still in awe over how good they are at KTANE but i think ultimately it comes down to the fact that dan and phil can communicate really well in any collaborative games (they did good in the divorce game too i think? and then obv KTANE) but whenever they have to do a singular action collaboratively they want to kill each other (decorating a house in the sims 4, i had another example i just forgot but you get what i mean). and that's so real of them to be honest.
