Some weeks ago I made a post about my first pride ever with a photo of my outfit and I need to say that the aro-ace community is the most amazing of all!

The amount of (platonic) LOVE that I received (and still receive) is INCREDIBLE!

The first personne that dare says that aro and ace are heartless, I'll EAT them! Don't be mean to my people! There are the most WONDERFUL and AMAZING people!

And I want to thanks all those who took the time to react to the post, you're perfect and make me want to say it when I see a post that I like, because it make me so happy each time I saw a reaction ❤️❤️❤️

Your post about the use of “kid” as a term of endearment reminds me of when Randy says “thanks grease… I didn’t mean that. I meant, thanks, kid.” When he and Pony talk before the rumble because even here clearly kid isn’t used in a patronizing way, it’s what Randy calls Ponyboy once they find some sort of mutual respect for each other. Super interesting to think abt!

Yes! I think now days people tend to think ‘kid’ as patronizing or rude… or maybe it’s because they are younger and take offense (I know this fandom runs younger at least) but there’s so many varying ways it’s used.

Like you said in this case finding a mutual respect used in a “you’re alright” sort of context/really shouldn’t have called you something derogatory whoops lol

It’s a fascinating example of how words have multiple meanings and change based on context, phrasing, intent etc.

Great, it's currently -8°C where I live, so I can just go stand outside in my superhot robe 😅

I've found a somewhat working combo with a t-shirt and a towel instead of a blanket, and an open balcony door. We'll see how that works.

Also I'll be honest. I'm not mindless about these shows, never was. I'm not even in it because of Viv. But I'm in it because I enjoy them and they're pretty good (not the best) shows, and because of the other voice actors and fans as well.

I was quiet about sharing the previous post for a while because I felt that if I spoke out against the clogged up tags, I'd be seen as defending someone I don't even know. When really I'm just speaking out of love for these shows, the voice actors, and the fans.

That wouldn’t be their real name. Well, that would be their name. They would have abandoned their name in pursuit of their revenge. That’s kind of their whole thing.

They also have an arm but it’s made of probably something malefic, maybe a bunch of resentful spirits or just one giant evil spirit. Maybe a monster or something.
