"wait- what? spent last days where?! what the- don't you have a dorm room? you said an uncle too, you don't live with him?" then a pang of sympathy hits him, Peter's old man probably beats him and maybe threw him out of the house! then he was too ashamed to be back to the college dorm! yeah, that must be it! "you know what, don't need to tell me.. you can move in and stay in Seven's tower as much as you want! or, wait, I can actually give you the room right under mine! yeah those penthouses up there are empty, Maeve doesn't even uses her room anymore, you can take hers if you want to.." then suddenly his mind is filled with many things he'll be able to do if the kid stays nearby! Homelander will finally have someone to show his room to! and can chew Peter's ears about where he got his souvenirs! oh, this will be perfect! They enter through the main entrance and take the elevator up "here we are!" he shows Peter the new room that is going to his for future days if the boy agrees with staying "and a nice view too! I can help you drag your suitcases and all up here if you got any? we can go shopping for new clothing when we're at that promised tour too. don't worry about other things, I'll talk to Ashley- she uh.." waves a dismissive hand "works for me, yeah. and she'll give you the keys and all! it'll be your room as long as you want!" then, like an excited child, tugs on Peter's wrist "now, let's show you mine! you can borrow some of my clothing if you wanna? honestly some of them are just gathering dust in that closet!"

Peter was too naive for now to understand what Homelander was upto, he barely knew this man well, let alone his intentions. Fortunately, Homelander's remarks would now be enough to monetarily shift his attention on a different topic apart from talking about his past life and tragedy. Stuffing the last bit of pizza in his mouth, Peter would now look at Homelander when asked where he gonna stay.

"I have no idea, honestly... I spent the last couple nights on top of the Chrysler building. Misplaced into a different dimension with your room occupied by some other person is a very unpleasant feeling"

"A little tour of the neighborhood would be great, stoll spending time with the greatest superhero here, right? Just not in red and blue skin tight suit which sounds better"

Peter replied with his head tilted to a side now, his arms crossed over his chest. Who doesn't wanna have some time off from crime-fighting after just taking care of a rather violent hostage situation? Taking the chance, he agreed to Homelander's proposal now. He had nothing better to do anyways for the day.
