All human, modern au: tired Single Dad Elendil gets asked to come into the school to speak with the headmaster (Isildur's been skiving, and Earien got caught kissing Kemen in a broom cupboard) and runs into tired Single Dad Gil-galad, who has *also* been asked to come and speak to the headmaster- Elrond's been uncivil and rude to a teacher ("I wasn't rude, I very politely told them they were being stupid, because they were."), Galadriel punched someone ("it wasn't a punch, it was a playful thump, and it wasn't "someone", it was Halbrand"), and Celebrimbor is a pleasure to have in class, really, but he does need to do the work in front of him, not fill the page with doodles and sketches or start taking calculators apart to see how they work. ("Sorry. I don't mean to get distracted I just sort of....do.")

Anyway, I just think they should get a coffee together ;)

#for the sake of this au galadriel and celebrimbor are twins. elrond's a handful of years younger than them #none of are biologically Gil-galad's #he just somehow ended up being the closest living relative to the twins when their parents died *and* to Elrond when his parents died #anyway Elrond was arguing with his teacher because he was sticking up for Durin #(Durin was making a perfectly valid response to an english question but because it wasnt phrased in the most elegant or polished way #was being told it was wrong)#Galadriel and Halbrand roughhouse thats just part of how they enjoy each other's company #Celebrimbor is autistic with adhd also thrown into the mix but because hes quite and polite and his hyperfixations trend toward school stuff #no one's ever actually noticed or thought it worth raising if they did #(yes i am very much projecting here sue me ;) )#anyway this post brought to you by the fact I stan 2 dad shaped tolkien men #(also Celebrimbor's friend Adar is also a tired single Dad- to his little brother Glug because their actual Dad is garbage.#cant leave the character literally CALLED dad out of the tired single dads AU)
