Thomas making a point to talk about Minho's muscles is one thing, but my thinking about the Maze Runner books made me realize that he also really loves talking about how exhausted the guy looks

I think it's twice where he observes that "everything about Minho just screamed exhaustion"

(once when Minho tells Alby about the dead Griever, once when he's slumped in his chair during a Keeper Meeting)

Minho is not beating the "squishy cutie who needs a kiss" allegations. In fact his boyfriend is actively contributing to them.
