Do you have a favorite of your own characters from the fic?

What a difficult question; it's like picking a favourite child orz I do like them all. Sometimes, I get a bit sad that some characters got pushed to the sidelines (or even (mostly) written out) when I re-planned the fic (which needed to be done; more on that at another time). Anyway. I think my favourite own characters are the ones that surprise me! Because I like to be taken on a journey while writing, and when I make a character, I don't know everything about them from the start, or barely anything at all. I need to learn stuff about them gradually, just the way you do, and sometimes they tell me stuff out of the blue that makes me go "what" XD

I like Cecelia; she's so fun to write, but she hasn't thrown anything surprising at me (yet). But Milton? He's the worst of them. I guess that makes him my favourite from that criterion. I always knew that something was off about him, but could not put my finger on the specifics for the longest time. When I finally cracked it/him, I nearly fell out of the bus. (I mean that very literally; I was just getting out.) That also did a lot to the restructuring, and I think the fic got better as a result. It sounds a bit stupid because I am writing this fic after all, but I'm very grateful for him to have confessed that to me at that time. Things would be very different in many aspects otherwise. And now... 🤐

Kamden is also up there... He's such a quiet character, it took a while for me to finally get something out of him. And then it surprised me, even if it, honestly, makes a lot of sense for the "character he is"! My subconscious just works better than my consciousness, I guess^^' The Weston thing is another example. Oh, the drama... (And if you've read the AO3 notes for Affection: He's the guy who's set to be Oscar's son-in-law in the AU's AU; in the future that never was. Made me go "what" indeed.)

Yvette also surprisingly ended up as a bit of a show-stealer. Fooled me too, what a girl XD

(But favourites or not, none of them will be safe/left unharmed <3)
