#ryo aoki#aoki ryo#ichiban kasuga#kasuga ichiban#i like to think that if aoki had survived he and ichiban would be very good at communicating with each other#or at least ichiban would and aoki would try very hard to improve on his own fear of emotional vulnerability#after all it's thanks to ichiban's heartfelt honesty that he managed to dissuade aoki from commiting suicide#so itd make sense for them to cherish that communication that saved their relationship#it's also the one most important thing that differenciates ichiban from kiryu :#ichiban managed to prevent his brother from killing himself while kiryu did not#this is a big part of why ichiban is such a compelling protagonist to introduce after Kiryu#he's a lot more willing to express himself in a vulnerable way which makes him better at communicating feelings to others#which is constrasted by aoki's rejection of any kind of emotional authenticity - even to himself#(yadda yadda autistic guy obsesses over fictional characters' communication skills to try to improve on its own)#y7 spoilers#codexdraws
