I've realised I actually shouldn't look at floorplan posts people have made about Steve Harrington's house because, while I know none of them can actually be factually correct because what we see in the show is partly a real house in Georgia and partly an interior set that wouldn't fit in the house in Georgia (Steve's room is where a loft space would be apparently?) and so everyone is just perhapsing about, they make me feel oddly guilty if they point out a visible detail I hadn't noticed or forgot about, or if I've made up my own, like, imaginary bathroom that disagrees with their imaginary bathroom, or added an extra garage. So that's not really helpful to my own perhapsing, and as long as I don't go right off piste and add, like, an awesome little tower with a telescope like the one atop Max's room in Hocus Pocus (Jesus Christ I understand why he wasn't happy about moving across the country and having to get used to a completely different climate and make new friends but that kid had THE COOLEST ROOM and seemed to take it for granted), I should be all right.
It's big and it's bland and that's what matters.
#the nice thing is you don't have to try to remember what the interior decor was like#(other than obviously Steve's bedroom wallpaper and curtains which are seared into all our minds)#because hey presto Mrs Harrington redecorates frequently!#and we only ever saw the house in 1983!#she's got to keep up with the trends#(Steve actually fighting to keep that awful wallpaper because he just wants things to stay the same for a while and feel stable)
