eįghth in the world rankings, adds to the group of six top tȩn alumni on the Parisian track. Numerous other champions reacted to the sports concern that the Spanish program manager Santiago Varela Ullastres had suggested. In fact, there will be no fewer than 20 countries competing in this one.
Marlón Módolo Zanotelli ( BRA ), the team bronze medalist from the last year’s Pan American Games, and Santiago Lambre ( BRA ), the recent 5* Grand Prix winner in Doha ( Qatar ), will be able to count on Brazil. The Belgian Pieter Devos, who won the FEI World Cup Grand Prix in Basel ( SUI) in February last year, will also be on the track, along with his fellow riders Gudrun Patteet ( BEL), Rik Hemeryck ( BEL), Wil Vermeir ( BEL), and Jérôme Guéry ( BEL), who has been Hermès ‘ rider partner since 2017, along with a sizable delegation made up of regulars from the Paris Only Marcus Ehning ( GER ) and Simon Delestre ( GER ) have succeeded in achieving the double that Victor Bettendorf ( LUX), who won his first 5* grand prix at Saut Hermès last year, will be present.
In addition to the experienced Roger- Yves Bost ( FRA ), the reigning French Pro Elite champion Edward Levy ( FRA ), Kevin Staut ( FRA ), who has won three CSI 5* titles since the start of the year, and Olivier Perreau ( FRA ), partner rider of GL events, who was the author of a double clear round in the Abu Dhabi Nations League in January, France will have 16 representatives from this year. The younger generation will also be well represented, particularly Julien Anquetin, who has seven victories and three podium finishes in 4* and 5* competitions since December, or even Jeanne Sadran ( FRA ), who is gearing up to compete in her first FEI World Cup Final after taking second place in the FEI World Cup Grand Prix in Bordeaux in February.
In the Hermès skills events, Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Switzerland and Sweden will provide two cαndidates under 25 years σld. Among them, the medalists of the last European Young Riders team championships, the Belgian Jules van Hoydonck ( 21 years old – silver medalist ) and the British Claudia Moore ( 19 years old – bronze medalist ), or the Irishman Coen Williams ( 18 years old ), reigning European Junior team champion. France, which placed third in the most important event last year, will rely on Jules Orsolini ( FRA ) and Wiliam Ligier de la Prade ( FRA ), who compete regularly side-by-side during the Young Riders Nations Cups. Hermès’s skill tests frequently provide an opportunity to realize fantastic family adventures. This year, Mathieu Guéry ( BEL), 19 years old, and Matias Larocca ( ARG ), 25 years old, will also be present to defend the colors of their countries, while their fathers will appear at the start of the CSI 5*.

The National UN Volunteers-India
NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY 2024
Theme 2024: Global Science for Global Well being.
The theme Future of STI- Impacts on education, skills & work has been chosen for the purpose of raising public appreciation of the scientific issues involved and the impacts science has on education, skill and work. The theme itself generates energy and encourages the youth for a future with education, skills, and work in science.
History: Every year the day is celebrated to raise awareness on the importance of science that has in our daily lives. The colleges and science institutes across the country celebrate the day by organizing public speeches, lectures and science model exhibitions, science movies, science exhibitions on themes and concepts, debates, quiz competitions.
Apart from this, students also demonstrates various science projects and innovations across the country. The government also felicitates scientists who contributed greatly to the field of science.
NSD is celebrated every year on 28 February to commemorate the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect.’ The Government of India designated 28 February as National Science Day (NSD) in 1986.
On this day, Sir C.V. Raman announced the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930. On this occasion, theme-based science communication activities are carried out all over the country.
IDEAS AND RESOURCES:
1. Set up a science quiz. In teams, children research and write science questions. Put them together to make a quiz.
Can another class answer them?
What about a children vs staff competition?
2. Write an explanation of how an experiment you are doing works.
3. Write some instructions for another class to perform an experiment.
4. Research and write a biography of a famous scientist.
5. Run a debate on a science topic, for example, “More money should be spent on space travel” or “Plastic bags should be banned”.
6. Research and write an article about a scientific issue, for example, pollution.
7. Write an advertisement for a scientific object. What would persuade someone to buy a microscope, for example?
8. Set up some timing challenges; how long does it take you to jump 10 times or run from one side of the playground to the other? Remember to time accurately and record your findings. Compare different people’s results in a table.
9. Collect as many different measuring instruments as you can. What are they used for? How do you use and read them accurately?
10. What experiments could you use them for?
When you are doing an experiment, swap your results with another group and write a conclusion based on them. Did you interpret the results the same way?
11. Explore units of measure and match them to their correct use. What is measured in newtons? What is measured in amps?
12. Organise a science fair. A few weeks before the event, ask children to work on a science project that they can demonstrate on the day (this could be an independent task for home learning or a group task in class). On Science Day, set up the projects and invite parents, carers and other classes to visit while the children present their work. There are hundreds of ideas here, searchable by age.
13. Make your own lava lamp.
Go on a minibeast hunt in the school grounds or a local park.
14. Plant some seeds or bulbs and monitor their growth over the following days and weeks.
15. Make a paperclip helicopter.
16. Try out one of the classroom-friendly experiments on the Marvin and Milo site.
17. Investigate bubbles. Make sure you use a good bubble mixture, like this one from Red Ted Art. Try making different shape and size bubble wands, from old coat hangers, for example. What happens when you change the shape? Which shape is the most effective?
18. Make a bottle bird feeder for your outside area.
19. Try making some fun games using circuits (requires flash player).
20. Fill some balloons with water and freeze them overnight. How long will they take to melt in different conditions? For younger children, freeze small objects into the balloons.
21. Go outside and make some water rockets.
22. Make a QR code science trail around the school using this great app from Class Tools.
23. Become a roving reporter, take a tablet or camera around the school; film all of the amazing science going on and edit it into a report on the day to share on the school website or social media.
24. Try this: Build a Bridge challenge.
Demonstrate reversible and irreversible changes by melting some chocolate and cooking an omelette. You can turn the melted chocolate back into solid chocolate, but can you change the omelette back into eggs?
25. Make some natural paints from plants and paint with them. Try this chromatography art activity.
26. Make your own musical instruments – there are lots of ideas in this blog post.Investigate how sound is made with a range of objects.
27. Make your own water cycle in plastic bags.
28. Make rain gauges and set them up in the school grounds.
29. Filtering water using a variety of filters. Which one works best?
30. Research the life of a famous scientist and make a short video about their life.
31. Create a timeline of scientific discoveries.
32. Investigate the effect of exercise on the human body. Take your pulse and breathing rate before you begin, then run on the spot for one minute. What has happened to your pulse and breathing rate? How long does it take to get back to your resting rate?
33. Investigate trajectory by setting up a simple target (for example, a bucket) and throwing a range of items into it, for example, balls of different sizes, balloons, scarves, bean bags etc. Make sure it is a fair test by always standing in the same place to throw. How do the different items behave? Why?
34. Create a dance based on the water cycle.
25. Discuss some ethical questions raised by science, for example, should we save endangered animals?

The Walls are Coming Down!- Your Lion Bite Word For Today!
I am increasing my favour upon the faithfulness of my people.
There are those of you that have been faithfully marching around the same walls for years. You have seen cracks appear, and at times have felt disheartened that these cracks have not widened.
I have heard your prayers, your groans of intercession. I have seen your faithfulness and the times that you have persevered through tears, fatigue, and injury. Even when it felt almost hopeless, you have been steadfast in holding on.
Dear ones, now is the time. The walls are coming down.
With great shouts of worship and praise, I will bring breakthrough. A new sound that willreverberate in the spiritual atmosphere and release waves of freedom that the old walls cannot withstand.
So come forth my faithful prayer warriors and intercessors – release the sound of triumph and victory that I will breathe into your lungs by my Spirit. Just as Jericho was liberated, so I will release a new liberation upon the earth.
Activation: Declare aloud, “Lord, release in me a new sound that is pleasing to you, a sound that will tear down walls and bring breakthrough and freedom.”
Start to pray or sing in tongues – notice the new sound that God is releasing from within you into the spiritual atmosphere. Use that sound to raise a shout against those situations in which you have been praying for breakthrough.
Joshua 6:20 (AMP)"So the people shouted [the battle cry], and the priests blew the trumpets. When the people heard the sound of the trumpet, they raised a great shout and the wall [of Jericho] fell down, so that the sons of Israel went up into the city, every man straight ahead [climbing over the rubble], and they overthrew the city!"
Habakkuk 3:18-19 (AMP)"Yet I will [choose to] rejoice in the Lord; I will [choose to] shout in exultation in the [victorious] God of my Salvation! The Lord God is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army]; He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hind’s feet and makes me walk [forward with spiritual confidence] in my high places [of challenge and responsibility]!"

I love when some of the accounts that I follow spam a bunch of reblogs. It usually means they found something cool and that they are sykked/stoked/excited about a topic or artist or new season and it’s just such a joy to see that go off and witness that.

New subvariants, family gatherings may bring more Covid-19 after holiday, but experts don’t expect severe surge
As millions of Americans travel to gather with friends and family over the next few days, there’s a good chance that Covid-19 will follow.
Experts expect that Thanksgiving gatherings will stir up social networks and give new coronavirus subvariants fresh pockets of vulnerable people to infect. As a result, cases and hospitalizations may tick up after the holiday, as they have for the past two years.
Reduce your risk of getting sick this Thanksgiving season
Covid-19 is not unique in this regard. Thanksgiving gatherings have the potential to amp up the spread of other viruses too, notably respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV, and influenza, which are both already at high levels for this time of year.
“We have seen, in some regions, RSV numbers starting to trend downward. Flu numbers are still on the rise. And we are concerned that after holiday gathering, lots of people coming together, that we may see increases in Covid-19 cases as well,” Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said Tuesday on CNN.
But things have been relatively quiet on the Covid-19 front. Experts say it may not stay that way for long.
“Covid positivity is going up,” said Shishi Luo, associate director of bioinformatics and infectious disease at the genetic testing company Helix, which has been monitoring coronavirus variants. “It’s increasing fastest among 18- to 24-year-olds” in the Helix sampling.

New boosters add limited protection against Covid-19 illness, first real-world study shows
It’s the first time test positivity in the Helix data has risen since July.
When test positivity increases, it means a greater proportion of Covid-19 tests are returning positive results, and it can be an indication that transmission is on the rise.
“We should expect more cases,” Luo said. “Whether they’re measured in how we measure cases right now, I don’t know, but I think in general, you should see more people who are sick. I definitely am.”
Increasing cases may not be picked up as quickly by official counts because people are mostly testing for Covid-19 at home and not reporting their results – if they test at all.
Will new subvariants drive a wave of cases?
The BQ subvariants of Omicron have risen to dominate transmission in the US. BQ.1 and its offshoot BQ.1.1 are descendants of BA.5; they have five and six key mutations, respectively, in their spike proteins that help them evade immunity created by vaccines and infections. Because of these changes, they’re growing more quickly than BA.5 did.
For the week ending Nov. 19, theCDC estimatesthat BQ.1 and BQ.1.1 were causing about half of all new Covid-19 cases in the US. But so far, they’ve risen to predominance without much impact.
Covid-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths have remained flat for the past four weeks. But it’s not gone: On average, more than 300Americans die and 3,400 people arehospitalized each daywith Covid-19, according to CDC data.
In final White House briefing, Fauci says he hopes he is remembered for giving it 'everything that I have'
Nobody knows exactly what will happen with the BQ variants. Many experts say they feel hopeful that we won’t see the big waves of winters past – certainly nothing like the original Omicron variant, with its jaw-dropping peak of nearly a million new daily infections.
There’s reason for optimism on a number of fronts.
First, there’s the experience of other countries like the UK, where BQ.1 has outcompeted its rivals to dominate transmission even as cases, hospitalizations and deathshave fallen. Something similar happened in France and Germany, notes Michael Osterholm, an infectious disease expert who directs the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota.
“Cases went up in France and Germany just before the subvariants came in. Then the subvariants came in, and cases actually dropped,” he said.
Bill Hanage, an epidemiologist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, thinks our behavior and our social contacts might be bigger determinants of whether cases will rise this go-round than whatever variant is in the lead.
He thinks it’s likely that we’ll see a rise in cases that may peak around the second week in January – as it has in years past – but that it won’t have a big effect on hospitalizations and deaths.
Andrew Pekosz, a virologist at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, says that’s probably because BQ.1’s advantages are incremental, not drastic.
“It’s probably got a bit more of a fitness advantage, so what we’re seeing is gradual replacement without a massive change in the total number of Covid-19 cases,” he said.
America lags in vaccination
All that’s not to say that BQ.1 and BQ.1.1 won’t have any impact. They’ve shown marked resistance to the antibodies that are available to protect and treat people who are vulnerable to severe Covid-19 infections. From that standpoint, there’s good reason for people to be cautious if they have weakened immune systems or will be around someone who does.
But these subvariants will land at a time when population immunity is higher than ever, thanks to vaccines and infections. It’s a very different setting than the virus encountered when Omicron emerged a year ago, and that should also help dampen any coming wave, Pekosz says.
Many patients with weak immune systems don't realize their Covid-19 medicine isn't as effective as it used to be
“With lots of people now being boosted and vaccinated and with people having some immunity from an Omicron infection, it’s also a very, very different sort of population landscape for a variant to emerge in,” he said. “All the signs are, I think, the best part of the scenario in terms of not seeing these massive increases in cases.”
If there’s reason to worry about BQ in the US, it could be this: Americans aren’t as well-vaccinated or boosted as other countries. CDC data shows that two-thirds of the population has completed the primary series of the Covid-19 vaccines, and only 11% of those who are eligible have gotten an updated bivalent booster. In the UK, 89% of the population over age 12 has completed their primary series, and 70% have been boosted.
New research indicates that a country’s vaccination rate matters more than any other single factor when it comes to the effects of variants on a population.
Scientists at Los Alamos National Labs recently completeda study delving into what drove the effects of 13 dominant variants of coronavirus as they transitioned from one to another in 213 countries. The study includes data up to the end of September and was published as a preprint ahead of peer review.
Among 14 variables that influenced the speed and height of new Covid-19 waves, a population’s vaccination rate was by far the most important.
The number of previous cases in a country, the percentage of people who wore masks, average income and the percentage of the population older than 65 ran a distant second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
How many other variants are in the mix when a new one rises is also an important factor, says senior study author Bette Korber, a laboratory fellow in the Theoretical Biology and Biophysics Group at Los Alamos.
'Scrabble variants' now cause the majority of new Covid-19 infections in the US
She points to the Alpha variant, B.1.1.7, and how it behaved in the UK versus the US.
“When it came through England, it was just extremely fast, but it was much slower in the Americas,” Korber said.
By the time Alpha reached the United States, we were evolving our own variants out of California and New York “that were very distinctive and had a competitive edge compared to what it had to come up against in England,” Korber said, which probably slowed its roll here.
The CDC is tracking a soup of more than a dozen Omicron subvariants that are causing cases in the US, and that variety may end up helping dampen any wave over the winter.
But Korber isn’t making any predictions. She says it’s just too difficult to know what’s going to happen, pointing to Asia as the source of her uncertainty.
Asian countries have been contending with waves driven by the recombinant XBB, a subvariant that really hasn’t had much of a presence in the US. The BQ variants arrived later, but she says they look impressive against XBB, which is also highly immune-evasive.

“BQ is really making a stand there,” Korber said. “So I think it’s not really possible to be certain yet” what could happen in the US.
“To me, it’s a good time, when it’s possible, to wear masks,” she said. Masks protect the wearer as well as others around them. “And get the booster if you’re eligible and it’s the right moment for you,” especially as we gather around the table to feast with our friends and family.
“It’s a time to exercise a little additional caution to prevent that wave that we don’t want to see happening, or at least make it a smaller bump,” Korber said

warning: you wont like this
kurotsuchi mayuri is a twink. here’s why:
old man yamamoto is 3,000+, and he’s the only one to be old and look old, so 3,000 must actually be old in shinigami terms. this would mean that 200-300 is definitely not old and rather young, which is what we need to know.
https://bleachlists.tumblr.com/post/45656995288/how-old-they-are-and-how-old-they-appear-to-be/amp
and
https://sites.google.com/site/bleach2000yourguidetoitsseries/home/characters/subcategories/soul-king-palace/genryusai-shigekuni-yamamoto
are my sources for that
urahara is stated to be 200+ during the first season when rukia asks him about the quincies.
(tessai, urahara, and yoruichi were brought up together, making them around the same age)
now, theres no real way to tell how old mayuri is but he gives off jealous younger brothers vibes like a frog gives gay people vibes so i’d say he’s within 50 years of urahara. if we put urahara at 250, we can safely assume mayuri is 200-220.
https://www.reddit.com/r/bleach/comments/3qo99h/shinigami_age_groups_in_50_year_generations/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
so if rukia is 15-19 at 80/150 then mayuri at 200-220 would be about 23-25.
the nytimes and urban dictionary describe a twink as young (18-25), slim, hairless, attractive, and fashionable.
times: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/14/t-magazine/age-of-the-twink.html
urban: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=twink
mayuri checks every one of those boxes if his appearance in TBTP is anything to go by and him having a new Look for every arc. not to mention his real face.
therefore, kurotsuchi mayuri is a twink and tite kubo's worst crime is not what he did to ichihime, but is instead making mayuri a twink.

I'm SO desperate to know what happened between yi heon and haksan and to yi heon in general besides political fighting and revolts because something clearly happened, something much worse and much more serious, because I don't think the normal political intrigues would do that since they were obviously very close (and with the queen too). unless he just. simply snapped from all the pressure and fighting and everything, which is even sadder in a way. like especially for haksan because he would know he's struggling so much and he'd try to help him but then suddenly he'd be hating him and pushing him away and there'd be nothing he could do and I'm just.......so sad for them. and so Insane dfdfff
also I was watching warriors of the dawn like give me some Crumbs I can make into a story in my head but it didn't much really but it was still so great and I'm just!!!! dfdfff hhhhhh noone can be as beautifully sad as yeo jin goo, truly the wettest saddest meow meow of all dfdffffgfff
ohh warriors of the dawn is such a melancholy movie and yet i adore it so much and you are right, yeo jin goo truly can play the wettest saddest meow meow (it's so insane to realize that i think he was maybe 18 or 19 years old when he was playing prince gwang hae . . . i also wound up learning a little bit about gwang hae in my east asian history class, even though it was literally for .5 seconds, and i just wanted to watch warriors of the dawn and the crowned clown again, just because i think yi heon was based off gwang hae).
and i also do think you're right: yi heon must have just snapped. if he truly was based off gwang hae, then that would mean he was probably fighting for his life and his nation, only to still not be fully accepted by the court (ie. being born to a concubine absolutely comes with all sorts of unpleasantries). in between that and then his father dying and therefore officially installing yi heon as king, only to have a million different people quietly plotting to take him down, i would think that all those little pressures must have built up over time. i would think that while yi heon still somewhat trusted hak san (like, we see that he's the only one yi heon will truly talk to + admit his genuine fears to . . . the first episode where he's begging hak san to find a solution before he truly goes mad will always make me cry), there were def. enough walls built up now in case hak san ever betrayed yi heon. (aha . .. trust issues!)
that, and like . . . the drugs. i think initially, opium must have been used for yi heon to just sooth his anxieties, but we all know how badly that goes. i think that just amped up the paranoia levels, and now suddenly you have a guy who's half-mad from the stress of being a king at way too young, as well as half-mad from drugs, so now we have a perfect opportunity for him to completely shove hak san away :(
#answered#the crowned clown#also the fact that there was that other guy whispering in yi heon's ear def . . . says something#idk what must have happened between THEM either#like what the hell did he do to hold so much influence over yi heon?
