Nia was restless, and stepping through the threshold of Everything Goes during its early weekday afternoon lull was her last ditch effort to not cave and end up at the resort. It was her day off and she could already mentally picture the look she'd get from her sous-chef if the restaurant manager walked into Alvaro's that afternoon. She'd been up since the crack of dawn, as per usual, and desperately needed to occupy herself. The quiet of the coffee shop was itself a bit of a letdown, but with her laptop bag in tow, she marched towards the counter.

On instinct, she'd started to order, "May I—" The scene in front of her belatedly sunk in and Nia cut herself off. Her umber gaze dropped, and her head tipped to the side to curiously scan the title of the book nestled in the baker's hands. "I know the name of this place is Everything Goes, but... I'll admit, I wasn't expecting this." A warm friendly grin danced into place. "Is this one of Leyla's advertising techniques? Pay a hot guy to pretend to read behind the counter."

Dinner was ready, she could smell it. As always, her senpai's cooking was superb, even better than hers, albeit she was still an amateur. With how busy he was teaching Fuuka how to not mess up so often, her impulsive thoughts won while they were talking. Teriyaki chicken was one of her favorite foods, so she used the ladle to get a quick taste. Which turned to a full-on bite of the chicken leg, and she was, unfortunately, caught red-handed.

"Eek! S-senpai, I can explain...!" Her face was redder than the delicious sauce as she quickly let go of the ladle to face him with a nervous laugh leaving her. "I was... starving. I still am. I'm sorry... it won't happen again, I promise!" His cold glare was enough to send shivers down her spine, even though she found it charming.

"You'll forgive your leader, right...? Pleaaase?" She gave him the old puppy dog eyes trick as a bonus.

Well aren't you kind. You're kinder than most people I've met in this town. The people in this town can get so full of themselves. They really have anger issues or something. But not you. You're sweet. I think you might be my favorite person I've met so far. Haha. Good for you. A quality woman in this day and age.

"i feel bad for those poor suckers." asli said this with a sigh, her head cocking to the side and the look in her eyes nothing but fake sympathy. the suckers she was referring to was the couple in front of her, gently cooing over their baby. asli was cynical in nature, and whenever she saw someone much happier than herself, she felt the need to make a snarky comment. needless to say, she earned the nasty look that the couple shot her, though she ignored it by turning to the person beside her. "suppose they didn't like that, huh?"
