TRISHA'S SKELETONS IN HER CLOSET - MEGA THREAD
Welcome to the Tumblr dedicated to exposing the narcissistic, domestic abuser, and hate monger that is Trisha Paytas. She has infiltrated different groups of youtube influencers over the years and has managed to FOOL many into thinking she is an ally, a body-positive role model, a mental health advocate, and an all-around good person. SORRY TO INFORM YOU; THAT IS A LIE. Read this thread to get an idea as to why she deserves to be de-platformed.
The Handmade Bracelets Debacle [Trisha Paytas' Endless Greed]
In 2012, Trisha announced she is selling handmade Swarovski bracelets to her followers. (Note: She couldn't even pronounce Swarovski properly!) It was later revealed that she purchased the rhinestone Shamballa bracelets from eBay for $1-5, says she handmade them and in true Trisha greedy fashion, offered the bracelets to her young followers for a hefty $25 (the price jacked up 5 times). Here is a video.
Being Gay IS A Choice [Trisha Paytas' Ignorance of LGBT Community]
In 2014, Trisha uploaded a video spewing homophobic nonsense, claiming bisexuality does not exist (Poor Shane Dawson...), that we're "all a little gay," comparing gay marriage to animal marriage e.g. "marry a horse," and that people choose to be gay, e.g. "your sin of choice." Due to backlash, the video was removed one day later, and ever since, in podcasts, she has claimed it is a "trolling" video to get a coin.
On October 7th, 2019, Trisha Paytas uploads a video titled, I AM TRANSGENDER (FEMALE TO MALE). Due to massive backlash from her audience, the LGBT community, and even popular trans-YouTubers, she eventually removed it from YouTube a month later.
On 27th October 2019, Trisha Paytas - H3 Podcast #152 is uploaded. She conflates being a drag queen with being transgender. When asked to describe what makes her male, she claims she has a "male energy" and it's "how she feels inside." She asserts you "can be a gay man and a lesbian." When Ethan jokes, "Hila and me are lesbians, we're gay for each other," Trisha gasps and says, "You can't do that!" Even though that is technically what she's doing, claiming she is a gay transgender man while looking like a heterosexual woman who has monetized her female sexuality for clicks, views, and profit since 2007. Ethan asked if the trans video was monetized since there were midroll ads on the video, Trisha denied it, saying, "I don't know how to put ads on videos." Ethan got her to download the YouTube Creator Studio app and pointed out that she made 8000 dollars on that I AM TRANSGENDER video.
At 18:49, Ethan says a fan who identifies as trans has some comments to offer; "Trisha mentions no feelings of gender dysphoria, which is the medical condition that identifies someone who is transgender. If she were to go to a gender identity therapist and ask to medically transition, she would most likely be denied because she has no gender dysphoria." Trisha replies, "Well, I wouldn't say I don't have dysphoria, I hate having a vagina, for sure!" Yeah, I'm sure you do, boo.
The "Fuck PETA" Incident [Trisha Paytas' Disregard for Animals]
In 2014, Trisha uploaded a video talking about how much she hates animals and does not care if they are abused or tortured. Here is a video where someone references the modern-day rabbit chair incident and uses highlights from the F**K PETA video to illustrate that Trisha does not care about animals in 2014 and 2021.
Unfortunately, the original F**K PETA video has been entirely scrubbed off the internet. The video was only posted for 6 hours before she removed it due to massive backlash and posted an apology video, where she says the F***K PETA video was "trolling" and that she doesn't stand by it.
Racism and Anti-Semitism
Trisha has a well-documented history of racism from her years on youtube, even once admitting that she is racist. Here is a compilation highlighting some of her racism. In 2015, she released a music video sexualizing Django Unchained, singing "you can whip me every night, just like Django" while cosplaying as a black slave. She also released a song called 'Jungle Fever' where she states she is an 'Interracial Whore'. In January 2013 she uploaded a video called 'Black Men + White Chicks' stating thick white women have deeper vaginas than black women and are better suited to date, black men. She has also said the 'N word' on multiple occasions stating she thinks it's racist that she can't say the word because she is white. She came out as black citing her body type as “a thick black girl and eyelids dark and oily”. She also uploaded a video to complain about a black woman whom she didn't know at a bar calling her 'ghetto, stinky, hairy c*nt'. In a video, she even claims that AIDS is a result of black people having sex with monkeys. She has also used the word 'ghetto' a variety of times including this clip calling her long nails 'ghetto, stating she looks like Laquisha' and one video where she was scared to get out of the car as 'she was in the ghetto and there were 6 scary looking black men'. In another instance, she accused random Hispanic men 'of being gang members that will kill her'. She has voted republican several times stating she's conservative, making videos supporting Donald Trump's presidency and several for Mitt Romney, though she backtracked stating her Trump videos were 'satire'. In one video she justifies the wall as 'Illegal immigrants are stealing jobs from Americans' and states 'they don't pay taxes'. In this clip, A Hispanic man asks for a photo and Trisha drives away in disgust and says 'ew, literally getting hit on by someone who doesn't know English. Trisha has also cosplayed as Indigenous women, Hispanic women, and Black women. In one instance claiming the pimple on her forehead makes her look like an 'Indian person'. She claimed previously she likes to think 'she is Asian, and it is not racist since she likes rice' and proclaimed in a video that 'Asians eat cats and dogs'. In this video titled 'White girls problems' Trisha makes a multitude of racist comments towards all different ethnicities. Trisha's mother also shares the same racist tendencies quoted as saying 'he's so foreign he looks stupid' and complaining foreigners don't tip her. She has stated a few times that she cannot be racist as she was on Celebrity Big Brother UK and they wouldn't have let her on the show if she was.
Trisha has a long history of fetishizing Jewish men. A fellow YouTuber, Mr. Beard, released an informative video that outlines her fetishization and anti-semitic rhetoric. Trisha made a video titled “Jesus and the Jews” [video has been scrubbed]. Chambers of Spoilers is a YouTube channel of a woman and her sister, who are both Jewish. They compiled a very comprehensive video about Trisha's Antisemitism. They also compiled a Google Doc which has links and specific time-stamps of when Trisha said antisemitic statements in 2020.
In 2020, she uploaded a video titled "How to seduce a Hebrew man" which showcases an awful accent and blatant racist stereotypes. She has perpetuated anti-semitic tropes repeatedly stating Jewish men are cheap, you can "pay to be Jewish", and has said every Jewish Stereotype in the book as shown in these compilations. In more than one instance, Trisha has recorded herself doing the Nazi hand gesture, aka the "Heil Hitler" arm motion. She has lied stating she knew nothing about the Holocaust, though she is quoted as reading many books on the subject and uploaded a video titled My Thoughts on Hitler in 2013. In this video, she praises Hitler, while condemning and mocking Jews. On an episode of Frenemies, Trisha states Moses just being Jewish turns her on and admits she and her husband have roleplayed Holocaust extermination shower scenes together. Trisha often claims she's "Jewish by insemination" and association to get out of controversy though she admitted that Moses does not identify as Jewish and she has not converted to Judaism. She has stated converting to Judaism would be turning her back on god so will not be converting which is not surprising as she had a youtube channel dedicated to being catholic called "The Catholic Vlogger". On Tiktok, after many dancing Hanukkah uploads, a Holocaust survivor even called her out for being offensive. Here are 2 links to some of her tweets Link 1, and Link 2 showcasing her antisemitism over the years (which she adamantly denies).
In 2012, Trisha dressed up as a J-pop star character, Popstar Trishii, that mocked the Japanese language, J-pop stars, and the gyaru community.
In 2015, Trisha Paytas has done a music video inspired by Django Unchained, where she does blackface, dresses up as a slave (Brunehilde), and sang, "you could whip me every night, just like Django"
In 2015, Aria Hinton did an article on Superfame.com, about Trisha Paytas being upset she can't use the N-word or anti-gay slurs, saying "You're All Oversensitive"
In 2016, the release of her new album "Daddy Issues," her song, "Jungle Fever" is extremely racist.
The Fetishization of Religious Groups, the LGBT community, and Deceased People
2011 - Gays I Want to Bang
2013 - Mormons I Want to Bang
2013 - Having Sex with Dead People
2020 - H3 Podcast - Trisha Loves Jews ... & it's Weird
2021 - H3 Podcast - Ethan Has Had Enough of Trisha's Jewish Obsession
2021 - Visiting Hare Krishna Temple for the First Time + TEMPLE HAUL!
She claims to have had sex with multiple celebrities, such as Jim Carrey, and Robin Williams when she was a hooker, then she claims she knew him on Frenemies but "doesn't want to talk about it", John Stamos, Bill Clinton, Bradley Whitford, Marilyn Mansion, even claiming she had sex with an entire baseball team.
Romanticising Sexual Assault, Sex with Teachers (SA allegations against Mr. Riney)
2010 - Don't Stand so Close to Me - Dedicated to all my teachers I lusted over
2013 - Avoid Getting Raped!
2013 - Is it rape if she's drunk via @DrPhil
2014 - Is Rape a Turn On
If you haven't seen Mysterious's channel already, she went into great depth about the extent of Trisha's lies and SA allegations against her teachers, more specifically Mr. Riney. Originally, Trisha spoke very highly of her teachers, saying they encouraged her to work hard to graduate, that she has potential and that they believe in her.
Over the years, Trisha began to change the narrative of "my teachers inspired me to finish high school," to, "my teachers SA-ed me," saying the teacher's name on Frenemies episode #17 (Ethan has since pulled this episode down, out of respect for the deceased teacher and his family's privacy.) to encourage her followers to "look it up." The teacher is DECEASED and the story regarding the assault changes multiple times (it's changed from a teacher molesting her because she wears a water-bra, a teacher molesting her while the classroom plays heads down, thumbs up, a teacher molesting/SA-ing her after letting her borrow Cape Fear/Taxi Driver to teachers coming to her house to SA her.)
Here are PART 1 and PART 2 - basically, there is NO criminal charge, investigation, or any news articles. If there was a SA of a student by a teacher in the small country town of Byron, Illinois, it would be ALL OVER THE NEWS. Mr. Riney is a respected teacher and a well-known, There is no evidence that Mr. Riney ever SA-ed a student (if there was, he would not have been allowed to renew his teacher's license) and he passed away in 2011, so all we have is Trisha's word against a deceased man who can't even defend himself against the allegations.
The accumulation of this finally led to Trisha having a full-blown meltdown on Twitter, she refused to clarify the SA situation to clear Mr. Riney's name, exposed private texts with Ethan and Hila, while begging them to "tell their fans to stop attacking her" (Newsflash, Trisha, your FANS are angry and fed up with your behavior!) Here is another video that details the lies uncovered during Frenemies and her meltdown on Twitter.

Dating a Convicted Pedophile and Defending Him
In 2017, Trisha Paytas dated a convicted pedophile and defended him. Here's a tweet with a video.
His victim was only 3 years old and he admitted he did the crime.
(OP Note: THIS IS SO SAD!! AND DISGUSTING OF TRISHA! Wtf!)
Years later, the convicted pedophile was tried for photographing a 3-year-old boy in the Dodger Stadium bathroom.
Daniel E Carroll - Autistic Man who was bullied by Trisha Paytas' and her Trishy Fishies
Trisha had a fan, Daniel E Carroll who is an autistic man. Here is a video. She would constantly post about how she was afraid for her safety and Daniel would offer her support in DMs on Facebook. They messaged daily and became friends (Trisha even called Daniel a Super Fan) until Trisha suddenly stopped responding. She made videos about how this man was an obsessive stalker who was harassing her, wouldn't leave her alone and claimed she was scared for her safety. Her Trishy Fishie army attacked him, and he made a video, explaining what happened. He was understandably frustrated because Trisha claimed he could come to her house and kill her - he does not even HAVE A CAR to drive from Texas to LA.

Dissociative Identity Disorder & DissociaDID with Anthony Padilla
After Anthony Padilla did an episode of Meeting People with DID with DissociaDID, Trisha uploaded a video "DID - WATCH ME SWITCH" where she talks about how she feels like she has different personalities and showed herself "switching" on camera (obviously it was acting). Both Anthony and DissociaDID made a response on social media, explaining that DID is a mental illness and to please not mock people's struggles by pretending to have DID. As a result, she sent her Trishy Fishies to attack DissociaDID to the extent that they removed themselves from the platform for their safety (DissociaDID left the platform for different reasons. It’s way too much to get into but they caused a lot of harm to other systems, supported their ex’s p*do drawings, has alters with racial stereotypes, and lied about a lot of things.)
Trisha Paytas used to date Encina Severa, a woman with actual DID. After they broke up and when the DisassociaDID situation happened, she used the knowledge from her relationship with Encina to act out her "switches"
Here's a video about Encina and here's her comment on Trisha's DID video. Post credit to u/

Jeffree Star / Shane Dawson / Ryland Adams
Trisha was invited to an LA trip by Jeffree Star after recently leaving the hospital, she was still in recovery from her drug problem but agreed to go on the trip. She didn't feel up for partying so Jeffree Star and his posse allegedly made fun of her skin and weight, smacked food out of her hand, and said, "there's a balcony over there, jump off of it."
Trisha left early to go home and makes videos about how Jeffree Star is such a fake, mean person. She tries to tell Shane and Shane is like, "I don't want to believe Jeffree would do that. Come over, we'll have food and you can forget about it." Trisha felt like Shane was being dismissive and thought Shane wasn't seeing that Jeffree Star was a horrible person. At some point, Trisha blocks Jeffree Star. Trisha sees that Jeffree Star is invited as a guest once on Ryland's podcast, Sip The Tea.
What pissed Trisha off was a 5-minute segment on an episode that came out the same week everyone else was talking about Jeffree Star - when it was rumored he was dating Kanye. Ryland asked Jeffree Star for a commentary in form of a voice memo and put the audio in the episode. It wasn't a very long one, only 1 minute long.
She unleashes an attack on Shane, Ryland, and Jeffree, ultimately cutting off Shane and Ryland by unfollowing or blocking them both. She makes multiple videos, calling them out on their behavior and crying about how mean they are for not seeing her side when Trisha had been Shane's friend for 7-8 years. She felt betrayed by Shane and Ryland and felt they just wanted to keep being friends with Jeffree Star because he's rich rather than a long-time friend, like her.
______________________________________________________
HairByJay - IG Live / Wig Situation
During the LA trip, Trisha got a few wigs done by HairByJay. She made a video where HairByJay charged her double the amount for the wigs. This lie caused HairByJay to go off on IG live at Trisha, calling her a whale, fat, ugly, and disgusting. He also said he gave her a discount on the wigs. Trisha posted a video of her reacting to the IG live, she cries and is upset, and her Trishy Fishies attack HairByJay and he makes an apology. Mysterious does a video about the entire incident here.
Trisha also accused HairByJay of coming by her house, saying her security guard saw him, however, this story has a shaky foundation. Trisha is known for lying and accusing people of turning up at her property, claiming she's scared for her safety, and that the person is going to harm her. She made the same lies of this nature about Daniel E Carroll, HairByJay, and Gabbie Hanna.
RichLux
During the LA trip, Trisha created a story about how Rich Lux was given her bag by Jeffree Star, which she was "fine with," until she realized her camera and clothes were in it. She accused Rich Lux of stealing her camera. Rich Lux had beef with her for fabricating such a story that didn't happen.
____________________________________________________
Gabbie Hanna
Trisha Paytas and Gabbie Hanna have been feuding for years.
In 2019. it was the incident where Trisha confided in Shane about having herpes, Shane then informed Gabbie who felt she had the responsibility as a friend to tell Jason Nash (Trisha's then-boyfriend) about Trisha's herpes, as Trisha had not told him. This caused an explosion of drama and videos, with Trisha accusing Gabbie of lying about her having STD/herpes.
In 2021, one of their last fights was when Trisha went on Gabbie Hanna's podcast for an episode. Gabbie was trying to get Trisha to admit that they had been friends, but Trisha kept denying it and laughing nervously. The podcast finished and Trisha uploaded a video of a voicemail from Gabbie to prove how obsessive Gabbie is. She accused Gabbie Hanna of coming to her house to harm her. Gabbie stated that she doesn't know where Trisha lives.
__________________________________________________
Jason Nash, David Dobrik & Vlog Squad
Trisha made an unhinged video about David making a threesome joke about Tana, Jason, and Trisha. In this video, she attacked people in Jason's life from the mum of his kids to his bestie Brandon. A few days later Jason and she made a weird video that was supposed to be her apologizing to those people but ended up in an argument. He was staying in her house at this time for whatever reason. She released a music video that same day or the next.
The following day after that he escaped her house to go "hang with his kids" and as soon as he had some distance he called her to break up. That's when she staged her little suicide gambit. She took a pill mixed with alcohol and acted woozy. Adam, her makeup artist/dancer/BFF at that time (who she later trashed) took her to the hospital.
We know it was an act because on the ride there she texted Jason to tell him that she had tried to kill herself and was on her way to the hospital. Nobody close to death is this manipulative. He was with David at the time and they rushed to the hospital together. When she saw David, she assumed that it was he who had talked Jason into dumping her evil ass earlier that evening, so she started screaming at David. In her hysterics, she said shit like "I wanna die" which the nurses are obligated to report as a danger to herself even if it was just her usual drama. THAT'S HOW SHE WAS 5150'd. This was in February.
During her 48-hour stay in the hospital, he stayed supportive but they didn't get back together. He then proceeded to stay friends for the next three months. He was however openly starting to date and even joined Tinder. She admits she knew because she would "borrow" his devices and snoop. He was weaning her off him so he refused to attend her birthday because that would have allowed her to show him off like they were still a couple. She snapped when he didn't show up to the party and drove to his house. You've got the rest of this correct
... although I'm not sure I buy that she was admitted a second time. That's a detail that she started tacking on much later. Plus she didn't disappear. Remember all this went down the same weekend as Nicocado exposing her, Ethan's whale video, and her fake going cold turkey off opioids. It was quite the week for our Trish, lol.
This video confirms my post including the fact they broke up and she was 5150'd February but her birthday is in early May. Note the video was made in late May and she only mentioned one mental ward stay. Also, note how she outs a famous person who was admitted to the same ward. Evil cow.
TLDR: They broke up, she threatened death and was committed to a mental ward. He stayed friendly but started drawing boundaries. She snapped when he skipped her bday and terrorized him. She's probably lying about being admitted a second time.

Trisha Paytas has a clear pattern of abusive behavior. Trisha has abused many of her boyfriends in the same ways. For example, Trisha also took her ex Jason’s keys and refused to let him leave for hours (even blocking the door — he was so scared he wanted to call 911 on her), just like she admitted she did to her fiancé Moses when she stole his keys and physically abused him! She admitted on Twitter that she also refused to let yet another ex, Sean, leave her — even physically restraining him against his will. Disturbingly, Trisha’s fiancé Moses indicated in a deleted Tiktok video that in addition to physically abusing him, Trisha has also forced him sexually, as well as threatened to kill herself when he tried to break up with her. These are classic abuser tactics — Trisha Paytas is a textbook liar, narcissist, and serial abuser.
Trisha has spoken several times - including on Frenemies - about the time she drove her car into her ex Jason’s house while high on meth, endangering his and possibly others’ lives, but neglected to mention that it was a premeditated act — she had previously threatened to crash her Lamborghini into Jason’s house, it was filmed in a vlog! Even more disturbing, messages have come out where Trisha’s fiancé Moses allegedly said that Trisha has also threatened to drive into his building while “high and drunk and naked”!!! Trisha Paytas is a very dangerous individual.

Moses Hacmon
In 2020, Trisha Paytas began dating Hila's brother, Moses Hacmon. When Trisha went on the Frenemies podcast, she admitted to physically abusing her fiancé Moses — all the while disgustingly minimizing it, rolling her eyes while talking about it. She admitted that she stole his keys so that he couldn’t leave, that she fought him for twelve hours and left bruises on him. She lied and insisted that it was just an isolated incident when it was anything but — Trisha Paytas has proudly publicized and profited from the abuse of her partners for years.
Post credit to u/Chelsabelle
They have since made up and got engaged in December 2020.
Two of Moses' ex-girlfriends came forward and revealed that Moses stealthed them, stealthing is the act of removing a condom during sex without the partner's acknowledgment or consent. Trisha initially ignored the SA allegations, despite preaching, "believe all SA victims," sent her Trishy Fishies to overwhelm the ex-girlfriends into silence. She insists they are lying, trying to chase clout and that Moses would never do such a thing.
Ethan Klein, Hila Klein & H3 Podcast
In 2019, Ethan Klein uploaded a video called "Instagram vs. Reality" in which he highlights the illusion and unrealistic expectations of one's appearance that IG creators perpetuate to a potentially young following. This resulted in Trisha coming onto the H3 Podcast for two interviews.
In 2020, Ethan and Trisha decided to do a podcast together, called Frenemies. This resulted in an extremely popular podcast that was enjoyed by millions of people, however, it wasn't all great. Trisha has stormed off the podcast three times. Trisha threw Ethan's pill addiction he had in Israel in his face, insulted him and Hila's parenting, shamed them for having a nanny, called Ethan a "cuck," and called Hila a "c*nt." She was jealous that they constantly talked about Hila's pregnancy announcement. She has frequently and shamelessly flirted with Ethan, who was uncomfortable and kept asking her to stop doing that, which she never did.
She also kicked Ethan's dogs, demanded Moses to "get rid of his cats," and went on Keemstar's podcast to talk shit about Ethan, while wearing the Frenemies merch as a "fuck you" to Ethan.
Here is a video that goes into the details before, during, and the aftermath of Frenemies.
The Rabbit Chair Incident
Trisha uploaded a video, called "Our Tim Burton Inspired Beetlejuice Dining Room + Decor," where she showcases her Tim Burton-inspired dining room set, complete with custom-made dining chairs that had rabbit skin attached to the back of the chairs. Due to massive backlash, she removed the section of the vlog where she confirms with Moses that it is real rabbit fur.
BONUS (02/10/2022) - Lil Radio Gamer made a rap song dissing Trisha and Moses about the rabbit chairs!
Going Vegan
After receiving backlash for the rabbit chairs, Trisha announces that she is "I'm officially vegan now," she goes vegan for two weeks and accidentally consumes a tiny bite-sized SNICKERS bar, and uploads "my apology to the vegan community," in which she laments over eating a tiny piece of chocolate, says how intense going vegan is, it's so hard and apologizes to the vegan community, also says, at 8:07 "To all of you non-vegans out there, shame on you for eating meat. You're going to get your karmic hell here on Earth!"
In a recent video, titled "I'm Fat and Ugly" she admitted to having cheese on nachos and baked ziti, but then later in the video admitted to an entire week of binging. This is important because of the timing. She manipulated her audience into thinking that she had been vegan for approximately two weeks and then made that stupid Snickers video. However, the ‘I’m Fat’ video was recorded previously, but yet she waited to put it out. She purposefully misled her audience to gain attention (attention from the vegan community, along with purposefully causing outrage for the nasty remarks she made against those who consume animal products in the Snickers video) and sympathy (failed weight loss).
u/alice-in-slumberland has done a video on Trisha's trolling of the vegan community over the years, please feel free to check it out!
Conclusion
Trisha is a pathological liar who thrives off any kind of publicity and attention, she delights in creating drama out of thin air. She consistently rides the waves of whatever is trending at the time in a desperate bid to remain relevant (e.g. mental illness, mukbangs/eating, dieting/weight loss, political views/political movements, veganism, and being trans/non-binary) to her followers.
Trisha Paytas condemns people who body-shame others, yet delights in bringing attention to Nicovado's recent weight gain to others. She delivers confusing messages to her followers, she bounces between being proud of being fat and then feeling disgusted, she cries about how fat she looks and goes to get liposuction done (e.g. She released the THICK music video on 20th Feb 2017, promoting body positivity while she got a liposuction procedure done immediately afterward (This video puts Week 6 post-op of liposuction meaning this places the liposuction procedure the day the THICK music video was uploaded. She later uploads a video boasting about how "being skinny is so much better" on 11 April 2017. She constantly goes on about how she hate watches many people on YouTube, then dares to chastise her audience for hate watching her.

His assurance was everything, even if she had her questions about what the last few months had entailed, but she trusted that when he was ready, she would know. “They sound like really good people, but they're the lucky ones to have you” her musing came thoughtfully as she continued to take in the sight, dumfounded entirely but grateful, so grateful. Her curls cascaded down her back as she looked up, the action causing for her laughter to carry as she admired the attention to detail prominent within every element of the design “are you kidding, even the ceiling is beautiful. I love it. All of it.”
The gentle guidance of his hand on her waist felt only too natural and as she turned towards him, he was greeted with giddy laughter. “This is unbelievable” her words came paired with an expression of disbelief and pure joy entwined and swept up by the jubilation of the moment, she released his hand but ensured to maintain a point of physical contact. In one seamless movement, her hand sought placement against his shoulder; slow to divert to rest against his chest. Finding herself captivated by the steady rise and fall of his chest beneath her touch as she searched desperately to form the remnants of a sentence.
His words were ones that she had longed to hear from as early as she could remember. The promise of a home, of safety within secure walls, but even she knew now that this could be so much more than just that. She wasn't done playing just yet however, despite already having known her answer from the moment that she had walked through the door.
“Hm” feigning an expression of deep concentration, her head tilted as though she was weighing up options “I might have to get back to you on that. I mean there was a real nice creaky shack out there, leaky roof, broken door - that kind of thing....” The banshee could barely keep a straight face as she grinned from ear to ear before dropping her voice to a playful whisper, “it had a real homey vibe to it, so I guess i’ll let you know.”
Her laughter soon returned and her free hand rose to rest against the side of his neck; her fingers sitting just beneath his jaw as she edged herself just a little closer “I should be the one asking you if I can stay.” There wasn’t a single part of her that wanted this moment to end “but the real question is, can you put up with me?” Each word was spoken softly, a breath hitching in her throat as she finally allowed herself to accept everything that was being offered.
Billie found herself repeating Briggs once more, bewilderment residing within her expression “home...” and her smile had since softened, but it remained as she sat with the word; still giddy from the sentiment. With each moment that passed she could feel the sting of tears threatening her once again as a slightly breathless laugh bordered on a soft sob. Whilst she knew that she didn't need to say the words, she wanted to "there isn't anywhere else i'd rather be."
"Well, one of my moms is like...normal age, but the rest, yeah, pretty much," he confirmed, watching with almost a sense of glee as she tried to process it. He'd have to ask Uncle Klaus if it was this much fun for him to tell people how old he was. "Some people call them the Old Ones. They're real legends." He was practically bleeding pride at this point because even he didn't get it. What did legends care about some homeless kid? But they did, and it would never make sense. "Swear on my life." His smile matched hers as if nothing had ever gone wrong, her next thought caused his nose to scrunch, playfully commenting. "yeah, I'm kinda hoping no one looks that closely at it. But if I really don't want them to know, I have cash, and...well, I'm still pretty good at stealing shit."
He never could imagine how someone would leave her behind, how it hadn't been one look and just done. This kind of happy, healthy, extravagant life should have been hers. Selfishly, he knew their paths had crossed because she hadn't had that, and that was hard not to want to keep. She had changed his world...no, she had been the entire world. As crazy as it may sound if ever said aloud, he'd have lived on the streets like that with her forever.
His eyes couldn't stay off of her for long, returning over and over, only looking away to make sure they didn't collide with anyone else. Once they were still, he could focus completely, even in the loss of all the right words. How could he possibly express the effect, the impact she had on him? The way meeting her felt, the way living with her felt, the way losing her felt. No, even poets hadn't captured that. Yet, gazes locked, hearts beating abnormally, he knew...it didn't need saying.
Glancing over, he shook his head and quipped back, "suddenly she's a Yelp reviewer." Even now, he couldn't stop watching her. He wanted to see how she experiencing it all. Keeping his eyes out for others at the same time, he didn't want to overwhelm her, but maybe he also wasn't ready to share her quite yet. Not until he could show her everything.
"I'm sure," he replied, "after the last few months, I could commit murder at this point and they'd get over it. Besides, we have taken in lots of people who came back and didn't have a place to go. They won't care, I promise." Giving the door an extra nudge to open it that much wider to invite her to go ahead and dream, he studied her as he leaned back against the doorframe. "Told you," he murmured. The next second he was given a tug to follow her in, laughter cascading with each step. "I know, I still think I'm going to wake up and this was all some incredible dream, but I haven't yet." He motioned around the room, "and if there's anything you don't like we can change it. You can do whatever you want with it."
Reaching over with his free hand, he placed his hand on her waist to turn her to face him. "I know this is surreal, I know it's insane," he repeated, "but this can be your place. Your home. At least stay the night, and if you hate it, we'll figure something out tomorrow." Though he knew she wouldn't hate it, the smile threatening to tug further on his lips said as much. "Will you stay? Please?"

who: @kodadawson when: scout’s apartment // the wide open road somewhere in Nova Pangea
The knock at her door that evening was surprising, but it was even more surprising to see the person on the other side. “Koda.” The surprise is palpable on her face. They’d seen each other since the festival of course; they both had a penchant for finding trouble and trouble finding them and with Seamus as a shared friend, chaos may as well have rounded out their group in the absence of Atlas. But she had known that there was a shift in their interactions. They both knew. But like certain things that they never spoke about, that shift and what it meant had been added firmly to that list. She unlocks the chain on the door before opening it up fully. “What’s up?” It’s not said unkindly, but she definitely isn’t certain about what exactly he’s there for.

who: @kodadawson when: february 6 where: koda’s apartment
Mateo did his best not to dwell on scenarios where he'd felt completly devoid of hope. His mother had always told him that in times of despair and struggle there was no better time than to pray. Despite attending church with his parents every weekend, Mateo would have been lying if he spent most of it lost in thought. The other thoughts that came wafting thorugh his brain were easier to think about than God and all of his mercies and miracles.
But these last five days without his family, without his friends - it had Mateo praying religiously for what was the first time in a very long time. It was a small mercy Laurel was still there with him but it did little to soothe him. There weren't many things that could shake his calm, dreamy nature, but taking away the ones he loved most? It was his kyrptonite.
The day that everyone who had been missing reappeared had been a joyous one full of relief. But as soon as he untangles himself from the arms of his family, he rushs off in search of his friends. He makes it to Koda's apartment with breakneck speed, and his chest heaves as he raps at the door - not because he was out of breath - but rather out of worry. What if he isn't there? What if he hasn't returned? "Come on Koda," he mutters.

Secrets Part 2: Evidence - Antonio Dawson x Reader

Part One: Exs & Ohs
You stood in front of Voight’s desk, your hands clasped together in front of you. You’d caught his attention when you’d made sure the door was shut behind you. The team was already rattled by his thing with Antonio, they couldn’t reconcile the man they knew with the lies that spewed out of Laura’s mouth, they were working every angle, but it was slow going and you held the key to it all tightly in your right hand.
“He didn’t do it.” You told Voight, swallowing hard against the ache in your chest.
“I know that, and you know that.” Voight told you. “But without evidence he’s stuck in holding until he’s arraigned.”
“He was with me last night.” You said quietly.
Voight gave you a sceptical look.
“She says the attack happened at three in the morning so unless…” he paused for a moment scrutinizing the expression on your face. “How long has this thing with the two of you been going on?”
“Six months.” You said before you put the flash drive on his desk, sliding it towards him with a fingertip. “It’s footage from my ring doorbell. It has sound and video.”
Voight plugged the device into his computer and opened the file. You felt your cheeks colour as you heard your own laughter emit from the speakers, followed by Antonio’s husky voice.
“Baby, you better open that door otherwise I’m gonna be fucking you right here on the porch for every one of your neighbours to see.”
You moaned as he kissed you. It was obscene how good he was with his mouth. His fingers threaded in your hair, tugging your head back so that his heated lips could leave a blistering trail along the curve of your throat. You cried out his name as his fingertips toyed with the buttons on your blouse, popping the first one open.
“I want you so damn much right now.” He murmured, before undoing another button. “I wanna get on my knees and…”
Voight stopped the video.
“I really could have done without seeing that.” He told you, leaning back in his chair.
Your face was burning, you could feel the heat climbing across your cheeks as you cleared your throat and looked away.
“If you fast forward, you’ll see that he doesn’t leave until seven the next morning, he comes straight here after that.”
“Do you know what this will do to your career if it gets out?” Voight asked, indicating towards the video. “And things like this…. They have a habit of getting out. You know what it’s like, Antonio will get a clap on the back, and you get a reputation for being easy. I’m asking you if you are sure this is what you want?”
“I understand the consequences.” You told him resolutely.
Voight unplugged the USB and handed it back to you.
“Keep hold of it for now.” He advised. “If we don’t turn up anything else to prove he didn’t do this, we’ll have to use it.”
Neither of you wanted that. Voight was willing to let this play out as long as he could before he pulled out the ace out from under his sleeve.
“When this is over, we’ll need to talk about this situation and whether it’s tenable.”
“I know.” You assured him, before leaving the office and closing the door behind you.

links and titles to 2021 works
[crazy ex girlfriend] a chapter of and my heart, under my feet (11,075 words) - the end is so close you can taste it...too bad i am wretched and incapable of looking nearly-finished wips directly in the face
[julie and the phantoms] groupie (n): an enthusiastic or uncritical follower (707 words) - julie is a star and luke does not begrudge her this; inspired by my wanting to harness the 1.07 locker scene energy in a different direction
[julie and the phantoms] from daydreams and waking up (1,078 words) - julie thinks on her mom’s bad traits, as well as her good
[julie and the phantoms] hold what you’ve got (3,750 words) - band snuggles!
[julie and the phantoms] blissed-out inner star (4,206 words) - julie considers stage diving, luke encourages this
[julie and the phantoms] (reggie’s jam) (1,258 words) - a this band is back theory that’s also just an excuse to write the whole band bantering
[julie and the phantoms] one more try (966 words) - the idea that luke originally wrote bright for alex compels me
[never have i ever] i tumble from the sky (you remind me to fly) (491 words) - cross-posted from tumblr for the ‘give me a song and a pairing and i’ll write you a fic’ game that i grew very fond of this year, featuring mr. k before we even had mr. k

[never have i ever] those signals that you’re mixing (548 words) - probably my favorite ficlet to come from the song game; part of my heart is still living in the season two in which this lil fic takes place
[julie and the phantoms] something sensual (though non-conventional) (2,487 words) - luke can say a lot of things with a simple kiss; @nottheleastbrave’s cheer-up fic!
[community] i’ll go if you go, if you’re cool with that (1,598 words) - the study group ladies run an errand, post-s2 and written for @bethanyactually’s birthday because errand running is a pure expression of friendship and i would visit a target with bethany at the drop of a hat
[julie and the phantoms] just let my love loose again (6,089 words) - the follow-up to something sensual, physical touch is luke’s love language and julie starts talking back
[julie and the phantoms] you know me well, oh, don’t you? (1,630 words) - a flynn/carrie moment pre-season, written for jatp women appreciation week

[never have i ever] now that i’m in, how do i get out (3,261 words) - oh, this little exploration of ben’s loneliness in his own home post-devi living there was actually written in 2020 but it didn’t feel complete and i got dragged away into other fandom feelings. when i returned to read it over, though, i found it to be absolutely ready for publication.
[sex education] (don’t) tell me anything i don’t wanna hear (2,980 words) - i could not accept where we left maeve and otis post-s2 and had to write a fic about it

[buffy the vampire slayer] won’t you meet me in the dark? (321 words) - part of the same prompt game, a bit of s6 spuffy snuggles
[sex education] a good man who went down in flames (387 words) - more from the prompt game, maeve/otis banter vehicle
[sex education] dedicated (206 words) - maeve/otis in ten years’ time; never before have i written a better ficlet based on a prompt

[never have i ever] double vision, in a rose blush (1,836 words) - a couple d/b moments from season one contextualized in ben’s pov. or, three times ben unexpectedly finds himself in the middle of a daydream about devi and the one time it makes perfect sense to him
[never have i ever] take me up to your mind (1,523 words) - season two hate kissing!
[never have i ever] stop you trying to hide (the way you really feel) (6,554 words) - five times paxton gets dragged into devi and ben’s banter, and the one time he drags ben into a conversation with devi
[sex education] (you are) the glitch in my heart (14,070 words) - the follow-up to (don’t) tell me anything i don’t wanna hear, maeve’s pov as her relationship with otis develops
[sex education] even when the ship is wrecked, tie me to the rotting deck (586 words) - the song fic prompt game returns with m/o sexytime tomfoolery

[never have i ever] vertigo so dangerous, you’ll have to sign a waiver (1,159 words) - AU where everything happens the same except mr. shaprio never breaks up the wine heist party
[never have i ever] why don’t you show me the bitty spark you’ve been saving for his mattress? (8,265 words) - the 1.10 canon divergence masturbation interruptus smut we didn’t know we, as a fandom, absolutely needed
[the witcher] clever words and phrases only stain (5,765 words) - properly spiraling about this fantasy theater kid and needed an outlet; or, five compliments on his compositions that jaskier takes issue with and one he doesn’t
Favorite Fic: jesus, how are there 36 of them?? how am i supposed to pick only one?
spoiler alert - i’m not gonna. the shortlist of my favorite darlings from the year includes the driving fic (duh), both fics from the plum ‘verse (though especially the first one), and the d/b 1.10 smut.
Hardest Fic: i kind of dicked around this year more than any other. there are a lot of really short fics on this list that i kind of threw together to keep myself loose and writing but didn’t think especially hard about. so the driving fic gets this distinction with, like, zero competition. finagling it into completion was a Challenge at times.
Do You Plan to Take Prompts in 2022? really really truly obsessed with the song fic prompt game, so i’ll almost certainly reblog that again at some point in the next 12 months.
What was the best thing about 2021? you know what? i didn’t and don’t count it as a fic, but the exhaustive list of things i love about [each song on the jatp soundtrack] was the most fun writing project i completed this year. it was a light and happy time start to finish
What was the worst thing about 2021? i got super busy and, like, physically exhausted the last three-ish months of the year and i wrote comparatively very little. it bummed me out.
Any last thoughts for 2021? i wanted to bring some more gen-focused fic into the world, and i’m glad i managed a few - even if a couple of them had a shippy side-plot to them. here’s to some more gen fic in 2022!
Goals for 2022
to work on whatever i feel like working on and not feel guilty about it (worth keeping year in and year out) [again, excelled at this in 2021]
continue keeping track of my daily writing/writing every day (made it through the year only missing 12 days total, which is two less than last year)
break 200,000 words. just for kicks. (i was closer this past year than the year before, but i didn’t quite make it. rip.)

Sharing the Sunlight by Jenna Sinclair
This is one of my favorite moments in any K/S story. Reread it tonight trying to figure out how to make it into a tattoo.
“I should have known it was you. Nobody else can be so quiet. What are you doing here?” One eyebrow rose. “Currently, I am seated at the edge of the pool, conversing with you and acclimating myself to the water’s temperature.” Spock waited for the expected exasperated grimace, then proceeded. “Eventually, I hope to exercise by swimming.” “I know that, Spock. But why are you swimming? I know you don’t like the water.” “That is true. My youth did not accustom me to it. I must nevertheless swim occasionally to maintain my Starfleet certification.” Spock was scrupulous about following ‘fleet regulations. “I also overheard your comment to Lieutenant Uhura regarding your intention of exercising here this evening and took the liberty of assuming you would enjoy some company.” Kirk pushed off from the side of the pool to tread water directly in front of Spock. He looked up. “Not just some company, Spock. Your company.” He moved forward until he could put both his hands on the bony knees. The action was intimate, their very first intimate touch, and his hands began to tremble just before they made contact, but once there he held on for dear life. Kirk couldn’t believe his audacity, but when he looked up again, he knew his friend didn’t object. Spock was staring at him intently, both arms braced slightly behind him for support, and growing wonder in his eyes. His lips were slightly parted. As Kirk watched, he took in a long breath, and his eyes closed for a few seconds. When he opened them again, he seemed to have regained some composure, for the smile was back in his eyes, and he offered Kirk a raised eyebrow as well. Kirk returned a little smile, momentarily bereft of speech, and trying to calm the pounding of his heart. He looked down again to where his fingers lingered over the warm flesh. He noticed a few goosebumps on Spock’s thighs. His friend wasn’t nearly as hairy here as Kirk would have expected from all the hair he sported on his chest. Just a few black wiry-looking lengths. So different from the flesh that the captain usually caressed. Kirk looked up at Spock again. He wanted all to be open between them, could not risk the chance that he’d misinterpreted somehow. “You don’t mind?” he choked out, and his grip on the knees tightened. If anything, Spock’s gaze turned even softer. “No, I do not mind,” he said in his soft baritone. He straightened and then leaned forward, bringing one hand from behind him. It came to rest on Kirk’s hair where the captain’s head bobbed gently between his legs. “Do you?” he asked gently. Kirk felt as if he were drowning. The tension that sparked between them was almost unbearable, and it was mixed with the most unique sinking sensation whenever he locked gazes with Spock. Love, he realized dazedly. This is really love. It settled over him like a gentle rain on parched land. He wanted to soak in that mist forever. He closed his eyes and gave in to the sensation. Then Kirk felt Spock’s fingers thread themselves through his hair and begin to lightly stroke. The movement called him back to awareness. Kirk began to rub his thumbs over the warm flesh beneath them, feeling them teased by the occasional coarse hair. The tactile sensation on his hands alone was not enough, he needed more, so he slid his hands up Spock’s thighs until they were resting just short of the swimming trunks. The length of Kirk’s arms were now resting against the upper legs. He tilted his head to one side, laying it against one knee, and rubbed his face against it. He watched Spock as he did so. “How could I mind, when this is all I want?” he whispered. Spock’s eyes seemed to glow, then darken. The hand he had in his captain’s hair slid down to cup his cheek. Spock leaned closer to him, and breathed, “Jim….” “Hey, Captain!” an exuberant voice cried from the entrance to the locker room, followed by the sound of running feet and a loud splash. Captain and first officer jerked apart as if stung. Kirk turned in the water to see Lieutenant Dawson’s smiling face at the far end of the pool. “We’re gonna have a water polo game in a few minutes, sir. Wanna play?” the younger man called.

The night has been advertised by multiple commercials in the civilian’s homes, and even dead bodies littered on some residence lawns. It’s dusk on a Thursday in February. The gates to the Fire and Ice Festival are lowered after hours of waiting in the biting Chicago tundra, and the crowd, over 4,000 strong, rushes in. Most are expecting a night of drunken freedom, cozied up by the outdoor heaters that promise a warm welcome, but some foresee the chaos bound to erupt across the lawn.
The first act takes the stage, and anyone who isn’t inebriated, courtesy of the open bar, is perceptive enough to realize that, no, that’s not Kanye West. Instead they are mesmerized by the lyrical lip syncher Dante Yeast—he looks enough like him, it’s better not to question it. One would think that the O’Sheas, Vasiles, and the Fausts all gathered in one spot would spell disaster, yet the evening rolls on without a hitch, despite the tensions slowly building in its periphery. Fausts members, too, are scattered across the ocean of bodies, but some faces are missing, figureheads who pull the strings.
Maybe they’re absorbed by the crowd; maybe they thought better of attending, but there’s a sense of unease that settles in the air. It’s not quite right, but no one can put a finger on why. Another beer, and the thought is lost is the swell of the music—if they didn’t know any better, they’d think the bass replicates the sound of distant explosions.
You’re free to start plotting. You can start posting starters/threads tomorrow, February 20th, 2020 at 7:30PM CST ! Part II coming February 24th ( Plot Slots can be found below the cut ! )
We’re going to allow each person to choose two plot slots for two characters max .If there are any leftovers, we’ll let members know when they can sign up for thirds.
You’ll notice that some of these plots are public, so feel free to have your character react to them/ notice them even if they aren’t happening directly to your character. However, if something feels like it happened privately to another character, please check in with their Mun to see if it’s okay for your character to know.
To be clear: these are not the only things that happen to your character during this plot drop and you are more than welcome to cook up your own trouble.
To sign up for a plot slot message the main! You can start doing that as soon as right now!
CHARACTER A, CHARACTER B, CHARACTER C, are approached by the venue to play as impersonators for the opening act of the show. However, it turns out…they are the show along with other noteworthy impersonators.
CHARACTER D & CHARACTER E end up camped out at the ticket box office on the other side of the lawn seats. They want a refund for the musical event after their cards were erroneously charged the next day on ADAM & EVE. Much to their surprise they come face to face with CHARACTER F( Faust ).
AUTUMN DAWSON is shitfaced prior to arriving at the music festival. They try to crowd surf before the opening act, and would get immediately dropped if NATHAN BURR didn’t catch their fall.
CHARACTER I & CHARACTER J purchased tickets to meet the bands backstage. They are led by the security detail of the event to two tents filled with a scent of gunpowder. Upon further inspection, they find a crate of fireworks. Do what you will.
CHARACTER K jumps on stage to hijack the mic and accidentally falls and breaks their ankle.
CHARACTER L & CHARACTER M are dosed with PCP by a stranger serving up “free” cocktails. Everything is a blur and they both snap back to reality an hour later, but they’re in the middle of an intense fist fight.
EFFIE FAUST & CHARACTER O engage in a mud wrestling contest that is being judged by no one whatsoever.
CHARACTER P & CHARACTER Q make out in a port-o-potty, but realize shortly after they’re locked inside. It’s up to CHARACTER R to either let them out...or tip them over.
CHARACTER S is mistaken as Pat Benatar. ASLI DEMIR drunkenly convinces them to go on stage to sing LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD.
CHARACTER U & CHARACTER V go hard on the alcoholic beverages & psychedelic treats at the start of the festival, by the end of it neither of them know where their shoes or wallets are.
CHARACTER W finds their soulmate in a drunken stupor and grinds on them for the better half of two hours, only to realize the grindee is ZHI ROU, who has been uncomfortably shifting away from them this entire time.
CHARACTER Y breaks all of their glow sticks and covers themselves in the liquid. It’s all fun and games until that shit starts to burn. CHARACTER Z does their best to quench CHARACTER Y with every bottled water they can find.
CHARACTER A1, CHARACTER B1, & CHARACTER C1 are hired security guards for the event. They have no clue who hired them to do it.
INGRID VASILE starts to overdose on COCAINE. LEV VASILE notices their struggle and assists them to the med tent. DOMINIC MURPHY is around the med tent and notices the commotion.
CHARACTER F1 tries to charge their phone using the musical equipment & gets electrocuted. Also it starts to play the most recent song listened to on their phone which is SONG OF THEIR CHOICE.
GRIFFIN DYER is held up at security when they try to enter the venue, because they tried to smuggle in a small animal. CHARACTER H1 isn’t really security and jacks the animal instead.
SERENITY MICHAELS starts to question their sanity when they see a small animal run in circles in front of them and jet off towards the direction of the port-o-potty.
RACHEL BYRNE feels something small and furry scaling the back of their dress, and, assuming it’s someone’s hand, slaps DAHLIA CAVALLI in the mouth before the small animal scurries away and they have to apologize.
CHARACTER L1 chases the small animal and just when they are sure they’ve caught it, the animal bites them on the neck. CHARACTER M1, who is higher than a motherfucker and hallucinating, sees CHARACTER L1 cradling their neck and automatically assumes a vampiric transformation is happening. CHARACTER L1 has to survive the following attack from a stranger with a pocket knife.
CHARACTER N1 is on their fifth drink at the venue. They hear a loud slurping noise, only to find the small animal lapping their beer in hand. Out of surprise they scream which causes the animal to shit on their hand and run away. CHARACTER O1 looks on in amazement, wonder, and terror as CHARACTER N1 wipes their hand on an unknowing CHARACTER P1. CHARACTER O1 is conflicted if they should say anything but takes a Snapchat video of the whole scenario anyway. It goes viral on Tik Tok the following evening.
The small animal finally gets caught by SANTIAGO PEREZ in a battle that lasts 10 minutes. The small animal is then given to CHARACTER R1 whom they assume is the owner.
CHARACTER S1 is lost to the world, and passes out directly in front of CHARACTER T1 that had just spent twenty minutes in line for a cup of water. The cup of water is spilled on top of CHARACTER S1.
NAOMI WASHINGTON & CHARACTER V1 become instant buddies when they chant to the sound of “SHOTS” around the crowd. IRINA KOSHKIN takes this literally and pulls out their gun ready to fire.
CHARACTER X1, CHARACTER Y1, CHARACTER Z1 all show up to the venue wearing the same exact outfit. You have declared them your number 1 enemy for the entirety of the music festival.
CHARACTER A2 is high as fuck and thinks they’re making a flower crown for CHARACTER B2…..except it’s a crown of shrooms instead. CHARACTER B2 wears the crown, but has to swat CHARACTER C2 away who keeps trying to eat them.
CHARACTER D2, CHARACTER E2, CHARACTER F2 suffer from dehydration. They try to find help at the med tent, but they can’t find where it is.
ROSA LEON gets handsy with the bartender at the open bar and leads them away for a quick fuck, allowing RYAN HAYES and CHARACTER I2 to raid the bar freely.
CHARACTER J2 is the aforementioned bartender and realizes a moment too late their station is being cleared out. Instead of returning to their position, they throw on some neon bracelets and join the party.
CHARACTER K2 is doing some sick backflips in the middle of the crowd and are called out by the currently performing act mid-set for drawing attention away from the stage. CHARACTER K2 does another backflip to retaliate, but accidentally kicks CHARACTER L2 in the face.
JESSE VALENCIA hijacks a ELECTRIC BLUE STRATOCASTER from the backstage, and they are not caught.
DAVUT DEMIR feels like they’re being watched and finds a silhouette with a rifle narrowed in on them perched upon a nearby building. They quickly retreat to find OPHELIA O’SHEA and P2 and warn them about the occurrence, who realize there are multiple snipers surrounding the pavilion.
CHARACTER Q2 swears they heard a sound of explosions over the music, being in front nearest to the stage. They grab the microphone and scream, “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE.” CHARACTER R2 & CHARACTER S2 start to openly panic.
CHARACTER T2 (O’Shea) gets into a physical altercation with CHARACTER U2 (Vasile). They don’t stop until one or the other is knocked unconscious.
ANDREA REED & BIRDIE MENDOZA try to leave the event, but notice that they’re trapped in the auditorium. CHARACTER X2 makes it to their vehicle, but is stuck in place by the surrounding vehicles around them. Unable to escape fully, they return back to the venue.
CHARACTER Y2 hates their life at this music venue, because they’re stuck behind a rather sweaty individual. Their sweat keeps hitting them in the face, and at one point, they catch it in their mouth. It incites a ferocious bout of vomiting, and CHARACTER Z2 is trying to help, thinking they’ve been drugged, but CHARACTER Y2 can’t even explain what it is that made them sick.
TATIANA BLANTER is hit with a spare bullet, but no one is able to find where the source is. As no one around seems to have their gun out. CHARACTER B3 conceals their weapon perfectly.
NOVA DEVERAUX suffers a panic attack due to the crowd gathered, and clings onto CLARA DAVILLA who is unable to get them to the med tent.
CHARACTER E3 feels something warm splash on their face. They are unsure if it’s warm beer or urine. They’re pretty sure it’s warm beer, but remain conflicted the rest of the festival. CHARACTER F3 offers the shirt off their back for CHARACTER E3 to wipe the liquid off their face.
CHARACTER G3 is doing photography for the event, but realizes midway through the show that the performers aren’t who they say they are. They spot a face they know to be Faust affiliated in the crowd and scurry off toward the exit, only to be stopped by CHARACTER H3 (Faust) at the door.
MILES ST CLARE is the first to notice the lack of Fausts at the start of the music venue. They make their way to the police station in hopes of figuring it out, but instead they encounter burning police cars and chaos.

I’m not someone that really needs a WA love scene, if we get it great, if not I’m ok. But from a storytelling perspective, if Iris is pregnant at the end of the season won’t it be a little weird to have her pregnant & we never see WA intimate, even PG intimate?
I don’t really think it’d be weird, because we’ve seen them be intimate before and I don’t think they expect us to forget WA were having sex even before they got married. But I also think that if they decided to make Iris pregnant, they will have that in mind and therefore show us a moment of intimacy before the reveal - most likely in the episode that it’s announced. Of course, this might all come to nothing and Iris might not get pregnant in real time until the final season.
I have a question about Gina Rodriguez. Is it true that she’s “problematic”? I enjoy her show, and she’s seems to be about inclusion, but I’m hearing concerns about her from Afro-Latinx people. What are your thoughts?
Gina has put her foot in her mouth several times, and she has often excluded black latinx from her narrative. That might be ignorance or it might be active anti-blackness, I’m not going to be the judge of that. But here are some examples: the Fiercely Latina luncheon that didn’t include any afro-latinx women, immediately jumping on a latinx version of Girls Trip, that time she forgot Tessa T. and Zoe S. are latinx when asking about representation, and most recently the weird comments about making a Columbus-era superhero film that referred to the colonization, genocide, enslavement and rape of indigenous and African populations as “migration” and “mixing.”
I am sure she means well, but she’s had several opportunities to rethink her worldview and I don’t think she’s quite there yet.

Anon in Gina's defense, she was tagged in a Tweet and asked about a Latinx version of Girls' Trip. I didn't know about the last thing though. That's weird
Yeah, If it was just the tweet alone, I wouldn’t make much of it.

Not to excuse any of the other things you said about Gina but Rosario Dawson, an Afro-Latina, was at the Fiercely Latina luncheon
Thanks for the addition!
Hey, Tati. During one of my bored googling moments, I found a thread on Lip$tick @lley where the moderator was looking for dirt on Candice, like actively asking people for major gossip about her because she couldn’t find any. The only thing she could say about her was the lie that Candice only cares about riding white d!(k$. I just can’t believe that instead of supporting another female or being glad there’s no scandal about her, that she would go to such lengths to find or make up some.
That’s… ridiculous. First of all, where does this “Candice loves white men” idea even come from? We literally know of two dudes she might have dated because she’s that private, and one was white while the other was black. THAT’S IT. Anyway, I think it’s sad that some people spend time trying to find excuses to hate on an actress. I would much rather love them all, lol, and it’s disappointing when I learn something negative (see above…).

set: january 18, some time between 2 - 3am location: atlas’ birthday party availability: closed | @kodadawson
Scout didn’t drink heavily anymore. She’d long outgrown that phase of her life at university when drinking heavily during the weekdays was considered an extracurricular activity. She didn’t miss drinking being a core part of the culture at all, far happier with her good wine and expensive craft beers now that she could afford it. So maybe it was better to say that she rarely drank heavily anymore. Tonight, it appeared, was one of those rare exceptions.
There was a reason she had long since hung up her hard drinking days. It wasn’t just to escape the wicked hangover (although in her early twenties, she had been able to bounce back like it was nothing at all). It was because she had a bad habit of picking verbal fights whenever she did partake a little too heavily. There had been many a night when her friends had had to drag her away before she bit off more than she could chew. Tonight however, she had left her friends behind at Kaleidoscope and had elected to walk home in her hazy state. Sober Scout would have merely given the group of guys outside the bar giving her a wolf whistle the middle finger and been on her way. But drunk Scout...well. She spun around, the beads on her flapper dress clacking angrily. “What was that scrote?” she all about growled, her accent thick as she began to advance on them. “How’d you like it if I ripped your damn lips off your face?”

who: @kodadawson when: march 19, afternoon when: faerie wings
Anyone that worked at daycare or any kind of after-school care knew that sometimes you didn’t always leave on time. Scratch that. It was rare to leave right on time. Mateo knew that some of the other co-workers at Faerie Wings grumbled about it, but unsurprisingly he wasn’t one of them. Today he had not one but several stragglers waiting for their various guardians to come and collect them - but none of them seemed bothered by it taking after their current caretaker’s very unbothered attitude.
He’d sent a text to Koda earlier letting him know that he’d probably be held back delaying them meeting up - but he was surprised to hear a familiar set of footsteps at the door. He looked up from a puzzle he’d been helping the gaggle of kids put together with a grin. “Koda! Looking to get another job?” he asked with a welcoming grin as he got up from his spot on the floor and towards the door to greet his friend.

Think Of Us As Bookends: Jenny Lewis Interviewed
Clash Music August 8, 2019
American songwriter on her hidden hip-hop roots, creative honesty, and collaboration...
By Sarah Bradbury
“We can’t do anything about the shit out there,” Jenny Lewis says from the stage at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in West London, “but we’re all OK together in here.”
Bravely clad in figure-hugging, head-to-toe rose-gold sequins in spite of the atypical British heat still burgeoning outside the ram-packed venue, the Las Vegas-born musician oozes retro-edged glamour in her flame-red beehive and delivers a glitzy, soulful performance, every bit the music and style icon her reputation dictates.
The image she cuts on stage is in stark contrast to the laid-back woman in t-shirt and trainers I had the pleasure of speaking to just days earlier from a hotel room sofa at the K West.
Throughout our freewheeling chat that touches on Ariana Grande’s towering heels at Coachella, her love of boxing, and whether you sneeze when you eat peppermint, amongst more heavy-going topics, I feel the counteracting forces of an effusive warmth with an intimidating otherworldliness, as if speaking with a Hollywood film star of yesteryear.
Husky-toned statements end in pregnant pauses with eye contact firmly held, each anecdotal answer to a question leaving me on tenterhooks of what might come next.
The American singer-songwriter’s life in the limelight began as a child actress, appearing in Troop Beverly Hills and Brooklyn Bridge, Baywatch and The Golden Girls, Jell-O and Toys R Us ads in the late 80s/early 90s, her earnings going to support her family after her parents separated.
She made her break into music heading up much-loved LA indie band Rilo Kiley from 1998, which saw success over four albums and tracks featured on the likes of Noughties teen obsessions The O.C. and Dawson’s Creek. As well as time spent in The Postal Service, Jenny & Johnny and Nice As Fuck*, Lewis has been pursuing a solo career since 2006’s 'Rabbit Fur Coat'.
Earlier this year came the release of her fourth solo studio album, 'On The Line', to rapturous acclaim, delivering yet another installment of the particular brand of country-infused indie rock she has carved out for herself, which she has since been touring the US, Europe and many a festival stage with.
The journey to the album’s completion wasn’t an easy one - while 2014’s 'The Voyager' was preoccupied with the breakup of Rilo Kiley, facing her father’s death and suffering the tyranny of depression and insomnia, the five intervening years before the release of 'On The Line' brought their own set of challenges: the break down of her 12 year relationship with partner and musician Johnathan Rice and her mother’s death from cancer.
Yet while these life events may have left indelible marks on the singer-songwriter, the songs produced in their wake are counterintuitively dominated by spangly sing-along choruses, lucid images and strongly-drawn characters in immersive narratives. In her explanation of what inspired the album, she’s impossibly understated:
“Just life as it happens. All the things that you would imagine that happened between like 35 and 40. A lot of stuff happens in that period. So my songs either predict or mirror or shadow real life. I never know what I'm going to write about, I just kind of write about it.”
In that respect, songwriting is often a kind of therapy for the artist: “I think it's a feeling that births a song,” she explains thoughtfully. “And it's usually a feeling of agony or pain. Music is kind of therapeutic. And in that way it's something to turn to. It doesn't have to come from that place but I feel like it's always a feeling and then hopefully something catchy pops up.”
“In order for me to remember it, it has to be incredibly catchy or it'll just disappear into the ether of my unfinished songs pile. From 12 years ago, I have this one called ‘The Scorpion and the Lily’, that's just this thing that keeps unfolding. I don't think it's very good. I better stop…”
The intensely personal nature of her music means that the experience of releasing them out into the public realm can be a double-edged sword: “The life of a record is so funny because in the formative stage, it feels so potent. Working on it takes however long it takes. But this one took a minute, so to have it done and out in the world and now starting to see people know the songs, it's really satisfying. But it's also like, ‘How do you know that? That's really personal! Stop singing along with that sir, it's inappropriate!”
There’s also a process of translating the album tracks to work live: “On the road with a live band, you’re not playing any backing tracks, it's all what we're creating organically. So sometimes it doesn't work, a record piece.”
In particular, she notes collaborator Beck, the first of many on the album, is a meticulous producer: “Everything is very deliberate. So unless you hit all those marks live, sometimes a song will feel not as great. It takes playing it out in front of people 20, 30 times where it's like, mediocre. And then one night, you're like, ‘we got it.’”
But it’s a collaboration she has found exhilarating, “to experience my own songs through like another artist’s prism, rather than like a straight engineer, there's a trust. It's exciting to just feel what is going to happen. It’s the room. It's the cast of characters. It's how you feel on that day. It's the song. If the song sucks, it's not going to fly. But once I had the songs, I was very open to send them off to college or whatever.”
Growing up with parents as lounge musicians in Las Vegas, music was always going to figure largely in Lewis’ life: “They had a band together. And so music is just in the genetics, like that's just been the family thing. I grew up singing with my mom and my sister, and my dad was a virtuosic harmonica player - genius - so music was just the family business. I also had this side thing as an actor, which was also the family business. But then I just started writing from a young age.”
Her mother’s singer-songwriter records were certainly a key influence but Lewis credits a love of hip-hop for her obsession and dexterity as a lyricist: “I think it was hip-hop that really got me into words. My mom was listening to Laura Nero and Barbra Streisand. But then it was my music, like A Tribe Called Quest, that was a huge, just poetic influence. It was Big Daddy Kane, it was like Run DMC. Souls of Mischief. EPMD - all this lyrical stuff. I’d write poetry and raps. And then someone taught me how to play a couple chords on the piano and the guitar and then that was it.”
It was then later that country music came onto Lewis’ radar, completing the “mixtape” of genres that define her output: “I got into Gram Parsons and the Byrds in the early 2000s, then into Bakersfield stuff a little bit later. It’s all about storytelling. I like very evocative storytelling.”
And it is that very love of storytelling that has led Lewis to sit apart as a songwriter, bringing the acute specificities of her experiences and musical education to bear on a sound that invites her listener into a distinct world via vivid imagery and often biting witty observations in each track.
Opening with ‘Heads Gonna Roll’, the “lyrical mission statement,” featuring none other than Ringo Star plus a narcoleptic poet from Duluth, sycophants in Marrakech and nuns from Harlem, Lewis sees 'On The Line' as a story “from front to back. It begins with a breakup. But it's really a rebound. And then a death and rebirth.”
“So the beginning, it's like a play in my mind: here are the characters, now go for it. And Ringo's on the first track. It's a little braggy to put Ringo on the first track. But that is maybe the coolest thing that's ever happened to me…”
Also featured on the record are Jim Keltner - “one of the all-time rock and roll drummers” - Benmont Tench, Don Was, Jim Keltner and Jason Falkner. Delectable melodies and nods to country-pop and 70s soft rock serve to seductively sugarcoat searingly poignant evocations of much darker subject matter, arguably the most candid reflections on her past her music has ever dealt with.
As Lewis admits, ‘Little White Dove,’ is the “funkiest song about mourning and grieving.” Tackling her mother’s heroin addiction, their decades-long estrangement and final reconciliation before she died in hospital from liver cancer, she sings, “A mother and child / Emergency behind a yellow curtain / On the second floor / All the guardian angels at the door / With their long white coats and stethoscopes” before leading into the line: “I’m the heroin.”
‘Wasted Youth’ ponders her years acting as a child, “I wasted my youth on a poppy / Doo-doo doo-doo doo, just because,” nodding to the hard-earned cash part-funding her mother’s opiate addiction. Stand out track ‘Red Bull & Hennessy’, hits on her painful break from Rice, “And we had it all / It's falling apart / Never getting back again without that spark.”
‘Party Clown’ brings us Fuji apples, scorpions, beetles floating in red wine, while asking: “Can you be my puzzle piece, baby? / When I cry like Meryl Streep.”
Amid heartbreak and grief, lust and infatuation, cynical detachment and raw emotion, there’s a thread of black humour, as is pointed to in the album opener: “And maybe after all is said and done / We'll all be skulls.”
Having become increasingly adept as a solo artist, Lewis still looks back at first leaving her band as challenging: “Those were the best times ever. It's so amazing to see things for the first time, especially with a bunch of your friends around. It was so potent, and so fresh, and so new that it was like as exciting as it ever has been.”
Branching out at first filled her with trepidation, she recalls: “I was terrified. Making my first solo record, my friend asked me to make it for his label. That wasn't something that I would have done at that time. So I feel like I've been encouraged by people throughout my career. I've had these little spirit guides that have kind of like pushed me, like, ‘go do it. You can do it on your own.’”
That encouragement led her to surprise herself of just what she could achieve: “the art itself is the surprising part. When you realise you can do it. I remember hearing Rabbit Fur Coat off the tape in the studio after we had just cut. It was like live music. It sounded exactly like my dreams. It sounded like my soul. Band music is a collective soul but it’s different, it's everyone's experience. This was so personal.”
And now, she thrives on being, “the creative director of my world. I feel more comfortable doing it, you know, designing the set and directing the music videos. Like I directed the ‘Just One Of The Guys’ video” - a brilliantly fun ensemble of Kristen Stewart, Anne Hathaway and Brie Larson donning Adidas tracksuits and fake ‘taches - “which wouldn't have happened in my band, because it would have been a co-directing thing. So I feel like as far as a full artistic vision goes - good or bad, it could suck! - now I want to be in charge of the whole thing. I don't want to really, like, share.”
She reluctantly accepts a need to engage in the promotional side of the business, “though it is annoying, sometimes. But it is part of the whole thing. If I want to get my music out there, this presence is really important. So I try not to not to grumble about it. Because if you're not making like top 40 music, how are people going to find out about your music?”
At least with Instagram, she’s determined to have a laugh with it: “I've tried to curate my Instagram in a way where it is 100% authentic. It is 100% me. So whatever you see on there, if it's lame, it's my fault,” she says with a laugh.
I get a preview of the latest of her surreal Insta Story videos, “shot at the Queen's tennis centre. We opened for Death Cab For Cutie there a couple weeks ago. And that's where Wes Anderson shot part of the Royal Tennenbaums. Then we had these rabbit costumes...”
In the span of her career, the 43 year old reflects she seen the industry and environment both for artists and audiences shift. She herself had to distance herself from Ryan Adams who had worked on 'The Voyager' and the early stages of the current album, after allegations were made against him of sexual manipulative behaviour.
“I think it's evolving and I appreciate the dialogue,” Lewis says. “I was one of fewer women on the road when I started. Now there are way more women out there. But there's still those moments. Like, this camera guy at this festival I played. I wanted the cameras to be in my aesthetic. So I go back to talk to him with the set list and he just rolled his eyes from the moment I opened my mouth. I could tell he didn't want to do it. But I've learned over the years, to just not bat an eye, and just be patient, and get exactly what I fucking want. But you still feel those moments of resistance.”
While she does joke that becoming an “icon” of any kind usually implies “you’re kind of old”, she has no doubt of the importance of inspiring the next generation: “When I saw my first proper concert, on my own, without my mum, it was The Cure and PIXIES were opening. I must have been 11 or 12. And I saw Kim Deal on stage playing bass. She was maybe the first woman I'd ever seen playing an instrument. And that really resonated with me.”
That’s not to say she fully embraces role model status: “I never think of myself in a leadership context. I'm trying to just be myself. I'm not trying to be perfect. I try to be responsible with what I say. But sometimes, I talk shit,” she says with a wry smile.
Were things more wild back in the day?
“I went to a bunch of Grateful Dead shows as a kid. And like the even the parking lot was wild. You know? I mean, it was like drug culture. That was the 90s. We still have fun. Although it's like pretty rated PG-13. I mean, I've never been invited to an orgy. So I don't know. I'm trying to be less of a square…”
While she might not literally be taking things day by day - “I’m a hippie but that big of a hippie that much of a hippie” - there’s a resistance to overengineering her forward path: “I don't have goals ever. I've got like, song ideas. I've got 10 or 12 songs I'm just starting. Like the kombucha thing, you’ve got to let it ferment.”
And there’s also a sense that having pretty much experienced it all, from child-acting to band life to solo artist, playing all festivals from Glastonbury to Coachella, becoming artistic director of all her output, she can take the time to relish in this moment.
The week previous she was at Latitude: “I love Latitude. Our set was so fun. But then afterwards, we got stoned and went out into the crowd to watch Khruangbin, which was the best festival sets I've seen since like, Tame Impala at Coachella. It was absolutely dancey. We were like we found ourselves in the middle of like a steampunk 30th birthday party where everyone was dressed up and dancing around us. And we were like, this is amazing.”
Later that week, watching her delight, charm and coax her summer’s evening London crowd into being wrapped around her finger as pink and blue balloons filled the air, I saw that this is a Jenny Lewis who’s survived significant turbulence in her life, faced her demons and gone from strength to strength as an artist as a result - and now gets to enjoy the pink and blue-hued view.
Does she have any advice for young women looking to for the success she has enjoyed?
“I'd say: wear what you want. Sing what you feel. Write what you know. Stand flat-footed. Don't take no shit.”
Wise words, well said.
