( ooc ): I'm really just sitting here in between my studying, figuring out what philosophy theory Hewlett would subscribe to.
#( ooc )#( I need to look more into my ethics notes because he's influenced by his morals mostly )#( but like I'm stuck on whether he would believe in rule utilarianism virtue ethics or the scriptural divine command theory )#( virtue ethics and scriptural command theory are big contrasts to the utilitarianism theory )#( virtue ethics doesn't deal with rules and principles for guiding ones morals as utilarianism does )#( scriptural command theory is a nonconsequential theory so again it contrasts against utilarianism )#( Hewlett might take multiple of these into account because he probably has learned the surface level all of these in his education )#( but he also states that he takes inspo from classic greek literature and he also is guided by his religious beliefs )#( like for his loyalty to the King )#( sooooo Hewlett could be a mixed bag )#( I'm making this more complicated than it needs to be I'm sorry-- )
