Eret: Remeber to vote guys, I can't vote in this election as I'm just a brit living in the US, but this is a really important election, so don't throw away your vote if you have one

Chatter: who do you think we should vote for?

Eret: I won't tell you that, as I don't want to influence your decisions or make it seem like I'm coercing you into any specific opinion. But I think you can guess based on everything [note: *gestures vaguely to their bisexuality and the fundraising bar to pay of their friend's medical debt*], you can guess who I hope wins this election, but I just want your voting to be your decision.

Some dsmp "fans" a few months later: so TheEret is evil because [...] and they think people were right about voting for trump, and [...]

#This is an insane thing I just remembered #Not tagging bc i don't want to bring this up again #But this was fucking crazy behaviour from some of the dsmp 'fans'#And somehow it was not even the craziest #Anyways I don't have enough clout to coerce you by just stating my opinion #So I will tell you: Vote For Harris. So many lives depend on it #(FYI I don't think Eret was wrong in their concerns regarding their power as a content creator with a fambase)#(And tbh had I been in their position I also would've been careful as FUCK about supporting specific parties)#(However I'd be very open in my non-party-dependent political opinions and specific policy that I support)#(I also don't think people who openly support a specific party/candidate are wrong either. Its their platform they can use it how they wish
