★ ━━━━━━ Sipping the tea she had in front of her, Wirothesley was sated that the Hydro Dragon had come to see her, but also bring a new flavor of tea for them to share--though she knew he preferred just water.

Crossing one leg over the other from behind her desk, she eyed the other who perched in his own chair, looking as handsome as ever. The way Neuvilette carried himself was a real draw to The Duke, she was interested in him from the time they had first met.

Her ears twitched to hear his better, she never blinked as her eyes steadied on his lips boy did she want to do things to that mouth... But she'd never say that out loud, at least not currently.

"You came all this way to gift me this lovely brew, but what's the real reason for gracing me with your presence?"

★ ━━━━━━ When she had been sent to the Fortress, it had been taxing to hear her verdict read out, and her heart ached for Neuvillette as he was forced to give what the Oratrice had determined, there was no going against it. It had pained her to see the other watch as she was taken away, though she had served her time and eventually rose to become the main judging force within Meropide.

"No," She replied softly. "You never need a reason, but I know we both don't get out as often as we want, though I'm glad you can travel now and see more of Teyvat."

She had been curious of tea from other nations, Liyue especially. It was nice to have more stock, should she ever run out—though that remained to be seen.

She said what she had been thinking, blunt as ever. "Are you lonely, Iudex?" Taking a few sips of her tea, she waited for a response, as if what she said was completely normal.

It was true, he did prefer the taste of water over anything else, but he did partake of tea every so often. Without additives, or sweeteners, it was merely the tea bloomed within plain water. He could tell there was more upon her mind even before she spoke, but Neuvillette wasn't going to pry.

There was still that guilt he carried for what happened to Wriothesley back when she was younger. The look upon the Iudex's face at the time he read the verdict was enough to know that. Though fleeting as the expression had been, there was no doubt in his mind that she'd noticed before being taken away to Meropide. Which was where they found themselves now. Within her office, no less.

"Do I really need a reason to come and visit you?"

Now that he had his power restored he could stay out of his office longer and even go to other nations. Of course, he'd always long for his home nation if he was gone too long but that hadn't been the case yet. He'd merely visited Liyue during the Lantern Rite and picked up a LOT of tea. Perhaps the 'buy ten boxes get half off' was a bit excessive but he knew The Duke was one who enjoyed tea. He would also gift some to the other people he knew enjoyed the drink.
