if you allow it hes going to juggle your head or even "go bowling" with it... you... may get dizzy though, so agree with caution

honestly? not all that phased by your little party trick, at least hes not grossed out by the clear view of your necks insides- hes seen those plenty of times... both in the form of images as well as in person when hes needed to silence someone

that said looking at in tact neat remains is different than seeing it all messed up or in a diagram, so if you dont mind he would like to take a look at least once... totally not making notes for future reference

DragonBoy!Xiao whos wings would flinch at the slightest touch- you knew they were incredibly sensitive, but sometimes you couldnt help yourself! The way they stretched and fluttered in the morning was too cute to resist, even if he bat your hand away like a cat every single time. They were just so small and endearing, how could you not want to touch them? He couldnt fly with them, not in his human form at least- they were too small. If he could choose to not have wings in his humam form, he would do away with them in an instant.

DragonBoy!Xiao whos actual dragon form towered over you- it was bigger than any other animal you had ever seen, even bigger than the Lone Suanni of the Vale. You hated the way he would swoop you up like a little toy and bury you under his wings like a mother bird, even if it was so warm and cozy when he snuggled you up against his fluff. Despite being so huge, he was incredibly gentle with you, even when handling you with his scarily sharp talons.

DragonBoy!Xiao who wraps his tail around you every single time youre close enough. He claims its instinctual and he cant control it, or that his tial has a mind of its own and he doesnt notice, but you know full well hes just trying to save face. He does it on purpose, wanting to hold you close to him and feel your body heat next to his. Clearly, hand-holding wasnt enough.

DragonBoy!Xiao who gets flustered when you play with his horns- theyre supposed to be scary, not intruiging! He would blush intensely and vehemently avoid eye contact so you wouldnt notice how his once slitted pupils were now blown out as he struggled to hold back his purring. Petting them was like petting his ears- speaking of which, they were incredibly soft and expressive. They flicked and rotated and twitched with every little sound and touch, flattening back when he felt agitated and pinning forwards when he felt excited. They were the one thing he didnt ever deny pets for. He always melted right into your touch the moment you rubbed his ears, closing his eyes and unleashing a waterfall of purring.

IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED ABOUT THIS BECAUSE ITS LITERALLY THE FUNNIEST THING IN THE WORLD TO ME.

So, the series that introduces this is largely Son Of Kal El. It's Jon's big 18 issue solo book, its super fun, there are gay people, there is dismantling a colonialist government. More specifically the Beef Inciting Incident begins issue 10, takes up most of issue 11.

So, Jon's dating Jay Nakamura. Cool guy, refugee from Gamorra (place that is colonized that theyre trying to fix), independent journalist known as The Truth. He works closely with this group named the Revolutionaries.

Super cool, right? Jon's having a golden time.

Then, Lois pisses off Lex (long story but its equally hilarious), bad enough they're worried about the family's safety. So, Batman shows up to whisk them to the safe house.... but Jay's not allowed to come.

Jon's pretty miffed about this, and then Batman decides to be Batman and drops THIS bombshell:

We get his reasoning the next chapter: Jay's buddies, the Revolutionaries? Yeah, well, lets say they believe in DIRECT action. They've killed a lot of people (Pssst, you can read more about it in Suicide Squad: Bad Blood, which is one of my favorite books).

Jon does not buy what Bruce is selling. He argues with Batman about it, DESPITE NOT KNOWING WHETHER OR NOT BATMAN IS WRONG, because the idea of BRUCE telling him who and who not to make out with is SO EXISTENTIALLY INFURIATING that he just. Straight up runs off.

Now, this gets resolved pretty quickly. Pa tells Bruce to knock it off because he's not exactly better in love, in a great scene that is one of my favorites from the book. Jon talks to Nightwing, then talks to Jay, and Jay is like, "yeah. They are kind of violent extremists, but they were also the only people who helped me when I was fleeing systematic medical torture and ethnic cleansing, so." We don't really get Jon's thoughts on this, but he ACTIVELY works with them in the finale with the stipulation they don't kill anyone, so we can kind of assume that even if he's not down with them murdering people, he's DOWN down with their Liberation politics. Which is neat!

... But Jon holds a grudge against Batman. Big time. Like, seriously. We really see it up close in Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent, where he's just... Dude. This isn't even YOUR batman.

Even Injustice!Bruce is like "Dude, I literally just met you".

Like, seriously. Not even his Batman. Just batman-shaped. And he's catching CONSTANT strays from Jon. Its a whole thing. Before that moment, Jon and Bruce were actually quite chill: Jon even made him tea during the SOKE annual! Up until that point, Bruce was kind of just "damian's scary dad". general opinion:

i think they're neat together! a lot of people are reluctant to ship them together romantically which is like, fair enough etc but it feels like that'd be overlooking their potential for both chaos for the sake of chaos (fun!) and true tenderness between two people who generally might feel pretty misunderstood and isolated from the rest of the team for various reasons (also fun!).

because theyre both on offensive roles i can see them interacting regularly On The Job as well which is always great to write imo.

headcanons:

i generally think scout and pyro are close friends even before becoming romantically involved or whatever...

i like the idea of scout being a bit scared of pyro at first because they're a big question mark, but because scout is this person who finds any challenge worth his time he takes it upon himself to be The First Who Befriends That Weirdo (affectionate).

he'll learn how to decipher pyro's mumbling and learn sign language (which also helps on the battlefield where it's often loud!).

scout is of course extremely curious about what's under the mask but he doesn't pry. none of his business. but if pyro ends up revealing themselves you know he'll be like 👀👀👀

pyro's just glad someone's willing to stick around with them! they don't mind being a loner but like, company is always nice.

they probably also feel pretty >:) about scout—this big talker jock and generally annoying dickhead—being actually nice to them. the power they hold over him... i reckon they feel pretty good about it.

scout strikes me as a romantic regardless of who he's paired up with, and pyro seems like a cuddler so i think their relationship as Lovers would be soooo sweet... inseparable and always goofing around and laughing and pulling (sometimes VERY dangerous) pranks on their teammates.

yea the whole immortality part of their relationship is kinda what makes it interesting to me, since its like a secret 3rd type of relationship that mortals dont experience. like, with humans, if we’re away from eachother theres always a chance the other could get hurt or die or something, especially if its someone we lose contact with. but with immortality(with the added healing factors) its like..theyre always gonna be there whether you’ve seen them recently or not. it takes Life Partner to a whole new meaning. and its basically impossible to be expected to hold a monogamous relationship with that type of thing involved, hence why its a seperate form of relationship entirely. something thats changing as they both change, going up n down from close to distant to falling in love all over again, till the planet dies. its why ‘nobody kills you but me’ holds so much meaning between them, since its a promise to both keep living as long as the others still around, and that theyll also always be around to help(tho, mostly onesided unfortunately)

the above paragraph is mostly about the comics, but theres still a similar thing going on in origins, just a different take on it. i know im like The wolvertooth guy, but im actually a fan of them having platonic love for eachother too!(love n relationships are something i think about a lot due to my own confusing experiences with autism and being on the aro + ace spectrums).

i think at the heart of any of their bonds with eachother is just…feeling like equals. feeling like they know eachother. that theyre connected at a core level. so no matter how much time goes by or how much they change, theres still that eternal familiarity.

Moon (she/he) - tallest of these guys, around 195~cm, 200~cm counting her antennae. -she's bulky, like those old computers! can't move her neck or joints all that much. - the 'moon' on her forehead isn't painted on, but actually a rock! perhaps a moon rock... its primary colour is a reddish magenta, but it changes colour as light bounces off of it, so it can look orange at times. - she gets dented and rusted after the collapse. - her colony is pretty chill. she added the pearl to her cloak herself:)

Pebbles (he/any) - he's Not the shortest of these guys, nor is he the shortest of the local group (ui is). about 162~cm, 166~cm with the antennae? who knows! - his cloak is too big for him. he ties it up with a piece of cloth, so that he looks Cooler and such. it falls of after his collapse. his puppet gets cracked in certain parts, during the collapse, too. - the spots above his eyes are painted on. - not a headcannon. i tried to make him look childish, but still mature. pretty happy with the result:) - colony similar to above.

Suns (he/they/any) - like moon, theyre around 190~cm, but shorter than her. - the red spots on his forehead are painted on. - the pearls around his neck hold religious meanings - poems, stories, prayers, art, and mantras are burned onto them. - i dont think suns likes being a 'godlike being', like how pebbles describes himself. but, what can he do? he is a god in a way, to his citizens, and, if he tells them to stop worshiping him, they get upset. so. its easier to just let them be.

Sig (they/any) - they were orignially 175~cm, which isn't short at all, but they wanted to be taller. so they made themselves some 'boots'/'stilts'. now they're about 185~cm - the green symbol on their forehead is practically burned on. its not going anywhere. - he's a 'deviant'. likes to indulge in life's wonders. - i've come to make an announcement. sig is a bitchass motherfucker, he was a bitch to design, i can't bear to look at him any longer. let's move on

SOS (she/any) - shortest of these guys, 160~cm, 170~ with the antennae? idk - same as sig, x symbol burned on. - i dont think she intended to ascend. i dont think she was part of any grand plan. to me, she is one of the last iterators produced, one of the last straws to grasp on or smth. they didn't build her because they believed she could solve their problem, but because they could (like with many/most(?) other iterators, i think). i think she was just a normal iterator. i think, like sig, she indulged in life's pleasures. maybe she was just.. testing things one day, and she found the anwser. didn't even mean to. but she did. - i just think she's neat:)

ive really been thinking about the stalking lately. like for how frequently it happened, you would think it would be talked about more. but i think literally all of them stalked each other at some point?

jay stalked tim and found his doctors office and recorded him from distances, he DEFINITELY recorded alex from distances and also broke into his house idk i feel like i dont need to go on there. i dont think he stalked brian but brian definitely made up for it.

brian stalked tim a bunch plus that whole masky thing which i dont think i have to go on about. he stalked alex a load, like the fuckin birthday video cause what even was that. and he essentially made an entire youtube channel just to creepily speak to jay, the shit with the little white doll, im sure theres more but im struggling to think of it.

generally, i pin the stalking on jay and brian the most, but within that dynamic its usually brian stalking jay more. i just think theyre neat :3

with kidswap au stuff i feel like ppl always keep the alpha and beta kids still divided up the same way, like all the beta kids are still One Group and all the alpha kids are The Other Group, instead of swapping just a few out for a few others. like what would happen if rose was a kid raised by adult man dave or vice versa instead of them both being kids or adults at the Same Time right. wouldnt that be neat
