a couple of days ago i finished the spanish duolingo course so after some back and forth, i started on french, and not to repeat myself but it really is wild how much you subconsciously keep of a language if you ever engaged with it at all. like. i had three years of french at school which was literally over a decade ago, but between that and my latin and spanish, it's just coming back SO easily. the language brain is just WILD. my most beloved

#*mine #mona rambles #oh roman languages we're really in it now #like the fluency in spanish and semi-solid grasp on latin definitely help #as does that languages just come somewhat easily to me #but still just?? so much i did 13 years ago in school is just coming back to me it's just insanely cool #it's a bit off but i should start considering what to do after french because anything after that will be a completely fresh start #maybe italian to finish my roman collection. but i also do really want to learn gaelic.. hm. we'll see #it'd technically be language number 5 then. maybe basque in celebration after all lmao <3 #(basque is excellent it's just complicated af because it shares barely to no resemblance to any other language)#ANYWAY. languages my most beloveds
