#the expanse#theexpanseedit#naomi nagata#klaes ashford#marco inaros#mine : gifs.#i am unable to stop making naomi gifsets that hit me right in the feels#she tried sm to do that#even with marco in her youth#she wanted to change things - for the better -#but every attempt ended up being weaponized#her code#giving the protomolecule as a bargaining chip and that ending up in marco's and later duarte's hands#(not that i think she's responsible for it bc fred had the sample for years - it was his responsibility at that point)#and nearly tearing up the new family she found#her work on the behemoth - rlly wanting and needing to be a part of the belt's step forward -#and seeing that ship be used as a weapon to fire to the people she loves#(i tried to find another way but there isn't)#and she's left in this in between of wanting to be involved wanting to take action for the better and fearing the cost#because it has always been the same cost#she even thinks she killed filip for the greater good#and that's i think where she gets misunderstood#at least in the terms of loyalty#because she's not really selfish nor truly disloyal#it's just that her loyalty doesn't come without questioning (not to a nation not to even a person)#because blind loyalty led her to the worse outcome
