i need to learn to knit a better heel one of these days but i also don't feel like going through the effort 😭
#making a new pair of socks and am reminded of just how annoyed i am by the only kind of heel i currently know how to knit#(idk the names of things#it's the kind that is taught in the instructions on the inner side of the sleeve of novita 7 brothers yarn#that's how i've been knitting socks for the past decade or so)#(except i don't bother with the special texture you're supposed to do for the heel because that's not where my socks wear out)#it's so boxy and tall and there's always this empty corner thing when i'm wearing the sock#it's a hindrance when putting on shoes sometimes too because of the way it catches on the shoe or bunches up or whatever#but i'd kind of forgotten this is something i could potentially affect#...mom's been experimenting with heels in recent years#i should probably ask her for recommendations#but ugh... doing new things when my life is already currently dominated by (involuntary!) new things...
