i'll also have you know, despite these responses, that honey is not aromantic/grayaro.
she does experience romantic attraction, does want a romantic relationship on some level. she's just usually very, very good at choking out those fluffier, sentimental feelings or convincing herself out of it for [insert laundry list of reasons and anxieties here] before they can take root.
#isms.#( her reluctance also varies a lot by verse tbh. there's just. a lot working against it in most settings lmao. )#( if you squint you can see her fear of abandonment. )#( [loud alarm sirens blaring the moment it's no longer haha fun and carefree smoochy time] )#( queue. )

cindy kinda does throw the word "love" around loosely but know that she means it. romantic, platonic, whatever. and if you've got a problem w it, she's like "sorry i have so much love to share. sorry you never let yourself have any"

rosetta is definitely a more street-level vigilante than a flat out superhero so she’s definitely gonna internally fangirl whenever she gets to work with or talk to one

as a rule, I think people probably tend to speak a little bit gently around Easy, as she just sorta gives off that... vibe, y'know? she's someone it's hard to be crass toward, and people tend to perceive her as being more "demure" or """innocent,""" so they shift their behavior a bit to protect that.
not that they need to, really. swearing doesn't really bother Easy one bit, nor is she nearly as perturbed by crude conversations as some people might think. it's true that she's a little shy on adding to those dialogues, herself, but let's be realistic—Emily grew up with five older brothers and the accompanying pack of boy-friends. she's pretty much heard it all.
...as far as her language goes, I think she's sort of like a PG-13 movie. she drops maybe ONE big cuss a year. it's a rare and special event.
#also maybe it's just the Country™ energy but. 'damn' doesn't even register as a swear.#it's just a bit of emphasis. that one might be brandished a LITTLE more often.#but there are also words she pretty much never ever uses. even as the annual special.#meta.#isms.#musings.

what is your true role in the story? the "chosen one".
back again young one? still not comfortable with your new title? yes, i can see you are one that prefers the simpler things in life but you do deserve the rank they have given you. oh little sparrow, have you just now realized you are an owl? soaring the skies with gleaming, outstretched talons. you lived your life blinded to your own abilities, but now the truth is out. you did not ask to be a hero, which pains my heart to the core. but alas, the people have given you something so true and bittersweet you cannot bear to refuse them. for they have given you their trust. they praise you, songs will be sung of you, ballads written, feasts in your honor. but "why me?" you quietly whisper to the stars. if you could speak their language you'd hear their simple reply, "because."
you, out of the finest candidates were chosen to be a sacrificial lion in golden chains. your loved ones chanted your worth as it echoed from the steeples. but what was your say on the matter? i guess you had little to none, and unfortunately, neither do i. but destiny is not a burden, it is a gift, you feel weighted by the entire world, your shoulders ache from the hopes, fears, and dreams of the people who have chosen to follow you. but their adoration isn't blind my dear. you are strong, you are worthy of the armor, of the crown. when you look back you will realize that you, my young god, were truly the savior many called you. do not run from your purpose, seek it. and i do not mean the heroic of sorts, no, search for what makes you alive young hero, for here's a secret, you are just as much a hero to others as you are to yourself. it wouldn't make you a villian, to tell them no...

friendly reminder that—especially if your muse has any arcane/magical/supernatural inclination—it's wholesale possible that they look at honey and perceive that there's something... off. the fact that she does have some Real Human Blood in her makes it easier to pass unnoticed than most fey, but the charming / beguiling nature of the kin is still there.
it could be a sort of light-headedness, fuzzy, dreamlike, or even an uncanny valley sort of feel—intriguing, enticing, and unsettling all at once. and while she tries to keep a handle on it, it can also manifest in shared emotions: as fey emotions tend to bend and shape the environment around them.
#isms.#about.#meta.#( listen i just. really like fairies and fae lore okay. i love the eldritch and surreal glamour of it all. )

It doesn't matter how many "illegals" you throw out. Because there will still be drugs, rapes, murders, thefts, etc. Wanna know why? It's pretty fucking simple. We're human beings. We fuck shit up more than we'd like to admit. It's quite hilarious that we blame our own problems on another race or another country. When the problem lies within ourselves as a nation, as a people, as individuals. You can't call someone illegal, when your own ancestors invaded a country, and took someone else's home, and made it their own. Enslaved, raped, murdered, colonized and whitewashed it down. And then two-hundred years later you fear the same thing is going to happen to you. That's fucking crazy. Because when it all comes down to it, we fear retribution. We fear consequence and are blind to other's suffering due to the fact that we fear we will suffer the same fate. Now I know America is full of bullshit. But this particular bullshit and how everyone just simply agrees with it, as if it's a relevant problem really irks me.
Because once again America has shown its own true racist bullshit colors. As if there aren't any white people stealing, bringing in drugs, raping or murdering people or wrongfully using welfare.
We as a nation, as a whole species honestly should take a look at ourselves and see our own hypocrisy. Many superior empires and nations have fallen or have been taken over. And this whole cycle of insanity continues, and continues, and continues. Because we do not view each other as equal. We may say that all men are created equal. But have we shown that we believe that? I mean look at us, we will tear down anyone we see as inferior or deserving of mistreatment. We may have AI, iPhones, Laptop computers and 8k ultra hd televisions. But we are still the same barbarian species as we were thousands of years ago. We are still the same fearmongering bunch. We still reject the new, we isolate the different and we ridicule the weird and those who aren't like us. While all the meanwhile behind closed doors, we're all pretty fucking weird ourselves. It's comical. It really is. Because y'know I don't hear many people express these kinds of thoughts or beliefs. Because it's fundamental to our own beliefs we have. It's controversial. We don't wanna hear it. We don't wanna know it. But it's the cold, hard truth, and we can't handle the truth. Because deep down, we don't like the truth. The truth hurts when you actually think about it. And a majority of people would rather believe a certain way, to make themselves feel better about the things they've done or let happen. Then to admit that we are wrong about a lot of things.

what color does your love feel like? cold stark gold.
fireworks, borrowed lighters and sparklers against a dark backdrop, yours is a love that burns stark and bright. it's scary though, like things that burn always tend to be, but for you it isn't the thrill of the open flames that gives pause and a slight stomach drop of terror, but rather the time when the flames go out, the sparkler ends and the night is cold and dark once again. fireworks, borrowed lighters, a striken match, your love burns bright and fast and then maybe it passes, maybe the feeling dies out and you're left in the cold once again. and that's the feeling isn't it? of being bored and waiting for someone to light you up again? to be fair, you do know you don't need it, but then again we don't often crave the things we need. and you crave and yearn and burn in the wait, restless in the knowledge that at some point someone will pass and rub you the right way, that some day you'll light up the night sky bright yet again. there's comfort in the darkness and solace in the predictable loneliness of the in between, but your heart still squirms inside you, waiting and willing and begging to burn up again. your love might not be comfort, it's not one for the sick days, but then again, there's a reason why everyone waits for the shining lights in the sky during holidays.

what is your underlying motif? the bread.
whether it’s your ability to rise against the odds, provide comfort, or be a staple in lives, your undercurrent is bread. you’re made from love and you carry it your whole life, to give on to others in any way you can. you’re delicate and it doesn’t take a lot to break you, but still you rise up and that is more important than what took you down. be careful with your heart, it’s so full of love that it needs to be treated delicately. you’re a staple in lives, a necessity, but not always as appreciated as you should be. so here is a thanks to you. m.f.k fisher said “ the smell of good bread baking, like the sound of lightly flowing water, is indescribable in its evocation of innocence and delight ” and that my friend, that is you.
#isms.#still getting the bread result for courtney on this quiz <3#i like to think she's the kind of bread you get at texas roadhouse
