GAZE  ROAMS  TO  THE  FURTHEST  CORNERS  OF  THE  ROOM ,  empty stomach  &  emptier hands restless for better company than better food  (  not that caldwell’s lacked all that much in  QUALITY  ) ,  appetite still simmered just out of reach  (  having your pointer finger cut off just hours earlier will do that to you  )  despite the lunch hour having just begun .  however ,  earthy eyes quickly find a source of  INTRIGUE ;  an island among ocean of crisp uniforms ,  single girl sat alone ,  own eyes pinned on the food in front of her with stale interest .  some part of him recognizes the shape of her face ,  the arch in her brow  ——  most likely one of his  BROTHER’S  closer friends ,  if he recalls correctly .

without second thought ,  he approaches ,  sliding across from the other with an easy expression .  ❝  hey .  uh ...  i-it’s  ——  EL ,  right ?  ❞
