lmaoooo maffhew wanting the knot immediately and having to wait for sasha to catch up with that is so deeply funny like. this omega is not subtle and you’re not a stupid alpha babe! can only imagine what benny has to say to maffhew about it once he catches on and stops banging his head against a wall
idiots to lovers is always great but especially when its two people who would be hitched with 10 kids by now if they stopped being dumb for a single second like its that easy and yet...
to me they very much fall around the same time (infatuation at first scent if you will) just that sasha takes some time to get there not because he's dumb (okay he's a little dumb) but in the sense that its like "this person is very interested in me, i can see and recognise that but theres so much cognitive dissonance in my brain right now between knowing that intrinsically and finding that hard to believe so i unintentionally play dumb because obviously i'm reading too much into things it cant be me they're interested in haha that'd crazy but they're being awfully touchy and flirty with me wow"
but also it takes two to tango and we have to acknowledge that and this is when i would love to bring up the ways in which this man decides is the best way to go about that because he is a catholic school girlie... there's so much hilarity to be had here especially because his flirting is very uh how you say... a little ass backwards if you will especially considering dynamics
"I make it a point to keep the door closed when we're alone in a room together! That's basically a clear invitation that I'm down to fuck!!! Im basically asking to be ragdolled on his knot!!!"
and Benny just pinches the bridge of his nose like "I don't know how to explain to you in a way you'll understand that not everyone went to Catholic school."
But saying that Sasha does side-eye the door knob heavily when Maffhew goes over to close it the first time and he starts sweating like he just got dragged into a game of 7 Minutes in Heaven he did not sign up for and he's 13 again and oh god he got paired with a really cute girl, and he hasn't even had his first real kiss yet and-
And then absolutely nothing happens because Maffhew is just waiting with a polite expectant smile (because his work here is done, he did the heavy lifting know it's Sasha's turn) and this is when Sasha's dynamic classes training kicks in and he basically scolds himself for even assuming in the first place because this is clearly a show of trust (correct) not an invitation for extra circular activities (incorrect buzzer noise) and it basically becomes "This Omega really trusts me, I'm honoured especially as Pack Leader that I'm able to be so accepted into such a private space with the inherent knowledge that I will not encroach their boundaries whatsoever because consent is verbal, this is not in any way an invitation to take advantage of them this is deep platonic trust I will guard with my life :]"
and if you listen closely you can hear the lovely sounds of Maffhew bashing his head into a wall about how much of a gentleman Sasha is but also COME ONNNNNN... you know... once Maffhew realises what's happening which (looks at my watch) is not due for another few months really
Battle of wills: unstoppable force (maffhews catholic school understanding of dynamic interactions) vs immovable object (overseas alpha cotillion classes)
And if you think it's an Oh! An overseas dynamic thing! It's not. The Euros are watching the horrible car crash in front of them and doing absolutely nothing about it because it's none of their business, but they will stare at it... maybe judge it a bit but definitely are observing from the tall grass.
and I'm also not saying that luosty lundy forsy and bobby have a current running bet of how long it'll take for maffhew to break sasha in but i'm also not not saying that... luosty goaded lundy in the midst of a gossip session ("It has to be 3 months, right?) forsy happened to be around so lundy turned to him for advice ("7 months.") and maybeeee bobby overheard from all the way over from his stall and puts in his two cents for what it's worth ("6. Captain nice but not that nice. Very impatient." "So 3!" "No. Impatience makes him double the time, and wait longer. 6 months.") (lundy finally settles on a good 5 months because he's indecisive)
And Sasha does eventually pick up everything maffhew is throwing down... eventually... and when he does it becomes more so I want to court this omega the way they deserve I will take this slow and romance them sweetly :) *smash cut to maffhew caterwauling like a cat in heat*
but also once again its not like maffhew is helping sasha in any way this is idiot4idiot and benny would like to enjoy the car crash with the euros but unfortunately that's his soulmate, thats his bestie, his littermate from birth who has been weaned on the same teat as they climbed over each other to get to it, the first girl you kissed in your childhood bedroom because somehow you started play fighting on the bed because she was like i could totally pin you down easy and then she does and you always noticed how beautiful she was but shes even more gorgeous when she's pinning your wrists to your hannnah montana duvet you promised yourself youd changed out before she came over but you forget and well she teased you about it and you cant help but giggle about how perfect this all is and it seems that the natural conclusion to this is to taste the strawberry lipgloss of her lips because whats a kiss between besties huh its tacky and sticky and it tastes like summer and just other apt metaphors to put here about the inherent -isms of their relationship that i nearly cant put to words properly other than girls having fun (they are fucking)
and well anyways benny is watching and he has a lot of things to say about how its been proceeding so far
"You should really use your words."
"I am!"
"Right because smelling like a fucking perfume shop in the middle of October is using your words."
"This usually works with most Alphas okay!"
"Sasha isn't most Alphas."
"Tell me about it." Matthew grouses before he peeks over to Sam, looking up from beneath his eyelashes—the exact way he knows both endears him to Sam but also absolutely miffs him all the same, "Worked on you, didn't it?"
"Oh, is that what we're doing right now? We're calling getting a lapful of a preening O in preheat in the middle of a roadie a normal way to go about these things."
"It worked didn't it?" Matthew reiterates.
"It would work better if you use—"
"Okay! Alright!! I get it!!!" He does not.
like benny here is unfortunately an active listening participant in the going ons of the fuckery if not because hes involved by proxy because of maffhew because who else will hold his hair back as he calls him a dumb bitch you know
#ask#i dont think we nearly take enough advantage of maffhew going to a catholic prepatory school#my friend who went to catholic schooling his whole life until highschool (where we met) dropped the bombshell of the door thing on me#to which i went you have to be fucking with me that cant be real and then i was like well i guess its good we're both boys then-#and then he goes oh my mom knows im queer the rule applies to boys too#and i just nervously looked over to the door knob like well uh maybe we should open the door? i dont want your mom to be mad-#and he was like oh shes convinced we've been fucking since we met so this is allowed youre the only boy she lets do this (the door thing)#a couple of years later when he moved out i found out friends weren't allowed over if he was alone in the house but i was the only exceptio#and i felt like the equivalent of a roving tomcat who keeps wandering into the gardens and got the neighbours cat daisy pregnant#i dont think i could ever look that woman in the eye after all that#this is all to say catholic schooling does things to you man#anyways i do have to reiterate every kitty is fucking each other on a normal basis and in an abo au it gets even worse#making our whorehouse a whorehome#ive always said this but flirting with a virgo is like flirting with a brickwall#actually thatd be an insult to the brickwall because at least the brickwall would give you something to work with#the humble virgo looks you in the eyes before they crush your ego with a single word and youre like thank you mistress may i have another#i feel for maffhew i really do#theres just so many funny ways this just goes terribly wrong because both maffhew and sasha are inherently messy people#matthew and sasha on a team outing sat next to each other in a booth and matthew gets a little tipsy and starts rubbing his cheek#on sashas shoulder and sasha is just looking over to benny like please. help. and benny just snorts and blatantly ignores#him as he continues to sip on his beer and sasha just turns to ekky and silently pleads with his eyes. PLEASE. HELP.#ekky huffs and looks away very much not thrilled about being involved in any form whatsoever and hes not gonna change his mind about this#*5 minutes later* and ekky finds himself switching spots with sasha with a cuddly maffhew on his arm and he's a little disgruntled about it#but its very hard to stay upset when maffhew keeps mumbling about how nice he smells and keeps trying to scent him#all over like he has any right to lay a claim when hes been in the pack for such a short time#and yeah okay maybe he preens a little bit at the compliment like just a little#and maybe he does like being treated like a glorified scratching post but matthew doesnt need to know that (matthew knows that)#well anyways

“DIMPLES ARE SO CUTE!”
ೃ࿐ EREN YEAGER X FEM!READER
summary: eren only shows his dimples around you.
warnings: eren has dimples, fluff, mentions of spicey things (girls teasing girls ykyk), erens very stoic around people he’s not close with.
-
“can you imagine jean having dimples, mikasa? i mean that would boost his ego too much.” annie laughed as you all sat around armins house.
your friend group had decided to have one big hangout! currently, the girls were sitting in the basement catching up on gossip while the boys went out to get stuff for a barbecue later.
“he still looks insanely good annie, can YOU imagine your boyfriend having dimples?” mikasa retorted back as the rest of us girls laughed.
“at least he’s good in bed-”
“hey, y/n, you like guys with dimples right?” sasha questioned as she downed a can of root beer.
“who doesn’t? dimples are so cute!” you said as the girls agreed.
“historia loves me and my freckles, dimples ain’t got nothing on us.” ymir pulled historia to her chest who only giggled and nodded.
you smiled at the two, they were so cute it drove you nuts. but at the moment, you remembered something about your crush and a feature you noticed about him.
“wait, eren has dimples guys!” you said with a smile on your face like you’d just solve the biggest mystery on earth.
the girls narrowed their eyes at you and then turned their attention to mikasa, who was a bit confused as well.
“don’t look at me, i can’t remember ever noticing eren having dimples. you sure y/n?”
“i swear, just wait till he gets back and look closely! you can see them.”
“she’s so in love she’s imaging eren with her favourite features a guy can have.” historia mocked and you rolled your eyes.
“i swear by it.”
mikasa laughed at your words as the girls listened closely to this newfound information.
“sure you do, i’ve known eren my whole life and i dont ever really see any prominent dimples on his face.”
“mika, let’s also remember she’s heavily obsessed with him. of course she noticed these things.” sasha joined in on the teasing as you groaned.
“fine, maybe you guys are right about the dim-”
“right about what?” jean asked as he, armin, and connie walked into the room with drinks and snacks.
“it’s girl talk, jean.” armin said while putting stuff down on a near coffee table before taking a seat on the couch annie sat at.
“well let me in on it!” jean pestered mikasa as he also joined her on the couch also.
“sasha! of course you ate my favourite chips bro.” connie whined as he noticed the chip bag he brought was in her hands and was now devoured by Sasha’s uncontrollable need for food.
“shut up connie!”
“anyways, we were talking about how y/n says she believes eren has dimples.” historia brought the conversation back and now everyone was listening intently.
“that mean bastard? doubt he could have something as attractive as dimples on his cold, ugly face.” jean said as he emphasized the last few words in a mocking way while mikasa slapped his arm.
armin paused and thought about it before speaking. “actually, he might. i think i almost saw his dimples once but he turned away from me, so i couldn’t see them.”
“see!” you smiled in victory and stood up to grab a coke can but before you could, a hand swooped and grab it right out of your reach. the person raised it above their head.
“don’t mind me, i’m really in the mood for some coke.” the person you guys had been talking about for a while finally arrived, eren.
and god damn, he looked too good even though you saw him thirty minutes ago. somehow, he manages to just get more attractive in your eyes day by day.
“eren, i was gonna have that actually so hand it over.” you smiled and reached to grab it, the visible height difference between you two causing troubles.
your friends went silent as they watched you bicker with each other. they had all been rooting for you two to get together, for a while now. you had easily fallen for him, what you didn’t know as of right know is that he fell harder.
although, one thing that made the whole groups jaws drop was the prominent dimples that appeared through eren’s smile as he looked down at you, his green eyes seeming brighter as he teased you and laughed.
“no fucking way.” annie whispered and nudged armin who only stared at the two with a smile on his face.
“shit man, turns out he does have something as cool as dimples on his face.” jean sighed and leaned into mikasa’s shoulder who only let out a chuckle at that.
truth is, mikasa knew eren had dimples. but, she only saw them when eren was around you or when he talked about you with a smile on his face.

Nothing exciting

The mess hall was a cacophony of clanging silverware and low conversations, the air thick with the scent of fried onions and meat. Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Sasha, Connie, Jean, Ymir, Reiner, and Krista sat at their usual table, their eyes trained on you and Levi, who were sitting a few tables away. They had been watching you both ever since they had seen the scene at the stables, and now they couldn't help but wonder how long it had been going on for. The group had spent the better part of the last few days speculating about the nature of your relationship, with each member offering their own unique theories.
There was you, with your playful demeanor and unabashed affection. It was like a breath of fresh air in the otherwise stuffy environment. And Levi? Well, he was the strong, silent type; the rock upon which the survey corps relied.
The interactions between the two of you were fascinating to watch. Even the most casual of glances or gestures seemed to carry a weight of meaning that the others didn't quite understand. The way you both would sneak a touch or a quick brush of fingers against each other's arms as you passed one another, was enough to send the more observant scouts into a frenzy of speculation.
Sasha leaned in, her voice low but curious. "I wonder if they've been hiding this from us all this time," she mused. "They've always seemed so close, but I never would have guessed..." She trailed off, lost in thought.
As they continued to watch, Krista couldn't help but smile whenever she saw you both stealing a moment of privacy, or when Levi would blush and avert his gaze at one of your more forward advances. The air seemed charged with an electricity that was palpable even from across the room. Her curiosity getting the better of her, "Do you think they've been dating long?"
Reiner shrugged, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Hard to say, really. They've always been pretty close. You remember, back when we first joined up? They were inseparable even then." He turned back to his meal. "It would be reasonable to assume they have been hiding it all this time."
Armin, who had been listening quietly to the conversation, piped up. "I heard they grew up together in the underground," he said, his tone thoughtful. "They must have some pretty deep history between them, and their reasons for keeping things quiet, it isn't unusual given the nature of this line of work for them to be cautious."
Mikasa couldn't help but wonder how you must feel during the times when the scouts were beyond the walls. It was one thing to be apart for a few days or weeks, but when the missions lasted for months at a time. The thought made her heart ache for you just a little.
Ymir decided to chime in with a suggestive joke. "There must be something about the miserable bastard that makes her like him. Maybe he's packing." she says suggestively, earning a few chuckles from the others. "You guys are at the stables this afternoon, right? You'll have to tell us if anything exciting happens." She adds, looking over at Krista and Armin.
The mess hall emptied out, and the scouts went about their business. Some to train, others to muck out the stables or tend to the horses.
You were in your element when you were around the horses. You had a way with them that was both gentle and firm, earning their trust and respect without fail. The soldiers looked up to you, admiring your knowledge and your dedication. You were strong, capable, and unapologetically yourself.
Which is why it seemed so unusual when Hange stopped by and told you to be careful around the horses, "Don't push yourself too hard and to make sure to gave the soldiers more work to do." Their words were softly spoken, meant only for you, but they carried weight nonetheless. Krista and Armin overhead the conversation and quickly averted their gaze, looking at one another with the same questionable look. Hearing you insist that you were fine and not to worry. It wasn't long before the captain himself made an appearance, walking straight over to you, his expression softening but still relaying something that only you seemed to understand as you sighed at him, leaving the stables.
After mucking out the stalls and exercising the horses, Krista was keen to hop into the showers. As she turned the corner, she let out a sigh of frustration as she approached the bathroom door, an out of order sign taped to it. Her heart sank. "Great," she muttered under her breath. The alternative facilities weren't as nice or warm as the main showers they would have to do. With a sigh, she decided to brave the less-frequented bathroom at the other wing end of the building.
As she approached the familiar bathroom door, she could hear muffled sounds coming from within. Curious, she placed her ear against the wood, and she heard someone retching violently, followed by the sound of someone vomiting into the toilet. She quickly knocked on the door. There was no reply, so she knocked again, a little harder this time. "Excuse me, are you okay in there?" She asked, concerned.
The sound of the door swinging open made her jump. Your face was pale and clammy, "Oh, hi Krista," your voice soft. "I didn't expect anyone else to be here. The water in here is always cold, you know that, right?" You wiped your mouth with the back of your hand, a blush creeping across your cheeks.
Krista swallowed hard, her heart still racing. "Are you okay?" she asked concerned, her voice barely above a whisper. She couldnt help but notice that you were wearing your casual clothes, and the faint outline of a bump was visible beneath your shirt. Her eyes widened, the conversation between you and Hange at the stables, the captains attitude towards you still doing strenuous activities all made sense very quickly.
You smiled at her realisation, "Well, I'm not feeling my best right now, but I'll be fine." You paused, leaning against the door frame. "And I guess this means the cat is out of the bag." You chuckle to yourself.
"Look, Krista, there's something I need you to promise me." Your voice taking on a gentle but serious tone. "You can't tell anyone about this, you understand?" You gestured to your midsection, your fingers grazing the fabric of your shirt. "My uniform just about hides it for now, I know it won't be long before it's too obvious. But it would just be easier to keep things quiet for as long as possible. You know how it is around here, people talk." You explain.
Krista nodded. "I-I won't say anything, I promise." She bit her lip, feeling both honoured that you trusted her with the information, still completely shocked.
"Thank you, Krista." You reply relieved, "I don't know what I'm going to do. The survey corps isn't exactly known for its family-friendly policies." Your brow furrowed, and you ran a hand through your hair, tugging at the roots as you let out an exasperated sigh.
Krista nodded understandingly, not used to seeing you like this. Her usual passion began to shine through in an effort to be supportive and positive about the situation. A baby was surely a wonderful thing. "I'm sure there's got to be a way to make it work. You're a valuable member of the team. We need you here! and I'm sure Captain Levi will do whatever it takes to make it all work out to-" She bit her lip, hesitant before continuing, realising she had just assumed Levi was the father, confirming your previous comment about how people gossip around the headquarters. "It is Levi's, right?" She asked, blushing furiously, her voice barely above a whisper. Your face lit up, and you smiled at the mention of Levi's name as you let out a small giggle.
"Is it that obvious, huh?" You ask, slightly embarrassed that your relationship with the captain seems to have become common knowledge, you had both done such a good job of hiding it for so long. "That's one of the reasons I need you to keep it between us. You know how he is." You say, rolling your eyes playfully "He can be a real pain about our private life. Hange knowing makes him nervous enough." You chuckle.
Krista smiles sweetly and nods, "How did Captain Levi take it?" she finally asks, her voice curious, the question was burning in the back of her mind and she knew if she didn't ask now, she would never find out. The smaller details and intricacies of your relationship were fascinating to her. Having watched from afar all these months.
You hesitated for a moment, then smiled, it wasn't like you had been able to share this news with many people. "He was... surprised, at first," you chuckled. "But once he got over the shock, he was actually really happy. He's been so supportive, you know? I know he doesn't come accross as the fatherly type, but I know... I know he'll be a great dad." You said affectionately, resting a hand on your small bump. Krista smiled brightly, reaching out to take your other hand and squeezing it lightly.
"Congratulations, that's amazing, really! And a little scary, too, I imagine." She said thoughtfully. "But when you're ready, everyone will support you. Of that I'm certain." She said in an effort to reassure you. You smiled at her "Thank you, Kris. I appreciate it."
The next morning, as the group walked past the stables, Krista saw you sat down, leaving the more strenuous tasks to the cadets, Levi by your side drinking tea quietly, keeping an eye on you no doubt. You smiled sweetly as your eyes met hers, and you gave her a knowing wink. She smiled back at you, Ymir raised an eyebrow. "What was that about?" Krista shook her head, "Nothing exciting."

“A pint, please. Thanks.” You smile at the bartender as you slide forward five pounds. You stand and wait patiently, leaning against the bar as he shuffles away to go fill up a tall glass of beer.
You hear your name being said from next to you. You turn to see a familiar girl with olive skin and long, silky black hair. Your brain takes a few seconds to compute who it is.
“Sasha! Hey,” You grin and she smiles brightly. “Hi. I didn’t know if it was you or not,” She chuckles and you stand there awkwardly, not sure of what to say.
“How’s life?” She asks. “Uhh, good. Can’t complain.” You shrug as the bartender slides you the beer across the counter. You take a sip as she nods.
“Same here. Just a little terrified of the fact that we are going to be seniors in a year,” She runs a hand through her hair with a sigh. “Me too, girl.” You nod in agreement.
“How was your summer?” Sasha asks. You let out a sigh unintentionally before fixing your facial expression.
“It was… good,” You nod slowly, almost trying to convince yourself. “I don’t know if you know but…There’s a rumor going around that you and Farleigh had somewhat of a summer fling,” She winces after she says this.
“Oh God,” You press a hand to your forehead and shake your head. “Who told you that?” You groan.
“I’m assuming it came from Felix. I’m not sure, but I just wanted to tell you…” She places a hand on your shoulder comfortingly. “If you ever need to talk or anything like that, let me know.” She says, her English accent soft and elegant.
She seems almost too nice. You’ve never seen Sasha like this, so it’s hard to believe.
“Thank you.” You dip your head and take another sip of beer. “I know I was never the nicest to you and we were never close, but I’m here for you.” Her hand falls from your shoulder gently.
“I think I was honestly just threatened by you,” She continues. You jerk your head towards her quickly and furrow your eyebrows.
“What? Why?” You scoff as if it’s absurd. “I always had this… gut feeling that he was in love with you or something. He would talk about you nonstop, about how much you annoyed him and how much he ‘hated you.’ I knew better,” She shakes her head.
“Oh. Shit. I’m sorry,” You feel bad, suddenly. Like you were the cause of their relationship problems.
“But that whole thing is over now,” You wave your hand dismissively. “He’s an asshole, isn’t he?” You both giggle at her words.
“He is. I can see why you broke up with him,” You nod, feeling no remorse for talking about Farleigh this way. It’s all true. But you also know Sasha had a lot to do with the shitty parts of their relationship.
“I’ll see you around, yeah?” She grins and holds up her hand, giving a tiny wave. “Yeah. See you,” You watch her walk away before turning back to your drink, grabbing it and heading to find an empty table.
You sigh, leaning down and fishing your textbook out of your bag. You still have four chapters to read before tomorrow. The first term of your junior year is kicking your ass, even though it’s only October.
Sooner or later, you see Felix walking through the entrance of the pub. You immediately crane your neck to search for any signs of Farleigh, since he usually follows Felix around. But thankfully, he’s not anywhere to be found.
You turn your attention back to your textbook, and when you glance back up, Felix is sitting across from you.
“Hey.” He smiles and you notice the cigarette between his fingers. “Hi. How are you?” You reply, not exactly in the mood to talk to him right now.
“Oh, you know. Just drowning in work,” He sighs and leans back in his chair, throwing his head back slightly.
“You and me both,” You chuckle lightly and close your textbook, knowing you won’t get anything read so long as Felix is here. He leans forward again and takes a drag from his cigarette.
“So…” He starts, trailing off. You raise your eyebrows. “So?”
“Are you and Farleigh ever going to make up?” He asks suddenly. You cough, surprised by the abrupt question.
“No.” You shake your head. “Don’t even try it, Felix.” You roll your eyes and he groans. “Please, we don’t even get to hang out much anymore because you’re avoiding him,” He whines.
“Then just… arrange a time to hang out with me when Farleigh isn’t there.” You grimace at the feeling of his name in your mouth. Felix facepalms. “C’mon. Look, I don’t know what happened between you two, but…”
“It sounds like you think you know what happened.” You narrow your eyes and he seems confused. “What?” He tilts his head.
“Lola told me you’re spreading rumors. Like, that Farleigh and I had some fling over the summer,” You explain, and he glances down like he’s been caught, before looking back up with amusement twinkling in his eyes.
“What, you thought no one would hear you two fucking at one in the morning? You guys were so loud, it’s like you wanted to be caught,” He chuckles and shakes his head. Your face burns beet red with embarrassment.
“I don’t judge you for it. I just didn’t expect it,” He says. “Okay, but that doesn’t mean you go telling everyone about it,” You reply.
“I didn’t mean to. I told one person in confidence.” Felix says. “You know you can’t trust these people to keep things to themselves,” You shake your head in disappointment.
“Okay, I’m sorry. But I think Farleigh really wants to talk to you.” He says, his tone persuasive and you immediately cringe.
“I’m not talking to him. Nothing will come of it,” You finish off your beer and set the glass on the table decisively.
“I just don’t want our friendship to be messed up because of this.” He says, sounding a bit sad. You look back up to him and see him glancing down at his lap.
“We’re good. It doesn’t have anything to do with you.” It comes off harsher than you meant it to, but Felix doesn’t seem to mind. “I can’t just forgive and forget, you know?”
He nods. “Yeah. Alright, then. Just consider talking to him. I’ll see you later, mate.” He drums his fingers on the table before standing up and walking to the bar. You sigh and decide to pack up your things after checking your watch and seeing the time. It’s getting late.
You stand up and grab your bag, slinging it over your shoulder. You walk out of the pub and down the cobbled streets while looking around and just observing the several groups of students, chatting loudly or laughing. The chilly autumn breeze tosses around crimson and golden leaves.
You go over your plans for the remainder of tonight in your head. You’re going to get back to your dorm, take a shower, then get the rest of your work done. That is, if you don’t procrastinate like you usually do.
You enter your dorm building and then stop in your tracks when you see him standing there, at the bottom of the stairs. It’s like you have a full body reaction to him standing in front of you, sending a chill down your spine and making your stomach churn. He doesn’t speak, he just stares at you. You step forward, walking up the stairs and completely ignoring him. “Can we please talk?” Farleigh calls your name.
“No, we can’t.” You respond, your tone harsh and bitter. You hear footsteps coming up the stairs behind you and you increase your pace, trying to get to your door and unlock it before he can catch up to you. But it’s no use, he’s already standing there behind you.
“Please. Just let me talk to you,” He begs. You shake your head. “Farleigh, I already know how this is going to go. You don’t talk.” You can’t even stand to look at him, even addressing him is difficult after all these months of not speaking.
“I’m going to talk. I swear. Please,” He pleads. “Fine,” You groan with exasperation as you unlock your door, although you’re sort of curious as to what he’s going to say.
He closes the door behind him and you go to sit on the edge of your bed after setting your things down and kicking off your shoes, looking at him expectantly. “Okay, talk.”
“I’m sorry. For everything.” Farleigh says, and it surprisingly sounds sincere. “I’m sorry for being a dick to you all these years. And those things I said at Saltburn, I didn’t mean any of it.” His voice is quiet and he looks down at the ground as he speaks. You blink a few times and take a moment to respond.
“Why would you say those things if you never meant them?” You ask, your own voice timid as you remember all the harsh and cruel words he said to you that one night.
“Did you mean it when you said you hated me and you wished we never met?” He fires back. You bite the inside of your cheek and avoid his gaze as regret washes over you. “...I never said–”
“Yes you did.” It’s silent and the tension in the air is palpable. It seems like you’re both waiting for who is going to speak next, but you aren’t exactly sure what to say.
“I just don’t understand why you’re so eager to apologize when you’ve literally hated me since the day we first met,” You chuckle sarcastically and shake your head. He falls silent, and when you glance back up to him, he looks nervous, like something’s on the tip of his tongue.
“That’s not… exactly true.” He mutters. “I never hated you. I’ve loved you since the moment I first saw you. That night at Saltburn, when Felix introduced us to each other. I saw you and I just felt… Something just came over me. I’d never felt it before. I mean, I was so captivated by you. I couldn’t sleep that night because I was thinking about you every second. And I was scared. I was so scared. So I was mean to you.”
He lets out a breath after his confession and you stare at him in disbelief. You’re barely processing anything he’s saying. Is this real? You feel like you should pinch yourself to make sure you’re not dreaming.
“And Felix never kept his friends around for long, so I knew I couldn’t get attached to you. I thought you were just passing by and that I would never see you again. But when you came back the next summer, then the next, and then you got into Oxford, I knew I was fucked.
“I just kept pushing my feelings down and instead of dealing with them, I was just… a bitch. I was trying to push you away and I was hoping that would get rid of my feelings. But it didn’t. And I regret it so, so much. I wasted all this time and I was being so stupid. I was just scared of love. I was scared of loving you.”
You feel tears welling up in your eyes and you can hear your heart pounding in your chest. You swear you can see tears in his own eyes.
“What about Sasha?” You ask when you finally gather yourself. “Really? You don’t know why I dated Sasha?” He chuckles a bit like it should be obvious. You shake your head no.
“I just needed someone to distract me. I got with all those people to fill the void. I mean, Sasha and I’s relationship was purely based off of sex. And every single time, I pictured that it was you instead of Sasha. I would close my eyes and imagine it was you. I think that was the only way I was able to get off,” He laughs. Your eyes widen at his words and your stomach flips. So that was why he was always moaning like a bitch?
“So when we finally… I freaked out. It was getting too real, and so I pushed you away again. And I said some shitty things.” You blink and a few tears fall. You don’t even know how to describe how you’re feeling right now. So many emotions are building inside of you, and they’re so dense and heavy, you’re not sure how to comprehend them.
“I’m so, so fucking sorry.” Farleigh seems to notice that you’re crying. “You didn’t deserve any of that. I’m a fucking idiot,”
Before you know it you’re off of your bed, crashing into him and sobbing against his chest. He wraps his arms around you, locking you in a tight embrace and enveloping you in his warmth. Your shoulders shake as you feel all the emotions pouring out of you. He holds you like he’s never going to let go. You don’t want him to let go. Ever.
“I’m so sorry,” He whispers your name into your hair. “I’ll never do that to you again.” He continues muttering these things to you as you let him hold you, melting into the hug.
You look up at him and his brown eyes are illuminated with affection. Something about him is different. He’s softer, unlike his usual cold and teasing personality.
He gently moves some hair out of your face and kisses your forehead, causing you to blush and smile softly.
“Why did we waste so much time when we could have been together?” You ask timidly, more of a rhetorical question. He sighs and tucks a strand of hair behind your ear.
“Cause we’re stupid,” He chuckles and you let out a quiet laugh. “It doesn’t matter now. We have the rest of our lives to make up for it,” He grins down at you and you smile against his hand that cups your face. He leans down and you tilt your head up to meet his lips. The kiss you share is slow and sensual, like you’re both trying to savor each other for as long as possible, like you’re making up for all those years of fabricated hatred. You can’t deny that you missed his lips and the way that he kisses, the way his tongue licks into your mouth. He pulls away after a minute.
“But I still feel like I need to make it up to you,” Farleigh’s expression changes and his voice lowers to that familiar deep and gravelly sound. You can see the lust in his eyes and you feel butterflies swarming in your stomach.
“What should I do for you, baby?” His hands snake down to your hips as he lowers himself slowly to the ground until he’s on his knees. Your heart races and you feel chills racing across your skin.
He looks up at you and you swear your knees almost give out from underneath you just at the sight. “Far..” You giggle shyly and feel your face burn red.
His fingers fiddle with the waistband of your skirt, almost teasing you and waiting until you ask him to take it off. But after a moment he’s pulling it down gently, and you step out of it gingerly and nudge it to the side with your foot.
He groans and his hands roam up and down your thighs. “You’re so perfect,” He mumbles as he hooks your lace panties under his fingers and pulls them down as well, almost hurriedly this time like he’s just that eager to eat you out until you’re sobbing for him.
Without any warning or time to prepare, his mouth is already on you, tasting you passionately with his tongue and moaning, the vibrations going straight to your core.
You moan breathlessly, your hand reaching down to tangle in his curly hair for something to ground you, and he seems to like this. He keeps letting out these small, needy whines like he’s the one getting devoured.
Every swirl and flick of his tongue has you whimpering like you’re in pain, your legs feeling unstable and weak. He sucks on your clit and you feel two of his fingers already inching their way inside, curling inside of you deliciously. It’s all too much and your breath has turned into short, high-pitched, desperate huffs.
“Please- Shit, Farleigh,” The third finger he inserts draws a long moan out of you. You don’t care if your neighbors hear you. You’re too lost in the pleasure that he’s giving you, with no drawbacks or regret looming in the future. When you think about how he just confessed his love for you, it only brings you closer to the edge of your beautiful release.
He laps up your slick, his tongue getting dangerously close to your entrance. You gasp for air as his fingers leave, only to be replaced by his tongue. You whine at the new feeling of his tongue deep inside of you, his thumb circling your clit. You feel your climax approaching, threatening to make you crumble and beg for mercy.
A deep and guttural groan leaves him as he continues fucking you with his tongue. “Far, I’m close-“ Your hand twists in his hair and you roll your hips against his face absentmindedly, almost like you’re stuck in a trance.
His tongue slips out of you, his nose nudging against your clit. Then, you’re gone. You feel like you’re floating, like you’re the only two people in the world right now, all your thoughts disappearing as that divine ecstasy shoots through your veins and melts your muscles and your bones.
He stands back up and takes you into his strong arms, cradling you as he brings you over to your bed, with occasional kisses along the way. You both pull away to tear off your clothes. You hurriedly pull off your sweater and your bra and toss them aside, hearing them land somewhere on the floor. Farleigh takes his own shirt off and his jeans, revealing that beautiful body you’ve subconsciously been dreaming of.
“Lay down,” You tell him with some sort of newfound confidence. You’ve never been on top before, but right now you want to pay him back and give him all that you have to offer.
“Mmm,” He hums in response, laying down on your small, twin-sized bed. You climb onto the bed and straddle him, feeling slightly nervous as his hands rest on your hips. You keep your hands on his chest as you grind your hips down onto him, feeling the form of him through his boxers.
He’s rock hard, and it only encourages you to continue to grind against him, rolling your hips smoothly and slowly. He whimpers and grips your hips harder, biting his lip. “Fuck, baby,” He moans, his hips bucking up slightly to meet yours.
You can’t wait anymore. You reach down and maintain eye contact as you slowly pull down his boxers, shuffling them down his legs.
It’s definitely intimidating, but you’re determined to ride him. He looks up at you. “Is this okay?” He asks, his hands returning to your hips. You nod. “Yeah,” You reply before rising up on your knees and adjusting yourself before sinking down onto him.
You wince at the delicious pain as your teeth sink into the plush of your bottom lip, his hands guiding you further down his length. A string of curses leave his lips once his whole cock is inside of you. He definitely missed this.
You place your hands on his chest again as you begin to drag your hips back and forth. He whimpers and whispers your name like a prayer. “That’s it, fuck-“ His grasp on your hips tighten and you can already guess that you’ll have bruises.
You rock your hips back and forth, creating a better pace for the two of you as he thrusts up into you. That pained look crosses his face again as you make eye contact. You’re completely enthralled by the sight of each other, a sheen of sweat forming on both of your foreheads. Your head falls back once you finally find the perfect angle that brings you such satisfaction, your jaw going slack. “Baby,” He begs, breathing heavily.
You feel yourself growing tired from the fast rhythm, and you slow down, still circling your hips on top of him. He seems to sense that you’re growing fatigued, so he flips the two of you over, switching your places. You’re dizzy and caught off guard, but you focus on his eyes as he takes over, slowly thrusting into you with long strokes.
Farleigh reaches down to grab your hand, intertwining your fingers together and holding on tightly. He lowers his head to pepper kisses across your forehead, your nose, your cheeks. He brushes some hair out of your face.
“I love you,” He mutters, his nose rubbing against yours. Your eyes widen at his words and your heart skips a beat. You squeeze his hand weakly and grin.
“I love you too,” You whisper back, feeling tears brimming in your eyes. “I love you so much,” You tell him, and he lets his head fall into the crook of your neck as he moans desperately, his thrusts faltering. Your other hand rests on the top of his head, stroking his curls. You both finish at the same time, whispering each other’s names and more confessions of love. It’s meaningful, beautiful, and sweet. Something you’ve craved but never experienced. That is, until now.
He collapses next to you and eventually pulls out of you, causing you to grunt just a bit. You lay there, your legs entangled with his and his arms around you protectively. He pulls the sheets over the two of you and continues to kiss you slowly with so much passion and affection.
Farleigh pulls away and swipes the tears off your cheeks, his gaze never leaving yours. You take his hand in yours once again and press your forehead against his.
“I could get used to this,” You whisper with a cheeky grin. He laughs softly. “Really?” He responds sarcastically, raising his eyebrows.
“Really.” You giggle quietly and he presses another kiss to your cheek. “I would consider spending the rest of my life with you,” He shrugs nonchalantly and you can’t seem to stop smiling. You don’t think you’ve ever been this happy in your life.
“You’d consider it? Woah, thanks,” You say with fake awe, gasping. “I’ve been considering it for a while, actually,” He mutters, running his fingers through your hair. “Have you?” You whisper, suddenly feeling sleepy. Everytime he holds you like this, it puts you right to sleep. You feel so safe and loved in his arms.
“Mhm.” His other hand rests on the small of your back and you feel your eyelids growing heavy. “I love you, Farleigh,” You whisper. “I love you too.” He replies, and with that, you drift off to sleep, with no cares or worries in the world, now that you’ve finally solved your problems with Farleigh. You’re so glad you gave him a second chance.
The next morning you wake up to Farleigh pulling you closer to him, nuzzling his head in your chest and groaning. You yawn and glance over to your bedside table, checking the time on your alarm clock. 9:42 AM.
Shit. You forgot about your class. It started at 9:30. Oh well. You groan and let your head fall back onto the pillow, rubbing your forehead. You pat Farleigh’s head, his curls sticking out at awkward angles but still managing to look cute.
You shiver and reach down to pull the duvet over yourself. He stirs at your movement and eventually, his dark brown eyes open.
A grin immediately appears on his face as he looks at you, taking in your appearance. Thank God you hadn’t worn makeup the day before. You were in your natural state, besides the messy hair. He traces his finger along your jawline and you smile, tilting your head.
“Good morning,” He wraps you up in his arms again, desperate to be close to you. His voice is deep and raspy. You’ll never get tired of his morning voice.
“Morning,” You reply, snuggling up to him and breathing in his scent. He kisses the top of your head and rubs your back soothingly.
“Do you know how many times I’ve dreamt about waking up next to you?” Farleigh asks. You giggle quietly. “Well, your wish came true,” You reply with a quick raise of your brows.
Suddenly, you remember what Lola said that one night at Saltburn as you think about you and Farleigh’s relationship over the years.
“Lola told me something a few months ago,” You start. “Mmm, and what was that?” He responds.
You inhale slowly. “She said that you were looking for me one morning and you came by our dorm, and you seemed very worried about me,” You smile at the thought, knowing what you know now.
“Oh. Yeah, I remember that. I was always worried sick about you. Whether you got home after a night out, if you drank too much, if some guy took advantage of you…” He trails off and sighs.
“Really?!” You ask, gazing up at him in shock. “You’re so confusing,” You let out a breathy laugh and shake your head.
“Do you remember our first night at Oxford? The very first party we went to?” He asks. You nod. He fiddles with a strand of your hair.
“After our little… argument, I stayed away from you the rest of the night. But then it was getting late, and I couldn’t find you, and I didn’t know if you knew the way back to your dorm. When I went into the bathroom I found you passed out on the floor. Black out drunk.” He explains, his voice soft.
“Anyone could have found you, or taken advantage of you. So I picked you up and carried you back to your dorm and tucked you into your bed.” Your eyes widen as your brain registers his words. Lola never told you about that.
“And when we were talking that night on the steps outside at Saltburn when we couldn’t sleep, the first summer you were there, you fell asleep on my shoulder. So I carried you up to your room.”
It’s silent for a minute as you process this. Was it a common theme for Farleigh to carry you to your bed when you were passed out?
“I never knew you cared that much.” You whisper, reaching up to play with one of his curls. “I don’t think I knew, either.” He mumbles.
You kiss him, slowly and gently, smiling against his lips. He grins, breaking the kiss, before holding the back of your head and guiding you back to him.
And you really believe that in this moment, you could die happy. You want to spend the rest of your life with him. The hot August nights, the freezing December mornings, the summer days under cerulean skies. The good days and the bad days. You can’t even remember how it felt to hate Farleigh. Every single trace of dislike for him is gone, erased completely from your heart. All that’s left is a love too strong to comprehend.

The darkness of the night embraced you as you watched the group of people outside. You had arrived a few minutes ago at the restaurant where Jack's birthday was being celebrated but you were still outside, undecided if you really wanted to go in.
In your hands you held the present you had bought for your friend, Jack, your legs shivered in the cold of the city (or out of anxiety about facing your biggest fear). Manchester was a cold city in winter surrounded by small snowdrops that adorned the surroundings and the houses in the neighborhood. You liked Manchester, the neighborhood reminded you of your daily trips to the city center.
Many feelings crossed your mind when you saw the picture in front of your eyes, your closest friends, Jack and Sasha hugging each other while you could see the others chatting and laughing around the table. But you could especially see the new couple at the side of the table with their backs to you, chatting animatedly.
Disappointment and sadness gripped your heart and you sighed wistfully looking at them. The reason for your hesitation in coming had clearly been because of them. To think that a few months ago it was you who was under their arms in that same situation but now everything had changed.
You perked up when you saw the birthday boy get up from the table and see you standing out there. Jack smiled cheerfully inviting you in with his hand, which you had to obey taking all your thoughts away. You walked through the door and the warmth of the place greeted you, plucking up the courage to take off the jacket you were wearing and start walking towards the group of people partying.
"Hello Jack" you greeted with a smile to the man who opened his arms welcoming you in a warm embrace.
"I was just about to send someone for you" he said wrapping his arms around you.
"The subway had a delay, I apologize for making you wait" you apologized sincerely.
The truth that dealing with the tube in Manchester was a bit busy these days and after work, there were usually delays or lots of people trying to get home and it got complicated.
"The boys could have come through for you, I told you to let me know and I'd arrange everything" he continued as he broke off.
"I'm already here" you laughed and lifted the gift to reach for it. Jack shook his head with a big smile thanking you.
"Y/n!" you heard a shout behind him. Sasha appeared with her splendid aura and that gleaming smile.
She hugged you tightly and behind her you could see a few faces turning to look at you, as her scream had caught the attention of a few. Shyly you smiled a little towards them, stroking Sasha's back.
"We were waiting for you" she mentioned taking you by the hand.
You felt a little bad, they were probably hungry and tired after training but they had been kind enough to wait for you, even when you were making time out there not to come in. Sasha led you in and sat you down between Ines and Isabel, who greeted you kindly when you joined them.
You had known everyone for a few years, you had been friends with Jack since high school and Sasha always invited you to games, practices and anything that included fun. You were very grateful to them, because they had been your friends forever.
"How have you been?" asked Ines interested.
"We haven't seen you for a few months" Isabel followed her.
"Work has me busy and I'm also applying for a promotion, I have to work hard" you said trying to sound happy.
On one hand it was true, on the other it was a lie. You had already received the promotion at your job and now you were on another schedule, something you had to work hard for but you were no longer going out with them or going to see Jack for another reason.
A reason that only you knew.
"When you get the promotion, you'll have to come back and hang out with us, we miss you" Isabel mentioned and you nodded smiling.
They were very nice to you, they all were. Even the girls that you didn't have much contact with or didn't know but because they were friends with Sasha they sometimes hung out together. They always came up to you and included you even though you were nobody to them.
Your eyes met the pair of brown eyes a few feet away from you, you quickly dodged their gaze pretending to see something else. Your heart broke into a thousand pieces. The hollowness in your chest echoed and you wanted to run away but you forced yourself to keep your posture.
Ruben Dias, was sitting a few feet away from you. He looked different from the last time you had seen him a few months ago, his hair was longer not to say long, his beard was a little darker, he had even changed his style of clothing. He looked beautiful, just as you remembered.
But now he was a complete stranger.
You stirred in your seat, turning to the girls to stop feeling their presence. But it was impossible.
How were you going to pretend you didn't know him when he was all you thought about? How were you going to get over him when you guys had never had anything? How were you going to act like everything was okay when next to him was a young, beautiful woman?
You took a sip from your glass, wine was something you had never liked before but after so much sadness and loneliness, you had started to drink often when you had slumps. So you hoped that at least chatting with the girls would take the focus off their presence. The conversation became more bearable and you listened to Ines talk to you about her pregnancy, her excitement was admirable and you were happy for her. But you were starting to feel more anxious as you felt the stares on you and the pressure in your chest for not being able to get over it. So after a while of chatting you excused yourself to go outside for some air.
You put your coat back on and your bag, opening the door of the restaurant to go out into the silence. You walked down the sidewalk waving to them as they saw you smile and you reached into your purse. You grabbed the box of cigarettes and the lighter, bringing one to your mouth to light it. You had quit smoking a few months ago but lately your vices had returned and you blamed it on your depression and anxiety, something you were treating with your therapist but still couldn't quit.
The sensation of the nicotine in your system made you shiver and tears threatened to spill from your eyes. You quickly wiped them away as they slid down your cheeks.
Thoughts came snatching back against your mind when you heard Ruben's laughter above all others. Something inside you stirred and made you vibrate. He sounded just like you remembered, manly, strong and warm. And then you knew you weren't over him.
You weren't over Ruben Dias and you weren't sure if you ever could be.
How were you going to explain to your heart that you weren't who you used to be? How were you going to trick your heart into telling him that you never had anything serious? How could you believe that he could ever be in love with you? When you had clearly been a distraction to him.
Because that's how you remembered your relationship with Ruben. A distraction. Only for you it never had been.
It all started when he broke up with his last girlfriend, you already knew each other but you weren't really friends. Jack started to invite him more to your get-togethers, he even tried to get you two to go out but he was just getting out of a relationship and you weren't interested in going out at that time. But you began to grow closer with every time you saw each other, chatting animatedly and then meeting up to get to know each other. Coffee mornings, tea afternoons and delicious dinners. Which led to one thing leading to another and after so many outings together, you slept together.
You had both agreed not to tell your friends, it was obvious it had been a one time thing but then you kept doing it over and over again. Not once, not twice. You met when you could, two or three times a week, at his place or yours. Big mistake. You should have put a stop to it when you could but you decided to keep going and thought this would last.
And now you definitely regretted it.
You had really believed that Ruben would choose you. You had really believed that he would fall in love and you would be together forever. You had been deluded. You thought you guys would live in a princess fairy tale, that you had found your prince charming and all that crap.
You had never pretended that he saw you as a girlfriend, you weren't like that. But you didn't think he saw you as anyone else either. You knew he wasn't ready for that yet, he had come out of a relationship of years but at least you believed you had something real. He looked real next to you.
But now you were in a gray story, where there were no good mornings or good nights, only endless days where the only thing you wanted was to erase all your feelings for him and disappear.
Because you really fell in love with him. You had spent the whole summer seeing each other on the sly but when winter came, it was all over. Winter brought disappointment, sadness and coldness.
You hated to admit that you had fallen in love and that the idiot had been you, believing that you had something serious when you had only been a friend to Ruben. A friend he used when he needed and discarded when he found someone else. Because that's how you felt, abandoned and dirty, like you were the plague itself. There was no explanation, no reason, he couldn't even tell you to your face. He just sent a message saying you couldn't see each other anymore and then ignored any sign of you, leaving you to lie in wait with all your feelings.
But it was your fault.
You had made up this story all by yourself. There was no love, no reciprocity. You were just his fuck buddy, the one he had left with his heart on his sleeve and broke it when a week after ignoring you he showed up with his new girlfriend. A famous, gorgeous, brand name model, good body and emotional stability, everything you had been lacking. Definitely the perfect person he had replaced you with.
You were embarrassed and humiliated to come here tonight, knowing he would be here. That's why you had stopped going to games and dinners, excusing yourself with anything. You couldn't even look him in the eye without thinking how stupid you were to try to fix things between you. Which you couldn't do because he had never seen you otherwise, just his distraction when he needed it most. And you had really come to think that he was in love with you because of how he looked at you, how he pampered you, how he took you to fancy and nice places, because every morning he woke up next to you and made you breakfast, because you ran away from his friends and kissed behind his back. Because he knew everything about you, what made you strong and what made you weak, your pleasure, your personality, your essence.
You had given him your being. All of you, even though you didn't expect anything from him. And you didn't really get it. You got nothing but a harsh message and a terrible end for you.
Tears streamed down your cheek as you kept puffing on your cigarette, it was the second one you had lit and you had never been like this before but you couldn't calm your cravings. You weren't going back in there and it was heartbreaking to leave Jack and the girls but it didn't make sense anymore.
You had never really belonged to that world.
You were a simple young woman who worked for a living, barely made ends meet on her salary and didn't have many friends. You weren't pretty, you weren't slender, you weren't famous, you didn't even know if your personality matched. Maybe all this time you had been forcing something you knew wouldn't work but wished it would and it hadn't. How could you expect a top soccer player to fall in love with you? He was rich, famous and handsome. He had everything at his feet, including you.
That was what love was like. That was life. All that was left was to live.
You threw away the cigarette butt and lit your coat, determined to leave. Then you would find an excuse and tell them, it wasn't like they noticed your presence much either. The party was still going on in there and everyone was enjoying themselves happily but you were tired of pretending.
"Won't you say goodbye?" you stopped dead in your tracks when you heard the question.
You didn't want to lie down and let him see you like that. You didn't want to feel his pity or worse, for him to treat you indifferently. You couldn't feel it all over again, it was going to kill you. You didn't say anything, you just lifted your shoulders.
"Sasha won't let me go if I go back inside and it's already late, the last train is in ten minutes" you mentioned with a half smile, trying to sound polite.
Ruben nodded. "I can give you a ride, if you want" he said.
Your heart clenched in your chest. Of course you wanted, you wanted everything from him but you couldn't accept anything else.
"I don't mean to intrude, thank you for offering" you thanked him walking to continue your journey.
Every second that passed you ached to see him there.
"You know Jack would never forgive me if I let you go by yourself" he insisted following you and with every step behind you, you heard voices saying 'don't leave him'.
What the fuck did he care now? If he was trying to be polite and kind, he shouldn't. He'd hurt you enough without caring now. He hadn't even bothered to say why he was breaking up with you, he didn't have to care now when you were nothing anymore.
"Goodbye, Ruben" you said in a whisper.
You wanted to make it clear to him that you didn't need him and that this was goodbye, at least from you.
At least one of us knew how to say goodbye.
Your feet moved on their own, leading you away from the place. You weren't going to look back and sighed when you heard your name called but you walked away quickly. You crossed the empty street feeling the tears stinging in your eyes but they refused to come out as you were in a hurry to get to the subway. You needed to get home so you could cry in solitude and in your peace. Everything was empty, few people trying to get to their homes and you were one more as you sat in the lonely train car. You snorted as you felt the train start to move, soon you would be home and you wanted nothing more than that.
The reflection of the glass reflected your silhouette inside the carriage, outside, the cold Manchester night. The silence was intermittent, accompanied by your agitated breathing and the noises of the train. Through the reflection you saw the silhouette of someone walking behind you in the aisle, silently, sitting a few feet behind you. You didn't think much of it.
You didn't even want to look. The person's face was blurred by the lighting in the carriage but you could see a male figure. Your eyes imagined the unimaginable, your mind remembered what made you ache the most, you could smell his scent, hear his breathing, you even felt his presence. You denied noticing the illusion you were living.
You were really crazy. The lack of sleep, your depression and your mess were making you see things that weren't really there.
The lack of Ruben in your life was starting to hit you hard and you had never gone through anything like this before with a broken heart. Because you were really shattered, completely broken with an illusion that you yourself had created. Now you imagined him next to you, sitting there, holding your hand. Nothing was real, you didn't even know if your feelings were real anymore. It had happened so suddenly, you had let yourself be carried away by your love for him, you had lost everything.
It was silly to think you knew everything about him, his favorite food, his favorite perfume, you knew his tastes and pleasures, his dreams, his goals and his cons. You knew perfectly what he felt after losing or winning a game, every smile when he was called up or every cry when he was injured, you had been in his best moments and his worst. All in secret. Without telling anyone, being like friends all this time, only you were the one who acted.
He knew everything about you, or so you liked to think. You had come to think that he really knew you, that he really belonged to you, when he would pick you up after work or take you home after games, when he would knock on your door with your favorite ice cream flavors, when he would ask you every morning if you had rested well or how he encouraged you to apply for the promotion. Now you couldn't even tell him that if you got promoted, I'm sure he'd be proud, since he always said it. But nothing made sense anymore.
He wasn't here, he wasn't beside you, he wasn't behind you, he wasn't even thinking about you. It didn't matter anymore, you wanted to forget him.
What starts wrong, ends wrong. Many people used to say.
But you were going to forget him.
For your sake and his, you had to.
You closed your eyes and leaned against the window, trying to calm the tears that kept coming. You were tired, you just wanted to sleep. Maybe when you woke up it would all go away.
The sound of the loudspeakers announcing the stop made you jump out of your seat, you had closed your eyes for a few seconds and lost yourself in the feeling of warmth. You stood up from your place and turned around when you noticed everything empty, you had already arrived at your stop. You reached a little way out into the aisle when your eyes caught sight of a piece of paper on the empty seat next to you.
Confused you reached out to take it, you didn't remember if it had been there when you came anyway it was your responsibility as a citizen to throw it where it belonged. So you took it and opened it at least to see what it was about.
I don't expect you to be able to forgive me, i wouldn't do that. I just want you to move on, i don't deserve your pain. I am so sorry. R. D.
You read and were stunned.
You stood there in the aisle of the empty carriage with the note in your hands. How had it gotten there? Had Ruben really been sitting a few feet behind you? A tear spilled down your cheek, your heart turned over in pain. You hadn't imagined it then. You had sensed his scent, his aura, his being.
Why hadn't he told you more? What did that mean? Although you already knew perfectly well what that message was about.
It was a farewell. He was letting you go and he was asking you to let him go.
Maybe it was the right thing to do.
To let go of everything that dragged you down.
For you, for your heart.
You crumpled the paper and walked out of the car, dropping the note in the trash can.
Goodbye, Ruben.

A/N: JUNE ACTUALLY WROTE WTF YOU GUYS WHAT WHAT WHAT OMG its not my best and there will def be a smutty part 2… just be happy i ever wrote LMAOOO but guys let’s thank me elvis presley for inspiring me to write this
WARNINGS: not proofread at all sorry guys it’s 2 am
It was uncomfortably hot, your body feeling waves of heat overcome it.
You fan your face, walking away from the crowd of people. “Where are you going?” Sasha yelled over the loud music, holding onto your arm. “Outside. Need air.” You just smile before walking away. You push the door, back leaning against the cold doors.
Ah, the simple regret. You hated studying and sticking your nose in a book, so you chose to party. You never seem to grasp the fact that you lived in the city, and partying is just what young adults did all weekend. You hated crowded parties.
Your phone vibrated in your pocket. You picked it up, the light flashing your sensetive eyes.
Hange
 u still alive?
           Yeahhh just rlly crowded
Hange
omg you never learn
lol
no i’m outside rn
breathing air
Hange
ur funny
what time r u planning to come home?
i’m at the library rn
and how drunk r u
drunk off my ass
very much so
ohhh is it busy
Hange
yes
what library is busy at 2 am
smartass
call me
You smiled at the last message before pushing the call button.  “Hey.” Hange’s raspy voice came from your speaker. You sat on the floor, playing with the strings of your shoes. “Aren’t you supposed to be quiet in the library?” You smiled.
“Well no one is here.” You could practically hear their smirk. “Ok, i get it.” You rolled your eyes. “Why are you studying this late anyway?” “Big assessment tomorrow. It's huge and we have to mix chemicals and stuff.” “Tough shit. You think Professor Erwin’s gonna kill you if you fail?” “What part of ‘huge’ did you miss?” Hange smiled.
“Pshhh, don’t ask me. I couldn’t even tell you the color of the sky right now.” You leaned your head back, closing your eyes. “Do you have someone to walk you home?” Hange’s tone changed. “I’m not gonna lie, I came here alone.” You sighed.
“Someone’s gotta be there.” “I got Sash.” You rubbed your eyes. “That’s fine, as long as she can walk you home. Or someone… besides that Ymir girl… she’s too touchy.” Hange said. You froze, sitting up. “What do you mean?” You pushed more.
Why would Hange ever care about your past flings. “Well, she’s just weird.” Hange played it off with a laugh. “Cause we were a thing?” You squinted. “Not necessarily…” They trailed off. “It’s because we were a thing.” You said ina. demanding tone. “I’m not repeating myself.” Hange hummed.
You stayed quiet for a moment. “Are you jealous?” You laugh. Now it was Hange’s turn to stay silent. “Why would I be jealous?” Hange nervously chuckled. “Because you and I know there’s something going on.” You lowered your tone.
“You’re drunk off your ass!” Hange laughed. “Am I really?” You challenged them. You knew that if you were sober, these words would not be leaving your mouth. But there was so much tension between you and Hange, it was hard to deny.
Your friends always told you to reconsider your thoughts about Hange. You brushed it off, not wanting to ruin everything. You were feeling quite confident at this moment.
“You tell me.” Hange snarked back. “Well, I think you and I know what’s really going on here.” You bit your lip. “And what is that exactly?” “That we both know this whole roommate's bullshit is just an excuse to be around eachother. We both know there’s more to that.”
Hange stayed silent. “I’m going home.” You hang up the phone, standing from the floor.
-
Your head laid against the cold wall, head pounding. You heard a chuckle.
Hange took their key, fitting in the lock. “Did you forget your key?” “I was waiting on you.” You shook your head. Hange helped you up, rushing you inside.
“What was that whole thing about?” Hange asked you, kneeling to take off your shoes. “Just some drunk thoughts.” “Which are sober ones?” Hange pulled off your shoe, standing back up. “Maybe.” “Why can’t we talk about this when you’re sober?” Hange set down their backpack, cheeks turning red.
You stayed silent, looking down. You felt Hange’s warm lips on yours, back pressing against the kitchen counter. They held your face in between their hands, lips softly molding with yours. They pulled back, panic in their voice. “I should’ve asked, I'm sorry.” They blushed harder. You shook your head, pushing their foggy glasses up. You kissed them again, before pecking their face over and over again.
“You reconsider what I said.” You kiss their nose once more.

It’s best to watch your mouth
Daryl Dixon • She/Her Pronouns • An argument…lead to blood loss and fear…oh how the world has a funny way of showing you what you can lose with what you say • TW: Major Injuries / Blood Loss / Recovery / Scars
Requested by: Anon
A/N: Love posting an angst fic request on my birthday 💕
Tumblr media
“…do you regret what you just said to me, Dixon?” He knew he fucked up by the use of his last name, but he meant what he said. He meant every word because she needs to understand that shit just happens whether you like it or not.
The silence was her answer, and it only made her feel worse.
As Y/N immediately left the home, slamming the front door in the process…Daryl had the urge to follow her but the way his fists clenched and anger build up inside of him. He would make things worse if he acted with those emotions.
Why does me wondering where the fuck you are piss you off so much?
Cuz you don’t have to fucking know! I tell yea every time I’ll come back
Last time you didn’t! You lost your crossbow and your bike—-
For fucks sake Y/N just SHUT UP
Oh really Daryl—-
I’m not some dumb fucking kid that doesn’t know his way around in the world that ends up getting himself killed in the process. Next time trust my fucking word.
Seriously.
You seriously had to bring him up Y/N frowns as the tears continue to burn her face even after she left the community. Telling Sasha who was on watch that she needed a breather.
It’s been a couple hours since that fight and Daryl didn’t think much of it when she didn’t come home. Hopefully she’d be at Carol’s or hiding out somewhere in Alexandria until the heat between them cools down.
The archer instantly turns to the door when Carol came through with a confused look on her face.
“I thought…uhm.”
“What?”
“Y/N…I thought she’d be with you…” Carol frowns before narrowing her attention on the man that suddenly revealed a more guilty expression. “What did you do, Dixon?”
“Seriously? Dixon now?” Oh he’s going to be in the dog house for a while.
“Y/N was supposed to help me with something and she didn’t turn up. It’s been hours, Dar. I know she doesn’t just disappear without a good reason, even if said good reason is actually a bad one”
“We got into a fight. Real bad one” The guiltless written itself on his face as he rises from the table. “Gonna ask Rick if he’s seen her”
“We’re not done” Carol glares at Daryl wanting to know more about this fight. “I’ll check with the people on watch. See if they’ve seen her”
Once the two separated, the anxiety started to eat at Daryl the more people he talked to. He checked with Rick and he didn’t see her since before they fought, so that was too early in the day. Carol asked the current watch person, Rosita if she’s seen Y/N and that was a no. Which led to her asking the previous person on watch, Sasha, who hasn’t seen her since she let her out.
“Anythin’?” Daryl met back up with Carol at the infirmary after she had asked Denise for any Y/N sightings but shook her head. “Fuck!”
“The fuck did you say to Y/N that made her leave like this?!”
“I already know it’s my goddamn fault Carol. Why must I—-“
“Because she could be doing a whole lot more than stepping out for some air”
That planted exactly what Carol implied in Daryl’s head. Which led to his anger being directed at himself as he tried not to shut down right in front of her. It was so hard to say—-
“I blamed her for her brother dyin’. When we all know he joined the wrong side and got himself killed.” Daryl frowns watching his best friend’s expression darken in anger as he started to avoid her eye contact. “All because she wants to know where I’m at”
“…You’re messing with me. You fought because she cares—-“
“Carol—-“
“SHE CARES ABOUT YOUR FUCKING DUMBASS BECAUSE YOU ARE RECKLESS AND THINK YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH EVERYTHING WITHOUT ANYONE BATTING AN EYE” Carol snaps, regretting the flinch to pulled out of Daryl but it needed to be drawn out of him. “Her brother was reckless and she cared deeply about him. When she lost him because of the Governor’s manipulation and the first fight at the prison, we almost lost her. So when you tell her that she needs to back off about wondering where you are…after you got your bike and crossbow stolen…after you went missing for days…you’re the fucking asshole that should’ve watched his mouth”
“…What are we going to do Carol?”
“For right now, we are taking this as she needs a breather” Carol states. “If she doesn’t come back tomorrow…we’ll discuss our next option with Rick involved”
Daryl didn’t like the waiting and hated every second of it. His glooming form on the porch of the Grimes’ residence worried everyone and drew a few questions that Carol ultimately answered.
“I’m gonna go check on the snares outside” Rick tells Daryl as that triggered a thought in his mind making him get up and follow the man.
But when they reached the gates, he stopped him.
“What. Can’t go?”
“No, yea can’t. You’ve been squirrel-y” Rick scoffs.
“Y/N still ain’t back”
“From what Carol told me, you said some dumb fucking shit” He hissed, resting his hands on his hips the way he does. “You ain’t in the right head space to go on any sound searches without destroying whatever is in your way”
“Can’t I still just help with the snar—-“
“Nope!” Rick laughs on his way out of the gates after Eugene opened them for him.
Eugene looks deep into Daryl’s soul, or at least he always looks like that. It made Daryl uncomfortable enough to leave the gates heading back to the houses.
“Works every goddamn time” Eugene knew if he made the man uncomfortable that he wouldn’t try and sneak passed him.
Not like he thought about trying, but both Carol and Rick were on top of it. Telling their close family to keep an eye on the archer to avoid him from leaving the walls.
The late afternoon came around and Carol had talked to Rick and Michonne about searching for Y/N and kept Daryl out of it. But he lingered on the porch until he was informed.
“We’ll plan somethin’ in the morning. For now, the most yea can be is on watch” Rick tells Daryl as the two walked to the gates, mainly for the retired sheriff to make sure the archer didn’t get any ideas.
So the stubborn man stood in the watch post staring out into the dead forest not hearing anything. Then the smallest twig snapped and he readied the rifle he had aiming into the sound not seeing much of what it could be given the dark.
It’s just a walker Daryl thought watching the unknown form human-like stumble toward the gates and to the cars they had spikes on. Thinking it was dumb enough to impale itself, but his attention hasn’t left the person seeing them miss the spikes entirely.
The body slumped against the car with spikes only on the trunk, they slowly descended to the ground propped against this stilled vehicle.
Then it triggered Daryl.
“Oh my god. Oh my fucking GOD!” Daryl yells, making his way out of the post as his yell caught the attention of the nearest people. In this case Abraham and Maggie.
Abraham got the gates open with Daryl as he forced his way through while Maggie followed behind him with her weapon in case of walkers. Then she saw it for herself.
“Oh god. Y/N!” Maggie yells running over to her aid with Daryl as she was falling into an unconscious state the more she stilled. “Abraham! Get Denise and the gurney!”
All the archer heard was white noise…
Her head is bleeding…
She’s bruised everywhere…
Her right side is soaked with blood…
She was limping, she must’ve sprained or broken her ankle…
She’s…broken
A mess…
And it’s all my fault Daryl frowns trying not to let the tears spill but they did as he carried her body onto the gurney that Abraham and Denise brought out with more witnesses around.
The man was covered in her blood while he waited outside the infirmary in a frozen state with Glenn on one side of him rubbing circles on his back and Carol in front of him trying to get anything out of him that she might of said. But she passed out quickly…
“She’s going to be okay” Glenn states, about two hours later after checking on Y/N himself once Denise stepped out after she finished.
Daryl felt the tears come on strong as he held his head between his legs feeling like a beaten puppy. He fell apart and Glenn stuck with him the entire time even when Maggie came out after cleaning up telling him he was going back to the house. He stayed with his friend until Michonne came later with a change of clothes for both Daryl and Y/N. Giving him his clothes and going inside to help Denise during her hourly check to get Y/N sort of comfortable and not exposed.
The archer didn’t come into the infirmary until five days later…he was instructed for his mentality and for Y/N’s infection probability. She needed a least a day or two after having to insert a chest tube and also removing it once it did it’s job.
Daryl sat by her side noticing the bandage on her temple, the ace bandages around her torso, and her ankle also wrapped yet elevated. She had a few bandages scattered for small cuts and then obvious bruises. He tried once again not to cry, regretting everything he had said to her that led to her leaving and returning like this. He held her hand carefully, feeling his chest tighten at every negative thought.
Her wince startled him as he was going to release her hand when she squeezed his tightly.
“Ouch” Y/N groans trying to take a deep breath as Daryl carefully rises from his seat to look her in the eye when she tiredly opened hers. “Hey…”
“Hey…I’m so so sorry…” He broke once more as the tears roll off his cheeks seeing her go to a calm expression for someone as hurt as she was. “I should’ve never said that about your brother…never should’ve compared shit or say you shouldn’t worry about me…I—-“
“I’m really…really exhausted, love.” Y/N pouts feeling tears of her own spill. “You can’t yell at me like that again. You…you can’t question my f-fucking worry EVER!” She snaps that last part resulting in a painful wince to escape her as she held her side with her left hand. “…you mean so much to me that I…I can’t lose you”
“I can’t lose you either, sunshine.” Daryl brushes the hair out of her face, gently wiping away her tears still having his own. “I’m so fucking sorry I was an asshole…you’re my everything and it took long for my sake to get my head out of my ass”
“…please don’t leave me”
“I’m right here, I’m right here” Daryl gently rests his forehead against hers, still holding her hand as his anxiety still ate him alive.
Once she got cleared to recover in her own bed, Daryl never left her side again. Even when Rick came in a few times to ask what happened to her even if it was all a blur. One time he asked, Y/N had to reassure Daryl that what happened to her wasn’t his fault. She should’ve went out armed and shouldn’t have gone far as she did. The most she remembered was running into trouble and not knowing who the individuals were that hurt her.
“I’ve got watch this morning…” Daryl whispers to her after she was well enough for him to join her in the bed. Even if he was afraid to touch her.
“Don’t wanna piss off Rick” Y/N whispers back keeping her eyes closed given how early it was. “Come back soon though?” She turned her head toward him opening her eyes looking into his gorgeous blues.
“I don’t wanna go.” He frowns seeing her struggle to turn toward him as he tried to stop her but his hand got smacked away.
“I won’t disappear if you leave. Just come back once you’re done” Y/N leans into him pressing a kiss to the bridge of his nose before getting comfortable again, watching the archer get out of the bed helping her sit up once more to put his pillow with hers.
The archer then fixed the blankets over her, got her ankle elevated again on a decorative pillow he took from the couch downstairs, and checked her bandages before kissing her forehead and getting dressed.
“Hey” Daryl stops at the door to her voice seeing that smile of hers that he missed.
“Yeah?”
“Be safe today, okay?”
“I promise, sunshine”

“MY HAPPY PLACE” AUGUST X SUNSHINE! FEM!READER
Tumblr media
A/N : I don’t think anyone is going to read this because tftbl is so underrated but I’m bored soooo
WARNINGS : nsfw headcanons, MDNI
You and August? Nobody would have ever guessed you two were a couple. No one would have even assumed you two were a couple.
The two of you, surprisingly, were together since you were thirteen. At first it was just silly kid love but now that the two of you were grown adults, it turned into something serious.
August wasn’t expecting himself to fall in love with someone like you given you two were complete opposites. But he was. Madly in love with you. Even if he had a hard time of showing it. He was.
You were also the only one that could put August in check. That was something other people realized quickly.
You were only person allowed to kiss August, hug him, show him compassion and sympathy. Otherwise he didn’t care about it for anyone else.
“Be nice.” You told your boyfriend. You two had successfully kidnapped Fiona, Rhys and the rest of their friends while trying to unlock a vault.
August scoffed, crossing his arms. “I am nice.”
“To me.”
“Yeah, because you’re the only one that deserves it.”
You giggled a little and leaned over to give him a kiss on the lips. August accepted the kiss and pulled you closer to him.
The ones you kidnapped? Were further in the room and looked in complete confusion and disgust. “How did they end up together?” Rhys asked distraught.
“Talk about opposites attract.” Fiona mumbled.
You pulled away from him and walked out of the room. August turned towards the group and he rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. “You people figure out a plan or what?”
“Do we have to suck your face too to get treated like a human being?” Sasha asked sarcastically.
August gave her a look full of disgust. “Don’t make me puke.”
SFW HEADCANONS
August is protective but doesn’t breathe down your back. He knows you can handle yourself and that you don’t need a babysitter. But if anything were to happen, he’d burn the whole world down.
He isn’t the biggest on PDA but doesn’t mind to kiss you in front of everyone or even slap your ass.
He doesn’t really get jealous because he knows you love him. He’s more so just moderately irritated when he sees a man flirt with you or have a crush on you.
Which brings him to Rhys. He can tell Rhys has a crush on you because well, he is a man, and he’ll just roll his eyes half the time he sees you interact with Rhys. He’s not worried though.
While he may not be jealous, you are the one that is despite you being the more level headed one in the relationship and will all the time make remarks about him with other women or even Sasha. This annoys him because he genuinely doesn’t like any other women and has to remind you that he’s the one in love with you.
At first it was hard to get him to break his walls down but once you break them down, he is non stop saying he loves you. It kind of freaks people out seeing him so lovey with you and at the next minute wanting to shoot everyone in the face.
August doesn’t ever let you sit in a seat and makes you sit on his lap all the time.
He loves when you play with his hair. It releases some stress he’s feeling.
He has a rule where you two can never go to bed mad or walk out the door mad. He has abandonment issues so even if you’re extremely mad at him, you are forced to sleep in the same bed as him. Also if you’re leaving and are mad, you still have to tell him you love him.
August rarely gets mad at you. Or even irritated with you but if he ever does, he just needs a little space.
With how handsome August is and him owning a bar, he gets a lot of women trying to flirt with him. A lot of the time he gets really disgusted and just rolls his eyes. He’ll tell them he’s taken before walking away.
You on the other hand get the worst out of it because there’s a lot of drunk men at his bar that are not afraid to flirt with you openly. When August sees how uncomfortable they’re making you or if they make physical contact with you, he kills them instantly.
Speaking of, while you know you have to kill to survive on Pandora and do it out of necessity, August some times just kills if someone pisses him off which you don’t like. He tries not to do it in front of you.
August always kisses you on your knuckles.
When August messes up in the relationship, it’s hard for him to say he’s sorry but he will say it. If that doesn’t work, he’ll shower you with gifts to the point where you stop giving him the silent treatment and actually talk to him.
NSFW HEADCANONS
August is the dominant one in the relationship. While he is submissive to you outside the relationship like getting you anything you want and wanting to do things for you, August takes complete control in the bedroom. He is never really submissive but he’ll let you get on top of him though.
He loves to eat you out and probably prefers giving to receiving. He just loves making you feel good.
August prefers your ass more to your chest. He just likes grabbing it and giving it a smack and it happens frequently.
He’ll talk you through it. All the time. He sees how much it makes you squirm and loves seeing you all wind up. He’ll always praise you. He’s not the one to really degrade in the bedroom but if you ask then he’ll do it.
August likes all the sex positions to be completely honest but if he had to pick one, it would be cow girl. As dominant as he is, he loves when you ride him and seeing your chest bounce up and down. He’ll mainly have to help you through because the pleasure is too much for you to keep up the pace. Seeing you struggle turns him on even more.
He isn’t really into hurting you in the bedroom but if you ask him, he’ll do it.
He loves when you beg to cum. Not that he ever denies you. You’re just so desperate to cum on him and it turns him on so much that he is ready to cum inside of you.
Considering you’re in a long term relationship with him, August just prefers cumming inside of you. He doesn’t mind if you get pregnant and actually wants kids. Also it’s just hotter to do it inside of you.
He loves eye contact. He forces you to look at him through out the entire time and if you cum without looking at him, then you have rounds until you do.
2 times out of 10, you have to initiate intimacy. August gets turned on just by looking at you and is always on the go to have sex so you’re never really the one to start it.
When he is feeling he wants you to take control, he doesn’t mind if you tied him up to the bed.
August has a lot of stamina so he’s willing to go a long time until you want to stop.
He can cum just by looking at your body but even when he cums too quick, he keeps going until you do. If he can’t get back up, he just settles to eating you out.
He loves thigh riding. He’d watch you cum on his thigh every day if he could.
He loves when you leave hickeys on his body. Not until does it feel good but it looks good on his body.

#1: Marcy at the Gates
Ok, so I meant to bring back Top Ten Tuesdays when I posted #2 a few weeks ago. But today is another Tuesday, and I was just thinking about this episode!
Marcy at the Gates is the hands down best character in Amphibia (and one of the best characters ever), at her absolute best, in the best episode of Amphibia. And it was only her first ever speaking appearance! Hard to believe nobody knew a thing about the adorkable nerd until halfway through the show's run. But reality is funny like that sometimes.
And honestly? What is there to say about Marcy that hasn't already been said? Seriously, I can't think of anything. She's an innocent child who wouldn't hurt a fly (unless it was served to her on a tray with other bug appetizers). She's an adventurer. She craves friendship, and this is somehow both a strength and her greatest weakness. She's a brainiac. She's a nerd. She's amazing. She's charming. She is small and cute and needs to be protected at all costs. Some say she's selfish, but she's like 12-13; we can forgive that. She's sometimes so smart she crosses over into being really dumb. She's great at zoning in, not so great at multitasking.
Wait, I just thought of something that I haven't heard anywhere else: that last sentence cost Marcy her life at the hands of King Andrias. If she was paying more attention she would have noticed him and tried to -- you know -- avoid his sword. And hey, something else I've never heard before: Sasha was right that this habit would get her killed someday.
Anyway, I know I'm just going on about Marcy, but come on, this was her episode. Her story. She was the star. She made this episode #1 overall.
But I love details, and the plot was the details here. The first detail is the Plantars finally making it to Newtopia. And the second detail is Anne inadvertently introducing the plot of the episode by showing Sprig pictures of Marcy and telling him about her. Then you get more details about how the city works. You know the episode title, so by the time the hooded figure descends on the wagon, you know you're about to meet Marcy. Right away after the commercial break she makes it clear whose episode this is. Crazy how in just 2/3 of an episode she had everybody like this:
Tumblr media
Then you got your standard Marcy mission with a brand new crew (for her). Chock full of twists and turns. Achievement unlocked: 3 new allies join your party! Instavines! Queen barbariants! The process of digestion! And then, a potent penetration and another friendship forged in the bonds of battle later, we finally get to see Newtopia, and the episode came to an end.
(Technically it is Wednesday now, but it's shortly after midnight and I started writing this post on Tuesday so it still counts.)
Marcy is awesome. That's all I'm really trying to say here.
Oh, and I just remembered this, which I posted shortly after this episode.

ANARCHY🎸⚡️|Hobie Brown
previous: –eight.
–nine.
HOBIE'S POV
"Ya gonna be silent the whole drive?" I eyed her from the corner of my eye.
She was a bit startled at the sudden sound of my voice as we sat in a long silence. "Oh..um, sorry."
"No need to be sorry, love." I took a right, my hands grip the wheel tightly. " 's just that I wanted to hear you talk is all."
"Oh." She said softly. "What should I talk about?"
"Anythin' you want, doll." A smirk played at my lips.
"I really like cake, cupcakes, really sweet stuff." She began. "My favorite color is pink, I used to competitively play tennis."
I switched lanes, then glanced at her, holdin' onto every single word she said.
"Really? Tennis?" I cocked a brow. "Why'd you stop?"
"I got tired of it, it was a sport my parents wanted me to play." She replied.
"I like that. Think it's real cool you stopped doin' something you didn't want to do." I turned the wheel.
"Really?" She asked me softly.
"Yeah, it's pretty badass." I grinned at her, slowly pulling into an apartment complex.
She smiled back at me, swear there were sparkles in those beautiful eyes of hers.
I parked up, turned off the car and looked at her.
"When am I gonna see you again?" I finally asked. "I really want to see you again."
She bit her bottom lip, shyly looking at me.
God, don't look at me like that woman.
I lowered my eye lids at her. "Don't look at me like that."
"Like wha—mmph!"
I leaned over and smashed my lips onto hers. I was so hungry for her. My hands cupped the sides of her face, pullin' her in and deepenin' our kiss.
Her hands found my vest, tuggin' and pullin' on it, bringin' me closer to her.
I pulled away to catch my breath. "I wanted to kiss you this whole fuckin' time." I took off my seatbelt, inchin' closer to her.
She breathed heavily, her chest heavin' while her eyes narrowed seductively at me. "Me..me too."
"Fuck." My thumbs caressed both sides of her face, as I roughly reconnected our kiss. My eyes closed shut as our lips danced against each other.
"Hobie." She moaned into the kiss, our tongues clashin' together.
My hands moved from her beautiful face, to me caressing the back of her neck. "Yeah?" My words were a bit muffled.
She focused on my bottom lip, gently stretchin' it with her teeth. I could feel my erection growin'. It was probably pokin' out of my underwear.
Oh how badly I wanted her gaggin' on it.
She slowly pulled away, her eyes desperately lookin' into mines. "I..really..want to see you again too."
I softly nodded my head, my eyes starin' deeply into hers. "Yeah? How about tomorrow? What time do you get off from work?"
"3." She answered, licking her lips.
"I pick you up from home at 5 and take you somewhere." I played with the hair on the back of her head. "It's a date, sounds like a plan, yeah?"
She nodded focusin' on my lips.
He smirked. "You wanna kiss me, don't you Sasha?" I put a thumb on her lips.
She nodded once more.
"So honest." I cracked a smile, removin' my thumb and placing a wet kiss on her lips.
Our teeth softly clashed against each other's, but that didn't stop us at all. She moaned into my mouth, her hands squeezin' my arms.
" You're so fuckin' hot." I breathed out, dippin' my face into the crook of her neck, leavin' wet kiss trails.
My teeth softly tugged at her skin, while I sucked on her neck, replacin' the old love bites.
"Hobie." She cried out softly, throwin' her head and exposin' more of her pretty little neck.
My free hand cupped her braless breast through the shirt I gave her. Her nipples were erect and poked through. "So hard."
She squirmed when I pinched and tugged softly at her nipple. I pulled away from her neck and looked her, now teasin' both of her breasts.
Her eyes were squeezed shut.
"Hey."
Her eyes peeled open, a moan escapin' her lips.
"Keep your eyes on me." I told her.
She nodded quickly, meltin' into my touch.
"Good girl." I muttered against her skin. I found her lips once more, gettin' drunk off the taste of her. My hand found a way to her thighs, rubbin' her inner thighs slowly.
She mewed at my touch, makin' my cock twitch.
I stare at her thighs for a moment and traveled back up to her face, givin' her a peck on her jaw. "We should stop here for tonight." I readjusted myself in my seat and tried fixin' my hard on.
"You're right." She agreed, tryin' to collect herself.
"I really want to..it's just that I don't want Miguel to bite my head off if I come back late." I rubbed my temples.
She giggled cutely, makin' me turn my head.
"So cute, you have a curfew." She joked.
" 's not a curfew." I crossed my arms. "I don't follow rules and orders, I decide if I want to or not."
She giggled again.
I like hearin' that.
"Sure, Mr. Brown." She teased. "If you don't follow rules, you'd stay."
I looked away, fightin' back a smile, "I said I decide if I want to stay or not, and tonight's just one of the nights I decide to listen to the rules."
"Whatever you say."
I turned my head to look at her with a smirk on my face. "Goodnight, Sasha."
"Goodnight, Hobie." She smiled at me.
I slowly leaned over and placed a kiss on her forehead. I leaned back and it took everythin' in me not to kiss those lips.
The way she looks at me should be criminal.
" 'low it." I told her.
"Hm?" She titled her head.
A put a hand out, gesturing for her to stop. "Just stop."
"Stop?" She laughed. "Don't know what you're talking about, but okay." She opened the car door and got out.
I huffed in my seat, scratchin' my scalp. As much as I wanted to go all the way, I had to get back to the tour bus before Miguel becomes a pain in my arse.
I watched as she walked up the stairs and entered into her apartment. Seein' that she safely went into her apartment, I started the car and drove off.
🔆
Today we moved the tour bus to a different venue  because we were gonna perform tomorrow night.
I should probably tell Sasha about that.
We had just finished the sound test, now we were headin' back to the bus.
"Hobes." Pavitr called for me.
I turned my head to him while I chugged down some water.
"You seem a to be in a good mood, did something happen last night when you took Sasha home?" A playful grin slowly appeared on his face, while he bumped into my side.
I moved the bottle from my lips and closed my eyes and shrugged.
Gwen joined. "So you're not telling us?" She opened the tour bus and walked in.
With my eyes still closed, I ignored them. I walked in after Miles and sprawled over one of the smaller chairs.
"Come on man, why're you being so secretive?" Miles groaned from the couch.
"Maybe some things ain't any of your guys' business." I finally said. "Just 'low it."
Pavitr sighed. "You're so mean. Anyways, we should get going to the café you guys."
"Okay, after this game. I'm gonna absolutely demolish Gwen on this level." Miles kept his eyes focused on the screen while pressin' buttons on the controller.
"In your fucking dreams." Gwen challenged.
I checked my phone. It was 4:50.
I leaned up off the couch and stretched. "See you little pests later."
"Where are you headed off to?" Gwen asked curiously, still focused on the game.
"Shit." Miles groaned.
Clearly Gwen beat his ass in that game.
"None of your beeswax, Gwendy." I put my hands in my pockets and leaned into her face tauntingly.
She rolled her eyes, pushin' me out of the way. "You're hiding something."
"Hide?" I chuckled. "Even if I was hidin' somethin', you stooges couldn't even figure it out."
"Did you just basically call us stupid?!" Pavitr asked in disbelief.
"Yeah." I answered with a grin on my face before walkin' out.

movie love | 2
Wattpad: @namakaeggs
You wake up to a leftover bag of takeout in the fridge. With last nights less than desirable events, you can't help but gleam at this gift sent from above. Or more literally, Sasha Braus and her love for food.
"Morning." Sasha yawns out as she walks into the kitchen behind you with her nest of brown tangled hair that she wears in a scrunchie. Turning toward her, you reply with a good morning and grab the bag from the refrigerator.
"Oh no you don't," Sasha defends as she grabs the bag from you, "that is a five Michelin star meal that is not going to be wasted on your hungover breakf-"
"One, no such thing as a five Michelin star, you idiot," You interrupt and grab the bag back, "and two, I am not hungover."
"Wait, you're not?" She questioned, eyebrows raising.
"Not hungover. Not an ounce in me since we finished the Tito last week."
Sasha turns around and grabs a fork from the drawer. "Thought you were at the frat, t's all."
"They had a party last night?" You sit down at the kitchen island while looking at Sasha's expression, trying to read the answer to your question before she says it herself.
"Yeah," she says after she shoves a bite of cold pasta in her mouth, "they threw a whole welcoming party for Eren. "
"Who even is that guy?" You remark arrogantly, shoving your own fork in the takeout dish. "This is the second time I've heard about him in like the last twenty four hours." You say laughing.
"You don't know who Eren is?" She almost sounds offended. "He's friends with the guys. And, like, practically all of Paradis and Marley."
"Bro," you say with a full mouth of food, "I've literally never seen this guy a day in my life."
"That's a load of shit!" Sasha laughs. "You had to of. There's no way you don't know who he is!"
"Need a face to the name." You say nonchalantly, jabbing your fork to grab more pasta.
"He's a womanizer, that's all you need to know." Sasha jokes.
"Oh really? And what makes him such a big prize?"
"His dick apparently, he's like massive or something but that's kinda gross to think about."
"Oh, gross Sash!" You joke in disgust. You start to comprehend that this Eren guy isn't just some name who haunts the town, he's actually a real person.
Sasha walks around the island. "He's such a sweatheart though!!" She pinches your cheeks. "-Makes it hard to believe all the stories girls have about him are true."
"Oh brother." You roll your eyes. "What, so he's like a freak freak or something?"
Sasha leans in, whispering in your ear, "If you're so curious, go and find out." She giggles.
Your stomach drops and you begin to feel your face heat up. Sasha then pulls away and shivers in disgust. "Ew, I did not just say that about Eren." You can't help but feel your cheeks heat up and your stomach fluttering. You push down your confusing feelings for the meantime because a guy you've never meet shouldn't make you feel like this.
"What! So I'm not worthy of this supposed sex symbol that happens to be gracing everyone in these parts with his presence?"
"Girl, you're so hot. Any guy would fall to his knees for you if he knew what's best for him." She says, walking out of the kitchen. "Also!" She screams from the living room, "We're going out tonight, so don't make other plans."
"Okay!" You scream reply back, finishing the rest of the pasta and wanting nothing more to do than match the name to the face to quench your curiously. If he went to school in Marley and lives him Paradis, you probably saw him before . You could just ask Sash what he looks like, but you don't want her to get the wrong idea about your intentions. You could care less about the sex reputation he's acquired, and if you thought too hard on it, you might even recall some of your classmates in college mentioning his name in passing while speaking on that topic. Actually, even in high school you can remember his name being brought up in conversations with your friends, going in through one ear and out the other. You frankly dismissed it all, him having no attachment to you, but now? You feel confused and honestly deprived. Everyone knows this guy but you, and you have a serious case of FOMO. Which also means that, yes, you'll be going wherever Sasha takes you tonight.
"I am not wearing that."
"Why not?" Sasha defends, holding up an article of clothing that is comparable to a piece of dental floss.
"I'm trying to be.. what's the word?" You ponder, eyes hitting the ceiling.
"Uh. Oh I know! A negative Nancy?" Sasha responds smiling from ear to ear.
You ignore her and grab whatever she's holding. You can't even tell if it's a top, bottom, or undergarment. "This." You say while swinging it in her face. "Is a no!"
"Ugh! C'mon y/n, live a little!" Sasha pushes you with her arm. "You know what, here." She says as she hands you a dress.
It's satin. Red. Short. It's a halter and flows a little at the bottom. Typically, you'd go for a comfier look for a party, but tonight you feel a little risky.
"Alright." You respond in a mock defeated tone and you start to put it on.
"Yay!" Sasha squeals as she claps her hands. "You're going to look so cute!"
The autumn air is too crisp for comfort, and you're honestly wishing you brought a sweater. When you and Sasha left the house, you were slighty horrified at the idea that you may have overdressed. Pairing your dress with some black lace tights and doc martin boots, as well as some jewelry stacks, you were pretty satisfied with your outfit regardless. As you and Sash drive to the frat, you see that most of the people heading that way are dressed up too. You sigh in relief.
The road you're taking is right along the beach. From Sasha's car, you can see high schoolers mingling around bonfires, a Paradis kid's rite of passage.
"Remember when the cops tried to get us to give them some white claws junior year?" You reminisce out loud while looking at the bonfire.
Sasha turns to the beach as well. "And we had to give them a whole box cause they threatened to call our parents!" We look at each other, the memories flooding in and we laugh at the idiocy.
"Would've called our parents if we were all Marley kids." You remark. "Their rite of passage is an overnight jail stay."
"Says the girl who lived in Marley." Sasha responds, making a turn.
"The girl who lived in Marley actually only hung out with the Paradis kids." You remind her. Sasha laughs like what you said was hilarious, and covers her laugh with her hand before pulling into an empty spot.
"You guys are so..similar?! Are you guys twins?"
"Who?"
"The hot topic of the rumor mill, duh! You connect the dots, girl." Sasha states like it's obvious, getting out of the car. But to you, it isn't obvious. You didn't really partake in the neighborhood gossip often and honestly had no idea what she was talking about. You get out as well and start walking toward the frat. When you both get to the door, a familiar face greets you two.
"Who invited you guys?" A boy with dirty blonde hair asks.
"Shut up, Jean!" You argue back jokingly. A smile on playing on both of your faces as you shut down his sarcasm.
He throws his hands up in defeat. "Fine, fine. guess you guys can go in." Jean mock sighs,  getting a kick out of his own joke.
"Yeah! We will!" Sasha says, giving him a punch to the side. He makes a noise mixed of pain and protest, mostly pain, and you and Sash enter the frat.
Taking your final sip of your Mikes lemonade, you can feel a buzz, especially considering you and Sasha already had a few shots earlier when you had arrived. The music is so loud that you can feel your heart chasing the beat. Pushing your hair out of your face, you head to the kitchen to throw out your empty drink.
A few people are lingering around the kitchen, chatting and having conversations. You can vaguely recognize them all, small town perks, and press your heel down on the can so that the lid opens. After disposing of your drink, you decide that you should find your friends.
After walking around, trying to avoid all the flirting couples that look like they want to swallow each others tongues, or already are for that matter, you go back to the kitchen, taking a new can of whatever was in the cooler. Eventually, you find them all playing beer pong in the gaming room.
"Y/n!" Historia slurs beside Ymir, who you assume is her teammate for the round. Connie and Jean are on the opposite side. "Come join us!!" You can tell she is drunker than you.
You listen and sit on the large couch that overlooks the table.
"So Min'" you turn to the blonde boy beside you, his cheeks rosy and his eyes watching Ymir throwing her ball in and Connie having to throw back a shot. "Having fun?"
"Almost too much." He replies while glancing at his phone for a second because of a notification. He looks back up at you, and his eyes shine a bright blue. "I'm waiting for my turn to play"
"Me too." You agree, leaning your head back against the back of the couch.
"Hey y/n." Mikasa greets you as she sits right beside you on the couch.
"Mika! I haven't seen you in so long!" You giggle in excitement as you hug her.
"I know. We need to have another sleepover with Sasha." She states. You make a sound of approval, and you, Armin, and Mikasa fall into conversation.
"I actually almost joined the football team."
"There's no way." You say.
"How much have you had to drink, Armin?" Mikasa asks, concern lacing her tone because in a literal sense, "Armin" and "football" should not be in the same sentence, ever.
Armin laughs while holding his unlocked phone. "I really almost did! I was at the first tryout and they called me back, I didnt go because that's when Eren got into Marley's school."
"Oh, right." Mikasa says as her confusion is cleared. On the contrary, you feel even more confused than before.
"Yeah, I said I'd only join if he did, then he went off to private school." Armin scoffs, but it's lighthearted and warm.
"Is he coming toni-"
"I still have no idea who that guy is." You mutter, interrupting.
Armin and Mikasa gasp and you look at them like they're crazy. "What!" They exclaim at the same time as they start to question you.
"Eren this, Eren that!" You say out loud. "I don't even think he's real at this point, who even is he?"
"Me."
You turn to see who replied to your small outburst, and you stop your jaw dropping before it can.
Wearing a tight fitting tee and sweats, and to your dismay, holding a bottle of Sierra Mist and adorning a lip piercing. You can't tell if you want to runaway or freeze up.
His piercing green eyes bore into yours. His hair not long, but somehow loosely tied back. "You owe me." He states.
"I'm sorry?" You say in confusion.
He gestures to his bottle of Sierra Mist, which ironically is empty. He licks his piercing and your stomach flips.
Realization dawns on you. "I told you I would pay for it."
"Yeah, while you were taking up half the screen of the movie I fucking payed money to watch."
"I already said I was-"
"Hey, Eren!" Armin interrupts, trying to deescalate the situation, looking between you and the guy from the movies. Another realization dawns on you. The guy from the movies that you spilled the drink on and Eren are the same person. You got so frozen up in the moment that you completely forgot to unmix the two people, because they're actually just one person.
"Why did you just spawn in like that?" Mikasa laughs. You're still trying to comprehend these two people are actually one. "Could've texted us you were coming."
Eren looks at Mikasa. "I texted Armin."
"I can vouch for that." Armin interjects, waving his phone with the messages app open.
"Whatever." Mikasa takes a swing of her white claw. "Oh y/n, that's who we were talking about by the way." She says, pointing her index finger at Eren.
"Oh yeah, there he is!" Armin joins in, both he and Mikasa just pointing at him while you and Eren fight the urge to not to punch each other in the face.
"I can see that." You say rolling your eyes, hoping that a black hole happens to open up under you and suck you into a universe where this wasn't happening. The longer Eren stands close to you, the more attractive you realize he is. His eyebrows are closely knit, annoyance emanating from his body.
"I've meet you before."
"Uh, yeah?" You state the obvious.
"Then why are you acting like you have no idea who I am?" Eren scoffs.
"Oooo! Drama at the couch!" Connie immaturely screams from the beer pong game. You opt to ignore Connie for the time being.
"Oh y/n, that's him!" Historia says nodding at you after her attention is diverted to the couch by Connie's drunk instigating.
"Yeah, Eren Jeager in da house!" Connie screams. "Jeager bomb!!!!!" He throws a ball and completely misses the cup. Ymir bursts out laughing and Jean slaps his forehead.
"Oh my gosh, I get it, okay!" You say out loud, the alcohol in your system making your cheeks heat up, as well as from the embarrassment you're feeling. And when Erens eyes flit down to your chest, your flight mode kicks in, "you know what! I'll go throw these out" as you grab the empty bottles that Armin, you, and Mikasa have accumulated in the past hour, which is only about four or five cans, and leave the gaming room with your heart beating in your ears.
You were livid and needed to get out of there. You weren't mad at your friends, but you wished they could've helped you and not made it seem like you were going around desperate for a sliver of information on Eren. You were livid at the fact that Eren is a complete ass. He's a sweetheart? Really, Sasha? You open the trash can and throw the drinks out. Eren was just as rude as he was in the theater. To think that you were actually excited when you heard his name-
"Still owe me."
You instinctively flinch due to the fact that you were just thinking about him. "Uh." You turn around to face him. He leans on the opposite counter, confidence and charisma flowing off of him, and you suddenly see why he has such a reputation. "Maybe if you weren't such a bitch about it," You explain slowly, "I'd be more than happy to pay it back."
Eren did not expect that response, holding a hand to his heart. "Ouch." He feigns hurt. "I buy myself a drink, a girl spills it, and now I'm the bitch?"
"You could've been so much nicer about it!" You defend.
"I could say the same thing about you. What were you saying back there? Who even is that guy?" He thinks, tousling his hair. " Yeah, that's what you said." He takes a sip of from his red solo cup. "Why don't you preach what you teach?"
"Ugh! You grunt as you take another mikes lemonade from the cooler and pop it open, mostly because you can't stand to look at him anymore. "I meant that I didnt know who you were! As in Eren, not the fact I knew you from the movies. I didn't know your name."
"How do you not know who I am?" He says. It comes off as an arrogant question to you, and you scoff in reply.
"I don't care who you are." You let out, the alcohol in your system making you testy.
"Well, now you do." Eren says, pushing off the counter and looking you up and down. "See you around." As he walks away, he turns around "Oh, nice dress." Turning back around with a smirk and disappearing around a corner.
"Ugh!" You say to yourself, taking a giant swing of your drink. A night full of confusion, yet there's one thing you know now, something you're certain of.
You hate Eren.

New chapter time!
Psychoborrower
Chapter 5
“So, what are you? Ah- sorry. That didn’t sound as rude in my head, but, um…”
There was really no point in hiding anything anymore. He’d not only seen me at that point, but I was riding on his shoulder. And if I didn’t answer, he’d likely just find other stupid questions to ask me.
“I’m a borrower. Basically, we’re tiny humans. Heh… don’t tell my parents I said that, though. They hate humans. Actually, yeah, if you ever run into them, don’t talk to them at all. I’ll never hear the end of it.”
“Got it. I’m guessing you’re breaking a bunch of rules just by being here, huh?”
I chuckled. “Oh yeah. Used my psychic powers, ran away from home, interacted with humans… Y’know, all this time I’ve been telling myself that if I became a Psychonaut, my parents would finally accept me. But now that I think about it, they’ll probably be pissed beyond belief if they ever see me again.”
Raz went quiet for a minute as he continued to walk towards the lake. I had a feeling it had something to do with his dad. He didn’t have much time left at camp, from the sound of it. And with this whole evil plot going on, there was even less time to squeeze in everything he wanted to learn.
“I’m sorry you can’t stay longer. And that I was so hard on you before.”
“Huh? Oh, don’t worry about that. And… I’ll figure something out with my Dad. I’m not sure what yet, but… I’ll think of something.”
When we got to the lake, I had to hide myself in the collar of his turtleneck sweater. I would’ve turned invisible, but I’m not able to hold it long, and it takes a minute to recharge, so I couldn’t risk being seen. Especially not with Bobby still lurking around, looking for kids to bully. At least, that’s what we thought at first.
Like Dogen, he was brainless. Walking around like a zombie and droning out “TV…” over and over.
Is it wrong to say it might not be such a terrible thing for Bobby to be brainless?
After he left, Raz met up with Lili. She had additional information, such as Milla leaving in a hurry like Sasha did, and transmissions over the camp loudspeakers from Oleander, mumbling about his plans in his sleep.
From the sound of it, we were the only ones left who could do anything. Besides Ford, all the adults were gone, and all the other kids were already de-brained.
It was up to us. This truly was our first Psychonauts mission.
And for some reason, Lili really wanted to make out with Raz.
It’s a part of camp culture that everyone wants a romantic summer fling, so it didn’t surprise me, but this was not the time to be talking about it. I also didn’t wanna be this close to Raz while he was kissing her. It’s just gross.
If you can believe it, something even worse than those two kissing ended up happening.
A giant fish monster jumped out of the bushes, grabbed Lili with its lure, and pushed Raz to the ground, sending me tumbling a couple inches away.
We were both shocked and terrified, but Lili wasn’t having it.
“Oh no, you did NOT just hit my boyfriend!”
Apparently the monster wasn’t one to take sass lightly, so its only response was to shove her into its mouth and stomp off into the lake.
Needless to say, witnessing that shook me to my core. All borrowers fear larger animals because they might try to eat us. It’s a valid fear for us, but it’s not something most humans have to worry about since there aren’t many larger creatures that they encounter on a regular basis. So to see something that posed such a threat to beings who always seemed invincible in my eyes…
“Flint? You there, buddy?”
I snapped out of my spiraling to see Raz hovering over me, waving his hand in front of my face.
“Y-Yeah, I’m good.”
He let out a relieved sigh and gently scooped me up.
“C’mon, we’ve gotta go save Lili. We can follow the monster in the bathysphere.”
He put me back on his shoulder and headed onto the dock. If I had the choice, I would’ve rather sat this one out. I was way too vulnerable in the physical world, and I couldn’t exactly fight well either. But I also didn’t want to be left alone on the beach in case that thing came back for me. Or, y’know, just a regular seagull or something.
I kept reminding myself as the bathysphere submerged that Raz was just as scared as I was. We were going to the bottom of the lake. If anything went wrong, there was a chance that he’d fall victim to his curse and die instantly.
When we reached the bottom, we entered a huge air bubble, allowing us to get out and continue on foot. All around us were the destroyed remains of various buildings. There was a whole town under the lake, reduced to ruins. The sight was haunting and eerie, but also strangely beautiful. The green glow of the coral and the water flowing around us outside the bubble gave the place an otherworldly feel.
After searching for a bit, we found the remains of a bell tower. It was mostly in tact, so with a pull of the rope, Raz was able to ring the bell and lure the monster right to us.
There was no way to get close enough to fight it, so we relied on smashing up crates of nails whenever it tried to swallow us. We were chased all over the lake’s floor, and it wasn’t until we led the beast to an oyster bed that we were finally able to defeat it.
Still, there was no sign of Lili.
According to Ford’s observations, the monster was once an ordinary lungfish, but it had been mutated. There were various lumps and implants all over its head. It seemed the creature had been modified into its current form so that it could be controlled and used to kidnap the campers for Oleander’s evil plan.
Never thought I’d feel bad for a big scary fish monster but here we are.
Ford suggested we try entering its mind to see if we could free it from his control, and it was then that I realized Raz took Sasha’s psycho-portal.
“Did you seriously steal that?”
“I’m gonna give it back to him! Besides, we’ll need it to find Lili and the others.”
With a swift throw, the portal locked onto the monster’s head, and the gateway was open. The only minds I’d ever entered were the counselors, so I had no idea what to expect.
Definitely didn’t expect Raz and I to project into a miniature city populated entirely by lungfish.
The citizens screamed out in terror and ran when we appeared, and who could blame them? We towered over their buildings. We were… monsters.
Oh. Oh wow. Ford wasn’t kidding when he said the lungfish was also afraid of us. Or, at least Raz. Probably not me.
“Huh. Looks like we’re on the same page for once on how weird this feels.”
“Hey, wait, why are you still projecting yourself like that?”
I crossed my arms. “Why would I choose to be small and weak if I don’t have to?”
“I don’t think you’re weak. I just… it doesn’t seem healthy to hold it for this long. I remember something similar happened in True Psychic Tales Issue #325-”
“Those are just comics.”
“Based on actual events!”
Our argument was interrupted by a nearby lungfish screaming in pain until he dropped dead.
“You killed him.”
“I didn’t mean to!”
“Then stop shouting!”
Another lungfish ran over to us and started jumping up and down to get our attention.
“Hey! Giant monsters! Over here! Your assistance is needed for the resistance!”
It turns out the implants manifested in the form of an alter ego of Coach Oleander, known as Kochamara. He ruled over the city and controlled everyone by sending out propaganda from the radio tower. It was his influence that made the lake monster kidnap all the campers.
A few civilians were planning to stage a rebellion and take back their home from Kochamara, but many of them had been imprisoned, so we were the perfect candidates to break them out of jail. And if we helped them, we’d be able to get answers on where Lili was taken.
Raz went ahead and smashed open the prison, earning the name “Goggalor” from the terrified citizens.
I was… frustrated, to say the least.
Why did HE get to be the cool giant monster who saves the town? I mean, I’ve been tiny all my life, don’t you think I’ve earned the chance to be giant just once?
That competitive streak in me reared its ugly head again, and I was overcome with the urge to one-up him.
I met up with the freed prisoners, who were all still singing Goggalor’s praises.
“Hello, citizens! I’m with him. We’re kind of a cool giant monster package deal. So, need anything else destroyed? Got a cool name for me?”
The lungfish looked at each other in awkward silence until one of them finally spoke up.
“Uh… your name is… Stompy? Yeah, Stompy. And we do need another one of our comrades freed, but he’s imprisoned on the other side of that tunnel-”
“Great, thanks for the tip!”
Maybe I was a tad overzealous. If I stuck around to listen, I would’ve known that the tunnel was equipped with deadly lasers. But I didn’t. So I walked straight through there, and was painfully zapped.
I was able to back out of the tunnel in time before I could lose a projection layer, but my focus was completely thrown off, making me revert to borrower form.
The surrounding lungfish saw this and took the opportunity to ambush me.
“Stompy has been weakened! Capture him and turn him over to Kochamara!”
I tried to fight them off, but I was greatly outnumbered. They dragged me off into an airplane, and I was locked in before I could escape.
As the plane took off, a broadcast with Coach Oleander’s voice came through on the radio.
“We’ve gotten word that Goggalor’s pathetic associate Stompy has just been compromised! He may seem harmless now, but citizens are advised to remain alert on the off-chance that Goggalor comes to his aid. Not that he would, of course, being the horrible monster that he is. Regardless, you can all rest assured that our volunteer navy will bring this destructive menace to justice! Kidnappingchildrenisgood.”
I made my way to the front of the plane, where two copilot lungfish were seated.
“Hey! Can’t you guys tell you’re being brainwashed?”
“You have the right to remain silent, Stompy. Anything you say can and will be held against you when Kochamara is pummeling you.”
“That doesn’t make any sen-”
“SILENCE!!!”
I spent the rest of the flight begrudgingly agreeing to their terms. I could only hope that Raz would rescue me sooner rather than later. And that he wouldn’t rub it in my face that he was right about me relying on my false projection too much.
Still, it was beyond frustrating that he expected me to be able to defend myself at my true size. I was useless. Far too weak to ever be a Psychonaut…
If Sasha and Milla really did know the truth about me all along, that had to be the reason they refused to let me join them. I was beyond qualified, but that didn’t matter. I would never be human.
It hurt. It really did. Why couldn’t they have just been upfront if they knew the entire time? It would’ve saved me so much trouble. I could’ve gone home, given up on my powers for good. But instead, I wasted all that time training for nothing. Ford said they wouldn’t turn me away, and I wanted to believe him, but I couldn’t help but feel like they already did a long time ago.
The plane landed on the small nearby island where the radio tower was stationed. I was escorted off by the pilots, where I was met with the towering Kochamara.
“Well, look what we have here.”
I scoffed. “Yeah, yeah, shut up.”
“But I have a proposition for you, Stompy. From one little guy to another…”

Heart Break High : Season 2
I think this season was a bit darker than season 1, even if the end showed growth and acknowledgment.
Amerie was doing her best to be a better person.
What I didn't like was the absence of parents (like in Euphoria).
I was heartbroken when I learned the truth about Rowan's brother.
Also, I would have been great to see a throuple between Amerie, Rowan and Malakai.
Is Timothy Voss supposed to be Spencer's father?
I think that the abortion was none necessary. They have plenty of condoms at this point.
But I think that the magic from season 1 was lost.
Btw is the new generation all queer?
What can we expect after the school burned down? It was definitively a night to remember.
Some quotes :
"- It's up to 68 comments. I'm a monster." (Amerie - Episode 2)
"- You're just an equal opportunity arsehole." (Episode 2)
"- How can you love me if you think I'm that kind of person?" (Amerie - Episode 2)
"- See, you do care. I knew it." (Amerie - Episode 2) - This is just so typical of you. You're making drama out of nothing." (Malakai - Episode 2)
"- Sir, no offense, but what exactly are we doing? (Spencer) - Other than breaking child labor laws. - Are we digging our own graves? I'm not really into that." (Ant - Episode 3)
"- There's like... There's like a code, right? Like, you don't out someone if they're queer? (Malakai) - Oh, you mean the being-a-decent-person code?" (Darren - Episode 3)
"- I don't wanna hurt her. (Malakai) - You can't hide who you are to protect other people." (Darren - Episode 3)
"- I mean, I'm not about to start protesting. (Missy) - Oh, my God. Yeah. Just keep him down there. They can't say anything stupid when their mouth is full." (Sasha - Episode 5)
"- Uh, I think sometimes we cling to a few nice moments with someone and make them bigger than they were. But actually, we've spent the majority of the time forcing something that doesn't fit." (Rowan)
"- I could just tell Malakai wasn't all in. And I deserve someone who is... I think everyone does." (Amerie - Episode 5)
"- Don't turn up at your ex-girlfriend's house asking for tips on how to win back the guy you left her for." (Amerie - Episode 5)
"- You're smart, but in a way that never makes other people feel dumb." (Episode 5)
"- Quinni, I love you. But the world can't always play by your rules." (Darren - Episode 5)
"- I like it 'cause it's a reminder that the most beautiful love stories can sometimes have painful beginnings." (Rowan - Episode 5)
"- But I don't buy any of that shit she was saying. You always have a choice about the kind of man you wanna be." (Missy - Episode 5)
"- Look, I know things have been really, really hard, but you should at least stay and try to sort your shit out. Otherwise, you'll never know if you left 'cause you wanted to, or 'cause you were running away like a little bitch." (Episode 6)
"- I'm looking for my friend Quinni. She's been AWOL for three days. Have you seen her? (Darren) - Sorry, I didn't feel like replying." (Quinni - Episode 6)
"- You've been avoiding me. (Rowan) - No. Just giving you a chance to miss me." (Amerie - Episode 6)
"- I wanna change. (Spencer) - All right, well, it's easy to say, but it actually requires some meaningful action." (Missy - Episode 7)
"- I just wanted to say make this a night to remember, not one to regret." (Zoe - Episode 8)
"- I feel like someone's always gonna be making a sacrifice if they'd be with me." (Harper - Episode 8)
"- There's all kinds of ways to love someone, to be with someone. You don't have to play by other people's rules." (Episode 8)
"- Well, at least I have a heart. Yours is just a piece of dog shit." (Amerie - Episode 8)
"- I wanted you to see how much I do under the surface that no one ever sees. I've been performing who I thought I should be for my entire life. I don't think I know who I am anymore. I'm gonna find out, but I don't wanna lose you in the process." (Quinni - Episode 8)

WITH YOU II | [6] KNOCKING ON HEAVEN's DOOR
Daryl Dixon x oc!Charlie
Summary: Charlie disagrees with Rick and is angry with how he treats Aaron. As the group wanders down the road, she has some sad realizations. Standing in front of Alexandria’s gates makes Charlie emotional.
Warnings: language, violence
Words: 5584
A/N: Now, the real story begins my dear readers. Enjoy!!
Tumblr media
Charlie tried to believe in Washington, its promise of a better life. But nothing could have prepared her for the sight that greeted her as she approached the city gates. The gates towered higher than any structure Charlie had seen in a long time. She stood before the towering gates of Alexandria, her heart pounding with a mixture of hope and excitement. She tightened her fists, nails digging into a delicate skin.
Maybe it was the place Charlie was dreaming since this craziness broke out?
Rick's gaze flickered over Aaron before settling back on Sasha and Charlie. Something in his demeanor shifted, a storm brewing beneath his usually composed exterior. Charlie stood frozen, her eyes wide with shock and anger as Rick's fist collided with Aaron's jaw. The sound echoed in the tense silence of the room, sending a shiver down her spine. She was disbelieved as she watched Aaron stagger backward, clutching his injured jaw.
"Rick, what the hell?!" Charlie's voice trembled with a mixture of fury and dismay, her gaze locking onto his hardened expression. She immediately kneeled next to a man who got knocked down. "Me and Sasha, we didn't see him. If he wanted to hurt us, he could have."
"Anybody see anything?" Rick ignored what she said and turned his attention to Glenn and Daryl who were checking the nearby area.
"Just a lot of places to hide," said Asian man.
"All right, keep looking."
"Rick!" Charlie called. "Do you hear what I said? Stop acting like a crazy man."
But he ignored her, again.
Charlie didn't trust Aaron entirely, her instincts urging caution even as her weary soul longed for the solace of trust. She knew she couldn't afford to let her guard down completely, not in a world where betrayal lurked around every corner
"That's a hell of a right cross there, Rick," groaned Aaron from the ground.
"Sit him up," Rick commanded.
"I think it's better if..."
"It's okay," the man touched Charlie's arm in reassurance.
"He's fine. Sit him up," Rick said with annoyance. Charlie rolled her eyes at his demeanor.
"Are you really okay?" Charlie asked the man to be entirely sure.
"You're being cautious," Aaron nodded. "I completely understand..."
She placed a hand on his back, offering him support with a small, reassuring smile. Aaron's gaze met hers, gratitude flickering in his eyes as he accepted her offer. With a slight wince, he shifted his weight, allowing Charlie to steady him as he sat up. As Aaron settled into a more comfortable position, Charlie lingered beside him.
"How many of your people are out there?" Grimes asked. He once again stepped into Sheriff Rick persona. "You have a flare gun. You have it to signal your people. How many of them are there?"
"Does it matter?"
"Yes," the man nodded. "Yes it does."
"I mean, of course, it matters how many people are actually out there, but does it matter how many people I tell you are out there?" Aaron asked with a scoff. "Because I'm pretty sure no matter what number I say...8? 32? 444? Zero? No matter what I say, you're not going to trust me."
Charlie couldn't tear her gaze away from Rick as he paced back and forth, his frustration palpable in every tense movement. She watched as his jaw clenched, his brows furrowing deeper with each passing moment. The air around him crackled with tension, his annoyance radiating outwards like a storm gathering on the horizon."Well, it's hard to trust anyone who smiles after getting punched in the face."
"How about a guy who leaves bottles of water for you in the road?" Aaron was now the one to ask.
"How long you people been following us?"
"Long enough to see that you practically ignore a pack of roamers on your trail. Long enough to see that despite a lack of food and water, you never turned on each other. You're survivors." starnger said in amazement. "And you are people. Like I said, and I hope you won't punch me for saying it again, that is the most important resource in the world."
Charlie could feel the tension in the room mounting, a heavy weight pressing down upon them all. She knew that Rick was struggling, his burden of leadership heavier than ever in the face of uncertainty. But even as empathy tugged at her heart, she couldn't shake the sense of apprehension that coiled in the pit of her stomach.
"How many others are out there?" he repeated the question.
"One." Aaron said. Rick let out a sharp scoff. It cut through the tense atmosphere like a knife, drawing the attention of everyone in the room."I knew you wouldn't believe me. If it's not words, if it's not pictures, what would it take to convince you that this is for real? What if I drove you to the community? All of you? We leave now, we'll get there by lunch."
"I'm not sure how the 15 of us are gonna fit in the car you and your one friend drove down here in," snickered Rick.
"We drove separately. If we found a group, we wanted to be able to bring them all home. There's enough room for all of us."
"And you're parked just a couple miles away, right?"
"East on Ridge Road, just after you hit Route 16." Aaron confessed. "We wanted to get them closer, but then the storm came, blocked the road. We couldn't clear it."
"Yeah, you've really thought this through."
"Rick," Aaron said with more stern voice. "If I wanted to ambush you, I'd do it here. You know, light the barn on fire while you slept. Pick you off as you ran out the only exit.  You can trust me."
As Rick's frustration simmered in the air, Charlie felt a surge of defiance rise within her. She couldn't stand idly by, letting distrust and fear dictate her actions. Despite the doubts that lingered in the depths of her mind, she made a conscious decision to trust Aaron.
With a determined exhale, Charlie stepped forward, her gaze locking onto Rick's. "I'll check out the cars," Charlie said without thinking, probably still inspired by Michonne.
"There aren't any cars." Rick said.
"There's only one way to find out," Charlie argued.
"We don't need to find out."
"We do," Michonne decided to back her friend up.
"You were able to trust Gabriel after knowing what he did. You believed Eugene just because he uses difficult words," Charlie said. "And you trust me, even though you know what I did. You're sure of what you believe in, and I respect that. You know I do...But I need to check it. To prove something to myself."
"Your way is dangerous, mine isn't." Grimes said immediately.
"Passing up someplace where we can live?"
"We need to find out what this is," Michonne agreed.
"I want to do it," Charlie said with a firm voice.
"Then I will, too," Glenn said.
"Abraham," Rick called and turned to the ginger man.
"Yeah," he nodded. "I'll walk with them."
"Rosita?"
The girl shrugged and then nodded.
"If there's trouble, you got enough firepower?" Rick asked.
"We got what we got."
"If you're not back in 60 minutes we'll come." he nodded at her. "Which might be just what they want."
"I'm coming too," Noah said and walked to Charlie.
"To do what?" she snorted. "Be a human catch? You stay."
"Then I'll go," Carl announced.
"We will be back soon," Charlie said and made sure she had enough of weapons on her. Then she ruffled Carl's hair with a smile. "See you in 60 minutes."
With determination fueling their steps, Charlie set out down the desolate road, their eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of the cars Aaron had mentioned. They were venturing into unknown territory, trusting in Aaron's words. But as they walked, she couldn't shake the nagging doubt that gnawed at the edges of her mind. What if Aaron had led them astray? What if they were walking straight into a trap?
"JTC 16."
"Weapons up. Eyes open, everybody," Glenn said, squeezing his gun. "You see someone coming at us, you fire."
"Copy that," Abraham said.
"So if we see someone we just shot them?" Michonne asked.
"It's a good question," Charlie agreed with Michonne. "What if they're someone like us? What if Aaron is telling the truth?"
"We're five people walking with guns." Glenn asked. "No one's coming up to say hello."
"But that's exactly what happened," Charlie argued.
"If it's someone like us, we should be afraid of them."
As Glenn's words echoed in the stillness of the abandoned highway, Charlie felt a knot form in the pit of her stomach. They weren't the same people they once were, the ones who clung to notions of morality in a world gone mad. They had done things, seen things, that had changed them irrevocably. The weight of guilt settled heavy upon her shoulders, a burden she could no longer bear. Michonne's hand on her shoulder brought her back to the present, a silent gesture of support amidst the turmoil raging within her.
"People like us, saved the priest."
"And we did that completely unnecessary," Charlie murmured under her nose, still not being a fan of Gabe.
"Saved a girl who rolled up to the prison with the Governor. Saved a crazy lady with a sword." Michonne added. "He saw that."
"I don't know what he saw." Glenn said, still not convinced.
As they rounded a bend in the road, Charlie's eyes fell upon the unexpected sight of a camper parked in the middle of the desolate highway. Relief flooded through her at the sight, a flicker of hope igniting within her weary heart. It was a stark reminder that amidst the chaos and despair, there were still good people in the world, people willing to offer aid and shelter to those in need. Charlie couldn't help but feel a sense of relief towards Aaron. In that moment, she knew that no matter how dark the world may seem, there would always be good people willing to shine a light in the darkness.
"Look," Charlie breathed, her voice tinged with awe as she pointed towards the camper.
As the group approached the cluster of cars on the desolate highway, a rustling sound erupted from the nearby woods, sending a shiver down Charlie's spine. Instinct kicked in, and she tightened her grip on the handle of her weapon, her senses on high alert.
"Not one step closer, asshole!" Abraham warned whoever was behind the bushes.
Three walkers emerged from the shadows behind the survivor, their groans echoing through the silent woods. She felt relieved that it wasn't a trap, and that she once again mistrusted Aaron. With a steadying breath, Charlie lowered her gun, the weight of doubt heavy in her heart. Gripping the handle of her axe tightly, she stepped forward, her resolve unwavering as she prepared to face the walkers head-on."I got them."
The group stood over the stash of supplies they had found near the abandoned cars. Boxes of canned food, bottles of water, and other essential items lay scattered around them. As Charlie surveyed the gathered supplies, a swell of pride rose within her. Aaron had been right all along, and Charlie couldn't help but feel a surge of pride at having proved Rick wrong. They had trusted Aaron, taken a chance on his word, and it had paid off. Charlie couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of faith in their ability to navigate the challenges of this harsh world.
"This, this is ours now." Rick announced as if expecting some kind of protest.
"There's more than enough," Aaron nodded.
"It's ours whether or not we go to your camp."
Charlie furrowed her eyebrows at the sudden revelation.
"What do you mean? Why wouldn't we go?" Carl asked.
"If he were lying or if he wanted to hurt us..."
"But he isn't," Charlie finished her thought.
"And he doesn't," she nodded. "We need this. So we're going, all of us. Somebody say something if they feel differently."
Charlie looked into Rick's eyes with determination.
"I don't know, man," Daryl said. "This barn smells like horse shit."
She glanced over at him, offering a silent nod of gratitude and acknowledgement. Daryl met her gaze with a gruff nod of his own, his expression stoic but his eyes reflecting a hint of camaraderie. Though he wasn't one for grand gestures or flowery words, Charlie knew that his presence beside her spoke volumes.
"Yeah," Rick nodded. "We're going. So where are we going?"
"Well, every time I've done this, I've been behind the wherl driving recruits back..."
"You're not driving," Michonne said. She trusted Aaron a bit more now, but she had been through a lot. "So if you want to get home, you'll have to tell us how."
As the first rays of sun disappeared behind the horizon, Charlie stood beside the battered van, her hands busy with the task of preparing it for the road ahead. Supplies were stowed away, weapons secured, and makeshift repairs made to ensure their journey would be as smooth as possible.
Lost in her thoughts, Charlie barely noticed when Daryl approached, his footsteps echoing softly against the pavement. She could sense his presence beside her, his silent solidarity a comforting presence amidst the uncertainty of their journey. "Need a hand?" Daryl's gruff voice broke through the stillness, his offer genuine despite the rough edges of his tone.
Charlie glanced up, meeting his gaze with a nod of appreciation. "If you're offering," she replied, her voice tinged with weariness.
Daryl fell into step beside her, his movements efficient as he helped with the final preparations. Glancing at Charlie from the corner of his eye, Daryl observed her tense posture and furrowed brow. He knew she was grappling with her own demons, but he couldn't shake the worry that he might inadvertently add to her burden.
"I... I'm sorry if I seemed distant earlier. I didn't mean."
Charlie stiffened beside him, her jaw clenched with suppressed emotion. She turned to him, her eyes flashing with a mixture of anger and hurt. "Sorry?" she echoed, her voice laced with bitterness. "For what? Ignoring me?"
Daryl winced at the accusation, his guilt gnawing at him like a relentless beast. "I didn't mean to," he protested, his voice tinged with desperation. "I was just..."
Charlie's expression softened slightly at his apology, but the anger still simmered beneath the surface. "You can't just shut me out whenever you feel like it, Daryl," she said quietly, her tone tinged with disappointment. "We're supposed to be a team."
Daryl nodded, his own guilt weighing heavily upon him. "I know," he murmured, his gaze dropping to the ground. "It won't happen again. I promise."
"Save it," she answered. "Just don't do it again."
Daryl felt a powerful urge to reach out to her, to offer comfort and reassurance in the only way he knew how. But as he moved to embrace her, something inside him stopped him in his tracks. He knew that Charlie needed space, that his actions had caused her pain, and he didn't want to make things worse by overstepping his bounds. Instead, Daryl hesitated for a moment before reaching out to touch her back, his gesture gentle. It was a small gesture, but it spoke volumes of his desire to be there for her, to offer support and understanding in her time of need.
Charlie stiffened at his touch, the tension between them palpable in the air. But after a moment, she relaxed slightly, allowing his hand to rest on her back in a silent acknowledgment of his presence. Daryl's heart swelled with a mix of relief and gratitude as Charlie offered a slight smile and touched his arm before walking away. It was a small gesture, but it spoke volumes to him, a sign that perhaps their bond wasn't irreparably damaged.
Charlie sat in the back of the van, her fingers tapping anxiously against her thigh. The darkness outside pressed against the windows, thick and impenetrable. She adjusted her gear, the weight of the mission settling heavy on her shoulders. As if summoned by her thoughts, Abraham appeared at the van's door, his silhouette outlined against the faint glow of a nearby streetlamp. He swung the door open and climbed in, his presence commanding the small space. “Excited?”
“If you can be excited after everything we’ve been through.”
Abraham settled himself beside her, his gaze steady. "Good. Remember, in the army, all important missions are at night. It's when we operate best, when the element of surprise is on our side."
Charlie leaned in, her eyes meeting his. "I know. I just wish it didn't always have to be so... intense." Abraham gave her a small, understanding smile. "You know," she said with a grin, "my brothers were in the army. I've heard my fair share of military stories and jokes."
"Really?"
"Yep," she nodded. "I feel like an army veteran thanks to them."
"That's interesting," he nodded. "Bob knew one of them, right?"
"Luke."
"You don't know where they are?"
"Dead, probably."
"You believe that?" he asked. "Well, let me tell you something," Abraham continued, his voice gaining strength. "Soldiers are some of the toughest sons of bitches I've ever met. They're trained to survive in the worst conditions imaginable, to adapt and overcome no matter what."
Charlie felt a wave of emotion wash over her. It was the first time someone had spoken about her brothers with such conviction, such unwavering belief in their strength and resilience. For so long, she had carried the weight of her loss alone, her brothers' memory a bittersweet reminder of the life they had lost. But now, with Abraham's reassurance ringing in her ears, Charlie allowed herself to entertain the possibility that her brothers were still out there, fighting to survive against all odds.
"I think they're somewhere out there. Just like us," Abraham placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, a silent gesture of support and understanding. "They'd be proud of you, Charlie," he said quietly. "You're tough as nails, just like them."
“You don’t know them,” she sniffed.
“I don’t have to,” he said. “Look at you. You won’t tell me you’re the only tough one in your family.”
"Thank you," she almost whispered.
"Don't give up on them, Charlie," he said earnestly. "They're out there, I know it. And until we have proof otherwise, we have to believe they're still fighting, just like we are."
As Charlie wiped away a stray tear, trying to compose herself, she heard the familiar footsteps of Rosita and Tara approaching. She quickly straightened up, hoping to hide any signs of her distress, but it was too late. They had seen her.
Rosita noticed their arrival too, and his usual jovial expression softened as she exchanged a concerned glance with the other women. "Everything alright, Charlie?" she asked, her voice laced with genuine concern. "Have you made her cry?"
"No," Charlie answered for the man. "I'm fine. Really. Just emotional about everything that is happening."
"So, do we trust Aaron?" Rosita ventured, her voice quiet but determined.
Charlie sighed, the weight of uncertainty settling over her once more. "I want to," she admitted, her gaze drifting to the horizon. "But after everything we've been through, it's hard to trust anyone completely."
"If there's a chance that Alexandria exists, that there are people out there who can offer us safety and a sense of normalcy, isn't it worth taking?" Tara asked.
Charlie considered her words carefully, the prospect of sanctuary tempting yet fraught with uncertainty. "I guess we won't know unless we try," she conceded, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
Rosita nodded in agreement, her resolve firm. "Then let's make sure we're ready for whatever comes our way," she said, her tone determined.
A sudden movement jolted the van. Charlie's heart skipped a beat as she grabbed onto the nearest surface to steady herself, her muscles tensing with anticipation. Her eyes moved to Carl and Judith to check if they're alright. As the van surged forward, narrowly escaping the herd of walkers and the stalled car, a wave of relief washed over the group. But their respite was short-lived as the van suddenly lurched to a stop, the engine sputtering to a halt with a final gasp of effort.
Panic gripped Charlie's chest as she realized what had happened. "What's going on?" she demanded, her voice tinged with fear.
Daryl cursed under his breath, his hands frantically working to restart the engine to no avail. "We've lost them," he growled, his frustration evident.
"What do you mean lost?" asked Carl with panic in his voice.
Before they could even begin to formulate a plan, a collective gasp rippled through the group as they caught sight of a massive herd of walkers on the horizon, their relentless march bringing them ever closer. Charlie's heart hammered in her chest as she scanned the landscape for any sign of their missing companions. And then, amidst the chaos, she saw him—a lone figure standing amidst the sea of undead, his gaze locked on their van with a mixture of desperation and determination.
"Who is that?" Maggie whispered, her voice barely audible over the pounding of Charlie's heartbeat.
"Help!" the starnger called, but didn't came closer to the van. He was standing on the side of the road.
As Charlie moved to open the van door and rush to the injured man's aid, Carol's voice stopped her in her tracks like a sudden gust of wind. "Charlie, don't you dare," her tone was firm, commanding attention.
Charlie turned to face Carol, her frustration simmering just below the surface. "We can't just leave him out there," she argued, her voice edged with urgency.
"We have to prioritize the safety of the group," she replied, her tone unwavering.
Charlie bristled at Carol's words, her concern for the injured man warring with her duty to protect her friends. "What if it was one of us out there?" she shot back, her voice tinged with frustration.
Carol's expression softened slightly, a flicker of understanding crossing her features. "I know it's hard, Charlie, but we can't risk our lives for one person," she said gently, her voice tinged with empathy.
"Yes, we can."
Charlie couldn't ignore the gnawing sense of guilt that tugged at her heartstrings. With each passing moment, the injured man's cries for help grew louder, echoing in her ears like a haunting melody of desperation. Without a word, she pushed open the van door and stepped out into the chaos, determined to do whatever it took to save the stranger's life. She was met with a sudden display of solidarity from Daryl and Abraham. Without a word exchanged, the two men swiftly reached for their guns, their movements fluid and decisive as they prepared to fend off any threats that might come their way.
Just as she reached the injured man, Rosita sprang into action, her resolve matching Charlie's as she followed her without hesitation.
"My bagpack," he said. "Please take it! I have a flare there!"
With a shared glance between them, they hoisted the stranger's weight between them, their steps quick and purposeful as they hurried back towards the safety of the van.
"Thank you," he breathed out. "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you."
"Who is he?" Sasha furrowed her eyebrows as she missed the banter and whole situation.
"Yeah," Rosita breathed out, tired from carrying the man. "Who are you?"
"Eric," he replied, his voice hoarse with pain. "My name is Eric."
"What were you doing out there?"
"I was waiting for you. I was out there with Aaron," he answered.
"You are from Alexandria?" Maggie asked, sitting down next to him, taking out the bandage. "So, what is it like?" she asked, her tone filled with genuine curiosity.
He went on to describe the bustling streets and sturdy walls of Alexandria, painting a picture of a thriving community where people worked together to rebuild and reclaim a sense of normalcy in the midst of chaos.
"There's a real sense of community there," he explained, his voice tinged with warmth. "Everyone looks out for each other, like one big family."
Maggie listened intently, her eyes shining with interest as she imagined the possibilities that awaited them in this new sanctuary. "Sounds like a place worth fighting for."
"It is," he confirmed. " And you guys really know how to make an entrance," he quipped, a small smirk playing at the corners of his lips despite the pain he was clearly in.
Charlie couldn't help but chuckle at his remark, grateful for the momentary respite from the gravity of their situation. "Sorry about that," she replied with a smile, her tone light but genuine.
Eric waved off her apology with a dismissive gesture, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "No worries," he said with a grin. "It's not every day we get rescued by a band of fearless survivors."
"And what happened to you?" Carol asked.
"I was running away..." he started. "Eh, long story. Thank God, you were here."
"Yeah," she murmured, while helping him.
With the tension easing slightly inside the van, Eric's revelation about a nearby town sparked a renewed sense of hope among the group. Charlie felt a surge of anticipation course through her veins as she exchanged excited glances with her companions.
"A town?" she repeated, her voice tinged with disbelief.
Eric nodded eagerly, his eyes alight with excitement despite his obvious discomfort. "Yeah, just a few miles down the road," he confirmed, his voice filled with hope.
Without hesitation, the group sprang into action, their movements swift and purposeful as they prepared to set out for the newfound sanctuary. With a quick exchange of glances, Daryl and Abraham took their positions at the front of the van, ready to lead the way. As Charlie and Eric settled into a quiet corner of the room, the warmth of safety and refuge enveloped them like a comforting embrace. Eric, ever the talkative one, launched into conversation without missing a beat. His words flowed freely, filling the room with the sound of his voice as he regaled Charlie with stories of life in Alexandria and the people he had met along the way.
She was listening carefully to every word, imagining white houses and streets of Alexandria.
As Eric spoke, Charlie found herself opening up in return, sharing snippets of her own experiences and the journey that had led her to this moment. It felt strange to confide in someone she had just met, but there was something about Eric's easygoing nature that put her at ease.
As a sudden bang reverberated through the room, Charlie and Eric exchanged a startled glance, their conversation coming to an abrupt halt. Before they could react, the door swung open, and the rest of the group poured into the room, their expressions a mixture of relief and concern.
"Eric?"
"In here!"
"Eric!"
"I'm okay," he said. "Carol helped me. Charlie was sitting with me this whole time. It's like a volleyball injury."
"It's a broken ankle," Charlie said. "At least that's what Maggie said."
"I like her," Eric smiled and pointed at her. "I'll just go to the infirmary when we get back."
As Aaron and Eric shared a tender moment, their lips meeting in a gentle kiss, Charlie felt a pang of discomfort wash over her. Turning away respectfully, Charlie silently slipped out of the room, leaving the couple alone to share their private moment. She left the room quietly.
Feeling a gentle touch on her shoulder, Charlie turned to find Rick standing beside her, his expression filled with concern. When Rick finally pulled away, he met Charlie's gaze with a look of genuine concern. "Are you alright?"
"We are all good," she nodded. Despite the comforting embrace from Rick, Charlie couldn't shake the underlying annoyance that simmered beneath the surface. "Are you alright?"
"I think so."
As Aaron made his way of the room, his footsteps echoing in the empty hallways, a sense of relief washed over him. Though his encounter with Rick had been tense, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the group's willingness to help Eric.
"I owe you," Aaron said. "All of you. And I will make sure that debt is paid in full when we get to our community. When we get to Alexandria." he said. "I'm not sure about you, but I'd rather not do any more driving tonight." he smiled and his joke just brought smiles on everyone's faces. "What about tomorrow morning?"
"That sounds fine," Rick said. "But if we're staying here for the night, you're sleeping over there."
"You really think we got to do that?"
"It's the safe play. We don't know you." Rick still sticked to his old story.
"The only way you're gonna stop me from being witn him right now is by shooting me," Aaron said and made a step almost bumping into Rick.
"Woah," Glenn stopped him and Charlie rolled her eyes.
"He told us where the camp is and surprise...he's traveling with one person," Charlie said. "Just let them be together for God's sake."
"Thank you," Aaron turned to her before entering the room where Eric was in.
As they settled around, Charlie found herself lost in thought, her mind still reeling from the events of the day. But as she sat alone in the quiet darkness, she felt a presence beside her, a familiar warmth that made her heart skip a beat.
Glancing to her side, she saw Daryl sitting next to her, his expression guarded but soft around the edges. For a moment, they sat in companionable silence, the weight of their shared experiences hanging heavy in the air.
"Hey," Daryl's voice broke the silence, his tone gentle but hesitant.
Charlie turned to him, offering a small smile of acknowledgment. "Hey," she replied softly, her voice barely above a whisper.
For a moment, they simply sat together, the silence stretching between them like a fragile thread. But then, slowly but surely, the tension began to ease, replaced by a sense of familiarity and comfort. Without a word spoken between them, she rested her head against him, feeling the reassuring strength of his presence against the uncertainty that loomed outside.
Daryl tensed slightly at her touch, his body stiffening with surprise at first. But then, as if sensing the unspoken need for comfort, he relaxed, his arm instinctively wrapping around her in a gentle embrace. For a moment, they sat together in silence, the only sound the steady rhythm of their breathing. Charlie felt a sense of peace wash over her, the weight of the world lifting from her shoulders as she found refuge in Daryl's steady presence.
And with that calmness she fell asleep.
With each passing mile, they drew closer to Alexandria, their newfound sanctuary and the promise of a fresh start. As the car rumbled along the darkened road, Charlie found herself sitting with Judith nestled in her lap, her small form a comforting weight against her chest. As Rick drove, his eyes focused on the road ahead, Charlie couldn't help but marvel at the sense of calm that settled over them.
Glancing down at Judith, Charlie couldn't suppress a smile as she watched the young girl sleep peacefully in her arms. Despite the harsh realities of their world, there was still innocence and joy to be found in the simple moments of companionship and love.
As they approached the outskirts of Alexandria, Charlie felt her heart quicken with anticipation. Though she knew that their arrival marked the beginning of a new chapter filled with its own challenges and uncertainties, she couldn't help but feel excited at the prospect of starting fresh in a place where they could finally put down roots and build a future for themselves.
As the car rolled to a stop at the gates of Alexandria, Charlie gently lifted Judith from her lap, cradling the baby in her arms. With a sense of reluctance, she turned to Rick, her heart heavy with the weight of their impending separation.
As Charlie approached the gates of Alexandria, her heart began to race in her chest, each beat echoing in her ears like a drumroll of anticipation. With each step closer, the sense of excitement and apprehension grew within her, a flurry of emotions swirling in her mind.
As she neared the gates, Charlie felt a surge of nervous energy coursing through her veins, her footsteps quickening with each passing moment.
As the gates creaked open, revealing the safe haven beyond, Charlie felt a surge of emotion wash over her. It was a moment she had never dared to dream of, a flicker of light in the abyss of despair.
Around her, the group she had come to know as family stood, their faces etched with weariness and determination. And now, they stood on the threshold of a new chapter, a sanctuary they had heard whispers of, a place called Alexandria. And as Charlie took her first steps into Alexandria, she felt a glimmer of hope ignite within her once more, a beacon of light guiding them through the darkness that lay ahead.
But for now, they were safe. For now, they were home.

Armin: It's 4 am
Sasha: Whatever. I've got a stomach, not a clock down there.

Hange, up too now: What are you guys doing up?
Armin, loudly: JESUS, can't a guy have a mental breakdown in PEACE?!

Sasha, after Armin went to lock himself in the bathroom to scream away: So, what are you doing up that early?
Hange: *says something so absolutely, uniquely unhinged the author couldn't possibly dare to transcribe it to this here web page*

Connie: Defend my thesis? Like, with a sword?

Zeke: Yeah, some of my clothes are from my enemies.
Zeke: Sometimes you kill some bastard and then go, "Ooh those are some nice pants!"

Gabi: If we grew up together, would we have snuck out?
Falco: I snuck out once for like 30 minutes. I got so scared that I ran back home and hid in bed.

Historia: Have you ever not liked someone in a romantic way but everything is just so cool. I mean look at Ymir. She’s beautiful, talented, caring even when she doesn't say it and cool but I would never like her that way.
Ymir: *smiles softly at Historia*
Historia: Oh.
Historia: Oh no

Reiner, blinking: Bert, why are we lying on the ground?
Bertholt: You got beat up by Annie and knocked unconscious.
Bertholt: I laid next to you so people would think we were just chilling.

Mikasa: Historia says you never buy her flowers. Is that true?
Ymir: To be honest, I never knew she sold flowers

Ymir: I don't "struggle with same-sex attraction", I'm actually very good at it.

Also Ymir: Need to kiss a girl or I'll die
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Yeah, Historia isn't really the kind to respond "I will hit you" to something someone said. But, you know? Maybe Zeke triggers some sort of Cain instinct in her. That makes total sense to me. The guy's very punchable.
Masterpost
Bonus of an alternative version of this one:
Yelena: We need to figure out where Levi took Zeke. If you were him, where would you go?
Floch: Strip club
Eren: Titan killing seminar
Floch: Bar
Eren: Cleaning personel convention
Floch: Strip club
Eren: Dude you already said that. Why would Levi take his arch-enemy to a strip club?
Floch: For the free buffet!

Do you think that the Denali’s learned each others’ languages. Like did Kate, Tanya, and Irina learn Spanish when Carmen and Eleazar joined? Did everyone learn the languages of Tanya, Kate, and Irina’s respective tribes because I don’t think the Slovakian language existed when the girls were humans
I feel like my Denali headcanons differ so vastly from happy, maybe I'm getting more sadistic... but you know when you go to family/friend reunions and talk to people with smiles but the second you stop you want to roll your eyes or you silently get irritated at the forced proximity?
💗The Denali Coven and their Native Tongues💗
Its not to say there is no love for one another but I mean, if you want to criticize how Carlilse thinks being a vampire condemns him to hell and then continues turning people, I mean I can at least make the argument that he was saving someone's life in a sense. But Sasha turned Tanya because she was in some way related and she wanted the company of another female. Tanya was from what we know okay with the transformation so I could see that she probably learned whatever language Sasha grew up with. I could also see Tanya not necessarily teaching Kate or Irina and wanting to keep something special between Sasha and herself.
I think Tanyas transformation changed something in Sasha, I think the curiosity of living with another vampire changed into a desire she may not have known she had originally. I think she wanted to become a mother. Maybe even felt like she was robbed of that chance like Rosalie feels. So a hundred or so years pass and they come across Kates caravan and they stop to feed. Sasha sees Kate is loyal, willing to die to protect the person she was assigned to most likely knowing it was useless, she also sees Kate bears a striking resemblance to Tanya and you know what? Tanya could use a sister right? This is where things a bit awry. Keep in mind none of these girls are children except maybe Irina, I cant check they took away the free online book I was using as reference 🥲 anyways. I just cant buy that all three women again, except maybe Irina, who grew up with families and lives were just happy with Sasha taking them away simply because they look related. All of this is to say, I dont think Kate ever shared her language with anyone until Garett. I also think that she stayed with Sasha and Tanya because, where the hell else was she going to go. Even though she was in her twenties I could see Sasha and Tanya treating her like a grumpy teenager. And Kate probably doesnt mind the label. Her and Tanya probably fight quite a bit, until she develops her powers. Then I think they just leave Kate to her devices.
Then comes Irina. Irina is supposed to be a peasant girl from a farming village, so I could see her maybe really attaching herself to the family story she gets shoved down her throat. I think Kate being so short and probably the actual younger sibling gets Kate to come out of her bubble. Irina brings out a protectiveness in both of the other sisters and it brings to a more neutral state, at least in the sense that they can be in the same room without hurling remarks at eachother. They absolutely know her native tongue just to make the transition easier. I do think once Sasha is punished by the volturi they stick to one language, and since they settled in Alaska they probably learned some Inuit and English. I do think in order to flirt with Laurent, Irina tried to speak french but her accent was pretty strong and thats why Laurent found her endearing
I think since these kinds of vampires cant sleep (which sounds so miserable pls) I think they probably pick things to learn about so I'm sure they are fluent in more than one language even if it may be hard to bring to memory. When it comes Carmen and Eleazar I think the Denalis definitely knew enough spanish to probably communicate with them but with the world changing and Eleazar being in the Volturi, they were the ones to adapt how they spoke. But I feel like Carmen thinks out loud and mumbles when shes upset and most of the time, she does this in spanish.
