I see these everywhere. and i mean EVERYWHERE. and also i need motivation so lets go ig
10 notes- i'll drink on weekends too(i forget cos on weekends im just at home and not at school lugging around my frank green in my tote bag)
20 notes- i will(try to) pay attention in class
30 notes- i'll watch my whole watch later playlist on yt
50 notes- i'll actually do the techniques im learning in â¨therapy⨠to help with my anxiety and shitty social skills
75 notes- i'll take my iron tablets every day
100 notes- i'll start my assessments when i get them(i have one due tomorrow which i was gonna finish now but i'm doing this apparently)
125 notes- i'll ask my crush to hangout alone during spring holidays
150 notes- i'll try to go for a run or at least a walk every day
500 notes- i'll write another chapter of my fanfiction
1k notes- i will actually make an effort to get clean
2k notes- if i see someone pretty that i want to go out w in public i'll ask for their number cos holy fuck i need to put myself out there. even if we js end up being friends cos holy shit im lonely
3k notes- i will actually finished the dress i started making
4k notes- i will try to get over my crush cos its â¨never gonna happenâ¨(she so pretty and masc tho its gonna be hard)
5k notes- (this is so far up here cos idk how to do this so im gonnna need a lot of time to figure out how) im gonna try to demolish the rumour that im gay thats going around a bit.**
6k notes- i will finish all my crochet projects and not start any new ones until im done.
**context. i go to an all girls school and theres a lot of people so its not like everyone knows everyone, even in my year(theres approx. 174 in my year alone, and theres 6 year groups at my school cos high school is 7-12 where i live) but some people know me ig cos i know a few girl who are more notable, im in the top class and i recdntly started sitting with a group that the popular girls call furries.
(theyre a pretty big group and popular girls hate them cos one or two of them are trans - ftm, ftnb etc, no mtf cos my lovely/s catholic school wouldnt let trans girls in- several of them are gay, a few of them are emo, most of them are poc's and a few of them dont have english as their first language. overall they are seen as the "weird kids" in my year)
so this rumour apparently is going around that i like a girl in my class(i absolutely do but if you havent noticed my school is hella hoomophobic and i could very well get beat) which js isnt ideal and is gonna lead to a lot of issues, especially if a lot of people start believing it so if you guys have any advice pls lmk. and its not like i can js get a fake bf and show him off cos its a GIRLS SCHOOL. if i reconnect with a friend from primary school tho we could pretend to be dating and like make a post on social media. but then kids at his school would find out and hed either have to tell them its fake(which would eventually find its way back to my school, and when i say eventually i mean immediately) or he couldnt get a girlfriend so that probs wouldnt work.
i know it sounds like im making a mountain out of a molehill but ive got years to go here and i dont want to spend all my high school years getting bullied bc even if i went to a teacher about it or smthing id have to like analyse them first and try to figure out which ones are homophobic or not.
like learning about why "being gay is a sin"(pretend im saying that really mockingly) is literally in our curriculum.
holy shit that was longer than expected.
no pressure tags: @wishiwereheather13 @loserboyfriendrjl @fracturedsunsets @chasingthemoony @stars-and-leather @starsofleo
thats all im doing idk how you guys can stand js copy and pasting moots over and over i cant do this i did the first six that came up and that seems like enough đ¤ˇââď¸
begun doing
going to do
finished

20 Questions More
This is a deeper and more detailed version of the 20 questions for AO3 fanfic writers. @nottawriter hit me with a tag, I have been attacked lol.
1) How do you keep getting ideas for your ship / fandom? A dash of shower thoughts, with a pinch of I watched a movie and couldn't help but think... Yes, that will work. They often feel like the come from nowhere.
2) Which authors inspire you in your fandom, and why are they so freakishly good? That's not fair how dare you ask me this!!!! Uhhh I'm mostly reading Supercorp stuff these days sooo... @jazzfordshire, @mycatismyeditor, @fazedlight, @innamorament0, @scribblingpunk, @fyonahmacnally to name a few. AAAAND my co-author and a vast array of things @tomatopudding! Why? Idk, I just get drawn a lot to these works and think they're lovely, and I love their depictions of these characters I love.... with @tomatopudding we just vibe very well, sharing the same five brain cells helps.
3) Aside from the characters of your main ship, who are the characters you love to write? If we're talking Supergirl... That's so hard, but I might have to say Brainy and Nia if really pressed... and Alex. I really enjoy Alex.
Otherwise, my other faves include all of the Les Amis from Les Miserables (if you know you know), specifically Courfeyrac and Marius and their hilarious dynamic. Other faves include Eliza Schuyler-Hamilton, Eponine Thenardier and... This could go on for a very long time, are you sure you have time?
4) Are there pairings or tropes you know for sure youâd never write about? Which ones? Not putting Kara and Lena together just makes me sad... So Supercorp ftw all the way, they are my top (I am a lot more amenable in other fandoms I've written for)
Tropes... I'm unlikely to do Omega-verse, I haven't done it and I can't see myself starting even if I sometimes read it.
5) What is your writing process and why is it cursed?
When I worked in retail I wrote on stupid little scraps and probably lost about 75% of them. Sometimes the method is hand writing, and then typing and making edits during that process as well. The handwritten can vary drastically from the typed draft lol.
I tend to fly by the seat of my pants unless someone is keeping me in line. I'm pretty darn chaotic.
I doubt myself a lot, so I always think whatever I write is garbage no matter how much proof there is that's not true. Also, sometimes I get burnt out, or my muse dies and then I feel terrible. Yay.
6) What is your favorite part of your writing process? Falling down rabbit holes, looking into fun topics. Likely ending up on a government watch list for the stuff I've searched up over the years
7) Whatâs the weirdest thing youâve had to research for a fic? Uhhh.... hmm. I have no idea what the weirdest is lol. Cause it's on my mind, probably looking up what types of wood are easiest to chop, and why. (There is definitely weirder, but I don't remember right now).
8) Is there a particular writing rule you struggle with (grammar, spelling, tense, reality in general)? Commas. They hate me, and I hate them.
9) What was your hardest scene to write so far and why? Oof. Uhhh... This is so hard! Honestly there is a lot of stuff in my co-written very long series Hamilton Family Album that was *a lot* between research and feels.
Especially when you're co-author hits you with unexpected feels out of nowhere that you weren't anticipating (YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID).
10) Have your characters ever done something you didnât expect, changing your plot completely? Of course, they have. It happens all the time.
11) If you could converse with any of the characters, who would it be and why? Ohhh... Hands down Kara and Lena, I wish they could be my friends and we could hang out. Why? I think that they are absolutely incredible, wonderful and I could just sing their praises for ever.
12) What are some of the tropes or themes that you find yourself returning to in your writing? Oooo, I'm a sucker for fluffy romances, and I've been dabbling in smut recently. Other themes for me can be like found family is a really popular one for me.
Since I've written both a lot of Les Mis and Hamilton stuff (among other similar things) I've done a lot of "Modern AU's" as well, which are uhhh varied to say the least. If I can treat anything they way the treat most Shakespeare pieces these days I do it.
13) Whatâs your most important resource as a writer? Asking for help! Soundboarding with other writers, I love doing it. It helps me make sense of my ideas... Or decide they're maybe too out there (almost never lol)
14) Can you share some of your strategies for editing and revising your work? Reading it out loud, I have a hard time noticing errors otherwise. Asking someone you trust to look it over as well, take your time and double and triple check if you're unsure about something.
15) Which is worse: making the summary, picking the tags, or the anxiety when you post your fic? D. All of the Above
16) How do you define success for your fanfic - hits? Kudos? Comments? Bookmarks? Or just if you like it? I try to just write for myself, usually because I haven't seen something like it and think it should exist. I do really enjoy getting comments if only because I'm always curious to hear what readers think about my work.
17) Do you have a playlist for your favorite character / ship? I don't, and if I did it would be odd... I'm the most massive theater nerd. I do have songs that I think fit the vibes, and some shows I listen to have more apt things than others. Or if it's Les Mis it's the whole dang album lol.
Supercorp things if anyone is curious (and wondering how odd it could get): Mercury Rising from Lizzie, Come Home With Me, Anyway the Wind Blows, Wait for Me and Wedding Song from Hadestown, In A Crowd of Thousands from Anastasia, Origin of Love from Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Maybe I introduced you to something fun today.
18) If fan art was going to be made from your work, which fic would you pick and which fan artist would you like to create it? Oh dear... I don't know. The thing I'd love to see art for isn't up yet and I just think it would be fun but it will be called What Was I Made For... And we're gonna leave at that for now.
19) How many WIPs do you currently have? I'm finishing up You've Got New Followers (One chapter left!), I think three other WIP's (two more plotted than others) and my WIP for May-Hem... So five?
20) Whatâs your advice to new fanfic writers? Don't be afraid just because you've never done it before. That's why fanfic is amazing. You can do what you want and in reality no one can stop you, just make sure you're having fun.

3...2...1... Happy New Year!!
For the first (?) time, Iâm actually going to make and complete a New Years meme, because fuck it, I had a good year. Iâm also going to put much shorter answers for last year since I had wanted to do this then, but then... didnât.
Favourite new (to me) band: Against Me! Â Â Â 5 favourite songs:
The Ocean
White Crosses
True Trans Soul Rebel
I Was a Teenage Anarchist
Norse Truth
Iâve known about Against Me! since lead singer Laura Jane Grace since she came out as trans in 2012 with her Rolling Stone profile, but I hadnât heard any of their songs until a couple of years ago. This year was the first year I really got into her music (both here and with The Devouring Mothers) after reading her biography Tranny while on vacation in Melbourne.
Runner up: Miss Guy and the Toilet Boys, seen for the first time at Wigstock 2.Ho
2017â˛s answer: Ataru Nakamura, the very, very talented trans performer who played Yitzhak to JCMâs Hedwig in Japan (and because of the staging, also played Hedwig for the non-singing part of the script.)
Favourite new (to me) city: Melbourne, Australia.
If you had asked me last year, my answer would have been Tokyo, Japan and this yearâs is my favourite for much the same reasons: Melbourne is very easy to get around, very fun to walk around, and I got to see the wonderful John Cameron Mitchell perform there.
Melbourne is absolutely beautiful with so many shops to explore and a free (within the few square blocks I mostly kept to) public transport system.
Runner up: Sydney, Australia. Very similar to Melbourne and might have been the favourite if I had been able to stay there longer, but.... schedules.
2017â˛s answer: Toyko, Japan. For the reasons listed above. I could actually see myself moving to Tokyo at some point. Not right now, but possibly eventually.
Favourite concert: John Cameron Mitchell: The Origin of Love, Brisbane
This year I have seen this concert seven times in addition to one very abridged show in Portland, Oregon to go along with a double header of Hedwig and How to Talk to Girls at Parties.
On this particular date, the band gelled really well; John was in a great mood, great energy; the crowd was incredible..... Everything just... Worked. (Even tho this was the concert I had the least amount of interaction with John afterwards, lol.)
Definitely looking forward to seeing where John takes the performances for his upcoming stateside tour and at a later, yet to be announced, time in Japan.
Runner ups: (aside from the rest of the OoL tour), Rocky Horror with Mason Alexander Park, Taboo 15 (with Mason), Alice Cooper, and Wigstock 2.Ho where I finally got to see NPH performing as Hedwig.
2017â˛s answer: Hedwig and the Angry Inch: October 14th, evening. Tokyo, Japan.
In my estimation, this was the best of all of the Hedwig concerts. By this point, everyone had performed this in front of an audience twice before and the show from beginning to end gelled really well. Again, there was an incredible energy between the band and the two lead performers and the audiences for all of the Japan shows were great. From beginning to end, this one was the best.
From about the Tommy monologue til the end, the final Tokyo show (Oct. 15th) was the best because there was this crackling, alive, angry energy that had an almost dangerous feeling to Exquisite Corpse and was the only show (surprisingly!!) where I cried at the delivery of my favourite line âThen love the front of me.â On that show, with the exception of Exquisite Corpse, I cried from that line til John started the encore song, âThe End of Loveâ and I had only stopped there because I had completely forgotten he was doing an encore song.
Favourite movie: Black Panther
Iâve been waiting literal years for this movie to be made and there was not one thing to be disappointed in in its final rendering in my opinion. I realize that unlike a large portion of the audience, this movie was very much not reflective of my experiences and at no point would I claim to be represented by it as anything other than a nerd and a comic book fan.
Being a fan of the Black Panther for years has meant having tone deaf comic lines, sidelined animated stories, and much less content, merch, and even cartoon adaptation than some of his paler counterparts. So to see a film that was technically and narratively perfect being rendered so beautifully and taking the box office for many, many weeks was a wonderful way to start this year.
Runners up: Deadpool 2, Bad Samaratian, and does How to Talk to Girls at Parties even count for this year if I saw it last year in Japan??
2017â˛s answer: a strong tie between Transpotting 2 and HtTtGaP. T2 because it was so much better than I could have ever hoped it to be. It married themes and footage from the first film perfectly to the charactersâ lives 20 years on. It gave me hope for an eventual Hedwig sequel in terms of quality because based on interviews, they share a similar tone in terms of ageing characters. Plus Danny Boyleâs cinematography was truly beautiful with the use of shadows, call-backs, foreshadowing.... A true equal to the most iconic of Scottish films.
HtTtGaP because well.... John Cameron Mitchellâs direction mixed with an alien invasion set against punk rock and the Queenâs jubilee? How could I not love it? To me, itâs a strong second to Hedwig in terms of quality and netted my absolute favourite review via the BBC (âThis is one of the worst films ever madeâ, trust me Beeb reviewer, if that were true, cinema would be a far more enjoyable art form.)
Favourite vacation: Australia
Long story short: I met my favourite actor five times. Itâs very rare in this life that you can actually tell an artist who influenced your life in a very meaningful way just how much their art and they as a person mean to you. This year, after seeing JCM perform live eight times and on video, no lie, thousands of times, I had the chance to actually do this. And unlike how I was worried about for the past three years, I wasnât actually nervous to talk to him at all. Part of that is that he is a very easy person to feel at ease with, very comforting presence.... And part of it was that during the first Australian show I went to where Iâm dressed as the very first Squeezebox Hedwig, John lay on top of me as part of the final number. How could I be scared to talk to him after that introduction??
Runners up: going to see Taboo 15 in New York with my best friend and touring the David Bowie Is exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum (March), going to see Wigstock with Risa. Technically, I ditched work to be able to go, but.... 10/10, I would do it again. I saw a lot of amazing performers for the first time, had a chance to chat with Mason again, and saw the tour de force that is Neil Patrick Harris as Hedwig and Lena Hall as Yitzhak.
Hopefully next year, the Hedwig section will be able to be longer. (Or maybe Yitz will perform by himself. Or multiple Hedwigs. Or just the entire Hedwig script delivered at the end of a seven hour drag festival pre-show.)
2017â˛s answer: Hedwig in Japan. Not only did I get to meet my friend @miyacantdecide for the first time in person, I was able to see the wonder that is JCM as Hedwig live. Even when heâs not delivering the script, his presence as Hedwig is truly something else. And having seen him perform as himself (but in a version of her makeup) this year, I can honestly say that She has a completely different stage presence to Him and how incredible of an actor to be able to deliver such radically different interpretations of the same material and songs??
Outside of Hedwig, I can honestly say that I came back from Japan a changed person. Better in so many ways than I was a year previous. Almost completely made whole again after past traumas (and completed a year later on a different trip.)
2017â˛s runner up: seeing RENT 20 live. I had a blast hanging out with my mother most of the days and the RENT 20 cast? Holy shit. What talents. Cried from âIâll Cover You (Reprise)â til the end of âFinale Bâ. Just goes to show: it doesnât matter if the showâs set in December and itâs hot As Fuck outside if you have a talented cast bundled up in sweaters for 75% of the script.
Favourite album: Golden by Kylie
Not only does popâs most talented princess talk about her recent breakup with Joshua Sause (sp?), thereâs themes of her ageing as this year our princess turned 50. While I agree with reviewers that this isnât her best musically or vocally, I find myself replaying this one over and over on my stereo and headphones more than almost any other album this year. Favourite song: a toss up between Shelby â68 and Low Blow.
2017â˛s answer: Pollinator by Blondie. It had been two years since the release of 2014â˛s Ghost of Download, but unlike Ghostâs offerings that went largely unnoticed by me at the time, every single from Pollinator got me more and more hyped not only because of the excellent music evident on songs such as Fun, Long Time, and Doom or Destiny, but collaborations with artists such as Raja (on the video for Fun) and Joan Jett (the aforementioned Doom or Destiny), the honey-thick entrancing song Fragments, and the wonderful Love Line.
This year has been weirder, queerer, and more wonderful than any year yet on record. Iâve been to a number of technically-but-not-really drag shows, revisited some of my favourite artists in concert, met two of my favourite Hedwigs, and saw four total Heds perform.... Iâve read and learned more about the queer experience that not only deepened my understanding of my larger community, but of my own experiences and how they fit within the community. Iâve become more confident being out to coworkers and customers at my job....
I had the pleasure of meeting two of my close friends @hedwig-in-a-jukebox and @fdelopera in person (with plans to meet up again early-2019) as well as making some new friends.
Hereâs to an even better 2019! Onwards and upwards.
#about me#new years meme#((let's see if I remember to complete this before it posts))#((cos I'm writing this when the year's not even 75% of the way done!))

post 1, day 3
Currently reading :
The Winter of the Witch
Currently Listening:
Delta Kream -- The Black Keys
I've been really into Mississippi blues lately. I don't know what sparked it, except for the fact that I was in the mood for listening to The Black Keys about a month ago and I've been stuck on 2006's Chulahoma for weeks. (Specifically 'Work Me' and 'Have Mercy on Me'. Is there an underlying theme here? We're in the thick of Winter and all the sudden and I'm in the mood for dirty blues rock reminiscent of low, hot summer afternoons. It's not like it hasn't been hot here-- up until last night (Sunday), it was 75 and sunny in GA. This morning we woke up to snow on the ground and temps in the 30s. Thaaaaat's Winter in the American South, my friends. Temperamental and unpredictable to a fault.
No matter, though. Our house is warm and cozy and our bellies are full from chowing on homemade chili for dinner. K's got a busy day of running around tomorrow, so it'll be a day packed full of chores for me-- I'm trying to keep myself on some sort of routine so I don't let myself spiral into an unmotivated rut. Taking care of the house is also taking care of us, and I feel better both mentally and physically when I accomplish tasks I know need to be done.
I also forgot how strange it is to write 'day in the life' posts. I haven't journal-ed about life stuff since I was in my early 20s... and it feels weird to say I'm no longer even in my twenties... I honest-to-gods thought turning 30 would feel like just another birthday... but no. With the turning of the wheel to age 30, it was almost like I could feel a wall coming down that spelled out 'OLD' and I could feel it.
It didn't start right away, of course. A few months into my new decade, I started having raging heartburn that gave me the one symptom likely to make me panic: chest pains. I'd been through these before: sometime in 2017-18ish I was working as a manager for a restaurant chain popular for the moniker(?) 'Peace, Love, and Chicken Wings', and what I didn't realize was that at 27-28 years old, my guts weren't gonna keep allowing me to eat "turbo" (read: hottest sauce in the restaurant) tossed fried chicken nachos once a week during my shifts and get away with it. (Among other totally good for ya snacks like fried pickles, corn nuggets, and cheese sticks.) Let's face it, I was likely on the fast-track to high blood pressure/sugar and diabetes with the way I was eating. And it wasn't that I was eating all this fried shit every day or even every shift, but it was that I was always working, so I was trying to eat salads and grilled chicken, but even that can only go so far in a kitchen that serves frozen to fried bar food for the majority of the menu. I didn't really eat unless I was at work.
And if I was at work, I was stressed. Put under constant pressure for $2-$4 less than my co-managers, even though one of them reportedly could 'never be found' during their shifts and was always sneaking out back to smoke blunts instead of work. Because I allowed myself to be a doormat, I never saw what went on behind the curtain until it was too late.
Long story short, I ended up taking a trip to the ER one morning (during a work shift). I had a panic attack because of the chest pains and ended up calling K to go ahead and take me to the emergency room. (sidenote: everyone at work was so concerned and wanted me to give up my shift to get checked out... My boss had my BFF text me to check that I was okay.) Turns out it was a bad case of acid reflux and heartburn, and I was just experiencing my first-ever symptoms without realizing what they were and panicking. When I got back to work, my boss elbowed everyone around into laughing with him... all because I went to the ER thinking I had heart issues and it ended up just being a bad case of heartburn.
(sidenote 2: this is the same boss who, the year prior, had gotten cellulitis from an ignored supposed spider bite on his leg and spent 2 weeks in the hospital nearly fighting for his life. He revealed later that while layed up in bed he'd done nothing but watch all of us on the restaurant cameras for two weeks. He had no thanks to give to the staff that stepped up and ran the restaurant in emergency-mode for him-- only condemnation for how sorry we all were for disappointing him while he was "watching us run around.")
Needless to say, I didn't stick around at that job too much longer. I left either later that year or the next, and the heartburn (and stress!) eventually eased. For a while, at least. Until last year, after turning 30. The heartburn came on with a vengeance every time I ate something spicy, and my guts started to become sensitive to onions and bell peppers. I slowly experimented with my diet and made changes according to what made me feel the most sensitive, and in October of '21 I finally quit smoking after 10 years of daily nicotine intake. I should've stopped way sooner, but any time is a good time to quit a bad habit.
These days the heartburn is still a bitch and my chest still gets tight, but I'm working on myself one day at a time. I'll learn what works and what doesn't.
...
... I didn't expect to write so much about getting older. I think it's an okay intro post for this blog, though. Maybe I'll come back to it in a year and see what I think then.
Until the next post,
x

Oh hey thanks for the tag!
1. How many works do you have on ao3?
14! This will change!
2. What's your total ao3 word count?
53,592, which is pretty neat considering most of them are oneshots.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently focusing Bungou Stray Dogs! But I dabble in many, having an ongoing My Hero Academia fanfic that has outlasted my fandom presence, and some TMNT works on the way... I'll also probably end up writing
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
"That Awkward Moment When You, Your Class, and Your Worst Enemies Get Stuck in a Timeloop - 691
"In Candlelight" - 75
"The Greatest Problem" - 74
"Case of the Criminal Copycat" - 59
"The Inconveniences of Illness" - 56
5. Do you respond to comments?
No, but I've been thinking of changing that. I really do appreciate the comments left on all my works, and I'd like to make sure people know that I do.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
That's difficult to say, especially since it depends on what kinda angst we're talking about. But if I had to choose, it's between Winner Takes It All or The Wanderer of Hissui- and I'm personally inclined to say the latter since it tells a complete story, while the first is part of a much longer narrative.
7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I'd say The Greatest Problem, honestly. It's not even 1K words, making it short and sweet.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Nope! I did get spam once though.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I am physically incapable of doing so. The most I've done is the vaguest paragraph known to man which doesn't detail the act, just communicates that it's being done, and even that makes me embarrassed talking about it.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
That I do! None posted to AO3 just yet, but I have some TMNT iteration crossovers planned, as well as one BSD fanfiction that's heavily inspired by Clue 1985.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not as far as I know, and I certainly hope not.
12. What's the longest you've spent working on one fic? And the shortest?
I've been working on my timeloop My Hero fic- which is still ongoing- since June 2021. It is November of 2023. I do not see this fic ending anytime soon, so the answer is: Years. (And this is just counting from my published fics, not a certain WIP that has yet to see the light of day.)
As for the shortest... if I'm feeling particularly good, I can finish a oneshot in just a couple hours, but I don't do that as much as I used to.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! Though as of writing this it isn't ready for posting, I am currently working with some friends one one.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship? From all fandoms?
I'm a massive multishipper you can't just ask this. We'll be here all day.... that said, here are some are particularly clingy:
Mushiango (BSD)
Tokoraka (MHA)
Aidesse (MCSM)
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Though I have had to lay down some WIPs to rest, I generally like to leave myself open to coming back to my fics/WIPs, even if it's been a long time since I've touched them. If there's one in particular though, it's an almost 10K My Hero oneshot that's been untouched for 2 years that probably only needs another few scenes in order to be complete- I even have part of the ending written already. I haven't given up on it yet, but... I don't know if that means I'll ever actually finish it.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue and character development! Aside from being some of my favorite stuff to write (or rather, letting the characters wander off to write themselves) it's what people have usually complimented about my work.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Get myself too write. But for writing itself, action sequences. Trying to write things quick and fast-paced when you're very wordy and like to get specific imagery across is very difficult, but I'm practicing to improve on them.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Cool! With non-fanfic and stuff too, I always like seeing people adding those kinds of details since it often comes from something unique to the author.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Probably Pokemon, as it was one of my childhood stables I would create for constantly.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
I don't think I have one? Even if I did, it would probably change in a couple months. I really like my latest BSD oneshot Nowhere to Return though, if that counts?
Tagging @a-problematic-writer and I suppose anyone else who would want to!
20 Q's for Fic Writers
thanks for the tag @spacejammie-eimmajecaps!
How many works do you have on ao3? Officially 8, but I have one on anon and one currently unrevealed in a fic exchange
What's your total ao3 word count? 61,996
What fandoms do you write for? So far I've written for Death Note, Tangled the Series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Haikyuu, plus a couple of crossovers. Haikyuu is definitely my main rn though
What are your top five fics by kudos? #1: Frosting and Freckles: 69 (nice) #2: Draw Me Near: 39 #3: [embarrassing anon fic]: 35 #4: Varian Is Not a Wizard: 25 #5: Midnight Coda: 21
Do you respond to comments? Yeah, I love to! I don't get a lot so they always make me happy :)
What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? probably the anon fic sdfsk but other than that, Midnight Coda is kinda bittersweet because of what happens later
What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? hmm idk but the sappiest is definitely Frosting and Freckles
Do you get hate on fics? Not so far, thankfully! I don't think I have a big enough readership for that haha
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I have not; not sure what kind it would be if I did
Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? I love writing crossovers! A PJO/HP crossover was actually what got me into fanfic. Unfortunately most of them are merely concepts or abandoned (for now), but as for crazy, I think my Lunar Chronicles/PJO one is the craziest in terms of how the plot grew out of control from a simple "what if these two characters interacted" to "I could rewrite most of this series," which is why I got stuck and put it on hiatus lol but I do want to get back to it someday. Maybe once I finish my other active crossover
Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not to my knowledge
What's the longest you've spent working on one fic? And the shortest? Uhhh well if we count "working on" as "having it in the back of mind to get to but haven't worked on in months," probably Sent from the Heavens lol. If not, then Varian Is Not a Wizard (just over two years since I published the first chapter). Shortest is definitely Midnight Coda, since I wrote that pretty much in a day iirc
Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but it sounds like it could be fun!
What's your all-time favorite ship? From all fandoms? Dude I have no idea how to narrow that down. Best I can give you is my current fave is Tsukkiyama from Haikyuu
What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Probably my "Leo Valdez ends up in the ATLA world" one :sob: It never made it past the word doc and about three pages of story and I haven't looked at it in like two years
What are your writing strengths? I like to think I'm pretty good at dialogue and grammar/spelling
What are your writing weaknesses? Everything else (jk). I am awful at describing scenes/settings; I get bored writing them so I don't put as much effort in as I should haha. I also tend to ramble and use passive voice too much
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I haven't done it, but I think it's fine as long as it fits the context
First fandom you wrote for? Published: Avatar: The Last Airbender. Unpublished: Percy Jackson
Favorite fic you've written? I think it's still Bent Out of Shape. It's so niche, but I had an idea and I executed it, and I'm proud of what I accomplished. Although once I finish Varian Is Not a Wizard, that might take the top slot.
