Another headcanon I have is that Kirby lowkey dislikes Marx.

I know, most of us think of Kirby as a "full of good vibes" guy, I also do, but I had the feeling that Marx's betrayal had affected him more, well, Magolor's betrayal also sucked but at that time Kirby most likely knew how to deal with it, I mean, it wasn't the first time, he had his friends with him and the help of Landia.

But with Marx, he was alone, before Marx there was no surprise villain, so Kirby trusted him blindy despite Marx just appearing out of nowhere and essencially sending Kirby to do all the work, and when it seemed like it was just another adventure about to end happily, Marx gets Kirby out of the way and he makes his wish, showing his true colors, and he just... left... leaving Kirby to die.

There was a post what showed it more detalled but, uh, I didn't saved it, it was very brief, in the SNES version there was some frames of Kirby using his diving mask in an attempt to breath, he was drowning and his desperation was evident in his erratic movements, I only played the NDS version so I didn't know about this, in the remake it shows Kirby just moving around, progressively slower until unconscious, but there's something about the SNES version, the effect sounds used when Kirby is squirming, it makes me think that he is screaming for help.

That's just so messed up, Marx you son of a-

Okay, Marx basically committed attempted murder and was the first one that betrayed him, by the time where Star Allies happens they are mostly good, but... Man, as much as Kirby is a forgiving guy I doubt that he is REALLY all good with Marx, he may be, mostly, but in the end he is a living being with emotions, and as much as he is Void with positive emotions he is not inmune to trauma (At least to me, that's up to you) the experience itself is traumatic, Kirby may be less likely to be affected by bad stuff and recover quickly after a terrible experience, but he is not inmune.

Magolor's betrayal wasn't that impactful to Kirby as it was with Marx's, as I said, Kirby wasn't alone, it wasn't the first time, and Magolor "tried" to make amends, building an amusement park is not suitale for a heartfelt apology but that's something and Kirby has a simple mind, so that's okay with him.

But Marx didn't do anything (As far as I know) until Star Allies, it also works, I think? Kirby acts friendly towards him but it still stings a little.

It was probably his first major adventure, his first time out of Popstar, his first betrayal, his first time in space and his first time facing an eldritch horror, basically, Magolor traumatized him.

Something similar to the Marx-Kirby thing happens with Magolor and Bandee, but Bandee had it worse because, well, he's just a little guy, before the RTDL thing Bandee wasn't that familiarized with crazy adventures, he was in a safer environment since he had Kirby, Dedede and Meta Knight with him tho, but still it was so tough for his tiny heart to handle.

So that's why I adopted the "Bandee loathing Magolor" headcanon, he is not as forgiving as Kirby after all, he is just a little guy, the most sane of the gang, he is not actually that sane to me, he just appears it because the others are way more insane so they make him look normal, but no, he is not okay, he needs to be tucked nicely in a bed with fluffy blankets, that goes for Kirby too, Kirby is better at handling this kind of stuff but, please, let him dilly dally and have an strawberry cake before destroying the next lovecraftian being.

I don't know if it's only me, but his naps are a way for him not only to recharge, but a way to recover from all the bad stuff, like an emotional healing mechanism? It only works for his kind tho, for anyone else that's not healthy, sleeping and having pent up emotions (You know what you are)

But for Kirby works, I think.
