How her sibling had gotten hurt again, Daphne doesn't know. But she had been tasked with taking the poor young one to the infirmary. Once there, and once a sling is applied to her sibling's left arm, and the necessary things are done for the minor cuts and bruises, Daphne sighs. She looks at her sibling with a stern expression, saying "You have to be more careful. Next time you could be seriously injured. Imagine how we'd all feel if something terrible happened to you."

She pats her sibling's head tenderly, gently. "Promise me you'll be more careful from now on." She is unsure if the promise will be made or even more if the other sibling will stick to it. But Daphne has to try, at any rate. She knows she would hate for anything bad to happen, and she's certain the rest of the family would feel the same. Her young sibling really needs to be more careful when exploring the world.

Curiosity is one thing, but getting injured is another. She doesn't want any of her siblings to get hurt, ever, but she knows she won't always be around to prevent it from happening. Hence why she wants the promise, the guarantee that her young sibling will be careful from now on. Daphne may have a husband and children of her own now, but she will always be a Bridgerton, and always care deeply about her family, especially her siblings.
