It's been five years, but I finally found a theme for my story. Horray :)
#it's really a huge thing for me#I finally have a reason for all my characters#I finally see how all their stories connect#how my mind was working this whole time#and ultimately of course as I always knew how it would culminate:#age and experience were the deciding factors#I needed to have enough experience in the world to have something I wanted to express#and then even more experience to see it and put it into a concrete concept#knowing that it would be years before that happened really sucked#but so much more came of the waiting than I thought#even when I had no idea what my theme was. I still made characters who fit perfectly into it#and since those characters have been developed for years I can incorporate them naturally now#since the theme was always within me even years before I could see it myself#so... yeah#it's nice to see everything come full-circle#now I can finally start trying to draft my first Godos story properly#(not that I haven't tried before but drafting without a theme is an agonising exercise in futility)#thoughts#writing
