( 🐇 ) AS EVER THE veena had not noticed the other who had been watching her the way that they had. she had been focused on the conversation she'd been having with the others that had required her attention . . that only when it was over she felt the hair on the back of her neck stand up. she was being watched ( gods, what now . . ) which left her on HIGH ALERT.

( 🐇 ) ALISAIE, AS EVER, was once again hitting the nail on the head. it was hard to not fall into a state of despair ( even when falling into such holes posed definite dangers lately ) with the way everything was right now. seeing alisaie and how she continued to be no nonsense even now was a relief.

HER EARS PERK up from her leaned back state at the sight ( and sound ) of the food being dropped 'pon the table in the middle of the room. she's sheepish at the mention of her not sleeping well --- was she that transparent ? probably. though not much could escape alisaie's purview.

< ASTUTE AS EVER. tell me that you got food for the both of us and not just myself . . besides, what did you bring ? > she's lingering still where she had begun but it was clear in the way she craned her neck and how her nose wriggled that she was trying to figure it out.

@magiirealism - 'Ya like sweets, right?' These are the first words spoken to Dahlia upon spotting her; why open with a proper greeting when Dalva can instead hand over a box of cupcakes? 'Baking's not really what I'm best at, but I'm not gonna get any better unless I practice.' Despite his modesty, though, upon opening the box, Dahlia would find a set of six perfectly iced cupcakes, each one with a swirl of a different colour. 'So I hope y'enjoy them!' \ unprompted, always open !

( 🐇 ) THE VEENA'S EARS perked up 'pon catching dalva's voice as it grew closer to her. she'd been doing her damnedest lately to try and get better at gardening ( she wasn't doing the best job ) which left her in the shade of the greenhouse. her focus instantly sat on the box in his hands after the screen door WAS NUDGED OPEN.

THE TROWEL IN her hands was placed aside as she turned to look at him proper while offering a nod in response to the question he had posed. she takes the box from him when it was offered her direction, using one hand to open it - eyes sparkling in delight WITHIN MERE MOMENTS.

GODS HE'S so wrong, and he really doesn't know just how strong he is. she'll have to tell him. and she will without pause. < OF COURSE YOU can. the only thing holding you back from doing so is believing that you can. you have gone through the hells and back. lost much and . . only those that are strong often pull through with the OPTIMISM YOU HAVE for life. > her chest burns in sadness, seeing how little dalva believed in himself when she ( and his brother ) very much THOUGHT SO MUCH of him.

One of Dalva's ears twitches as Dahlia clears her throat, an odd enough gesture in itself. He looks to her and watches what she has to sign. And then he shakes his head. ( 🐇 ) EXCITEMENT BUBBLED WITHIN the viera as the concept of perhaps having a new companion join her on her newfound adventure. she was easily sated ( unfortunately for everyone around her who may be suspicious of her new friend ) which had never been a problem before. NO, NEVER.

SHE NODS, SHARP teeth showing themselves in her smile as they question her reasons for going ; though it seems a little sad all the same. remember them, search for adventures outside of the realm of comfort and SEARCH SHE SHALL.

A FRIEND INSISTED i should go out and seek out new lands. explore and thrive. for me it will be that but also a MUCH NEEDED VACATION.

Across the sea? They tilt there head. 'Plenty time,' they agree - what better time to learn something new than being stuck on a boat with your mentor for an indeterminate amount of time? 'But what is across the sea?' They know why people crossed the sea, for they have observed it plenty in their life: new lands, new adventures, for the enjoyment of travel. They hope she will be able to provide a little more specificity than simply "to see what's there."
