ah hello!! i saw your ask on lapphi’s blog about the surface pro 6. are the colors on it pretty accurate, do you think? my laptop doesn’t cover a lot of the color gamut (maybe 50-60%) and it has low color accuracy in the first place so all of the colors look completely different between my laptop and my phone.
hi anon!! Sorry this reply took so long!!! otl fhjsjchdjdhdh I’m on mobile so the formatting on this is going to be hella ugly apologies in advance
I’ve noticed a slight difference between the colors in my art on phone and my surface pro, but that’s likely because I’ll color sometimes in power saving mode, which effects the screen brightness and my selection of certain colors! The difference I do experience isn’t too terribly noticeable, I’ve never had a moment where colors that I picked on my surface looked bad on another display, which I’ve def had happen on some crappy monitors I used to use. I did a little reading and one source said that their surface pro 6 covers like 136% color gamut, but I’m kinda uninformed in what all of that means so do with that what you will!
I hope tungle won’t get mad at me for posting some links but here’s some stuff on the surface pro 6’s color specs as I’m not very knowledgeable about that stuff right now but I’m gonna do some more reading bc it seems very interesting:

Ultimately, I bought a surface bc I wanted something light that I could carry with me at school and something I could draw on while there without a secondary device. I thought about getting an iPad Pro and a Pencil, but I wanted the full functionality of a laptop. I looked at the Lenovo yoga for a little bit and I considered a MacBook even though i couldn’t directly draw on it, but I ultimately settled on the surface pro because I liked the versatility of it. I liked being able to fully disconnect my keyboard as opposed to just folding back like other laptops
I don’t have any major complaints for it, except maybe sometimes the Bluetooth in it acts funky so I have to reset it. Like I said, it’s a little “slippery” feeling, but I’ve been drawing on a Wacom bamboo for like 10+ years before that so it was def something I had to get used to. If you have any sort of retailers like Best Buy near you I highly recommend to try to go there just to play around with drawing on it, even if it’s just in ms paint for a sec! They’ll likely have the pro 7s out but the pen doesn’t look different from the 6 imo!
If you have any other questions ur welcome to send another ask! I don’t mind at all!!! ❤️❤️❤️
