[ID: A Mob Psycho 100 omake. Reigen is on the phone with someone, discussing a lawyer he recommended to them. He says, “I’m glad with that, the school has no choice but to acknowledge that bullying is actually happening. No, no... I just thought it was odd that a child would be sent alone to a haunted location in the first place...
“I’m glad he came to advice for us on this. Exorcisms are scary, what’s truly scary is what goes on about living people.” Replying to something, Reigen says that he was the one who overstepped, then says the kid must be enthusiastic about something, as he had the guts to enter an abandoned building. Reigen finally tells the person to call him if they need anything.
Mob and Serizawa look at Reigen, and Serizawa asks who it was. Reigen says, “Some primary school kid stopped by here on his way home. Something was off, so I asked him what was happening and found out there was some bullying going on.” He explains that the kid was told to go into a haunted house alone and contacted the families involved as a concerned professional. He says, “I tried to talk to them, but their parents got upset with me. The bullies showed no sign of remorse.” He says that the school staff ignored the regular bullying, which “got under his skin.”
Reigen says he looked through social media and found “excessively slanderous posts” on the primary school’s website, which is where their “counter-offensive” begins. Serizawa comments that he was bullied in primary school as well. Mob looks at him, and Reigen asks, “Really?” Mob asks Serizawa what kind of primary schooler he was, and Serizawa replies that he had no friends, was considered creepy, and never moved from his desk during breaks.
Mob is silent, and Serizawa asks him the same question. Mob responds that he tried not to use his powers in school, so he was often scared, and that “looking back, I suppose that I was also bullied...” Reigen frowns and says, “... Kind, introverted people are easy targets... You guys weren’t weak, but there were truly weak people who took advantage of your nature.. How annoying...”
Reigen says that it can't be helped that the two were so reserved, but it is a shame, as they could have had “popular and rosy” childhoods depending on how they use their powers. Then he dismisses it with a smile. Serizawa, smiling, asks what Reigen’s primary school life was like. Reigen smiles, looking taken aback, and says, "Mine? It was, uh, very... fulfilling."
Mob asks, "Fulfilling?", and Serizawa smiles and says, "I imagine you felt like the center of the class, unlike us, right?" Reigen sweatdrops. “Y... Yup... Center, sure... I feel like my seat was in the center of the classroom?” We see just one of Mob’s eyes as he asks, “Where you sat is irrelevant, no?”
Reigen changes art styles, now drawn slightly more comically, and looks away with an uneasy smile while sweating hard. He uncomfortably and hesitantly says that rather than being a leader, he had a charisma which made him stand out and that he looked deeply into things and acted on them. Serizawa, impressed, exclaims, “Wow! So do your classmates from back then still rely on you?”
A panel of Reigen covering his face with a hand, a black aura radiating from him. Then he crosses his arms and falsely smiles, now truly drawn in a devolved art style which makes him look awkward and silly. He stammers, “Er... Well, my charisma was more if-you-know-you-know... if-you-don’t-know-you-don’t-know...?”
Serizawa and Mob both look confused. Serizawa, suddenly at a mildly intimidating angle and shaded realistically, says with an intense smile, “I’d like to hear a story from back then.” The next panel of Reigen places him in the corner, extremely small with a shriveled face. The panel is taken up by two speech bubbles: one of a long ellipsis ending in a question mark, and then him rambling:
"Well... To be specific? I put a lot of emphasis on tackling social issues? Rather than school life... Yes, like volunteering? ... Which was valuable in teaching me independence? And influenced my current personality? Even though I was in primary school. My childhood was a nurturing time for me. There is evidence? To suggest that my time at primary school was fulfilling? It is indeed not an exaggeration? But a--"
Serizawa and Mob are now backed by shining sparkles. Serizawa, sweating, pumps a fist and exclaims, “That’s amazing! I respect that! Even as a child you were already such a dependable person.” Mob looks neutral as he says, “That’s the first time I’ve heard this but that’s really amazing. To think there are primary schoolers as self-aware as you were, shishou. I’m jealous of your classmates.”
The next panel is almost entirely shrouded in black except for a circle showing Reigen sitting silently at his desk, expression heavy.
The last panel shows Reigen in a track suit, using tongs to pick up litter in a park and smiling. It’s captioned, “After seeing their reactions, Reigen began looking for ways he can help.” End ID]
