Early Jance where Nace's been in the band for a short while, they've just done an interview and one of the others jokes that he's so strong to be able to ignore Jan's heart eyes, which confuses him because heart eyes? Sure Jan was looking at him, but he does that all the time. Since he joined the band, Jan's been looking out for him and encouraging him to think that his opinions have merit and it's been a great confidence boost. He's a good friend, but heart eyes?

And after some confusion it turns out that everyone else can see it because they've known Jan for years, but Nace has literally never seen him look any other way so he has no idea it has any significance. That's just Jan's face. He always looks like that around Nace.

I think the point is that many Tom fans are tired. For example, Z has Dune, Euphoria and now The Drama lined up, while Tom only has Spider-Man. It's as if we're living in a loop. We have no confirmation of any other projects that look promising, absolutely nothing, not even a glimpse of a new character or an interesting movie. And I know he's just done a play, but it's not the same, not everyone was able to see the play.

For those of us who are fans and don't live in London, it's as if we've been waiting forever to see only Spider-Man again, and that's the frustrating part. 😩

And I hate the way most people on Twitter treat Tom and now we're back in the same place, with people comparing his career to all the other white boys in the industry today, but this time there's no defending it, because in a way they're not entirely wrong. 😭😭

I understand your frustration Anon, but try to keep things in perspective here:

True, we haven't seen Tom filming a big screen movie since SM NWH, but most of us saw NWH in Dec 2021.... AND in Jan 2022 (let's be honest, we didn't just see the movie once lol 😏), then, right after that, we had "Uncharted" come out in Feb 2022.

We also JUST had Tom's series TCR come out last summer, where we saw not just 2 hours of footage of Tom (like a regular movie), but 10 episodes of the series, which is essentially like 10 HOURS of Tom footage... which basically equals out to him being in five 2-hour length films.

He also decided to take a much-needed and much-deserved break last year, which was ironically also the same year that a LOT of actors weren't allowed to film anything or even promote any of their films due to all of the strikes going on. 🤷🏾‍♀️

He just did a play run in London, and while most of us didn't see it, he was still keeping busy, and he also has SM4 coming up. I'm not sure what's going on with the FA biopic and whether or not it's still going to be smthg he's attached to, but I'm excited to see him take on that role as well in the future if it comes to fruition! 😃

Sometimes, some of these filming projects take TIME. There are also a lot of factors going on bts beyond the actor's (and even director's) control, so if there's a delay, then an actor just pivots, just like Tom did, and goes on to do smthg else in the meantime! 🤷🏾‍♀️

We also don't know what Tom might have going on in his personal life. He might be deliberately slowing down on some projects because he has some things he wants to do on his own. I just learned about Tom and Harry supposedly starting up their own production company last week lol 😆 We really don't know all the facts.

Some actors go 2, 3, even 4 years in btwn a filming project. Leo is notorious for this. I don't see his fans complaining. 😕 They just know that he takes his time, and they will be there in theaters to support him when another one of his films come out. Maybe when Leo was younger he was doing more back-to-back roles, but he's now pushing 50 REAL hard, and maybe he's just slowing down a little, or wants to work with specific directors on very specific projects. He can afford to do that.

Same with Tom! 🤷🏾‍♀️ If he can afford to take long breaks in btwn roles, then that's fine! Spiderman is a very physical role. It can take a lot out of your body. Plus, he's doing a lot of his own stunts. He might need breaks in btwn from those types of roles.

Another thing.... STOP ✋🏾 🛑 comparing Tom to Zendaya. They are two different people. They are two different actors. Just because they are in a relationship with each other, it doesn't mean that they have to have the same exact career journey.

Zendaya's acting journey is her own. Tom's acting journey is his own. Fans don't need to compare them both. I've never seen people compare both actors in a romantic relationship with each other in my life.

If you're a fan of both Tom and Z, then when one has some down time, you can enjoy whatever the other has going on work-wise on their end. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I'm going to channel my dear friend @thecrimsonacademic here, so please bear with me, but Eustass is a character I've enjoyed diving into, so I'm going to share some of the reasons why I think anon hasn't really been paying attention to him, to have such a surface level - and frankly - fanon-driven view of him.

THIS BREAKDOWN INCLUDES MANGA EVENTS NOT YET ANIMATED. PROCEED CAREFULLY

At this point, I'm pretty sure he has to be one of Shanks's many illegitimate kids. That's the only reason he keeps trying to kill him, to get revenge for abandoning him or something.

While I'm sure Shanks has been in the South Blue, we haven't actually seen him in that location canonically (at least not as far as I can tell), plus with their ages, Shanks would've had to have been 15 to have fathered Kid. I don't think that's plausible at that point, it would've also been the same year Roger died since Kid's B-day is Jan 10th. Which is believed to have happened in September, so yeah, I can't think of any driving action that would've caused Shanks to have a one-night stand as a 15 year old.

As for why Kid keeps going up against him is the Exact Same Motivation as Luffy. He's aiming for Pirate King with everything he has, his life included, and a lot happened between his first run in with the Red Hair Pirates and the second run in. He successfully dealt with one of Big Mom's Sweet Commanders, and stole from the heart of Toto Land, then brought down Big Mom, and learned - in the process - that a very important rule of fighting Yonkos is Go Big or Go Home.

So he decides not to hold back and goes at Shanks' fleet with the best he has. Shanks' future sight shows him that holding back would be catastrophic to the people he wants to protect, and he, in turn, goes all out against Kid.

It makes perfect sense for both of them.

But he's probably one of the most selfish, self-centered, and obnoxious characters in the entire show.

I feel like you're forgetting about Doffy, Sir Crocodile, any given Celestial Dragon with maybe 2 exceptions, the Elders, Imu, Teach, Bellamy, and at least half a dozen marines. And that's just off the top of my head.

Kid is no more selfish than Luffy, doing as he pleases, regardless of the risks or even if his crew is against it. Kid is no more self-centered than Luffy, dragging along his crew on all the things he chooses to do, all the islands he wants to explore, or all the plans he ignores.

I'm not sure on the obnoxious, I don't really see it because I like the character a lot, so I'm floundering on that point and I'll just move on from it.

So, if he's your boyfriend, you better be ready to stroke his ego, and he will not prioritize you at all. Plus, he would probably be insanely jealous. So translation, he's pure fuckboy, and who wants to date pirate fuckboy.

Considering the diversity on Kid's crew - I can't actually imagine he would be like this. Considering how his crew looks up to him the same way Law's crew looks up to him, I cannot believe he's garnered that kind of admiration by being an egotistical asshole.

Kid's personality is way more inline with Luffy's. Less cheerful, more pragmatic, but the same kind of Support Me and I Support You vibe is present in both crews.

That said, if you go into a relationship with a fuckboy, knowing he's a fuckboy, and being willing to work within those parameters, you'd be surprised at how many people would want to date a fuckboy pirate. XD

His only saving grace would be he could probably invent/make some of the most amazing toys for you to use in the bedroom.

Oh man, you are so right with this point I'm not even really bothered by all the rest. Which is why I didn't mind diving in to do some defending of the big oaf. Cause gods you know this man's collection is beyond such simple terms like "Impressive".

You saw that confidence and read it as empty bluster, and saw that punk vibe and took it as poser, and missed all the statements that built up the personality behind it. I see now how you came to such a flat conclusion regarding one of the most interesting characters in the series.

I think it's a common pit trap too ^^;

Kid had no family, no protectors, no teachers, no mentors, and he and his one friend lost their only other friend at the time, on an island that was abandoned by the world government. He clawed a life out of bare rock and scrap metal, got revenge on the people who killed his friend, and united the others.

Knowing full well how corrupt the world was, he set out. Protecting him and his crew the best he could, and probably - given how we see how often they lie regarding the straw hats - didn't even cause grief for anyone outside marines and other pirate crews. Kid knows what it is to be the abandoned dog left to eat dirt, I can't see him burning towns to the ground as he travels the world.

He's not indiscriminate in his destruction. He's fierce in his protection. He steps out in front of his entire crew to tank whatever comes their way because you have to get through him to get to them.

And those are not the actions of obnoxious fuckboy.
