I know you like Kung Fu Panda and presume you also like the Super Mario Bros. Movie, so tell me, what other animated movie or movies do you like the most?

Also I'm sure I've already praised you a bit in the Ultimate Ask Game but I'm not sure if you saw my ask, so I'll just say again I really like your stories, at least the ones I've read (seeing as I'm not into NSFW stuff - but I'm sure they're good in their own right). First off! I’m so sorry; I DID get your response to the Ultimate Ask Game, but I got so many at the same time that keeping up with them was too overwhelming. So to you and anyone else who sent asks for that one game that I never responded to: your responses WERE seen, and they ARE appreciated more deeply than you can know!! I’m just. Bad at handling things when they come flooding in at once. 😅 Thank you so much!!

As far as other movies… I love animation, but when it comes to films, the bulk of my interest lies in extreme cinema! Other favorites include Martyrs (2008, the 2015 American remake is a special kind of bad), A Clockwork Orange (which I know isn’t extreme by today’s standards, but you can’t overlook its historical importance to the genre — and its soundtrack was composed by Wendy Carlos, a groundbreaking trans composer!), and the Saw films (which some will argue are too mainstream to count as extreme cinema, but I regard them as an excellent entry point to the genre, and just a fun guilty pleasure series all around).

Beyond those, I don’t really have any solid favorites. I love extreme cinema and horror (especially of the psychological and supernatural varieties), but while I enjoy watching, there’s not many that outright stick with me.

as a new writer (not new to writing, just new to publishing here), I get discouraged really easily, no matter how much I like my writing. I’m autistic, so I tend to take things to heart. do you have any tips for people like me? aaaaanddd did you experience anything like this when you started

i'm going to be honest the first time i posted here, i was shit nervous. i was like "what if people think it's absolute shit?" i even told myself that if it flopped i'd delete my account forever, let my fics rot in my notes, and never post again. but i asked myself "why do i care so much? do i really need the external validation? or am i doing it for fun?" if people don't like it, that's their issue, not mine. scrolling is free and as long as i'm not offending or hurting anyone, why wouldn't i keep doing it for my own enjoyment? writing is fun, it's something i've always loved, and honestly, it's mind-blowing when people ask for a part two or leave a nice comment. like, it's genuinely crazy, i'm just here, sharing something i've always enjoyed and did since i was a kid, and random people online actually like it too? wtfff. (not to mention the great friends i've made with this account, forever grateful for those)

every reblog, every comment, every message, every single anon flooding my inbox asking for a part two or to be tagged (anons asking about maneater, i see you🙄) or just stopping by to say something nice about my writing—it means the world. i'm not even kidding. y'all have no idea how much something so simple can make my day, and i'm sure it's the same for maaany other writers.

so, my advice? write for fun, write for yourself, and try not to have any expectations, especially if you're new here. let people get to know you. interact with other authors as much as you can. read others' work, make notes of what you like (and what you don't) if you're looking to improve/struggling with writer's block. and interact with their posts!! comment as much as you can, cause every writer needs feedback as much as you do. appreciate every single bit of feedback you get cause, often, the "quiet" readers are the ones who think about your fics all day (ME, IM TALKING ABOUT MYSELF, i may not always interact, but some of you should be writing books CAUSE????)

if you run into haters? block em skibidi toilets, delete their comments. don't waste your energy on someone hiding behind a screen just to spread negativity. you don't need that in your life. if they can't give you constructive criticism you don't need it, you don't know them personally so don't even take it to heart even if it's hard

okay…so something has been weighing on my mind the past month. first i want to say to those who i promised a story to — i am in the process of writing them. as quiet down is ending soon with part 8 (half done already), part 9, then an epilogue — i’ll be able to focus solely on those requests and hopefully get them out to you in a timely manner.

but... i'm finding myself feeling more discouraged each passing day... i decided to create this blog so i can share my stories and interact with other fans but time and time again i feel like a machine.

i have people asking to be put onto tag lists and predominantly that's it. first, thank you for asking, i love that, but i'm not used to the way tumblr fanfiction works around here. is it customary to consume story after story after story and not tell the writers if it's good or not? or talk about your favorite part of the chapter/story? to just read and not reblog or "like" the post? i used to write on asianfanfics (not sure if anyone knows that site) but over there you weren't/aren't able to read stories unless you are subscribed. there are actual statistics that show you if people are "actively reading" your stories. to see which chapters seemed to have done well (which is crazy since a whole story i wrote...granted never finished...had ups and downs throughout the chapters -_- idk...) but it at least gave the writer a clear view as to whether or not people were enjoying things. on here...i'm left in the dark... i don't know if you guys are reading the stories, if you like them or not. and i know that not everyone is going to read EVERY story i put out but the numbers aren't adding up on my end... i write these stories for myself (of course) but i also write them for you guys as well. i try so damn hard to make sure that stories feel inclusive enough for all ages 18+ (which is why i do not/hopefully will not unless specified) use 'noona' 'oppa' 'unnie' terms. i try to remember we are all different shapes and sizes so any smut i write (i try to make the scenes believable enough for those who are a size 0 to a size 22+) because we're all beautiful and as this is a fan "fiction" i want us all to experience our little fantasies to the best of our abilities... but again...it's crickets on my end...

i don't want to leave this site at all...i want to keep writing for those who actually like my stories, but it's getting harder and harder...

i’ve read on here that some people are afraid to talk to writers because they think that they are flooded with messages. well i can tell you for me...i'm not. there are actual moths floating out of my inbox whenever i come on here haha

i've also read on here that some people are intimidated by their favorite writers (which i'm not saying i'm your favorite, but hopefully an honorable mention XP) thus making them shy away from talking. i assure you i’m a nice person. if you ever felt shy to talk to me don't ^^

i'm sure some people on here are thinking "well you don't have to write. you can just write these for yourself not post them" to which i'd say... i had hoped to have found a community of people who i can talk to and just fangirl over any group i write for but i'm starting to think i was getting my hopes up to high.

if you have talked to me please don’t take this message as me saying this to you. to those individuals you know who you are i want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart thank you! whether we chatted for a day or through anon messages, thank you.

at the end of the day, i get it…people don’t like reblogging because they have blog aesthetics, but if you look up at the top of my profile where i have fav stories, that's a sideblog where aside from gifs/pics i have reblogged some stories to help out other writers. it's not impossible to do and you can keep your main blog as 'aesthetic' as you like.

i was shocked to see that my quiet down story has literally "7 notes" on Part 7, and it's been up for 24 hours...i can't even find ANY of the parts when i search up the hashtags because the engagement has been so low they're nonexistent..i've had to reblog the other parts so much that i'm thinking am i the only one doing this?

seriously i ask kindly, if you like my stories reblog them so others can find them. that is all i ask.

this story started off on a plus side but as the story has progressed it has just gone downhill. i have no idea if it’s because it’s terrible. if the writing just sucks...the plot is bad... and i don’t know if it’s because im writing about renjun and haechan…

i could be overthinking but lately things have just gone downhill on here and it’s not making me want to update or produce stories in a more timely fashion...

i may loose some of my followers for posting this but please you have to know and understand that behind all of these stories that you're reading are people writing them. people who work their asses off to give you something worth reading. taking time away from doing other things for all of us (including the writers themselves) to indulge in a world of fantasy that is fan fiction.

tell your favorite writers you like their stories. send them messages encouraging them to keep going. or just to say hi and ask how their day is going, or possibly start a dialogue with them about kpop (or if they've talked about other interests ask them about that) we're all fans here. reblog their stories. i can't stress this enough, if you want to truly and i mean truly 100% help your favorite writers reblogging and then liking the stories is crucial. reblogging helps the story to reach a sh*t ton more people than liking the story (but likes are always welcomed). tell them in a comment if you liked the story or if a certain part shocked you/excited you w/e (or do it in a message anonymously). just make sure that your favorite writers stay on here...because i know A LOT of them are leaving...and it saddens me as well.
