THINGS I LOVE ABOUT YOU
This chapter is 18+, if you're a minor do not read this!
┏━━━━━━༻❁༺━━━━━━┓
Summary:
You and Bruno resumed your explorations after lunch.
Warnings: body worship, anxiety, love confession, explicit content, premature ejaculation.
Chapter 2
┗━━━━━━༻❁༺━━━━━━┛
Sitting at the kitchen tablet you greeted Abuela Alma with a kiss on her right cheek, while Bruno took his seat next to you.
As always Julieta's cooking was delicious and you cleaned your plate and made sure Bruno has done the same, occasionally holding his hand under the table, a thing that did not go unnoticed by Camilo who wiggled his eyebrows whispering "ay Tìo!" earning an elbow to the ribs by Luisa, making him cough.
"Tìa Y/N?" You heard Antonio's small voice over the chatting of the rest of the familia.
For the little Madrigal, you were his tìa the moment you walked through the front door for the first time and you found that so incredibly sweet.
"Tell me, mi Sobrino." You answered leaning over the table to hear him better.
"You and tìo are going to marry and make Abuela more...Abuela?" He asked looking at one of Bruno's rats sitting on his shoulder like the small animal just dropped the gossip into his ear.
It was your time to cough a little, glancing at your man who was red once again from embarrassment, ears burning hot but spoke kindly to Antonio.
"Not yet cariño, but when we'll decide you'll be the first one to know!" And he directed a weak smile toward Dolores because, of course, she was the real first to know.
"You don't ask these things to grown-ups, Antonio" Felix scolded him good-heartedly.
"But they stare at each other like you and mamà!" Antonio answered back.
At the table fell the silence before everyone started snorting and then laughing, even Bruno.
It was so rare to hear him laugh like that, it was another thing to add to your list because his laughter was like honey.
His shoulders shook and a rosy colour tinted his cheeks, highlighting his beautiful features.
When lunch was finished you offered to help with washing the dishes but Pepa sent you away with a wink and a knowing smile.
"Maybe my Antonino was right, what do you think Y/N?" And she vanished in the kitchen with a wide rainbow on her head.
Once again in your room, you noticed Bruno fidgeting with his hands while sitting on his bed in the same spot as before, looking down, like the floor was the most interesting thing in the world, he was feeling anxious again.
"Sorry for earlier, that rat was Gabriela, I didn't give her a role she liked in one of my acts, she was probably searching for a kind of revenge! But maybe she wasn't wrong...O-or maybe yes?" He finally looked at you, scanning your face, hoping for an answer.
"For the marriage or the babies? Do you want that?" You let out a small laugh, caressing Bruno's cheeks.
"Not necessarily in this specific order." he mumbled before slapping a hand on his mouth to shut himself up, he intended to think about it instead of telling it out loud.
The sound seemed to echo through the stone walls of his room.
You giggled and then assumed a serious expression, your eyes were bored into his, making him a bit nervous but for his own sake.
"Bruno, te amo. I love you with my heart and soul..." You confessed.
"I know, you show it to me every day...a-and before. I love my familia and I always wanted one on my own but...you know who I am and what happened. Y/N, I love you too..." Bruno felt a lump forming in his throat and gently tugged at your hips, silently asking you to sit on his lap again, he liked that position a lot because feeling the heat and weight of your body on his relaxed him.
"Want me to resume our earlier activity? Or should I restart from the beginning, mi amor?" You spoke, placing soft kisses on his face while he was pondering his answer.
The answer never came, you felt him tense again, you thought he should have imagined something bad.
"Bruno?" You called.
"I just realized that no one ever talked to me like you do, touched or kissed me...no one ever loved me Y/N, so I've never...mh you know...nunca hice el amor" he muttered the last sentence.
He hid his face in his hands, tears already treating to fall from his eyes and he started mumbling the way he does when something worried him.
"Bruno, we don't have to if you don't want. It's just fine this way! I don't want to force you into anything, mi Corazon" you heard him mumbling something that seemed "I want to but I'm scared".
"Maybe we can try things? If you don't like them I'll stop, promise." At your suggestion, he removed his hands and sniffed, nodding in approval.
You carded your fingers into his hair and kissed him with love, swiping occasionally your tongue on his lower lip until he get the hint, letting you in, tasting the sweet taste of mangoes you shared before.
Noticing that he had no idea of what to do with his hands, you put them on your waist which he grabbed on like a lifeline.
You swirled your tongue into his mouth gently, exploring it deeply and earning some small pleased moans from Bruno, goosebumps forming on his skin.
He was a quick learner and he tried to match your movement at his best before the oxygen in your lungs finished forcing you both to come up for air, panting from just an inch apart.
"I like these kisses" he stated breathless, looking down at your mouth and leaning in asking for more, you joined once again your lips together, making him curl his toes inside his sandals.
He secretly took some glances at you, slightly opening his eyes once in a while for making sure you were not a vision of his, that you were there with him for real.
As you expected Bruno preferred to give in all the control you wanted, making you incline his head as you pleased and change angles.
"Can I remove your ruana?" You cooed placing hot kisses from an angle of his mouth to his jaw and neck, nipping at the skin there and feeling his quickening pulse against your moist lips.
He nodded and raised his arms while you gently remove the clothing and as soon as it was gone you latched on his neck again, his natural scent that reminded you of wood and chocolate, filled your nose.
The weak whimpers he tried to suppress were lovely music to your ears.
It took you by surprise seeing Bruno unbuttoning his brown shirt, fingers trembling and chest heaving, he tried to discard the piece of clothing like it was burning his skin like acid.
You make him pause.
"S-sorry I-I was kind of...I'm just hot" he stammered.
It needed every fibre of your entire being to not say "Yeah, you are." because seeing him with mussed hair, half-lidded eyes, swollen lips and red cheeks was making you light-headed.
You removed his shirt for him and you did the same, tossing your blouse over your shoulder.
"Could you lay down?" You said instead.
He silently slipped under your form, laying down fully on the bed, hands on both sides of his head which was framed by his curls.
He was breathtaking.
Taking place once more on him, you caressed his chest travelling on his ribs to end on his abdomen, feeling every muscle shift under the skin.
Your hips hazardously rolled down on his and with a swift barely catchable motion Bruno was sitting up, hands tightly held your wrists.
"PLEASE, STOP!" He breathed desperately, green glowing eyes wide, he closed them shut the very moment later, tremors ran through his body although he hid his face in the crook of your neck, gasping.
"Did he just-...?" you thought.
Peering down you saw a dark patch spreading on his groin and your brain kind of short-circuited.
Bruno was feeling miserable, burning with shame, he didn't even have the strength to apologize, fearing he'd disgusted you.
"Bruno?" You called after seconds of silence, he was motionless and still hiding his face.
"I'm sorry! Please don't hate me, I'm sorry, I couldn't take it...don't leave, please" he repeated pressing on your neck more and lacing his arms around you, holding you tight.
"Oh, Bruno, I'm not going anywhere." You reassured him, caressing his head, making him look at you.
"Don't worry about anything, okay? I'm not disappointed or disgusted. Do you want to stop?"You said low, Bruno was glaring at you with adoration.
He inhaled deeply before answering with determination.
"I want to be good for you, so no, I don't want to stop" making you stand up briefly to toss away his ruined pants but keeping his soaked underwear on even if his cooling down release was starting to feel uncomfortable.
You pulled down your skirt making it pool around your feet and stepped out of it, Bruno was watching with his mouth open recognizing that he had never seen you without clothes before, his fingers felt itchy due to the desire of touching every inch of skin you uncovered.
Slipped out of your undergarments you returned to Bruno who was about to do the same but was stopped by your question.
"Can I?"
"Uh, just don't expect much, I'm not very b-" you didn't let him finish and grasped the hem of his underwear and pulled them away.
"I thought only your older nephew was into jokes, Bruno. How do you want me?" You murmured into his ear making him thrust involuntary his hips upward, dying for the need of any kind of friction.
"On your back, if you want to."
He was on your body in an instant, returning all the kisses you gave him, he explored your body deeply and you guided his shaking hands to touch your breasts.
It was a foreign sensation to him but he soon began massaging it and kissing your sternum.
You encouraged him to move his pelvis against yours, lacing your legs behind him and starting to move sinuously.
Bruno moaned loudly and searched your eyes for permission he reached down, taking himself in hand and slowly pressing inside you.
It was your turn to moan because Bruno felt heavenly good and you let him know it, showering him with praises that boosted his confidence until he bottomed out to the last inch, stilling for letting you adjust.
"So good Bruno, so perfect my love. You can move now" you sighed.
The sensation took Bruno off-guard as he almost collapsed on you, the pleasure was overwhelming and the deliciously warm tightness of your body made him nearly delirious.
He moved slowly and deep, sometimes barely pulling out for just grinding inside you, your laboured breaths and moans were the only sounds filling the room.
"Dios mio, si- ah! Y/N!" Bruno whined between thrusts, he began to be incoherent, just sobs and low groans mixed with your name like it was to only word he knew as you whispered how good he was and made you feel against his parted lips.
His movements lost their pace as he approached his climax, looking into your eyes with desperation and love while his own green eyes started to glow brightly.
"Y/N! Y/N! Oh, Y/N!!" He screamed, thrusting one more time and stilling buried inside you, making your insides quiver and clamping on him as you reached your peak calling his name.
You were both out of air, lungs burning until the afterglow washed over you both, Bruno collapsed over your body and you played with the damped curls on his neck.
Once he recovered, he rolled to the side taking you with him, caressing your shoulder and face.
"I love you" he confessed once more "you don't know how happy I am to have you in my life...Y/N, would you marry me?"
It was your turn to stare at him incredulously but before he might have thought of a negative answer you shook your head in agreement with tears filling your eyes.
"Yes, yes, of course, yes!" You laughed as he cried for happiness.
After more kisses and sweet words, you both fall asleep in each other arms, legs still intertwined and a serene expression on your faces.

The Innocence of Intimacy - 1
[Synopsis: A series of one shots following the relationship of Julieta and Agustin Madrigal from the fledgling days of their relationship into the beyond.]
Read on AO3 or under the cut! ♥️
Julieta brought a hand to her stomach as she laid down next to Gus on the little rug in the treehouse, full from the picnic they shared, and sighed under her breath as she got comfortable and looked up at the stars. She had had the most wonderful evening thus far and that was all thanks to him making it so special. When she met him at the treehouse like he asked, she rolled her eyes when he showed up with beestings all over him. She could remember muttering something about him needing to be a lot more careful, but then he pulled out the most beautiful roses and she forgot why she was annoyed with him.
It was a year to the day they met – well, to the day he fell on his face and got healed by her for the first time – he told her when she inquired as to what the occasion was. Him being so sentimental made her laugh initially, but then she thought about how he remembered that when it had truly slipped her mind and it made her heart melt. She should have expected something like that from him in all fairness. He was so sweet, probably the sweetest man she knew, and him wanting to celebrate this moment made a lot of sense. She had loved having him a part of her life since he came to Encanto rather early last year.
He was the clumsiest hombre she had ever known and, admittedly, she had probably healed him more than anyone, but her seeing him so often helped them bond and he quickly became her best friend. He made life so fun and her long, hot days in the middle of town so much easier to get through. He was a very important part of her life and she couldn’t imagine it without him in it any longer. She didn’t want to either. A world without him was a world she did not want to live in and she didn’t mind admitting it. Her mamá didn’t care much for him, she had made that clear, but she felt that way about most people.
She no longer cared as much about what her mamá thought though.
She refused to let her dictate who she could and could not spend her time with any longer.
Turning her head in his direction to see him staring up at the stars above them, she smiled before she turned her attention back to them and connected them with her eyes to see the constellations. “I guess Pepa must be in a good mood for once,” She teased, lifting her hand from her stomach in order to tuck her arm beneath her head. “I love coming out here to look up at the estrellas, but her clouds get in the way most of the time and it makes it hard to see. They look beautiful tonight though, don’t you think?”
“Sí…”
She sensed he was feeling unsure of himself when he took a minute to respond and his voice trembled when he did, but when she turned her head again and felt him brush his fingertips against her own her breath caught in her throat. She lay still for a second, unsure if it was intentional or nothing but a slip of his hand, but there was no doubt in her mind when he caught her eye and did it once more. Her not moving her hand away helped him grow in confidence. He started to play with her fingers and she only moved closer to him, her fingers brushing against his own in response as she shared a smile with him. She could tell there was still a little uncertainty there. He still feared she was going to pull back at any moment and break the spell, but doing anything of the sort was truly the farthest thing from her mind.
She had wanted this for longer than she could remember.
He had been dropping hints for months now, he must have fallen for her – quite literally – as quickly as she did, making excuses to linger near her in town and standing close enough to her to brush her arm with his when they chatted. She wanted to be certain that that was what it was before she did anything about it though. She had been wrong in the past and it was so humiliating, an experience she had zero desire to repeat, but he was proving she was right to believe he wanted more than friendship from her. He wanted the same thing she did. He wanted her and knowing that filled her with so much happiness.
Once they had gone on like that for a little while, exchanging deft little touches, she brought her hand back slightly and the look of disappointment that flashed across his face did not go unnoticed by her. Rather than let him think the worst though, she pressed her palm flat against his and laced her fingers with his own before squeezing his hand when he swept his thumb across her knuckles. “I thought you had no idea.” He told her, his cheeks turning crimson as she chuckled gently and cuddled close to him.
“You are many, many things, amor, but subtle is not one of them.” She teased. “I always had a feeling.”
“You could have told me and put me out of my misery.” He replied with a slight pout.
She nodded. “I would have, but there are two reasons why I decided not to. One reason was because I had a hard time being sure if they really were hints or if I was making something out of nothing. When I realized that I was right, it became more about me knowing how important it was to you that you got to make the first move. I could easily have been the one to take your hand then. You have no idea how many times I have wanted to do that when we were together, but I would have been rushing you into it and it wouldn’t have been right. Leaving it to you meant it took a lot longer, but now you’re ready too.”
He brought his free hand up and moved her curls out of her face, tucking them gently behind her ear, and when he laid his hand on her cheek he stroked his thumb against her skin and sighed. “I want you so much,” His voice was soft as he studied her features. “But I already know your mamá won’t allow it.”
“Mi mamá has no reason to know,” She brought a hand to the side of his neck and moved closer to him until they were chest to chest, leaning her forehead against his and smiling at the feeling of his breath against her face as his hand fell to her waist. “I love her so much, I do, but she believes she can control more than she can. She thinks she can control me and who I fall in love with – I know she has been out trying to track down an hombre for me – but I refuse to let her. If we have to keep this a secret for the time being so we can be together, then fine. You make me so happy and I am not letting her ruin that.”
His hold on her waist tightened as he leaned back a little to look at her. “So…what now then?”
“We carry on like normal for a while,” She shrugged. “Mamá will catch on quickly if we spend too much time together in town. I think she already has her suspicions and that would only convince her further. We have this though,” She pats the wooden panels of the treehouse beneath them. “She knows nothing about this place. The only people that do are us and my hermanos. Félix too, probably, because I know Pepa sneaks him up here no matter what she says. None of them would run and tell mamá about us if they found out though. Not even Bruno. He might – no, he will – complain, but he won’t do that to me.”
“As long as I get to hold you, I’m contenta no matter what.” He admitted.
He released her hand then and opened his arms to her and she smiled, shuffling into them without so much as a second thought and lying her head on his chest as he wrapped them tight around her. She could feel him running a hand up and down her back as they laid there together in comfortable silence for a time, her own hand curled into his shirt, and her eyes fell shut when he buried a kiss in her curls.
She already knew it was going to be hard to keep their relationship a secret from her mother.
They would be discreet and, like she said, her brother and sister would keep their secret if they asked, but this was her mamá she was talking about. It was as though she had a sixth sense or something. In her childhood, she managed to know she and her hermanos were going to get themselves into trouble long before they even had the idea to do so. It was rare that things got by her, so there was the slight fear she would work it out before she was ready for her to, but she would stand her ground regardless.
She was almost an adult now, a fully grown woman, and she was allowed to make her own choices.
She was allowed to be with the man she loved if she wanted to be and that was exactly what she’d do.
No matter what her mamá said.

He felt caught, transparent and it made his skin crawl beneath the brown-eyed gaze of a woman, who had once been a familiar sight in his social proximity. Restless eyes were mastering the art of avoidance for only long enough until her words tried to soothe his quite obvious concerns. And as Alaric glanced upward, gazed back towards Julieta, he was, much to his surprise, met with something he believed to be genuine understanding and yet, it was never enough to let the question roll off his tongue. Never enough to ease the tension enough for him to speak his mind. "How long ... I mean ... You're not in touch with her anymore?" He asked quietly, uncertainty flashing through the cracks in his façade. @julietaxalvarez
Alaric's response was not at all one that Julieta bought. "It's okay," she gave him a small smile, one that she hoped she was reassuring him that it was in fact okay, "I would have asked if I were in your shoes." She admitted to the man, knowing she would have come right out and said it considering her rather blunt personality at times. Though, running into Alaric had softened her in the moment, past histories flashing through her mind. @alaricfarrow

with tomas hernandez @ firefly brewery, wednesday evening.
julieta has been back in briar ridge for a year and a half now, and she still finds it astonishing that, on one hand, nothing much seems to have changed since she left, but on the other hand, everything has shifted in subtle yet significant ways. the familiar sights around her evoke memories from her past, yet the details are slightly different, almost imperceptibly altered. if you looked closely enough, you would notice that the once vibrant paint on the walls of the bar has begun to thin and chip away, revealing the tired wood beneath. the bar’s floors creak a little louder than she remembers, each step echoing as if to remind her of the years that have passed.
sitting at the aged bar, she suddenly voices a thought that has been nagging at her ever since she walked through the door, her tone laced with a mix of bewilderment and amusement. ❛ has this bar gone to shit ? ❜ she asks, the words tumbling out more as an observation than an actual question. her dark eyes briefly flicker sideways, glancing over her shoulder at the crowd before returning to tomas, who is perched beside her, nursing a drink. with a quizzical raise of her brow, she continues, ❛ why are there so many people under the age of twenty - five ? what is happening ? ❜ the question hangs in the air, revealing her confusion as she surveys the younger patrons laughing and chatting energetically, sprawled across the worn - out furniture that has hosted countless conversations over the years. it’s almost as if the very essence of the bar has transformed, filled now with a youthful energy that seems both foreign and familiar. julieta hated it. ❛ — should've just gone to rusty spur. ❜

THINGS I LOVE ABOUT YOU
┏━━━━━━༻❁༺━━━━━━┓
Summary:
Bruno found himself panicking and crying due to some mean comment on his persona, you showed him how wrong they were.
Notes:
I hope you'll like this one.
I watched Encanto and immediately fell in love with the sweet Bruno, I had this fic around in my head for days!
I was thinking about writing a second chapter/sequel (maybe very slightly NSFW, I don't know) but only if you liked the first part and ask for more.
Enjoy!
┗━━━━━━༻❁༺━━━━━━┛
Chapter 1
It was a bright day, ten months after la Casita was rebuilt, the chatting of the people in the village could be heard from inside the house, no needs to be Dolores.
It was always like that on the market day, men and women buying food and clothes, children playing in the plaza.
Bruno was still not used to walking among people, first thing because some of them give him strange looks and last because living for 10 years in the walls of his own house, made him a bit rusty.
Noticing that he wanted to help the familia somehow, you sent him to buy some vegetables and fruits for lunch, Julieta handed him a list and a basket and you walked him through the main door of la Casita and when you noticed his hesitation you placed both of your hands on his face, stroking lovingly at his cheeks with your thumbs.
"You can do it, mi Vida" you whispered.
Moving through the marked he replayed that moment in his mind continuously, trying to remain calm when he noticed that some folks changed their path to walk far from him.
He took several deep breaths but he lost it when he hears a group of women gossiping at his back.
"What Y/N found in that man it's such a mystery to me."
"Look at his clothes! And let's talk about his hair, how many years without a proper cut?"
"Y/N can get a better man, isn't he too old for her?"
He started hyperventilating but tried to focus on his list to distract himself, he needed to buy those things, he needed to prove to you he was able to!
He glanced at the selling stalls but his vision started to blur, he was gasping and he was not even aware of it.
The villagers around stop to look at Bruno, someone with a concerning look and others eyeing him from head to toe with apathy, a young boy asked if he needed help but the man flew away, sprinting through the market and heading home as fast as he could.
Bruno was agile and could be a master in stealth if he wanted to, he whispered at Casita to alert no one that he returned, only a floor tile moved in approval and he slipped into your room.
You moved in just a month ago and Bruno was hesitant to let you see his room, knowing that behind his door was not as cosy and comfortable as his sisters' room or cute and tidy as Mirabel's.
His face dropped when he realized that Casita redesigned his room as soon as you entered, the interminable stairs were gone, the same for all that sand everywhere and the creepy stone statues.
The room was way smaller, with a cavern on the left as a bedroom, with a soft king-size bed and a fireplace, there were even some alcoves with candles and small bowls. On the right, a larger space with a doomed roof similar to one of his older rooms, the sands for Bruno to use for his visions was neatly stored in glass jars on wooden shelves and a green crystal-like chandelier hanging from the centre of the doom.
He was so happy that day, unlike that moment, when crying at the lowest volume possible, Bruno laid himself on the bed, curling like a cat.
In the kitchen with Julieta, you wondered how Bruno was doing in the village, while your friend and "almost sister in law" like she liked to call herself around you, was humming and cooking.
You felt that something was off, glancing at Dolores who was making a face your suspects took form.
"Dolores, sweetie, is Bruno home?" You asked her.
The young woman tilted her head on the left and looking in the opposite direction she made a sad expression.
"He is, Y/N...he's in your room, I can hear sobs and the sounds of his tears falling." She whispered.
In a matter of seconds, you were already on the first floor, knocking on Bruno's door and entering without waiting for a reply.
You noticed immediately the empty basket was tossed randomly in the middle of the room, only the crumpled list inside it.
A sound of rustling fabric made you look towards your shared bed and you approach it, Bruno was there sniffing a wiping his eyes.
"Bruno, what happened?" You asked softly, placing a hand on his shoulder.
He went rigid immediately and peaked at you with a half-closed eye, his face mostly covered by his long curly hair.
"I'm so sorry Y/N, so sorry," he said before starting to sob again.
It shattered your heart to see him that way, your lovely and kind man was a trembling mess.
You took both his hands in yours and pulled him up in a sitting position, his legs hanging from the side of your bed, facing you.
"Tell me what's wrong, mi Amor" trying to make him look at you, you placed your fingers under his chin but he cast his eyes down on the floor.
He took a deep breath and cleared his voice
"I lost control, those women at the t-the market, they were right about me, about us...you should-"
You narrowed your eyebrows trying to understand and he continued
"They said that I'm...not the right man for you, I'm older and way too uglier than every man you can have, you d-deserve so much better..." He starter to sob again "Why do you stay with me?"
"Oh Bruno, my beloved and wonderful Bruno. I stay with you because I love you for who you are, you're kind and funny, sweet and loving, you care for your family and protect them at all costs...and your appearance is surely a bonus."
He snapped his eyes on you, incredulous.
"My...appearance?"
"Of course, quieres saber por qué?" You cooed and he nodded uncertainty looking at you with wide eyes when you crouched down at his feet.
"Let's start then...from the bottom,mh?" You kept your voice low and calm, trying to make him relax.
"What about your legs? Your lean and agile legs, I saw you running around and climbing when you and your familia rebuilt Casita" touching and massaging his calves, you rise to his tighs, feeling the muscles beginning to loosen up.
"Your hips, you know I love them...the way you swing them while dancing or even just walking" at that point you were straddling his thigs, Bruno shifted a bit to accommodate you.
When you placed your hands on his belly you felt him tense, that was like hitting a nerve, he know he's underweight and still struggling to recover, after 10 years of only eating leftovers he could find around.
So you moved up to his arms and chest when a strong and fast-beating loving heart was pounding.
"I like your arms because you give the warmest hugs...and your chest, it's not board but has the most precious gem inside it, your heart. I can feel it beating fast...oh! Even faster now." You whispered in his ear and Bruno hid his face in your neck out of embarrassment, but the right kind.
"I like your hair, every soft curl and greying strand, it frames your sweet face and I adore burying my fingers in it" and you did just so.
Making him face you again and staring lovingly at his big brown eyes you saw the same thing reflected.
Bruno was a trembling mess for all other reasons at that point, he felt like putty in your hands.
"Y/N" he whispered, his voice shaking, but you shush him with a finger on his lips.
"I haven't finished yet, mi Hermoso amor...I was going to talk about your mouth, with which you sing the sweetest songs to me and say your impeccable visions, the mouth I can't get enough of while kissing you"
You removed your finger from his lips while being only a millimetre apart, letting Bruno decide if he wanted to close the gap, which he did.
The kiss was sugar sweet and irradiated pure love and adoration, he hooked his arms around your waist to pull you closer, his hands roaming on your back and slipping under your blouse.
You both came up for air hearing Mirabel's cheerful voice from downstairs, calling everyone for lunch.
"Do you...r-really think those things about me, Y/N?" Bruno asked with his big puppy eyes shining on you.
"Oh, I have a lot more to tell you, but that would implicate skipping lunch and we don't want that for sure" you replied with a wide grin.
Bruno reddened from head to toes and shook his head, curls shifting with the rapid movements.
You raise from his lap and offer a hand to him to stand up.
"How about...you tell me the rest later? He suggested.
"I think I could, mi Vida" you confirmed, opening the door and heading together in the kitchen with the rest of your familia.

Dance with me (Bruno Madrigal x Reader)
Masterlist
Ship: Bruno Madrigal x Reader (She/Her)
Tags: Fluff, shy flustered Bruno, supportive Mirabel, Camilo being Camilo
Warnings: No warnings!:)
Synopsis: The Madrigals throw a party and Mirabel finds out that her Tío might like a certain someone there
Music playing, people chatting, dancing and enjoying the food. Another wonderful party by the Madrigals. It was always a great time to catch up with friends and have a break from work.
Mirabel loved these parties. She could see how close everyone in Encanto was with each other. Well, apart from her Tío Bruno. He always came to the parties, his sister Pepa practically drags him out of his tower, but he’s was always reluctant to talk. Usually sticking to his family and staying away from the spotlight.
She couldn’t blame him. He still wasn’t used to being around so many people and although the townspeople were friendly to him, some were still wary.
Mirabel watched her Uncle sit with her parents in the corner, making conversation. She smiled. At least he looked happy.
‘Hey prima. What’s the hot gossip today?’ Mirabel asked, turning to Dolores who was in front of her at the food tables. The older cousin didn’t look up. Instead she smiled and continued to fill her plate. Mirabel grinned. She knew it was something good.
‘Oh not much. Just…’ She looked over at Mirabel. ‘Have you noticed what’s up with our Tío Bruno?’ Mirabel frowned.
‘No, why?’
‘Hmm. Guess he’s hiding it better than I thought.’
‘What? What is it?’ Dolores looked around then leaned closer to Mirabel.
‘Bruno keeps staring at señorita Y/N.’ Mirabel looked back over to her uncle. He was listening to her Dad talk but every couple seconds, his eyes would dart over to the other side of the room. She hadn’t noticed that before.
Y/N was dancing with Isabela and Luisa. She spun herself as Isabela made flowers fall around her. Bruno smiled a little more at that. Mirabel’s eyes widened and whipped her head back around.
‘Oh my gosh.’
‘Uh huh.’ Dolores nodded. ‘I’ve been hearing his longing sighs since she arrived here. He’s almost gotten up to talk to her a couple times. Saying okay okay you can do this you can do this under his breath. But no luck so far.’ She shrugged.
‘We gotta help him!’
‘You come up with a plan, I’ll follow.’ Dolores smiled.
‘Okay I need you to get Y/N away from the dance floor. I’ll get Bruno.’
‘Hey can you two hurry up?’ Camilo said. ‘Some of us wanna eat.’
‘Camilo! I need your help. Come with me.’ Mirabel dragged him away from the table.
‘What? But I’m hungryyyyy.’ He whined.
‘You can eat later! This is about Bruno’s crush on señorita Y/N!’
‘His what now?’
‘Where’s Antonio? I have a plan.’
‘These arepas are amazing hermana.’ Bruno complimented. Julieta smiled.
‘Thank you Bruno. I can teach you how to make them if you want. They won’t heal you but they’ll taste just the same.’
‘I’d like that very much.’ Bruno went to take another arepa when a toucan flew down and stole it from him. ‘H-Huh? Hey! Where do you think you’re going?’
Bruno got up and followed the bird away from the party. It flew up the stairs to his tower, right into his room. Bruno followed it in to find Mirabel, Camilo and Antonio standing there waiting for him. The toucan landed on Antonio’s arm.
‘Thanks primo. You can go back to the party now.’ Mirabel said. The youngest cousin ran off back downstairs. Bruno was confused.
‘What are you guys doing here?’
‘I’ve seen you staring at Señorita Y/N.’ Bruno’s eyes widened. He saw the grins on his niece and nephew’s faces began to step back.
‘W-What? Mirabel I don’t know what you think you’ve seen but-‘
‘She’s single by the way.’
‘She is??’
‘Ah HA!’ Bruno sighed in defeat. ‘I knew it! I knew it!’
‘Yeah okay whatever I don’t know what you’re so excited about anyway. It’s not like anything’s going to happen.’ Mirabel smiled. Bruno stopped. ‘No. No you’re not going to say anything to her! A-As your uncle I am forbidding you from-‘
‘Oh I’m not going to say anything to her, but you will.’
‘B-But-‘
‘You will, or…’ Mirabel looked to Camilo. The shapeshifter transformed into Bruno. ‘you will.’
‘Why are you doing this?’
‘Because you like her! And I want to see my uncle happy! Now go!’ Mirabel shooed him out. Bruno sighed. There wasn’t any way of getting around this.
He returned to the party to find Y/N no longer on the dance floor. She was standing on the side talking to his other nieces. Dolores spotted him and smiled. Oh right. She definitely knows.
Bruno breathed in then out and walked towards them.
‘Oh Tío Bruno! Enjoying the party?’ Isabela asked with a smile. From her tone Bruno could tell she knew too. Dolores had probably told them both. This was so embarrassing.
‘Ah y-yeah it’s great Isa. How are you all?’
‘We’re good.’ Luisa answered. ‘We were just catching up with señorita Y/N.’
‘Good evening Bruno.’ Y/N greeted with a warm smile. He could’ve melted then and there.
‘H-Hi Y/N. Are you enjoying yourself?’ The nieces walked away, leaving the two alone to talk.
‘Oh yes! Your family always throws the best parties. How are you?’
‘Oh y’know the usual.’ Y/N chuckled. There was a brief moment of silence between the two. Bruno’s nerves were building. He looked over to see his nieces and nephews watching from the food table. Mirabel threw him a thumbs up.
‘Bruno, do you want to dance?’ Y/N held out her hand to him.
‘H-huh? Dance? With you? I-I don’t know Y/N I’m not that coordinated…’
‘Oh come on it’ll be fun! Let’s just hope we don’t fall!’
‘Knock knock knock knock knock. Knock on wood.’
‘Knock knock knock knock knock. Knock on wood.’
‘Ha jinx!’ Y/N laughed. Bruno couldn’t speak. He could barely stand up. He just let Y/N lead him to the middle of the dance floor.
‘Y/N. I don’t know how to dance.’ Bruno looked down at his feet, fidgeting. Everyone moving around him was so loud and vibrant. And there he was, standing in the middle like an idiot. Y/N grabbed his hands. He looked back up to see her beaming at him.
‘Neither do I!’
‘B-But I saw you dancing with Isa and Luisa-‘
‘Oh so you were watching me were you?’ Y/N teased, pulling him closer.
‘Oh uh no well I-‘ She laughed.
‘I’m just messing with you. You don’t need to know how to dance. Just have fun!’ She said, letting go of his hands and spinning around.
‘What are they saying to each other?’ Mirabel asked Dolores.
‘Well our Bruno is being his normal awkward self, but luckily señorita Y/N finds it endearing.’ Mirabel squealed.
‘Yes! I knew they would work well together!’ Mirabel and Bruno made eye contact for a second. Mirabel gave him another encouraging smile.
Bruno held out his hand. Y/N took it. She grabbed his other hand and placed it on her waist before placing hers on his shoulder.
Bruno looked down at their feet and copied Y/N’s steps. Soon enough the two were in rhythm with the music. Y/N giggled and lifted Bruno’s chin. He smiled.
Turns out he could dance after all.
As the party drew to a close and the town began to make their ways back to their own houses, the Madrigals cleaned up. Mirabel collected all of the empty plates and put them in one stack.
‘Psssst Mirabel.’ Luisa whispered. Mirabel looked to her left. ‘Look at Y/N and Bruno.’
It had been hours but the pair were still in the centre of the courtyard swaying back and forth. There was no music, no ambient lights. Just gentle movements and the sound of casual conversation. ‘I don’t have the heart to break them up, but we gotta go to bed at some point.’
‘I’ll do it.’ Mirabel said softly. ‘Hey sorry to break you two up but Antonio’s struggling to stay awake and we all gotta be up early tomorrow.’
‘Oh gosh I’m so sorry! I didn’t realise the time.’ Y/N said. ‘I was having too much fun.’ She smiled at Bruno.
‘Yeah. Me too.’
‘Well I better get home then. Thank you for hosting. I’ve had a wonderful time as always.’
‘But a bit better than usual right señorita Y/N?’ Camilo commented as he passed. Mirabel hit his arm and gave him a glare.
Y/N waved everyone goodbye and stopped at Bruno.
‘Thank you for dancing with me.’ Mirabel gave her Tío a nudge.
‘Ah! The pleasure was all mine.’
‘I’ll see you all soon.’ Y/N turned and began to walk away. Mirabel nudged him again.
‘What?’
‘Go! Say something else!’
‘U-Uh Y/N can I walk you home?’
‘Oh that’s alright. My house is only down the hill.’
‘Ah okay see you soon.’ Mirabel nudged him for a third time. ‘Okay okay I’m going!’
Bruno walked forward and grabbed Y/N’s hand. She turned around, slightly confused.
‘Bruno?’
‘I ah ummm…’ He looked to Mirabel who nodded. ‘Y/N. I had a very nice evening dancing with you. A-And if you are interested in spending time with me again then maybe we could… uh ah meet up and do something…’
Bruno’s words got quieter and quieter as he continued. He stared at the floor trying to find the words. He was shaking, his hands were sweaty. Then Y/N giggled. That’s when his heart really sank. He let go of Y/N’s hand. Why did he think for a second that someone as lovely as her would be interested in him?
‘Uh. Nevermind. It’s okay. I’ll just-‘
‘Oh Bruno.’ Y/N lifted his head up to look at her. ‘You really are charming.’
‘I-I’m what?’
‘There’s the market tomorrow. We could go there together?’
‘The market? Yes. Yes! Yes I-I would like that very much.’ Bruno finally stood up straight again. Y/N put a hand on his shoulder and pressed her lips on his cheek.
‘Okay. I’ll see you tomorrow then. Goodnight Bruno.’ And with that, she left. Leaving Bruno to watch her walk away. Mouth slightly open, unable to speak.
‘Great job Tío.’
‘Thanks Mirabel.’
‘Damn Bruno’s got game.’
‘Camilo shut up! You’re ruining the moment!’

Teen!Bruno Madrigal x Foreign Fem!Reader 「Chapter 1」
This is probably gonna be a short fic instead of a one-shot, I wanted to start it on their teenage years, but will probably make the rest of the story pass by after the birth of Luisa, Isabela and Dolores!
Read it on AO3
Next!
°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°
Bruno Madrigal. You've heard this name so many times since you and your family moved to Encanto, it wass as if the guy was the only talk on the village. Be it via hushed whispers, disapproving gossip or even revolted screams, everyone always had something to say about him.
Being knew in the village meant you hadn't met the Madrigals yet, curious about their powers and what they would look like! The only one you've seen so far was Señora Alma, the lady being kind enough to introduce you to a few of your neighbours.
Now, a week has passed and you still haven't had the time to meet many people, more focused in helping your parents get habituated.
"That Madrigal boy is a magnet of bad luck! You and your family better stay away from him!" your neighbour commented one day, as you were helping your mom hang some clothes to dry outside. "Came to my son one day telling him he was gonna be in pain, and wouldn't you know? The very next day he broke his arm!"
Your mom hummed along, not really paying much attention to the older woman. She seemed to have taken a liking to you, already joking about how you and her son were the same age, nudging you into talking to him as much as you could.
"But why would it be his fault?" you asked, confused. "Did he break his arm or something?"
"He wouldn't dare, he's skinny as a stick, that one! It was his bad luck! If he had kept quiet it wouldn't have happened!" she seemed enraged about it. "Alma needs to do something about that boy, or else he'll keep spreading his curses around!"
The conversation didn't seem to be going anywhere, so you decided to tune it out, the older woman ranting about the boy to your mom, while you hummed to yourself. Finishing your task quickly, you blew your mom a kiss, waving to your neighbour and deciding to finally check out the village properly.
Crossing the bridge that connected one half of the village to the other, you heard the soft clicks of tiles tapping against each other, following the sound for a bit, stopping in front of Casa Madrigal, smiling softly at the sweet aroma of passion fruit in the air.
"Hii! You're new here, right? Mamá told us about you!" a red haired girl happily skipped next to you, colours lightly shifting around her as she spoke. "I'm Pepa Madrigal! But you can call me just Pepa!"
"Hi, Pepa!" you waved at her, introducing yourself. "It's nice to finally meet one of the famous Madrigals! Your family is pretty popular, huh?"
She laughed, linking yor arm with hers as she talked about her gift and how it usually got people's attention, walking towards the house and guiding you to the kitchen, where a brunette girl sat, munching on a piece of cake.
"Julieta! Look who I found right in front of our house! It's the new girl!" gesturing for you to sit down, Pepa took her place next to her sister, still happily chatting as she served you a piece of cake. "I was telling her about our gifts!"
"Ai ai, Pepita! Mamá told you not to go running your mouth already..." the girl said, jokingly, turning to you. "She's not overwhelming you, is she? She does that sometimes."
"No, no! I have no problem listening to you guys, really!" you waved your hands in front of your body, gesturing for Pepa to continue her story as you finished your piece of cake.
After a while, you noticed the sun starting to settle down, getting up and quickly thanking the girls for the chat, telling them you had to be home soon. They waved you goodbye, inviting you to come over any time, happy to have made a new friend.
°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°•☆•°
As the days passed, you got closer to Pepa, accompanying her on her errands, talking about yout life before going to Encanto and laughing at her stories about her family, they were always very nice to you, but you still hadn't met the infamous Bruno, being told that he was either in his room or already left the house every time you came over.
On the other hand, it seemed like the villagers had even more to say about him than before, and it was starting to get in your nerves. Pepa and Julieta told you very few things about Bruno, but they were all positive, and you didn't get the hatred the people of Encanto had towards him.
You knew it made his sisters sad, hearing them complain about how it wasn't Bruno's fault what he saw on his visions, and they were your only friends there, so it was starting to get you down too. After passively listening to another of your neighbour's rants once more, you decided to go for a walk so you could cool off.
Her son didn't get the hint, apparently, rushing to your side as you walked towards the village's market, waving the cast on his arm, his mom too prideful and irritated to let Julieta take care of it.
"You've been awfully close to the Madrigal's lately, huh?" he started. "Did you get the weirdo to see your future already?"
"I'm sorry, who?" you cocked an eyebrow, turnining to look at him with an irritated look.
"You know, Bruno!" he reminded you, indignantly. "The one who broke my arm!"
"You broke your own arm out of sheer stupidity, Nicolas, Bruno was just trying to warn you." turning to one of the food stands, you looked at what they had for sale, still annoyed at the guy next to you, gesturing to his cast with your head. "And then you keep the pityful look, even after Julieta offered multiple times to help you out with that."
Nicolas let out an indignant huff, opening his mouth to complain once more, before looking behind you with a slightly frightened expression, and quietly gesturing for you to leave. You cocked your head, turning around to see a boy around your age, his skinny frame towering over you, a large green poncho almost engulfing him. He looked like he wanted to tell you something, but before he could even start, you were already warning him.
"Sí?" you locked your eyes on his, still annoyed. "I swear, if you heard me and are gonna try and tell me another puta historia about Bruno, I will not hold myself from doing something I might regret later."
"Well, I'll try not to be too egocentric." the guy in front of you gave you a short smile, before extending his hand for you to shake. "Bruno Madrigal, nice to meet you."
'Puta mierda'

They realize being in love with you (Headcanon)
Classification: Fluff
Pairing: Dolores, Isabela, Luisa, Julieta and Pepa
Warnings: None, apart from reference to injuries
Word count: +1300
Dolores
- She always listened to you, small noises and few words, you were the quietest person in the village, even quieter than Bruno living in the walls, and the only one she wants and expects to hear, who helps her sleep better or keeps her company in the dead of night while you read in a few whispers before bed;
- But you are a faceless voice, she cannot identify where you are coming from and who you are, you are not someone who has ever asked Madrigals for help or interacts with many people, she could never identify you or track you in the small crowd of residents, which intrigued and interested her the most;
- Then Camilo's 15th birthday party arrived and just like everyone else in the village you were invited, Dolores was curious because she had never seen you before and when you spoke for the first time, loud and clear, she choked and made a cute little noise that got your attention;
- She finally found the mysterious girl with the voice that soothes her days and nights. Then she realized that the strange feeling in the pit of her stomach and the anxiety to hear your voice was more than just curiosity.
Isabela
- You've known each other since you were kids, but you never were exactly close, she always got angry and you ended up out of the games for not playing the way she wanted, rebellious as you are you took revenge on her, starting a war;
- Your cousin, the sweet and perfect Mariano, is the one who forced you two back together, you are his only family besides his mother and the boy wants you and the future wife to get along as a family should be;
- You try to be cordial most of the time but it's hard to maintain your posture when Isabela is testing all your limits and pushing buttons constantly, despite everything you not even managed to see her mistreating the lovely Mirabel, not containing yourself another argument started, one that even Abuela didn't want to get involved in;
- In the end you are too hoarse and angry to realize that Isabela's sash crumbled for a few seconds, seconds enough for her to realize that part of what had happened was pure jealousy of you and that she never felt that way about anyone, least of all Mariano, then she discovered she was in love with her fiancé's cousin and part of her perfect world crumbled into realization.
Luisa
- You used to work in the bakery assisting the big parties of the Madrigal family and in a short time you became Julieta's personal helper, she simply adores you and treats you like one of the family, so you get to know and get closer to the big and famous family of Encanto;
- Especially Luisa, she is rarely at home because she spends the day helping everyone in the village, but the occasional stops for lunch or snacks become progressively longer as you get closer, you usually chat excitedly about something that happened in your respective routines or news that Dolores told about, doesn't seem like it but she loves gossip;
- In a short time you become best friends, in fact she considers you her only friend and shares everything, besides always wanting to help you and feels a little strange when you deny help or you are the one helping her, she is not used to being taken care of by someone (besides her mother's arepas and affection), she feels very strange being on the other side of the table and for not helping you, because you are the only person she really wants to help and longs for;
- And it was at another of the big family parties that she finally noticed, you climbed up the counter to get extra glasses from the kitchen cabinet when the casita decided to give a little help and pushed you into Luisa's arms who was helping, she quickly holds you in her lap like a bride. Her eyes met yours and the girl felt her own heart miss a beat as she struggles not to kiss you right there. Then she realized that she is in love with you.
Julieta
- She first saw you in line for healing, immediately catching the eye of Alma's firstborn as you strolled among the sick showing off your funny twisted arm and bragging about the feat after falling out of a tree. She healed you quickly and had the impression that she would see more of you soon;
- And that's what happened, the following week you were in the sick bay line again, this time with a big cut on your forehead telling everyone how you fell trying to learn to ride a horse, Julieta listened to the story attentively and couldn't stop laughing at how excited you are even though your head is bleeding;
- Your visits became more and more frequent and there is always a different injury, accompanied by a funny story. Then suddenly you disappeared for a few days leaving her worried, even though this means that you have stopped hurting yourself and are fine, she felt selfish but wanted to see you again;
- A week later you reappeared, this time with no bruises or bleeding, just a little pale. Bringing with you a basket of fresh fruit, honey bread and a bottle of wine, a gift for the woman who saved your life so many times. You shamefully explained that you contracted an annoying cold and didn't want to pass it on to anyone, she could only think of how kind and empathetic you are, and silly too considering she could heal you right away and everyone else too despite your defense of not wanting to overwhelm her. Warming her heart in a different way and Julieta instinctively hugged you, in the comfort of your arms realized how much she wants to see you and be able to heal every bruise with kisses and caresses.
Pepa
- Best childhood friends! Since was a child she helped in the plantations of the local farmers, including your family, and that's how you met and became one and the same. The funny part of the story is that she asked for help to cry and make rain, you just kicked her in the knee and then apologized a thousand times;
- As the years went by you became closer and closer and she felt more and more comfortable around you, to the point of showing the deepest emotions that she hides from the world, with you she can create the most beautiful rainbows and the most terrible storms knowing that you don't care. So when you entered adolescence became inseparable, attached at the hip, accompanying each other in daily chores, having dinner together with the Madrigal family and having sleepover parties almost every week, sometimes together with her siblings who adore you;
- Pepa has always been the most precocious of the group, she lost her milk teeth before everyone else, she has always been the tallest, she was the one who gave the first kiss and had the first boyfriend, when you didn't keep up with her the redhead felt strange but at the same time relieved, she is a jealous friend and drives away anyone who comes near you with just a look or a sky changing color;
- Days before your 18th birthday there is a sleepover in her room and you shyly ask Pepa to teach you how to kiss, she was reluctant and tense to imagine why you would want to learn such a thing, but you do it anyway and don't regret. During the kiss she realizes that it was your first and feels deeply proud, in the middle of the night, while you sleep peacefully next to her, she looks at the ceiling, reflecting and trying to understand the weird feeling in the pit of her stomach that says there is something different... she realizes that she has been deeply in love with you since forever.

Author's note: Hi!! Sorry for taking so long to answer this. I was currently working on another request when you posted posted your request. I waited until Thursday to write this, and hope you enjoy.
Note: The original punishment could've been worse but I changed it to not make them seem to cruel.
"Why do you wanna escape so badly?"
You are Y/N L/N. You're 19 years old and a curious woman. You always loved studying everything to satisfy your curiosity. Everything was interesting, and you wanted to know everything.
You also liked meeting new people, well you liked meeting women. You're a lesbian. At first, you were in denial. You tried dating a few guys before but it never worked out.
The reason you found out you were a lesbian was when you met Carmen. She was majestic. Everything about her was perfect, sadly it didn't work 'cause turns out.. She was straight.
But thanks to her, you finally knew what your sexuality was.
Pepa Madrigal is part of the famous Madrigal family. She's the middle sibling. Her gift is controlling the weather with her emotions. Which to you, was cool and a curse at the same time.
Even though you two don't talk much, she was an amazing woman. You liked studying about her and her gift. Sometimes you help her with it. You also liked her hair. She's so pretty.
Julieta Madrigal is also part of the Madrigal. She's the eldest sibling, She is also considered as Alma's favorite. Her gift is healing someone with her food. You wished you had her gift.
You remembered having lots of injuries because you defended your crush. She insisted on going to Julieta, so you did. You met Julieta and you two had a small chat.
Having a conversation with her was entertaining. She was so interesting. Sure, you don't meet her daily but you and her talk on a weekly basis.
You always praised her, unknowingly making her flustered all the time.
You didn't notice the love in their eyes because you were too interested in your crush.
♡
Julieta Madrigal and Pepa Madrigal had a crush on you. Shocking, right? Imagine having two Madrigal sisters liking you, it must be a blessing.
Julieta liked you because of how curious you were. You loved knowing new things, everything was interesting to you. Whenever she had a conversation with you, she was always hooked and entertained.
She loved talking to you. She was excited to talk to you. If only Alma didn't need her all the time, she would've been with you 24/7. She always dreamed of spending a month with you. Just the two of you.
Pepa Madrigal loved how you helped her with her emotions. You always calmed her down. You even tried to tell her that she should embrace her gift. She does what you say, but with Alma wanting for her to be perfect it was hard.
You were always there for her. No matter how rude she was to you, you would stay by her side. You never insulted her, you never hated her, you never give her judgemental looks. You always supported her.
The two never knew that each of them liked Y/N. This was the day they will know. I wonder how they'll react.
Julieta was always writing love letters for you, but she always hides it, fearing how Alma will react. However she wasn't ready to show you before but this week she was ready to tell you how she feels.
Should she send anonymous love letters to you for a month and then reveal herself? Maybe. Or should she directly tell you? Maybe.
"Julieta! Come down, right now!"
"Okay, Mamá!" She immediately left her room forgetting to close her love letter and her door.
But Pepa, on the other hand, likes to have a shrine of you. Like pictures of you, maybe some items she stole from you, or a note on a certain item for her to remember how she got it.
She was too scared to tell you how she felt. She was afraid of rejection. She wanted you to tell her that you liked her. But if it comes to it, she'll probably confess to you if she feels confident enough.
Pepa came out of the bathroom. "Julieta, have you seen my hairbrush?" She waited for an answer but she didn't receive any.
She sighed and saw that Julieta's door was open. Maybe it was there? She went inside and tried to find her hairbrush.
Julieta finally did the tasks Alma gave her, except one. Which was finding Pepa. She climbed upstairs and went to Pepa's room.
Pepa saw a letter on Julieta's desk.
Julieta saw a small cabinet-like beside Pepa's bed.
It wouldn't hurt to look right?
Pepa walked closer to Julieta's desk,
Julieta walked closer to it,
Pepa took the letter and read it.
Julieta opened it and saw what was inside.
They both gasped.
Julieta wrote a love letter for Y/N!
Pepa had a shrine of Y/N!
Does that mean Pepa/Julieta likes Y/N?
Both of them were shocked.
Pepa closed her eyes and put down the letter then went outside of Julieta's room.
Julieta sighed and closed the shrine, also going outside of Pepa's room.
Then they both bumped into each other.
They looked each other in the eye, and blurted something out without thinking twice,
"We need to talk!"
Julieta took Pepa to the bathroom and closed the door.
"You like Y/N?" Julieta asked her.
"Well.. Maybe? Um, do you like Y/N?" She replied.
Julieta closed her eyes and sighed.
"Yes, I do."
They looked at each other. Then Julieta had a brilliant idea. She then whispered something to Pepa.
"Well then?" Julieta took out her right hand for Pepa to shake.
"Deal." She shook Julieta's hand.
They decided to share you. What's the harm in that, Right?
♡
It was finally the day. The day they confess to you.
The plan was to spend time with you, 'cause they found out that quality time was your love language.
So maybe, if they spend lots of time with you and make you entertained you'll probably gain a crush on them.
After that Julieta will send you a letter to meet them at a certain place.
Y/N'S POV:
I received a letter at my doorstep. I looked around to see if anyone was nearby, but to my dismay there was no one.
I picked up the letter.
My dearest, Y/N
I have been admiring you ever since we met. Then, after a few months of admiring you, we have realized we fell in love with you. If you wish to know who we are meet us at the Caño Cristales.
Love,
Your Secret admirers.
I finished reading the letters then a lot of questions filled my mind.
Who sent this letter?
Were they a girl or a boy?
Admirers? I have multiple people who like me?
Do they want a polyamorous relationship or do I have to choose? I mean I don't mind having a poly relationship with someone, who knows, it might be a great experience.
I folded the paper and placed it in my pocket.
I went to the location they mentioned. When I finally got there I saw a familiar ginger hair and a familiar Tiffany blue dress.
"Are you sure? What if they don't come? Or what if they reject us?"
"I'm sure it will be fine."
Wait a second.. Their voices are really familiar.
"Ahem?"
The girls turned around. It was Julieta and Pepa Madrigal!
"Oh, ho-Hola, Y/N."
"Buenas Tardes, Y/N! [Good afternoon, Y/N!]"
"Hola, Pepa. Hola, Julieta. So, I'll assume you two sent the letter?"
"Si!" Julieta smiled at you.
I felt myself sweating. How do I tell them that I don't like them the same way?
"So.. Me and Pepa had a crush on you for the past few months. We really liked you. We wanted to be with you for so long but we couldn't stand the thought of you not being with us..-"
I stopped listening. I hated this. I feel bad for them. But the thought of them wanting to be with them made me sick. I only see them as friends.
"/N..? Y/N?"
"Yes!"
"So, what's your answer?"
"I'm sorry, Julieta. I'm sorry, Pepa. But I don't feel the same. I only see you two as my friends. But I appreciate that you two had the confidence to confess!"
Then I heard thunder and rain. It was Pepa. "Clear skies.. Clear skies.."
I also noticed Julieta had an upset look.
I walked away from them then ran home. I laid down on my bed and sighed. I'll just forget this day ever happened. Then I felt my eyes close then the darkness surrounded me.
3rd person pov:
Julieta and Pepa couldn't sleep. They missed Y/N. They couldn't believe she rejected them. Sadly the plan failed.
While Julieta was staring at the ceiling she thought of an idea. She sat up and gasped. "I should tell Pepa!" She whispered.
She changed her clothes and went inside Pepa's room. She walked close to her bed and tapped her shoulder. "Pepa! Pepa!"
"What now, Julieta?" Pepa sat up and looked annoyed.
"I have a plan!"
Pepa groans. "Let's just give up, Julieta. She doesn't like us. What's the point anyway?" Pepa then laid down.
Julieta sighed and smirked. "Well then. Hope you'll enjoy seeing me and Y/N happy together for the rest of your life."
She then heard thunder. "What did you say?"
"Well?"
"Fine. What is it?"
Y/N's POV:
I then woke up but I felt something restricting my hands and feet from moving. Also I felt something cover my eyes and my mouth. Am I kidnapped?
I then started to struggle. "Sshh. Stop struggling mi vida. You'll only hurt yourself."
She took off the blindfold and the cloth that covered my mouth. "What the hell are you doing?"
"We are doing this for your own good."
You wanna guess who kidnapped me? If you guessed Pepa and Julieta Madrigal, you're correct.
What the hell is gonna happen to me?
♡
Every night the sisters would always make you be with one of them but on Sundays, they would share you. For the first 3 days, Julieta made you stay with her. For the next 3 days, Pepa made you stay with her.
Surprisingly, Alma and Bruno doesn't know this yet. If they did, the sisters would be punished, any of them didn't want that so they kept being secretive and kept making excuses.
Even though you despised them for kidnapping you, being with them was hell and fun at the same time.
Y/N's POV:
I woke up at Julieta's bed. I saw her cooking. I moved a bit to see what she was cooking. She was cooking Arepas con Queso. Oh, of course she knew what my favorite food was.
She placed the Arepas con Queso on the tray and walked towards me. "Do you wanna have breakfast in bed or not?" She asked me with a smile. Gosh, she looked so pretty.
I glared at her and took the tray. I then started to eat. She chuckled and sat beside me. I then stopped eating and looked her in the eye. "Why are you doing this?"
"Huh? Do what?"
"Kidnap me. What do you gain from this?"
She then paused then smiled, keeping her composure. "Because.. Because I love you. I couldn't bear the thought that you'd be with someone else."
"What about Pepa? Did you force her to do this with you?"
"Oh, no. Mi amor, She agreed to do this with me."
"So, she likes me too?"
"Didn't I mention that already in my-.. Our confession?"
"No, well, I don't think so. I didn't really listen much."
Julieta looked at me and held my hand.
I sighed. "You know what? Since I'll just stay here for the rest of my life, entertain me."
"I beg your pardon?"
"Entertain me. Don't keep me bored. Just talk to me or do whatever you want, just don't make me bored. Okay?"
She smirked. "Okay." Her eyes then widened. "The people!" She whispered.
"What?" I asked her.
"I have to cook! Well, uhm, do you want to talk while I cook or do you want to help me and talk at the same time?"
"The second one."
She nodded and stood up. I also stood up. She took the ingredients and placed it on the table.
"So.. Why do you like me?" I look at her while doing the instructions she placed on the table.
"I liked- No, I loved how curious you are. You were so interesting. You loved studying, either history, science or any other subjects or studying people's behavior. You were.. Words couldn't explain how spectacular you are!"
I noticed the passion in Julieta's eyes while talking about you. Which to me, was weird. How does a person have passion for how they love someone? I didn't understand it.
I wouldn't understand it even though I had a crush on Carmen, but there is a difference between liking someone and loving someone.
I sighed, I'll never understand love.
"Why don't you like me?" She asked.
"Do you know Carmen?"
"Carmen Grove?"
"Yeah. I had a crush on her. And when you and Pepa confessed to me, I haven't moved on yet. I still couldn't bear the fact Carmen is straight."
Julieta looks at me.
"If I met you or Pepa first, I would've liked you first."
She blushes. "Well, how can you say that?"
"You're my type. Calm, smart, good at cooking, caring, and did I mention pretty?"
"You- You think I'm pretty?"
"Who doesn't? Besides, the way you always care for your family more than yourself is so admirable. Having a conversation with you is really fun, if I didn't have so many things to do, I would talk to you all day. You would definitely be a good girlfriend."
"You think so?"
"Everyone in the world does."
She giggles. She then moved closer to me and leaned her head to my shoulder.
If only she didn't kidnap me, I would've kissed her right now.
♡
3rd person POV:
You were gonna be with Pepa today. You woke up on Pepa's bed to see her walking back and forth with some rain coming out of her cloud.
"Pepa?" You called her.
She flinched and looked at you. She smiled at you awkwardly and waved. "b-Buenos días, Y/N! Cómo estás? [Good morning, Y/N! How are you?] " She stutters. She's probably nervous.
"Buenos dias. Estoy bien. [Good morning. I'm Good.]" You answered. "Are you alright? You've been pacing and you're.. Dripping? Do you need a towel?"
"I- I'm alright. Mama's been stressing me out." She smiled.
"Pepa! Get down here!" Alma called.
She sighed and tried to stop the cloud from appearing. "I gotta go. Bye!" She ran outside of her room.
When she left you decided to explore her room. You stood up and walked around her room. You saw a small cabinet-like thing.
You opened it to see a lot of pictures of you and your personal items. You gasped and covered your mouth. You immediately closed it.
You sighed and carried on. Then you saw a book, it was titled "Mood board". Oh, you remembered this, you created a lot of these and also gave this to her.
Should you open it? But what about her privacy? Actually, screw her privacy. She literally kidnapped you, no need to act nice. You opened it and started reading.
Mood board,
I love Y/N. She was so nice to me, unlike mama. I hope she feels the same. I want her to be mine. I want her to be with me. I want her to stay with me. Is it selfish to think that? To be honest, I'm jealous of Julieta. She always gets Y/N's attention which annoys me soo much. I'll try to get her attention tomorrow.
I also noticed little doodles of me and her together which were actually cute. Then I heard the door open. I panicked and immediately closed the book.
I noticed thunder above her head and she looked mad. She groaned and sat down at the bed beside me.
I felt bad for her. I then put my hand on her back to reassure her. I wonder if there were waterproof clothes for her. She needs it. "Are you alright?"
"I hate mama! She's so annoying! she always complains about my gift, I can't do anything about it so what does she want me to do? I swear she literally wants me to smile all the time. She's invalidating my emotions!"
My eyes widened. Oh. Alma seems like a bad mother.
"Just ignore her. Don't force yourself to always be happy. Emotions are a part of the human body. Don't even try to bottle your feelings. ''There is some evidence that bottling up your emotions can lead to physical stress on the body. The stress caused to the body can lead to increased diabetes and heart disease risks. Other effects can be memory difficulties.” "
She looks at me with disbelief.
"I- I read it. In a book." I smile awkwardly.
She sighs and cuddles me. "Thank you for that information but I think I just need your warmth." She then moves towards me and hugs me.
Since I didn't know what to do I hugged her back.
♡
You couldn't bear staying in the Casita. Seeing Julieta's and Pepa's room for a month was so annoying. You couldn't stand seeing them. They should give you an oscar for acting so nice to them. You wanted to escape so badly.
The problem was Casa Madrigal or The Casita. It had a mind of its own. If you even took a step away from their rooms, you would be dead. How does a house even take sides? Then again the Encanto is full of miracles.
Thankfully, Carmen taught you all about escaping and endurance. But how do you escape a house full of people with magic powers? Maybe, blow out the candle? Hmm, the candle is magic, can it be blown out easily?
The only time you had time alone to yourself was when Pepa and Julieta were having Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner. You might be thinking, what about when they were helping people? They bring you with them. So, you'll wait for Lunch time since they'll finish Breakfast quickly.
You never knew time was so slow, but you need to be patient or they'll see through you.
Julieta was braiding your hair when Alma called her. "I gotta go. I want you to stay here, alright?" She warned you. You nodded, acting as if you didn't plan on escaping.
She went outside and closed the door. After a minute of waiting, you stood up and walked to her window. It was locked. It would be hard with the way it was designed but how could Julieta be so stupid to not even barricade the window?
Whatever, her being stupid is not your fault. After 10 minutes you finally unlocked it. You then heard footsteps. You panicked and immediately jumped down. Your knees hurt but you had to leave now. You never ran so fast even the cameraman couldn't catch up.
You obviously went to Carmen's house, if you went to your house they would instantly kidnap you again. You knocked and thankfully Carmen opened the door so fast. "Y/N? Why are you panting? Also where have you been? I missed you!"
"Can... Can I stay at your place? Please?"
She looked at you and agreed. You went inside and sat down at the table. You sighed in relief. Carmen sat down at the table and intertwined her fingers with yours. "Y/N?" She whispered to you. "We need to talk." She looked at you, worried.
"Okay, fine. But, I'll warn you that you might think I'm crazy."
timeskip
You two slept in Carmen's bed, much to her boyfriend's dismay. You never felt so calm but you were still scared of them, scared they might kidnap you. But they don't know where Carmen's house is, right?
Whatever, you need to relax.
Y/N's POV:
I woke up. I was expecting to see Carmen or her ceiling. The only thing I saw were clouds, but it looked familiar. I sat up to see the clouds in Pepa's room and saw them.
I gasped.
"We're very disappointed in you, mi amor." Julieta looked mad and I noticed Pepa had a thunder above her head.
"Looks like we were too nice to you. From now on, we'll be extra strict to you from now on." She smirked. Pepa pulled out a cloth and used it to cover my mouth. She kissed my cheek.
Julieta took out a cuff and cuffed my ankles to Pepa's bed. I panicked but I couldn't say anything thanks to the cloth. "Since you escaped from us, your punishment will be.. Hmm.. How about only drinking water for a week with no food." She smirked.
I was scared but helpless. I would rather die than stay with them. She stood up. Julieta and Pepa left me alone in the room, helpless.
What have I done to deserve this?

Por qué - B.M. x Male!Reader Drabble
Req: No | Wc: ≈750
Pair: Bruno Madrigal x Male Reader; he/him
Fandom: Encanto (2021)
Synopsis: During Antonio Madrigal's gift ceremony, a man stumbles upon a secret opening in the wall hidden by a painting. When exploring the tunnel he finds a missing Madrigal.
Warning(s): None (Feel free to add any through my request box, my direct messages, or comment!)
Author's Notes: The reader can speak Spanish (sorry if I get something wrong in advance). Sorry for it being so short, I'm lacking creativity right now. This can be read as Gender Neutral for there aren't any gender indications.
Upbeat music was playing, people were dancing, and individuals were drinking You had begun to have a small headache as you roamed the building, a red-purple drink sloshed around in a cup as you wandered down halls and into rooms. All you had wanted was a place of peace and solitude just so you can unwind.
You had chatted and spoken to many different people throughout the celebration. Mostly neighbors that we're asking how you were, how [Family Member] was, or just saying hi.
"Hey, [Name]." A feminine voice called, your head bent. It was Pepa, she was walking towards you wearing her traditional warm colors. Her sun earrings bobbed back and forth as she strode in your direction.
"¡Ah, Hola Pepa!" You exclaimed, going in for an embrace which she had returned.
"[Name], how have you been?" She asked, stepping back from the hug.
"Great, you?" You said, grinning.
"Good, I haven't seen you in quite a while! Félix, come here!" She yelled. A kind-looking dark-skinned Latino came forth from the buzzing crowd he had a nicely knitted yellow sweater, the sweater had red etchings on it.
"Hola, Félix," you said, outstretching my hand for him to shake. He gleefully took it and gave it a heartfelt shake.
"[Name]! I haven't seen you since forever!" He beamed.
You grinned back, "I know, we have some catching up to do!"
You chatted for a while before they had left off to go back to talk to Julieta. You left off again, walking down an upstairs hallway. The walls had paintings or photos hung on them, of the family mostly. You examined every other one, seeing their magnificently embroidered details.
Passing Abuela's room there were individual photos of each Madrigal. After walking and examining a bit more, you had stumbled upon a 'lose' painting. There were small bronzy colored hinges similar to a door and it gave a creak when opening. A hole in the wall was evident, but where it lead was a secret you had yet to know. It was just the perfect size for you to be able to clamber in, so you squeezed yourself into the gap and lead yourself down a narrow passage. Vaulting over obstacles and mounting up old wooden stairs. Honestly, you had no clue in the world you were following through with this. It felt like destiny and you had nothing better to do except mope around the Madrigal's Casita.
The walls were creased and seemed almost ancient with dust. Grime and muck were tucked in crevices, trailed up the walls, and spotted around the floor. You could hear the passing of rats, their small limbs clattering softly against the wooden floor. Cobwebs hung like tapestries along the wooden inner wall.
Letting urges lead you to where you had unconsciously wanted to go, you ended up at a door. After making prints in dust and rat feces with your sandals. After climbing through a hidden passage. After pouting around a hearty celebration, something told you to be where you stood–before a plain wood-plank door.
Noticing the light that oozed through the plank's spaces, you gave a strict but subtle knock. You could hear (surprised) shuffling and a hushed bawl behind the door, and then silence. You knocked again, silence. Deciding that you had nothing better to do, you invited yourself into the room.
It was mostly a mess, with key things being a table and a minuscule theater in front of an armchair. Then there was the small man standing in the corner with about chin-length curly black hair with barely noticeable grey streaks flowing randomly, he wore a green poncho with hourglass designs running down the sides. You looked quite shocked to see Bruno Madrigal, infamously known throughout the town cowering in a corner. I took you a minute to regain your composure and endeavor to be dominant in conversation–and not freak out.
He chuckled, wobbling profusely to stand up. He knocked his hip into a table and groaned before recollecting himself. “Eh, hello?” He said, “I don’t think you’re supposed to be here.”
"And why not?” Your eyebrow arched, eyes glinting at the man in front of you with curiosity. The man just kind of hobbled and looked away. “¿Por qué?”
"Because. . .”
You hummed, amused.
"Because this is my home and you’re trespassing."
You stifled a small laugh. "Alright. . ." You scanned him. ". .Señor Bruno. I’ll leave."
As you turned away from the door, he spoke up. “Wait!”
”Yes?” You mused, turning your head in his direction.
”Could you just stay for a bit? It’s kinda lonely and I don’t think you have many things to look forward to if you found me.” He said, eyes pleading.
”Alright, but just for a few minutes.”
”Thank you.”
Minutes turned into hours. . .

Bruno with a s/o that takes care of him after his visions
SO! I just saw a post about how in the book they say that Bruno's gift actually cause him some kind of pain. AND I'M HERE WITH SOME HEADCANONS.
A little warning tho, english is not my mother language, so I'm really sorry for any grammar mistake. Grammar corrections are always welcome!
• Bruno is already used to the headache and sore eyes that comes after every vision, 40-something years of doing them constantly would do that to you, so he doesn't really do anything about them anymore.
• Also, due to him getting bad reactions from the villagers most of the time, he kinda sees the pain as a punishment for being a bad omen.
• You call BS
• When you both get together, after casita is rebuild, you are always there with him after every vision with some fresh coffee and one of Julieta's arepa to try and help with the pain.
• At first he tried to tell you that the pain isn't that bad, but you never falter. After a while of you taking care of him, he can notice that the pain that he always fells was seemingly worse when he wasn't taking care of it.
• After a really bad vision, like, "you are going to die tomorrow" kind of vision, the headache would be so much worse that even Julieta's cooking couldn't help, apparently her gift can only heal so much.
• In these cases, you would make sure to cuddle him all you can and whisper sweet things to him like "todo va a estar bien mi vida" or "no es tu culpa corazón" trying to comfort him.
• You also give a signal to the Madrigals for them to leave you both alone. The first time the saw a bad reaction of this kind they all tried to help Bruno, only making the pain worse due to him feeling already overwhelmed and extremely exhausted.
• At first the family gets sad when they can't help their brother and uncle, but after seeing you taking care of him with such love and delicacy, their own worry lessens, knowing that Bruno is in very good hands.
• After a while, and once Bruno has already calmed and if he feels like it, you would take him for a little walk around the forest in the night to see the stars and just be together.
• If he doesn't feels like it, you two would cuddle in your bed until morning, chatting in low voices and him telling you how much he loves you and how much he is grateful for having found you.
Edit: Wow, 250 notes!? That's a lot, I'm glad you liked this guys :')

hey my dude, could i request hc on being childhood friends to lovers with Isabela, with y/n being the opposite of her? like y/n is a troublemaker and rebellious? thanks in advance
Childhood friends to lovers with Isabela!
ooo i like this idea! I just opened up my requests to writing romantically for more encanto characters and i’ve had this in my asks for a while! sorry it took me so long to get to it :)
As children, you and Isabela were scolded by the encanto’s matriarch basically every other day.
You always led her into doing rebellious things even if you didn’t mean to. It just happened.
When Isabela got her gift and had to uphold the “perfect” image, she forced herself to spend less and less time with you, even if it was something she didn’t want.
She never forgot about those little chats the both of you used to have though. You guys would always say that you two would be together forever and get married.
Thinking back on it, Isabela thought it was silly but a part of her really did want to be with you.
Isabela also remembered how her Abuela almost banned the two of you from ever hanging out again. Reminiscing on how upset the two of you were brought a smile to her face. Your whiny voices begging to stay together and the two of you hugging to signify you’d never separate made her heart melt.
Of course she would still invite you to hang out from time to time, behind her grandmother’s back. And you somehow still led her into trouble. If you got caught, it was always blamed on poor Camilo.
Whenever Isa would hesitate go against the rules, you’d tell her to “live a little” and that being bad was a part of growing up.
If you guys got lost somewhere in the jungle though, Dolores always had your back. She would find you guys and take you back without getting caught.
Same thing with getting hurt. Julieta always slid the both of you some arepas before you guys left. The woman always made sure you two would never get caught.
Julieta was helping because she knew what it was like to be the golden child, incapable of being able to be a kid because of the harsh expectation placed upon her.
You and Isa always asked Dolores to join you as well, but she always claimed that it wasn’t for her. In reality, she noticed how the both of your heartbeats would synchronize when you were together or when they would race when a relationship of any kind was mentioned.
One of the things you’d do was go outside of town, on the outskirts of the encanto, and tend to your secret garden. You and Isa planted plants there, without using her power and you two slowly watched them grow together.
During her periodic visits, you guys would always end up in a dirt fight (you started it every time) and you would have to hose Isabela down afterwards. It was hilarious.
The way your laugh echoed in the girl’s ears made her smile. You never noticed the loving gazes she gave you and she never noticed the loving gazes you gave her.
Every night without fail, you would stand outside Casita, hoping that Isa would somehow know you were there and come out and you could finally tell her how you felt.
She obviously had no idea that you were outside her home, otherwise she would have come running.
Little did you know, every night in bed, she wished that you would call out her name and ask her to run away with you.
She would accept without a second thought, wanting to be selfish for once and leave everything behind.
When she was out in town, you’d occasionally have little chats with her about random things, just an an excuse to talk to her.
God her smile, it always had your heart fluttering tenfold. You were praying she didn’t notice the amount of times you looked at her lips.
Isa always grew a mini sunflower and tucked it behind your ear everytime she saw you. The girl told you that you were the only constant thing in her life, “my sunflower, I adore you” she’d always say.
This always made you blush in one way or another. You thought she was just being kind because she knew you for so long and it was okay to be sappy and stuff. But you couldn’t have been more wrong, and thank god you were, because you loved her too.
You wanted all the things you guys used to say as kids, to come true. Who cares if people say that you were too rebellious to be with such a perfect girl? It didn’t matter, because you loved her and wanted to marry her, just like you both always said.
One day, when you two were on the outskirts, at the top of a mini cliff, looking for more plants for your secret garden you decided that it was now or never, because you didn’t think you’d have this much courage again.
You took let out a sigh before starting “Isa?” you asked.
“Yeah” she responded, studying the butterfly that landed on her hand before she raised it, allowing it to fly away.
Without warning you asked her “What if we just got married like we always said we would when we were kids?” You watched the girl, curious of her reaction.
Her head snapped towards you and a light blush formed on her cheeks “W-what are you saying?” the girl asked.
“What I’m saying is that I love you” you told her, your heart racing “I’ve loved you since we were kids and not a day goes by that I don’t think about how much you mean to me.”
You were so afraid, this could change your relationship with your best friend forever if she didn’t reciprocate your feelings.
The thought of losing her was so frightening but it was worse to love this girl in silence and watch her find someone else.
Isabela inched closer to you “And if you don’t feel the same way I totally understand it’s just that I-” you were cut off by the close proximity of your lips. She placed both of her hands on your shoulders as she pulled you close.
You felt her warm breath on your lips as she looked into your eyes.
“I… love you too” she said, scanning your features before closing the distance.
You ran your fingers through her soft, silky hair as you two melted into the kiss you waiting for your entire lives.
When the girl finally pulled away, you saw her smiling to herself, cheeks tinted pink. You returned her smile, until she spoke.
“What took you so long?” she asked, locking eyes with you.
“You know, you could’ve said something first” you told her raising your eyebrows.
“Yeah but I made it sooo obvious! I even gave you a special flower every day! You know I don’t do that for anyone” Isabela looked away as she scoffed, crossing her arms.
The girl looked back at you before continuing “But I’m happy that I can finally say it now.”
“Say what?” you asked, cocking an eyebrow.
“Say that… I LOVE YOU” she turned away from you and yelled into the distance, her voice echoing from the top of the cliff into the entire encanto. You didn’t know if people would hear it, and it didn’t matter anyway. You loved her too much to care.
You laughed in response before joining her. You guys continued repeating the same phrase over and over until your throats hurt from screaming and your stomachs hurt from laughing. It was just like old times.
“So is that a yes?” you asked “To my proposal? Will you marry me?”
Isabela smiled, nodding as she took your hand softly and placed sunflower seeds in it “Yes… I’d like that very much.”
A few months later when the candleholder, Alma Madrigal asked Isabela if she found any marriage candidates, she presented you.
The whole reveal of the perfect girl marrying the rebel was messy, but that was a story for another time.

Heyyyyyyy i have one for isabella
So, reader is a person who makes dyes and paints out of berries way out in the forest
While still living pretty seperated from the rest of Encanto.
So one day when isa was growing tored of purring on her act out in public for everyone, she spots reader head out into the forest with the baskets and asked if she could help carry the basket along the way.
She finds out that this person has never heard about the Madrigals ans has mostly focused on their business and making enough money since their mother is sick and they need the money asap.
Anyways, so she decides not to tell this person about her beinf a Madrigal and dresses in clothes that are more fitting for a long trip in the forest
And goes with them weekly. This also includes the fact that she never tells them that shes engaged to someone and thwy start dating secretly.
But julieta notices that hwr daughter ia much more happier and that shes missing from encanto one certain time in the week and asked for Dolores to listen in and Dolores tells Julieta, but Alma overhears thwn thw next timw she sees Reader in thw market, she invites them over for dinner (note: same dinner that Marianos going to propose to her) then they arrive juat as Mariano gets on his knees in the middle of thw chaos
Im not sure about the rest from there, so could you handle it? Thank you again!
i love this req sm! also sorry but i made reader know of the madrigals, just not very much about them or their specific powers and made them live in the encanto, sorry about that! it just made the fic easier to write ^_^
@kindlykima
for some reason the spotify one just wouldn’t work
the berry grove
isabela madrigal (she/her) x gn!reader (they/them)
warnings: little angsty, sick mother, i think that’s it!
[1,536 words 😧]
———————————————————
crouching down by the berry bush you collected all the blueberries you could reach, when you heard a crunch behind you, turning your head you saw a girl with long black hair and a lilac dress,
“oh! um sorry for startling you” the girl said tucking her hair behind her ear and looking down slightly, you grabbed the last berry you could reach and stood up and fully turned your body to look at her,
“you’re fine, I could use company if you don’t mind, do you know where I could find some orange flowers? im y/n by the way” you gave a small smile as she looked at you with an eyebrow up, she then formed a bouquet of cosmos. she was a madrigal,
“im isabela” she gave an uneven smile to you as she handed you the bouquet, you explained how you didn’t really pay attention to her family, even though you lived in the encanto, because your mom had been sick and so you were trying to get the money with your dyes for her medicine. you chatted while helping you find berries, soon it got to dusk and she walked you back to the town square as she parted ways to go to la casa Madrigal, you stared at the back of her with a smile as you entered your home, greeting your mama, switching out the wet towel on her forehead, and reheating soup on the stove.
you sat at the table crushing the flowers and berries to make your dyes the next day. when you decided the soup was warm enough you poured some into a bowel, grabbing a spoon, you brought it to your mamí in the living room crouching beside her with a small smile on your face from the lovely girl you had spent your afternoon with.
“ay mijo/mija, what’s got you so happy” your mother uttered with a cough after, she rarely talked because it hurt her throat so you turned your head to look at her, your cheeks heating up as you explained your day,
“and she was tan bonita, mama” you finished as she gave you a smile, she had finished the soup you reheated, you brought the empty bowl to the kitchen before you returned to her, bringing a chair from the kitchen to sit next to her.
“ay, estás enamorado mi hijo/hija” she lifted her hand to tuck some of your hair behind your ear and cup your face, your thumb stroked back and forth against your mothers hand as she fell asleep. you stood up, covering her in a blanket as you teared up a bit, once you got to your room you broke down, sobbing messily, if you lost your mother you lost everything.
the next day, you woke up a little later than you meant to, quickly going to the market to buy the groceries you needed, bumping into Isabela, her abuela a few paces behind her, her eyes widened a bit and before you could say hello she turned away from you, her arm hooked around her abuela’s. you pushed it off and finished your shopping before going back to your home to make a quick breakfast for your madre before getting to work, little did you know your berry girl had seen where you entered.
later that day you had just finished mixing your crushed up flowers and berry to add to the base dye when you heard a small knock at the front door. you got up wiping your hands on your apron and opened the door to be met with Isabela,
“hola y/n, im sorry about earlier, my abuela wants me to be perfect and that means not knowing of me going to the berry grove, i’ll accompany you anytime i can, if you tell me your schedule..” she looked up, her face still facing the ground slightly. to her surprise you had a smile on your face,
“yeah i’d like that” and that’s how it was for weeks, she would accompany you on your twice a week journey to the berry grove, and if you needed some flower for dye quicker she’d make a bouquet of the flower for you,at some point she had confessed she was in love with you, but your relationship had to be secret, you didn’t question her, immediately admitting to your reciprocated feelings, eventually she met your mother, who adored her, calling Isabela her hija already.
on your love’s side however, her mother became suspicious of her oldest daughter being much happier than she has been. that’s when she consults her niece
“Dolores, cariño, do you mind listening in on Isabela when she leaves today, even though I hate going behind mi vida’s back but i’m just so curious!” and of course Dolores agreed to her tia’s request. when Isabela headed down the hill, Dolores followed her prima, keeping a keen ear out. She heard her greet the townspeople, nothing unusual until she heard her prima say something.
“hola, mi mariposa” isabela had greeted you in your berry grove, she followed her voice until you and Isabela came into view. Isabela cupping your cheek as you held her hand to your chest. Dolores squeaked out of instinct and isabela turned quickly, almost shifting you to be behind her.
“Dolores! I-I can explain” she gave a nervous laugh to her prima with wide eyes. she tried swallowing the lump in her throat, her eyes threatening tears to form.
“Isabela, please explain to me what is happening, i’m not mad if that’s what your worried about” Dolores stated, Isabela walked a distance away from you, as for you not to hear, but not before giving you a kiss on the cheek. She explained to her prima how she didn’t like Mariano and how she fell in love with you and had been seeing you for weeks, Dolores comforted her prima and left, not without saying a pleasant goodbye to you, and headed back to Casita to explain to her tía of what was happening with su hija. However, someone else had heard what was happening with the eldest madrigal grandchild.
the next day, you had been in the market buying bread to make some food for your madre when the Alma Madrigal had approached you, requesting to speak. you obliged, slightly cautious because of the events of yesterday. She had invited you to dinner that night, and to come at 8. you agreed and finished buying the bread you needed and headed home, explaining to your mother how you would be gone that evening.
time skip to 8pm
you arrived at casita’s door, before your hand reached the door to knock it opened on its own, shuffling its tiles in greeting, you smiled at it and gave a little wave, walking in you were guided to the dining room by the floor tiles, you heard a thud as a piano being dragged by Luisa down the stairs, you squeezed past it seeing a sight you wished you never did. there was el amor de tu vida being proposed to by some classic perfect guy, she looked up from the man, her perfect smile dropping and eyes widening as her eyes met yours, you could feel your tears already start to fall as you ran out, hearing isabela knock over her chair yelling out a ‘mi amor!’ as well as what seemed to be the man’s abuela yelling out ‘what is happening?!’
You rushed out of Casita’s door running down the hill, almost slipping multiple times because of the newly wet tiles from pepa’s thunderstorm that had just begun. Soon you heard the door close again and footsteps after you,
“please let me explain, mi amor” you felt more tears come on as she got closer to you, you turned to her as she cupped your neck and tears formed in her own eyes,
“i never wanted to marry him, i didn’t have a choice, mi abuela matched me with him and i have to be the perfect child,” she leaned her forehead against yours and closed her eyes, “please believe me, amor, im only in love with you, i only want to marry you.” you gave her a tight hug, putting your face against her neck.
you both separated slightly when you heard a pair of footsteps, as isabela turns her head to look behind her, and then to look to the side, eyes following the figure, you can only assume this is Julieta, Isabela’s mamá.
“ay, Mamá, I-“
“it’s okay, mi amor, i know you love them and as long as you are happy, me and your papí are too” she gave a very motherly smile to her daughter, and then to you. Isabela let go of you as she let her tears run as she hugged her madre, Julieta then opened her unoccupied arm to invite you into their mother-daughter hug, you complied and joined them, isabela giggling as her mother covered her face in kisses.
after Isabela’s tío, Felíx had calmed down Pepa, Isabela led you back into the house, Isabela’s youngest sister missing, she introduced you to her familia. Them being as accepting as always, Camilo wondering how you fell in love with her, but all in all, you and Isabela were together, and not just in secret.

Bruno X heartbroken reader?
A/n: I apologize for this taking so long, also damn this is gonna be sad.
You never thought something as much as a breakup would hurt so much. Seeing someone you loved with another person. You hated it, you couldn’t understand why, why did they do it? Why did they drag out the relationship if they never loved you.
Feeling more tears run down your cheek you let out another sob wrapping your arms around your knees. You weren’t quite sure you could handle going back to the village, not when everyone knew what happened.
“Y/n.”
Biting your lip you buried your face into your knees. “What do you want Bruno.”
“I came to check on my best friend.” Sitting next to you Bruno didn’t know what to do, he didn’t like seeing you upset, he didn’t like seeing you cry.
“Why Bruno…I don’t understand.”
Shaking his head Bruno wrapped his arms around your waist hugging you close. He would do anything to make you happy again. “He’s an idiot y/n…he wouldn’t know a good thing if it hit him upside the head. Besides…Pepa is having a little chat with him.” He teased as a small snort escaped your lips, you quickly covered your lips.
“I hope Julieta won’t give him anything.”
“She won’t…Mama isn’t too happy either…” he gave you a small wink as a smile slowly formed on your face.
You may have been heart broken but with the help of the Madrigal’s you knew it something you could get over. “Thank you Bruno….I feel much better now.” Closing your eyes you rested your head on his shoulder as you wove your fingers through his own.
“Good..because the sun isn’t as bright with out your smile.”
