• I headcanon Reader is great with things like algebra and multiplication, just maybe not word questions in math or English

Nise - She is 16yo old already traumatized by REAL WORLD girl who used to adapt to any situations to survive. Kuon - When she used the railgun for the first time... She didn't forget to think about other ppl who could be in that building. She DID NOT CARE about them in a first place. Like you know she doesn't give a fuck and have no idea why should she. *the list continues* Sniper - I just want to ask ppl to stop throw away that parts of his personality that don't fit their vision of him. Like most of the simps see him just as a kind of sexy-shmexy doll and haters only point at his mistakes. Non of them thinks about his character, non of them sees his traumas and suffering because of his own mistakes, non of them ever tried to understand his actions. The fandom's most popular character? Main5 - Yuri and Sniper is a deadly combination of idiots and the worst Rika's fear is that these two could get along. But they never really will... for various reasons. So Yuri can't get why Rika becomes so anxious about her and Sniper interactions. Nise sees Rika as a rival 'cause he takes a lot of attention (too much attention in Nise's eyes!!!) of her favorite person a.k.a Yuri. Every time Sniper needs to use bathroom or take a shower he's struggling with asking Kuon to go "for a little walk". Also Kuon can manage his dreams a bit. Senya - also I mentioned that.. long ago. “Oh...no. Those are books from the library to help me with my homework for this evening.” You let out a sigh, keeping your eyes trained on the ground as the two of you walk. 

“Ah will you be busy all evening?” Shinichiro is trying his best to hide the disappointment in his tone but you feel guilty all the same because you already agreed to hang you with him. 

“I think so.” You stop suddenly, turning to face your boyfriend knowing full well his puppy dog eyes are trained on you. “I’m really sorry Shin. I failed my maths test so I got given double the amount of homework to make up for it and it’s due for tomorrow.” 

“You failed a test!?” Shinichiro asked incredulously, temporarily forgetting that you were bailing on your plans for the evening.”

“Yeah.” You muttered, kicking at the ground absentmindedly. “I’ve always struggled with numbers I guess.” 

“I don’t believe that you’re the smartest person I know! Plus I can help you!” Shinichiro finished by jabbing his thumb into his chest as you eyed him warily. 

“You think you can help with my maths homework?”

“Sure can! It’s the only subject I’ve never failed a test in.” 

You look at him suspiciously as you considered his proposition. The two of you went to different schools so it would be impossible to verify his statement. Still, you were pretty down about failing the test so it might be nice to have his company. 

“Okay fine. You can come over and help but we can’t get distracted. I really need to pass this test.” You said it all in a rush and Shinichiro face broke out into a grin as he adjusted your bag so he could grip your hand and started pulling you along towards your house. 

“Don’t worry angel! We’re gonna nail this homework and then I’m taking you to this cute dessert place I saw the other day.”

One hour and a cup of tea later and you found yourself staring at the pristine sheet of paper in front of you, completely free of answers and unmarked by your pencil. You had insisted on having a go at solving the equations yourself before asking Shinichiro for help since you wouldn’t be able to ask him during the test. In turn, he was sat cross-legged on your bed watching you patiently, chin resting on his hand as he admired how cute your concentration face was. 

“Screw it! I give up.” You whined, throwing your pencil down so hard it bounced off the table onto the floor. 

Shinichiro stood up to retrieve the pencil, nudging you to scoot over as he sat down next to you on your desk. 

“Don’t say that. Let’s see if we can work it out together okay?” He asked with a sweet smile that made it impossible to deny him. 

You were pleasantly surprised with the way Shinichiro explained each formula to you over the next hour, patiently repeating stuff you hadn’t understood the first time around and making little notes in your maths book to help you refer back to during your lessons. 

You tried to stay focused once you began trying to solve the equations again by yourself, shivering at the sensation of Shinichiro’s warm breath on your neck when he leaned over you and pointed at various numbers on the paper. 

In all honestly, you thought he had invited himself over under the guise of helping you so that he could spend time with you doing the exact opposite but he seemed completely engrossed by the task at hand.  

With two equations left to go you felt your eyes starting to grow heavy and stifled a yawn with the back of your hand. Shinichiro was still talking as he gave you some pointers on your last answer and hadn’t even noticed that you had stopped until you cupped his cheek in your hand.

“I can finish the rest in the morning if you want to go to the dessert place Shin? I really appreciate you helping me.” 

To your surprise, Shinichiro frowned and shook his head, pointing at the remaining questions. “C’mon you’re nearly finished now.”

You laughed in response, shocked at the idea that your boyfriend would ever turn down an opportunity to go on a date with you. 

“Why are you so invested all of a sudden?”

“Because I could see you were upset earlier and I wanted to help you fix it. I know school is important to you.” He answered so easily like it was breathing and you felt completely smitten. 

Leaning forward a little shyly, you pressed a kiss to the corner of his mouth with a quiet thank you. Shinichiro’s face was bright red when you pulled away and he scratched the back of his head awkwardly as he failed to hide the smile on his face. 

You turned your attention to the paper once again despite your tiredness and suddenly felt Shinichiro’s presence looming over you as he placed his hand over yours that was holding the pencil and slowly manoeuvred it to write in the correct answers. 

“Wow great job babe! Guess you’re all done now.” He had a cheeky grin on his face and you wanted to roll your eyes but couldn’t deny the fact that you were relieved that homework was over for the evening. 

“Can we go out now?” 

“Yes please.” Shinichiro stood and offered you his hand. You wanted to tell him how grateful you were, not only for his hidden talent in maths but also for his patience and selflessness in helping you out. Instead you settled for taking his hand, not waiting a moment longer as the two of you raced out of the house cackling all the way.

carla would be a very confused yandere

he is very conflicted on whether or not he should lower his own pride by going out of his way to do so much for you

but it doesn't take him too long to make up his mind. he will manage to convince himself that what he's doing is for the higher-good.

he is a first blood for goodness sake, he should be able to do what he wants and he should be able to have what he wants

he is not a very easily pleased yandere and he often resorts to violence

you also wouldn't have a choice to be with him. you shouldn't have a choice. you're just a meer mortal in his eyes. a meer mortal he is utterly and entirely obsessed with.

he would have to abduct you, and don't try and worry about what your friends or family might think because he already has that sorted. he has the magic to do that after all.

honestly this is for your own safety and everyone else's. like i said he often resorts to violence and wont think twice before killing a rival or anyone getting in his way. carla wouldn't care to torture them physically, he'll make the death instant and get it out of the way. unless he can possibly use any of his enemies to his advantage

if you happen to have had a best friend or sibling before your abduction, he'd use them to gain as much information from them as possible. either by forcing it out of them or quickly going by a magic 'trick'.

though of course any information provided wouldn't be necessary for he'll get rid of your entire past until everything about you circles around him.

carla doesn't like to think you had a life before he took you in. it angers him greatly and it's sickening to think about what you could've been doing and with whom

with that said, your communication around the castle is stritcly limited. he will only ever allow you to talk to shin or a maid that he trusts for a limited amount of time. if shin lingers around you for too long you'll both be punished severely.

the maid is only to care for your personal needs like hygiene, or an occasional friend, but don't get too attached. carla will cut them out once he feels like the maid is stealing your attention.

you should only have eyes on him and him alone. your world should revolve around him. you should see him as your literally God and he will put you under strict training to make sure you worship him, but it can be fun sometimes ;)

Shinichiro looked at you with a slight blush. He would think how lucky he was to have you and he will give you a smile.

“Really? I bought it at a store nearby a few weeks ago.“

Shinichiro will be distracted because he was staring at you that whole time. He wouldn't get tired.

“Shin’ are you listening to me?”

You had to call him back to reality a few times because he was intently focused on just taking in your beauty

Shinichiro will compliment you every 10 minutes on how beautiful you look with a smile on his face.

He won't be overprotective but he would make sure that no one would bother you or make you uncomfortable.

Kazutora

You and Kazutora went on a date at a water park. It was a very hot day and you wanted to enjoy a day of your own a little different than usual.

As soon as you were settled in place, you quickly took off your clothes showing your swimsuit.

Kazutora would surely blush and be a little embarrassed at first. Of course he would look like that after being in jail for so long and then seeing his girlfriend in a swimsuit he would be embarrassed.

He will give you small compliments because of his embarrassment.

Kazutora can be a bit overprotective and he will make sure that no one makes you uncomfortable.

He will want to rub sunscreen on your back, not only so you don't get a sunburn but also to be closer to you. He wouldn't admit that though.

He is just an shy baby, but please don't be fooled, because that will only be in the first time.

You, Ran and Rindou had arranged to go to the beach, but Rindou warned that he would end up going later because of some problems.

As soon as you two had settled into a corner, you took off your clothes, revealing yourself in your swimsuit, which made him look at you and let out a whistle.

He wouldn't hesitate to tease you all the time, of how pretty and cute you looked in your swimsuit. Ran would only stop when he saw your red face.

I haven't written for all of the diaboys yet so this may change at a later point but currently it's Ruki. If you're wondering why I haven't posted any soulmate AU headcanons in a very long time, it's because I've been suck on his for over two years. Suck's the wrong word maybe, it's not that I feel I can't write him but I just can't find any real joy in it. Even with character's like Shu, who's one of my least favourites of the boys, I've actually found writing him kind of fun because it lets me tap into a certain part of my own brain. With Ruki there isn't any of that, I can't particularly explain why when I don't have any of the same problems with Carla or Reiji but yeah...

Someday I'll finish those soulmate AU headcanons... someday...

✍ - Why did you start writing? What's was your inspiration?

So I've always quite liked writing fiction. One of my strongest memories from primary school (the UK equivalent of I think an elementary school sort of?) is writing short stories with my childhood best friend. I started writing fanfiction back in... maybe 2013? It's hard to remember now, but I think the motivation was "hey I'd love to read a story like this" so I wrote it. It was absolutely terrible but I really enjoyed writing it. I messed around with fanfiction for a couple of years and then school got intense and I didn't have the time for it anymore.

Fast-forward to university when I had fully fallen into diahell and was using Shin-related fantasies as means of coping with the stress of my degree. At some point I thought "hey maybe I should write these down as if I like them, then other people might?" and that was what got me started with DL fanfiction.

While a fair number of my drabbles/scenarios do still come from me daydreaming about Shin (my beloved muse and main source of inspiration ❤), sometimes I now just have ideas that I think would be fun to play around with like Forgotten Gods and one of my current WIPs.

☀️ - When do you do most of your writing? Do you work better during day or night?

I easily work better at night. A good proportion of my writing has been done between the hours of midnight and 3 am, which admittedly may explain some of the typos I later find. That being said, one of my most popular drabbles was written during the day while I was in the lab, sitting next to a rotary evaporator (a machine we use in chemistry to remove solvents). So I guess I work best at night and/or in a laboratory X'D

Asra gets protective when it comes to internal threats; with personal conflicts, he knows to let you fight your own battles, and for the physical, he’d rather run in the other direction (and take you with him) than tackle the logistics of fistfighting for your honor in an alley. But he’s never sterner than when he’s standing up to the things that keep you up at night - when you’re talking yourself down, or fighting off a nightmare, he wraps you up in a blanket with a cup of tea and stays up with you all night, softly, but firmly talking you out of a spiral for as long as it takes.

Julian walks the line fairly well between swooping in and trusting you to take care of yourself - as much as he’d love to play the daring rescuer when someone shoulder-checks you in the Raven, you are a pretty accomplished magician, and if he gets too swoopy, you might end up having to protect him. But when it comes to verbal attacks, anyone who has a bone to pick with you gets to answer to him, and he didn’t spend all those years sharpening that razor wit with filthy-mouthed sailors to take it lightly when someone insults the person he loves.

Nadia doesn’t have much cause to be protective; it’s not very often someone fucks with the Countess’ partner. But on the off chance you do garner nasty comments, she’s more concerned with making sure you don’t take them to heart than she is with shooing off your aggressor, holding you a little tighter, smoothing your hair, and shooting them dirty looks, rather than saying or doing anything that might be unbecoming. (Besides, as easy as it would be for her to have them kicked out of the establishment, or, y’know, the city - it’s kind of an abuse of power.) 

Muriel usually ends most conflicts before they begin; anyone coming toward you with malicious intent catches one glimpse of him glaring them down and tends to rethink their approach, if they don’t about-face right there. He still doesn’t want to fight anyone (or talk to them, for that matter), but they don’t know that, and he’s more than willing to put himself between you and any potential threat. He’s a much easier target to hit, but they’ll definitely regret it later.

Portia doesn’t need much of an excuse to stand up for you. More often than not, she’ll just tell someone to mind their own business, but she’s not afraid to throw hands if she has to - and if your would-be attacker gets a kick out of her size, they’ll also get a kick in the shins that’ll make them think twice. Make sure to tell her where the line is; it’s not that she doesn’t think you can handle yourself, but if it’s starting to feel that way, she can pull the spitfire-ness back as needed.

Lucio generally needs more protecting than you do - he’s only popular in some areas of the city, remember. There are streets you can’t walk down without some people hurling nasty (if accurate) names and the occasional rotten tomato. But if someone does start picking on you, or throws a punch, he will drop everything to take it. You may be perfectly capable of fighting for yourself, but you really don’t have to - even if he gets his shit rocked, he won’t stay down until the threat is neutralized or tired of whaling on him.

Hi anon, I've actually mostly finished the second part to Siren's Call (I’m looking at the paper copy sitting on my desk as I write this). I've just got to type up the last part and make some edits but I've found my writing often benefits from me leaving the first draft alone for a bit once it's done so that I can look at it again with a clear head (I can sometimes rush into posting things in the desire for comments but it’s a habit I’m trying to fix). 

Part 2 isn’t actually going to act as a sequel, it’s a companion piece written entirely from Shin’s POV, as while I was pretty happy with how the original one shot came out, there’s some stuff from Shin’s side of things that I never really got to go into but still wanted to explore (plus I love getting to write from Shin’s POV). 

I have got plans for a part 3 (although admittedly they’re all in my head at the moment) which will act as a direct continuation to the events in the original one shot. As for when that will come out... I honestly can’t say as I definitely want to post that first love triangle ask game route before then and there are two other projects I’ve got going in the background that I have at least made a start on and would quite like to post in the not too dim and distant future (both of which have turned into more work than I’d planned for but hopefully that should just mean more content for you guys to enjoy). Plus I often get random little ideas that I feel compelled to write about in the moment (one of which will be coming out tomorrow :D).

I’m not going to spoil any of the scenes I’ve thought about including in part 3 but it’ll be focused on the reader dealing with having Shin just insert himself into their life. I’m certainly looking forward to writing it so I’m hoping it’ll be a fun one for you guys too.

As for a part 2 of Bathtub Merman... I probably owe you guys a bit of an explanation as to why it never appeared and I never mention it when I talk about ongoing projects.  I’m going to put this bit under the cut because I don’t want you guys to think I’m making a big deal out of it, I just want to try to explain.

I originally posted that one shot back in the summer of 2019, and when I did, it was 1) the first piece of long writing I’d done for a character who wasn’t one of the Tsukinami boys and 2) it was the longest story I’d written in... I believe 5 years? It was certainly the longest story I’d ever written that I think is actually any quality. 

While I was writing it, I got really into it and thus why my brain starting spinning up ideas for an epilogue of sorts, but then I posted the original and... It did not do well when I originally posted it. I think it had like 10 notes over here on Tumblr (my fics don’t normally get a huge number anyway but 10 is like half the number I usually hope for), and while I wasn’t exactly expecting for it to be particularly popular, it certainly wasn’t the response I’d hoped for given how excited I’d been to share it. I did get one really nice comment over here and one over on AO3 so shout out to those lovely people, but unfortunately because of the way my brain works I was like “oh shit the fic is actually really bad, I should sweep it under the rug and work on something else”, which is exactly what I did.

Plus that was around the time I got a whole bunch of requests for headcanons for my soulmate AU headcanon series so I just started working on those instead. Since then, I’ve had a LOT more positive feedback on Bathtub Merman (thank you all ❤) and it’s become my most popular one shot on AO3, but sadly by the time that happened, my enthusiasm for it had really waned. I’m not saying I’ll never write the epilogue but the original ideas I had for it have all but vanished and I’m now worried that if I try and write it, it just won’t come out right.

Sorry to end this on a negative note, but like I said, at this point I feel I should explain why that epilogue just did not appear. I also really don’t want to make it sound like I’m fishing for notes, because I’m not a professional writer and you guys are not obligated to read/engage with my nonsense. I’m really trying to get better about writing for myself first and foremost and using my blog as a platform to improve my ability as an author, so that I’m not sat there anxiously waiting for notes after I post something and I like to think I am moving towards that.

Anyway, a massive thank you to everyone who does read and enjoy my work, I really hope you’ll like reading the projects I have in the works at the moment as much as I’ve enjoyed working on them.
