if you're walking at 5mph, but your feet are on sideways, and the sky turns green at 2:53, and Keanu Reeves has been sent to Neptune, what's your favorite video game
i cant walk 5mph in the first place, im only 5'4 and i have to walk like marvin the fucking martian everywhere i go
if my feet were on sideways i would still manage to get my shoes on wrong because i cant tell my left from my right
if the sky turns green that means every single car on the road is allowed to go at the same time
keanu reeves cant be sent to neptune with an expired passport
my favorite videogame MIGHT be professor layton and the diabolical box just because ive never been able to get over the ending, but mario galaxy and deltarune also come to mind
#this was very fun to answer thank u :o) ive always loved multiple choice questions#maybe if i had more multiple choice in my life id be able to get things done faster just closing my eyes and hoping for the best#its amazing that i dont own a magic eight ball. it would do wonders for my natural indecision and superstition#also to be fair ive only played the first two layton games even though i have the 3rd and 4th games on my cracked cartridge#BUT thats because my copy of unwound future is ass and it freezes on the opening cutscene so i cant even play it. sigh#maybe i should consider getting the mobile remastered versions but im lazy and i dont even know if i have enough storage space#there should be enough space on my ipad though so maybe. or ill back up some files to make room idk#i would have also answered undertale bc i had a huge undertale phase when it came out but im gonna be honest. ive never actually played it#im actually wondering if i should buy a copy for myself for xmas using grays steam account#the only thing im worried about is my motor skills are bad with keyboard and im dreading the asgore fight bc i heard its hard#but ive also never watched a full playthru so i feel like id be going into the game blind which sounds exciting. and ill prbably cry a lot#besides that ive been replaying mario galaxy with gray and i forgot how good the game is.. i love the ambience and game mechanics#although the races are so nerve wracking and i hate the controls sometimes. did u know i died on loopdeloop galaxy TWELVE FUCKING TIMES#also deltarune because i love EVERYTHING abt it i love the lore i love SUSIE i love the whole thing kris has going on#yapping#ask

I wasn't trying to have a debate I was literally just being silly lmfao
I have many theories who the roaring knight is, but im just saying
Rouxles Karrd's mouth is a very similar shape to the knight's 'face'.
#I started it with 'I have many theories' meaning that I had other people I think it is.#like duh I know it has antlers I am not blind#i know the most likely answers are carol dess rudy or noelle [not likely]#but like have some fun.#it's a /helmet/.#the person underneath doesn't necessarily need to have antlers.#it could also be asgore because his sprite in undertale also bares an uncanny resemblance and he has horns#also it could just. be a hologram.#so it could literally be anyone.#besides kris susie ralsei or tori#cuz they were in the room#chiiiillll it's just a videogame and I was making a silly comparison c'mon have some fuuun this isn't about being right it's abt having fun#i was making a silly post about tee hee RK rouxles karrd roaring knight#goddamn lol#deltarune#deltarune spoilers#deltarune chapter 3

ms.toriel is interesting to me because why didn’t she just use her maiden name? Some idea’s:
1. she and Asgore had been married so long her maiden name no longer felt right.
2. She’s not on good terms with her parents, so she doesn’t wanna use her maiden name either
3. she wanted to keep her and Asgores failing marriage somewhat discreet, ms. Toriel can easily be brushed off as just wanting to seem more approachable while her maiden name can’t.
this might be a cultural clash moment, but elementary school children don't refer to their teachers by last name where I'm from. (actually we don't use honorifics either we use the word "teacher" itself instead of ms. or mrs. but that's a bit besides the point lol)

Im sorry, I know this is but a simple rb blog but I need to rant about this to SOMETHING.
End of ch4 DELTARUNE spoilers and rant under cut
Why are people acting like sans having a fling with Toriel is some new, out of character thing? Did we play the same undertale? The same Deltarune? Of course Sans is a bastard that dates your divorced mom. i feel like even though it must be hard for Kris to move on from the divorce it’s perfectly understandable for Toriel to seek something more and move on from Asgore, is it sad? Yeah, is it reasonable, also yes! Everyone is focused on Sans in this interaction, I barley see people talking about how Toriel feels. She ended a relationship some time ago and ever since her dead beat ex husband has been trying to get her back and she’s so over it, THAT day Asgore tried to offer her flowers, I wouldn’t be surprised if Toriel was fed up with it and when Sans (presumably) started flirting with her (LIKE HE DOES) she let him. Toriel is not a sailor being encapsulated by a siren’s song, she let sans in, she invited him over and offered him a drink. Sans is not some terrible guy here, he is just a guy flirting with a single woman. Is that what you’re mad about? Really?
Sans was probably aware of Toriel’s and Asgore’s relationship, and in that yes it is a kind of bitch move to flirt with a somewhat recently divorced woman BUT this isnt outside of his character, since Undertale he has been a troll and a bastard, even in Deltarune he has some pretty prick-ish tendencies. I think a lot of people are forgetting that.
Anyways, yeah I feel terrible for Kris, I have a divorced mom and when my (now ex) stepdad came into the picture I hated him so much and never once called him dad or considered him family, so I know how it feels, but I think its good for Kris to move on from their parents being… together. I think especially after chp3 Kris has a problem with moving on, and I think Sans and Toriel being together is a genuinely good plot point to force Kris into moving on from Asgore and Toriel. Which, who knows what that might lead too.
LIKE Kris obviously struggles too move on, in chp4 we get the info that even if placed in the same location, dark fountains alter based on the emotions felt at the time, and Tenna’s whole thing is that he cant move on. He cant move on from cable becoming irrelevant, he cant move on from Kris and Asriel moving on, he cant move on, and thats shows how Kris feels about moving on from their childhood, So Sans and Toriel becoming a thing might help Kris understand that they HAVE too move on, and might even help Asgore too
The whole game has a theme of “moving on” in the sense that every main character (Kris, Susie, Noelle, Berdly, and Ralsei)
Kris has to move on from their childhood, Ralsei needs to move on from the prophecy and his ‘purpose’, Susie needs to move on from her mean ways and tough personality to be more like herself, Noelle needs to move on from Dess and Berdly has to move on from Noelle and the idea that hes not actually as likeable as he pretends to be
That being said, (besides Noelle) all of these are being actively challenged, Berdly getting rejected and kinda like put in his place, Susie is having a whole character arc with Ralsei, who in turn is also learning to be more selfish and see himself as his own being, and Kris gets to move on from their mom moving on.
Sorry this is just rambling and ranting but I’m sick and tired, also this somehow devolved into a theory at the end? I dont know, I have so many thoughts I cant barley catch them to type them out. I hope you enjoyed, if even a single person is reading this

I don't think she intended to endorse the second plan, and that her argument was more "If you really wanted to free monsterkind you wouldn't have sat on your throne and waited for more humans to fall down when you could have used a human soul, crossed the barrier, and killed six more." I think this is why she considers him a coward, because he didn't even try the most effective strategy, making it clear he doesn't want to free monsterkind and is letting them keep their hope through a lie he told them. That lie was that he would free monsterkind with seven souls and eradicate humanity.
Asgore also makes it clear he doesn't want to live up to his promise as he will literally kill himself in front of you if Flowey doesn't kill him so you can leave the underground. I think what Toriel wants him to do is to be honest with his people and admit that he never wanted to eradicate humanity or free monsters from the underground, that would take real courage.
Transcript: I dislike "soriel" and i feel bad for asgore he killed those six humans but he didnt do it out of pure evil he did it because he had too he definitely didnt enjoy it and regretted it
And when toriel mentioned that asgore could've absorbed and passed the barrier to gather the other six and whose to say she wont be as angry if not more if asgore did pass the barrier to collect the other six
And its not like toriel succeed in protecting those six herself
#not trying to hate on asgore i hope this doesn't come off as it#i don't think toriel should've had to protect those children from him in the first place tbh#and besides with all the resets the souls could have done who's to say she didn't try to since we don't know anything about then#we only have frisk to go off of as a guess to how she acted with the others and by that point she'd probably have lost a lot of hope consid#ering she fights frisk so they won't leave convinced asgore will kill them too#i'm not a toriel expert but i just kinda think you need to consider it more from her perspective#imagine if your husband just up and told the kingdom without consulting you that he was going to eradicate humanity and they all cheered fo#and disgusted by this you give up hope on your kingdom and return to your old home in the ruins#you take in new children just for him to kill them all#i'd hate asgore too if i was toriel

i did not Touch any fan made chapter 3 content bc it just didn’t interest me im sorry. but this is so you know I didn’t have any preconceived ideas of how it should’ve gone. but so i know it was literally entirely the point but i kinda dont like how tenna had the spotlight the whole of the chapter. it probably would have been fine to me if i. actually liked tenna beyond ‘lukewarm’. i was hoping the dark world would be more of kris’ house and not just Gameshow Studio Area. the nes game stuff was fun but I feel it went on entirely too long but that might just be me. its just that This was the dark world Actually being hyped up and i was excited to see how it would inform kris and toriel and even asgore and asriel’s characters bc These Darkners Are All Gonna Know The Dreemurrs. i think I’m just bummed out about not getting to Meet the red horn headband or the green crayon and chairiel not being a character at all and toriel and undyne getting completely shafted and instead getting Spamton Again But Tall And A TV And Hates Spamton.
i enjoyed it for what it was but idk i guess even besides that it just kinda felt. interrupted. which granted it kind of was. it just felt like there were a lot of things potentially set up for this dark world from previous chapters that didn’t get followed up on. i liked the light world sections of 3&4 a lot better than the dark worlds Which Isn’t Really A Bad Thing. but both dark worlds kinda had a lack of interesting darkner Characters like chapter 1 or especially chapter 2 did. it just felt like a lot of npcs with a little flavor text. i like ramb and the old man though
#☝️i’m not Just upset i can barely talk to my favorite characters i Do have actual nitpicks#words from the monarch#deltarune spoilers#deltarune#normally I do not put negativity in organizational tags. but these is spoilers#and not everyone has blacklisted ‘deltarune spoilers’ specifically. some people have only ‘deltarune’ blacklisted

Raargghhh I love toritenna I love one sided devotion and reverence !! I love one being unaware of the other's existence !! I love Tenna wanting to return to the past but having this desire to step in as Kris' father figure !! I love Tenna wanting to whisk Toriel away and keep her safe despite the corrupt way he goes about it !!! I love his obvious affection towards her !! I love that he probably saw her at her worst with Asgore but has a desire to stay beside her anyways !! I love that there's no effective way for him to communicate any of this to her thus making the relationship inherently tragic and doomed to fail !!!!! Aaahhhhhh !!!!!!!
Anyways here's a little doodle :~)

DELTARUNE THEORY: Is the Knight really "too obvious?"
More specifically, is Dess being the Knight too obvious?
In my opinion, no.
I feel like people who are in way too deep into Deltarune like I am are forgetting that Dess being the Knight isn't actually obvious to the layman player.
Like you gotta remember Dess is a character who is only mentioned in optional dialogue in Chapter 1, in passing a few times in Chapter 2, and once directly in Chapter 3. Tenna is the first character to even call her December. Everything about Dess being missing and her full name being December in Chapter 2 is subtext, and frankly some people just don't catch subtext.
Dess only being called direct attention to in Chapter 3, the same chapter the Knight appears in, is certainly no coincidence, but it doesn't read as a misdirect. After all, up until the Knight appears, the game is busy misdirecting you into thinking Kris is the Knight. Then soon after the game introduces you to Carol, a cold woman who is clearly sus as hell and has pointed antlers just like the Knight.
The subtext is becoming a lot more noticeable sure. Dess's room is labelled as such, it's not supposed to be entered, her guitar not meant to be touched. But the game isn't giving you much time to chew on that idea before introducing Carol and her obvious villain vibes. There is not much lull between the game wanting you to think Kris is the Knight and the game wanting you to think Carol is the Knight. There's also like 3 seconds of Asgore misdirect that is like, extra funny if you didn't know he was in the house yet, which is weirdly missable information.
But I know what you're asking, isn't the Knight's sword looking like a bat for a second too obvious? Well, besides just the fact that not everybody is going to immediately make the connection that it looks like a bat in those two seconds, no. Every mention of Dess wielding a bat is optional missable dialogue, and frankly, the lyrics to Raise Up Your Bat are nigh unreadable when you're actually trying to win the rhythm game. And if they missed that dialogue about the whiffle bat, they might not even make the connection between Raise Up Your Bat and Dess, even if the subtext of the Tenna scene makes it pretty obvious. Same with the baseball moon scene, although that again requires you to make the connection between Dess and baseball in the first place.
And then, throughout the rest of Chapter 4 and the Knight's various appearances, Dess is never mentioned again, and the actually present character of Carol will linger on most players minds.
In short, the game is definitely dropping hints that Dess is the Knight, but they're not as loud as people seem to think. People playing the game now, all at once, and not being the most thorough definitely won't be thinking it's as obvious as the people who have photographic memory of all facts about Dess from years of theorizing, and they might just not pick up on the idea in the first place. Kris is a much more enticing candidate until they aren't, and then Carol appears soon after. Dess is the underdog option here, being given less attention by the game due to her lack of presence, and that makes her all the better for keeping the mystery going.
I guess this was a sort of weird reverse of a Dess Knight theory, approaching it from the opposite perspective as usual, but I suppose I do think it's the most likely option. But if you think it's too obvious, just ask the people who saw the antlers and still think it's Asgore or Papyrus.
Last thing to remember I think is that this is a game that was never meant to be played in chunks over many years. The intended play experience is going to be playing the game start to back once it's actually done, like most other rpgs. We were never meant to have years in between chapters to obsess over all available information. Now, that doesn't mean theorizing is a bad thing, I love theorizing. But you gotta remember not to overthink it. Something that seems too obvious with years of time to think about it and all available information is not going to be too obvious to some guy playing through the whole game for the first time as intended.

Why aren't there comics in your interpretation of a flower king dark world?
I was just curious as to why you chose this generic fantasy theming instead of comics since the comics at Asgore's are the only form of entertainment
Plus it would be cool to see KFC in an urban superhero aestetic
Would it be cool? Yes.
Would it fit what I'm going for? No.
The theme is not "generic fantasy world." This Dark World is themed around ancient Greece. Why ancient Greece? Because Asgore is mentally stuck in the past. There are mostly only ruins left, like Asgore's dying business. AND the Knight of this Dark World happens to be Flowey. A character who, on more than one occasion, has been playing god. Gods were kinda a big deal back in ancient Greece.
That is why, anon.
I know there are those theories going around that the Dark World's are based on escapism or entertainment. But PLEASE keep in mind that this story was written YEARS ago. I won't go changing my script for that.
Besides, the comics are a small part INSIDE the store. The whole idea was to mix the RUINS from Undertale with a Dark World since both games are cannibalizing each other IN THIS STORY. RUINS... Ancient Greece... You see my thought process, anon?
It's thematic.

I feel like Undertale x Danny Phantom would be a bit of a relief for the young halfa. I’d really like to see him being scared of them not because they’re different, but because they’re just as intelligent and curious as humans. As ghost hunters.
But then he gets some sort of confirmation that they really aren’t going to do anything bad. Some doctors still want to run tests, but it’s just to be sure if he’s really okay. And he just feels free around them, around every monster. They’re more non-human than he is, he can be as abnormal as he wants with no worries!
The scariest part was dealing with Sans because he was so unsettled by Danny falling instead of Frisk, but Danny’s contacting Clockwork to look into it. For a while, Sans’ distrust was the main reason why Danny avoided Snowdin, but soon after they had that talk, our pun-loving skeleton started giving him a chance and Danny started trusting him as well.
I can imagine him having a pretty serious talk with Asgore and saying that he doesn’t think humanity is ready for monsters. They’re obviously ready for the surface, and the surface is waiting, but Danny’s experience has left him with a distrust with his own government. This would stir up some of the Underground if it got out.
Oh, and you best believe people want to hear Danny talk about outer space! It starts at Grillby’s, just Danny telling Sans about the stars and then getting excited talking about it, which basically leads to this—
Danny: I really don’t think people realize just how big the whole universe is. I mean, the term “light year” exists for a reason! To measure the distance it takes for the speed of light to travel in an entire year! Speaking of years, isn’t it funny how—! Sorry, I got excited.
Sans: Don’t apologize for that, kid. Besides, I think your audience wants to hear more.
Danny: My audience?
Pretty much every monster in the bar: 👀
???: Yeah, keep going!
Also Toriel. I feel like she’d be absolutely horrified by the fact that Danny learned how to stitch his own wounds with his friends because it implies that his parents, his mother, wasn’t there to help.
Bonus; If Danielle is there, I think it’d be an interesting confrontation between Danny and literally anyone because he puts himself between Danielle and pretty much everyone. I think Papyrus would be all “Look, Sans! They’re like us, siblings!”

Undyne is actually such a tragic character because Asgore is her mentor/father figure and yet his mission is what gets her killed. Out of all the boss fights (besides Asgore himself) nobody is really serving his motive besides Undyne.
Toriel is trying to save you, Papyrus never wanted to hurt you in the first place, Mettaton is trying to get to the surface alone, Muffet wants money, Sans only fights if you kill everyone.
Undyne is undoubtedly closest to Asgore and yet he is the one who turns her into a weapon. She’s clearly very kind, willing to befriend the human when Papyrus vouches for them and she’s very sweet towards Alphys. But her priorities are skewed to please Asgore, to die for him. Such a compassionate monster who wants to save innocent lives, she just isn’t the one who controls her power.
She wants to die his daughter :(

To Hold A Child And See Them As Your Own - An Undertale Yellow Fic
Ceroba time loop au - "in sakuras and flame."
(Inspired by in stars and time)
---
Ceroba Ketsukane was nothing if not a patient woman.
She had raised and taught Kanako for as long as she could remember, even though Chujin didn't help nearly as much as she would have liked due to the fact that he was constantly busy with his job at the steamworks.
She had dutifully and devotedly taken care of her ailing husband after he had "retired", even when she had to assist him with eating or, on particularly awful days, sitting up right on the bed.
She had waited and waited for a painfully long amount of time for a human pure of heart and mind to walk into the dunes - all so she could claim their soul for herself and set out to fufill Chujin's legacy.
The same legacy he had entrusted her with.
The same legacy that drove her to slaughtering her own innocent, beloved daughter.
But now?
Her nearly infinite patience was wearing thin.
----
Chujin had always had an extremely negative view on humanity as a whole.
He thought of them as selfish, cruel beings with not an ounce of love, hope, or compassion within their bodies. Beings that would do anything in their power to dominate and oppress those they deemed lesser.
Ceroba disagreed with Chujin when it came to most subjects at this point, but this one in particular..
Struck a nerve.
Her eyes were bloodshot, exhaustion evident in every single vein popping through her retina, as she looked over the corpse of a dead child with a SOUL that was full of justice and kindness and the exact antithesis of everything Chujin had spouted to her throughout the years.
A corpse she had seen so many times.
She remembered feeling emotional, once; before she had lost count of the number of loops it had been, before she had grown accustomed to the surge of determination that seemed to envelop her very SOUL before she was dragged back to that fateful day.
But now, the sight of the little cowpoke, brown hair tousled from all the battles they were forcibly dragged into despite being a little kid, checkered bandana ripped and torn at the edges, hat speckled with dust showcasing just how long and difficult of a journey they had endured until the bitter end..
Had become mundane.
She had tried. Fuck, she had tried to find a better, brighter future - one where Clover got to live happily underground for the rest of their life, surrounded by the people that loved them unconditionally and that would protect them from anyone who tried to lay a finger on them.
She had even come close to it, on some occasions - loops where she had insisted that Clover stay with her back in the Wild East, where they could visit their Uncle Starlo and participate in his silly roleplay with the Feisty Four whenever they wanted, and even hang out with their Auntie Martlet whenever she remembered the plans they had made earlier in the week.
But.
Whenever she had gone to chech in on them in K- their new room, she always discovered the window tilted open, a note lying on the dresser.
A note that always read..
'To Cero
To Martl
To Sta
To whoever finds this first,
I'm sorry.
It just.. don't feel right that I get to live peacefully down here while the other children had to die.
I'm going to get justice for them. One way or another.
Don't come after me. A..friend showed me some shortcuts to get to King Asgore as fast as possible.
Goodbye.'
And a note that always left her weeping and sobbing - whether it be as she sprinted to New Home as fast as she possibly could, knowing full well the entire time that she would be too late, too late - or whether it be as she simply kneeled beside the bedside drawer, mourning and lamenting a future that never was.
Slowly, she approached the corpse, and cradled it in her arms - just like how she used to rock Kanako to sleep after a dreadful nightmare, cooing and shushing her lovingly as she did so.
She brought them close to her chest and nuzzled their hair with her muzzle, tears beginning to slowly trickle down her pained, tired eyes and land on their head of hair.
"Clover," she began.
She didn't know what else to say.
What IS there to say, to someone whom you have come to love and adore as family across millions of timelines, but whom seems to be doomed by fate itself?
...Ah. she knew.
"Mom loves you." She whispered, hugging them even tighter, "Mom..loves..you.." She managed to choke out through tears.
She sniffled, before looking them directly in their hazel-brown eyes, "I'll..I'll find a way to save you, honey. Even if it's the last thing I do."
"In the meantime.."
A surge of undying resolve, a DETERMINATION to change fate once more and save her child.
"Please..stay determined, okay?"
And then she woke up in her bed.
---
Chat should I include a "what if clover did a vengeance run in one loop"? 😊

It's very sweet that Sans and Toriel hadn't like properly met each other before, but when they did they immediately clicked and started joking together and becoming best friends. They became such a duo like immediately.
They were technically NOT on a long-distance relationship (as in either platonic or romantic), but their situation was very unique. In the end there wasn't really an awkwardness or anything, straight to puns.
They probably talked so much about life and stuff, even if they didn't share names. Sans did talk about his brother, literally the most distrusting guy alive telling this mysterious lady about his dear little brother.
I really am hoping to see them a lot more in deltarune because I just need more of their dynamic, hopefully that doesn't cost Asgore and Toriel reconciling to much! We didn't get to see Toriel and Asgore becoming amicable in Undertale besides the ONE cutscene in the credits and brieeefly on the alarm clock - I hope we get to see them in a good place in DR a bit earlier! (Though that's probably not happening that soon..).
BECAUSE IMAGINE ASGORE AND SANS FRIENDSHIP THOUGH, Asgore finds Sans very funny, they would get along great actually, it's just the awkwardness factor of Toriel between them, but if everyone reconciled it would be an amazing dynamic right there. I don't think Sans has any strong feelings towards the guy, but Asgore is still very much not over Toriel which is probably related to his life going to shit, I HOPE THINGS TURN OUT WELL FOR HIM!!
I just want everyone to get alooong.
