my desire to write about gates and ash won
#1k in just outlining. uh oh.#this was SUPPOSED to be short#v little ash in this#she doesnt actually show up (yet) but she does like. influence everything. so she's still important#also a suprising amt of droz? enough that it'd probably need a relationship tag#platonic bc they're Buds but this specific part of it would be mostly abt them (and how gates forms the 6-4)#(and more generally copes with ash's death)#me: *tries to do anything else productive besides write*#my brain: 'anyways here's how gates processes trauma and her unhealthy coping mechanisms and also how she's terrified of losing those#close to her causing her to become very attached to the point of doing anything to protect them including tearing through imc forces and#putting herself in danger recklessly bc she can't stand the though of being completely alone again now that she's found a (sorta) family'#anyways. gates meta.#there's a lot more but like. limited tags and such.#she has such a rich character im losing my mind over it#its subtle kind of in the way that on the surface level she looks like a put together person but when you poke around like#'why is she so fiercely protective of the 6-4?'
