truly an annoyance that meat has actual flavor. on the other hand this is also what makes voluntary chicken consumption so boggling
#chicken being like the one meat WITHOUT decent irreproducible flavor to speak of#beef? lamb? you're fucked. you want a dish with beef or lamb it has to be beef or lamb#I don't tend to like the flavor of various pig cuts but same is true for them#(except maybe chop. I remain kinda perplexed by voluntary consumption of porkchop)#but chicken you should eat exactly as much chicken as is a byproduct of backyard egg production and then you should eat tofu and be free#(I'm talking shit I do often still opt for the breaded chicken. on the other hand if breaded nonchicken is an option it's 100% just as good#the real point here is the tragedy of how delicious beef and lamb are#I mean plus side they are both available locally so the ethics are okay#the logistics and food safety annoyances remain however >:(#but. so delicious in the 1.5 dishes each that I cook with them
