ijust like. scrolled thru class photos for references (had a convo wih one of my friends from class & thought about drawing people)) and ithink i hv had a new appreciation & love born in my soul for facial differentiation (?)

seeing how one persons brows r higher on their face & more defined bcos they use them very expressively. someone else having their eyes closer together than another person despite sharing other facial features and it completely changes how someone looks. the fact that no two people will have the same exact shade of skin color. dont even get me started on ears & noses. and OMG wtf is it callef. neck fat ??? i genuinely dont know what its callrd i just think its neck fst. seeing people with double chins is soo so cool like thats a whole extra special addition 2 ur face. same thing with scars and moles and acne and such. why are these traits not appreciated more where is the love for human traits. we are alive! we are alive! dont feel shame for being proof of that!!!!

ok but the encanto discourse(?) really has VERY stupid arguments from both sides.. like on one side theres non-latinoamerican ppl continually trying to impose their own standards (which.. end up being p prejudiced a lot of the time tbh..) and terminology on us (like we dont have our own) and when a group of latines dont agree they treat us like we r just ignorant (tweeting shit like "i dont think latinos know what latino means atp" (thats a literal quote btw, even tho i dont hv the full context odf tht conv)). and on the other side, some latines saying things like ‘we dont give a fck abt things like skin color here :)’ (as if colorism doesnt exist in latinoamérica bc u havent experienced it personally), or ‘we dont get offended by insignificant things like gringos xD’ (insignificant according to what? to who?). like (and im refering 2 both sides here); is it so hard to understand that ppl have experiences that differ from yours? encanto is not meant to be PERFECT representation. its meant to be representation (lets forget for a sec this is a disney movie. theres real ppl who worked on it who DO care). every latin experience is very different, and that includes latin ppl who DONT live in LATAM. i dont understad their experience and they dont understand mine. a single movie cant represent every aspect of both of our lives. same w the discussions that arise from that movie.
