hiii ai!!! first of all, i love the munches very dearly with all of my heart, i re-read the whole story last night, and i genuinely think it's one of the best storytelling pieces i've ever read. and i was just wondering - if it isn't too much to ask - how do you create such in-depth characters and stories? like what's your magic you superhuman

smiling at my phone like an idiot rn tysm😭😭 also i have a different creative process when it comes to premade characters because I'm using an ea employee's base, like, im sure they had a small glimpse of what they wanted gunther to be like and believe it or not, i think ea did a good job at providing a nice base for us to work with (at least in the munches' case) because you can clearly see what kind of archetype each of them represent just by looking at their traits, walkstyle and clothing choice, so i enhanced that. i didn't go through the first process of character design with them like i do when creating a character from scratch. i didnt need to come up with a prompt and creating concepts i directly jumped on developing their already stated personalities and enhancing what we were provided with.

but i have to say, the characters that are at least 85% my own mind doing its job on them are lucas and max. their prompts were "outdoorsy, bright, sweet" and "mean, negative, force of nature" respectively. both extremely different and dare i say opposites but since no one no matter how good or evil they are is truly #ffffff white or #000000 black, i gave them grey tones. i think this is a basic rule on what makes a character tridimensional/ gives them depth.

Addison lore idea: a white (#FFFFFF) or black (#000000) Addison is extremely rare to find, rarer than a colorless Addison even, but they are possible if they're overexposed to white or black respectively in their environment and neglected (almost, but not completely, abandoned) by their parent, who also is a shade of white/black

disclaimer: this isn't canon lore to any fandoms, this is me and @x3phos' lore for a fanon made species based on yogscast content

lumians are star beings, they're humanoids from another galaxy that have "liquid stardust" in their body that makes them glow a certain color. it's not their blood color, it's a layer of biolumessent fluid that comes from stars that's between their skin and rest of their internal organs. about half their body's energy runs on what a normal human does, the other half runs on this substance called bioneos.

most lumians glow a regular shade or tint, the most common ones being red, blue, yellow, then secondary colors, purple, green, orange, and various in betweens.

however, very, very, few lumians are born with a biohex (the exact shade they glow) of #FFFFFF (pure white) or #000000 (pure black). they're known as Celestials and Abyssals, respectively

celestials are pure, godlike, beings. though they possess no actual different traits to the average lumian, they're worshipped like deities. white is the absence of color: therefore they're seen as selfless and self-sacrificing, giving up their hue for the greater good.

the setback comes with the medical problem. biohex works kind of like blood types, a purple lumian can receive bioneos from a blue, red, or another shade of purple lumian. a celestial lumian can't receive bioneos except from another celestial, which are only born every few centuries. therefore they are very fragile and easy to kill, if one were to harm them in a way that required them to have more bioneos injected into them, they'd be very weak and surely die.

...and abyssals are the opposite.

they're seen as cursed lumians, destined to be greedy and power hunger, able to steal bioneos from any other lumian, given that black is the combination of all colors at once. they don't so much glow as they give off an aura of darkness. y'know when you look down a tar road on a hot day and see heat waves coming off it? they have that sensation around them at all times. i drew grian as an abyssal here with his eyes and hands leaking, which is meant to show he's an abyssal who is... over-gorged on bioneos. again, i don't have any headcanon for grian set in stone, but his eyes are pure black, so it makes for a cool idea...

sidenote: bioneos isn't exactly blood, it's used in things other than lumians bodies, and also, lumian vampirism is a thing

but hey! that's another ask :)

One of my numerous colour-cube doodles—not interesting to anyone else, but I like it, and it was a relaxing project. I would call it a distraction activity, except there’s nothing I’m doing that it can be a distraction from. It’s an 18×18×18 cube, with all the RGB numbers being multiples of 15. 

The top left figure is a view of the outside layer of the cube, showing all the colour cells that have 0 as one of the RGB numbers. The centre cell is #000000. The top right figure is the opposite view, showing all the colour cells that have 255 (#FF) as one of the RGB numbers, the centre cell being #FFFFFF.

The pair below them show the next layer in. The left-hand figure is all the colours in the cube with a minimum RGB number of 15 (#0F), with #0F0F0F at the centre; the right-hand one is the colours with a maximum of 240 (#F0), with #F0F0F0 at the centre.

The next pair down have a minimum of 30 (#1E) in the left-hand figure, and a maximum of 225 (#E1) in the right-hand one, the respective centres being #1E1E1E and #E1E1E1. And so on down to the smallest pair, with the minimum on the left of each pair being 15 more than that of the next bigger pair, and the maximum on the right being 15 less. The maxima and minima of the smallest pair are 120 (#78) and 135 (#87) with centres of #787878 and #878787. These are the centre 2×2×2 cube.

How does a home DNA test kit work?

When performing an At-Home Paternity Test kit or another related Home DNA Test kit you will include a set of instructions that will be enclosed along with your DNA sample collection supplies such as, a chain of custody form, cotton swabs, and a return shipping label going back to the lab. Below are the instruction on how to collect your own DNA samples in the comfort of your home.

How to collect your DNA test sample instructions

Complete the chain of custody form enclosed with your DNA kit. The required sections that must you complete are as follows: Relationship, Name, Date of Birth, Signature, Date of Collection and Sex. These sections will be highlighted on the chain of custody form.

Fill out each DNA Collection Envelope, with the name of each tested person as it appears on the Collection Form, (Alleged Father, Child, Mother, Sibling etc.) date of collection, date of birth, name of the collector and initial the back of each envelope. These sections will be highlighted in the sample collection envelopes.

There are two swabs in each cheek swabs package – 2 swab packets are for one person only for a total of 4 swabs person

Remove the first swab by slowly pulling it out of the protective package, do not touch any part of the cotton tip with your hand, and only touch the shaft with your fingers.

Swab the inside of the mouth between the cheek and the gum brushing and twirling for a minimum of 30 seconds on the left cheek 2 x (once for each swab in the packet). Make sure you air-dry the swab for 30 seconds or more to avoid possible contamination.

Then repeat the same process for the right cheek.

After each cheek swab, place each (4) cotton swabs into the respective DNA ID Envelope of the person having their sample collected.

The process described above should be performed exactly the same for all parties involved with the DNA test.

Once completed please make sure you have completed the chain of custody form correctly. Place the chain of custody form and DNA Collection Envelopes into the prepaid envelope that came along with your collection kit.

Ship DNA testing kit back to the laboratory.
