thinking vague thoughts about how the boxing instructor has now mentioned a couple things that were par for the course in tae kwon do as being distinctly bad for you

#themonster #'you should never punch something hard without BOTH handwraps AND boxing gloves'#'that's how you give yourself tendonitis'#bitch i didn't even know you were supposed to use wraps and gloves at the same time. i thought it was an either/or situation #and i forwent them most of the time anyway #i remember i felt very mature when i trained with a punching bag and wrapped my hands first instead of splitting my knuckles open #which i had definitely done before #that 5th grade police camp with the motto 'no pain no gain' really wormed itself deep now that i'm thinking about it
